“The best place for snorkelling on North Caicos. Take your snorkel and fins and drive fifteen minutes to the breathtaking Three Mary Cays (named after the three rocks just off the shore). Plenty of fish to be seen and shallow waters to swim in. ”

“Wade’s Green Plantation is located in the settlement of Kew in North Caicos. It is regarded as one of the best surviving example of a Loyalist plantation left anywhere in the Caribbean. Wade’s Green was established in 1798 to grow cotton. The site has charm and character and has great potential. It has been described as one of the finest examples of the colonial plantation buildings in existence. Wade’s Green Plantation historical site is managed by the Turks and Caicos National Trust and is typically opened on weekdays from 9:30-11:30 in the morning and from 2:30-4:00 in the afternoon. Admission and 30 minute tour is $10 per person.”

Beach
“This is our closest beach, just five minutes drive away. Walk along the beach and jump into the sea, or take a stroll to the left of the pier and up the empty beach, until you find the remains of the St Charles hotel, which no lies empty. Great for a walk around and explore. The beach is usually empty, like most of the beaches in North and Middle. ”

“Found off of King’s Road between Whitby and Horsestable Beach, this easy stop offers an excellent view south over the Flamingo Pond wetland on North Caicos. As the location’s name suggests, this area is typically inhabited by the West Indian Flamingo, and the flocks here are at times in the thousands. The main overlook area is about 300 feet from the pond, and the flamingos may be even farther out, so binoculars or a spotting scope will be necessary to get a really good view of the birds. This site is absolutely worth a quick stop on the chance that large numbers of flamingos are present, it however isn’t really a great spot for serious bird photography due to the difficulty in approaching.”

“The local hangout in North Caicos, the Barracuda Beach Bar sits right on the beach in Whitby. You’ll find the odd fellow tourist in there (but not too many) along with homeowners who are down visiting. Get one of the local Turks beers or order a cocktail. They serve food too. ”
