“The Curly Wolf is a solid espresso house, with Victorian, Gold Rush era decor. They also have a good selection of fine teas. It's probably the best place to hang and study in downtown Nevada City. They have strong, fast, free wi-fi. A real coffee shop vibe.”

“Meet my friend and owner Steffen, who's place is hard to find (there's no sign). Enjoy his roasted coffee, nosh on yummy edibles like the 6-minute egg with toast, and peruse a curated vinyl collection that showcases Nevada City's local musicians.”

“My personal favorite coffee in town. Shade grown, organic beans mean a low acidity in the espresso that makes me happy. The owners are sweet and live just down the street. Tell them I sent you. The decor and ambience could use an update but the coffee drinks are top notch. Nice sandwiches and bagels as well. They close at 4:00 so not for your evening coffee needs. Rita always has coloring books and crayons for the young ones. Wifi is reliable as well.”

“A new little restaurant and take out place. Dinners can be ordered ahead of time. They are creative and use locally sourced items but their meats are not from sustainable places.”
