  • This was my first time using Airbnb and my experience could not have been better. I was checking in late evening but Sally didn't mind and met me with a warm smile and showed me to my room. I was also told where to find the Village shops and bar. The accommodation was superb, although the advert didn't say the kitchen was shared with 2 other bedrooms it wasn't a problem at all. The bedroom was very clean, very comfortable (comfiest bed I've ever slept in!) And well equipped. The bathroom was also clean and the shower was very good. There was tea, coffee and milk provided in the kitchen and crockery available, I had a take away in the evening. I would highly recommend this accommodation and thank you Sally.

  • Sally was really responsive and helped us out at very short notice. The house was easy to find with easy parking in front of the property. Room was as described and very comfortable. Nice kitchenette for making tea and coffee and snacks. Nice shower with good water pressure. A very comfortable stay and highly recommended.

The room is very comfortable with a TV and en suite bathroom with a really good shower. The kitchen area is fine for cooking your own food and has a table in the kitchen as well as a dining room. The house is not plush but is very comfortable and homeky and an absolute bargain with the en suite. Recommended!

We became part of the family and our daughter spent most her time with Maxine and her lovely daughter, Jaiyana, when they were at home. Maxine was very sensitive and checked with us even on small things. Her lovely pets were managed very well to allow us a comfortable stay. Thank you Maxine for making our stay memorable.

  • A spacious house with beautiful garden in a quiet residential neighbourhood just 2 minutes walk from Hessle railway station with a train service direct to Hull. I booked it for 4 people. We had access to a private sitting room - with plenty of space for a large group. The house was clean and bright. The bathroom facilities were very good. The host was helpful and responded to queries very quickly. I would recommend a stay.

There's regular buses & trains to Hull to attend City of Culture 2017 events, visit museums etc. Lg bedroom has double bed & TV & you are welcome to use rest of house. We have a very good Collie-cross dog who loves visitors & would be fine if you needed to bring a dog too (not left in without you).Self-serve breakfast provided - cereals, toast, fruit etc.
Our house is well decorated and maintained in keeping with its Victorian origins so it provides a comfortable place to stay. We love meeting new people and will be happy to give advice or information about local amenities and events in the area.

The Wolds Way starts from near the Humber Bridge within walking distance from our house.

  • Hiya, sorry for the slight delay; it was fab meeting you and Poppy. If or when I’m back that way I’ll certainly ask if I can stay again. Judith’s home is spacious and clean, with a very comfy bed, lovely bathroom and fab shower. I wanted for nothing when there, and even got to play with the resident dog and have doggy cuddles galore. The house is in a nice quiet street, easy to find just off a main road into Hull and close to a rail station for those not in a car. I’d stay again for sure, Judith went above and beyond to make sure I had all I needed for my short stay.

  • Judith is a lovely host and has a very cute and friendly dog! The room was really nice and had everything you could need including leaflets/booklets with info about things to do and see in hull. Judith also helped me with how to get to the nearest beach, which wasn't that far by train. Breakfast and drinks are included for you. The area itself is a pretty town which has more of a village feel to it, with nice pubs, restaurants and shops. It's about 20mins away from hull city centre by bus and the buses are cheap. Would deffo recommend a stay, especially as Hull is the capital of culture this year!

  • Lovely home in a great village. Highly recommend.

    Anna2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Prior communication and directions were excellent. This was our first airbnb experience and we didn't quite know what to expect. We were met with a friendly welcome and shown to our room and also a tour of the house. Our stay was to visit Hull and with the train station being a 5 minute walk, the location was fantastic. Maggie also gave us a few local taxi numbers which were really handy. With a late return and an early morning departure, we didn't get to spend too much time with Maggie and Graham, which was a shame, as it was a lovely evening for a glass of wine in the garden! I wouldn't hesitate to stay with such lovely hosts and would highly recommend ro all. A real home from home.

  • Very comfortable bedroom with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Maggie is an excellent host.

    Dana2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Without doubt the most fun Airbnb trip I've had. Maggie and Graham could not have been more welcoming! They invited me to join them for a drink in the sun and I'm glad I did - you're not going to find two friendlier, more entertaining Airbnb hosts (I definitely haven't, and I've met some amazing people) and the room itself was lovely and very close to transport into Hull. 10/10 would book again ;-)

    Ideal home
Hello! Our place is situated in the West Hull Village of Anlaby, which has excellent public transport links to the historic city centre, waterfront, bohemian Princes Avenue area and the KCom Stadium. Hull University, Humber Bridge and all the above are a short drive or cycle away. It is ideally suited to couples and small families. Anlaby itself has major stores, artisan shops and restaurants. It is also perfect as a Hull stop over for cyclists as it sits on the National Cycle Route 1.
The house is spacious with carefully selected mid century furniture.
Anlaby is well served by shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a village to the West of the city, close to the motorway, Humber Bridge, historic Beverley, the Yorkshire Wolds and is on the National Cycle Route 1.
  • Very comfortable house . Ideal for a couple although there were 2 single beds in the second bedroom. Had a really nice feel. Morrisons around the corner and small store in opposite direction. Easy to use the buses-about 15 minutes on the bus to the city centre. A few pubs and restaurants in fairly easy reach. Car parking outside the house or around the back. The road outside did not bother us. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Great property and host

    frances2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful few days in Anlaby. It was a great location for exploring Hull and the surrounding areas. Chris was in regular contact and the house was like a home from home.

    Gemma 2017-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyable stay in Chris's clean and surprisingly spacious mid-terrace house in a quiet residential area. Whilst we didn't meet Chris himself, he made check in easy and was always in contact with us to ensure the stay went well (even offering to let us check in early to help get me to football on time!). We'd happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

    Tom2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. Great communication with Chris. Lots of lovely little touches that made the stay special. Thanks again!

    John-Paul2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend Chris' property highly enough. The property itself is great - the location means it's extremely easy to get into Hull town, either with the bus or a taxi. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the whole house had a welcoming feel to it. Chris was a fantastic host - he gave us all the information we needed for our stay (transport info / how to get round Hull / things to do / etc.) and gave us a very warm welcome. He also supplied some nice bits and bobs for breakfast. We had a great time in Hull, and Chris' place was one of the best aspects of the trip! Stay here!

    Francis2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely place to stay in a very nice area close to local amenities. Stayed with 6 year old and she loved her room and we loved having an entire house! Spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. Great communication from our host too. Will be staying again on future visits to Hull.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Shelly and Ashley. Both are lovely people. I felt welcome from the moment I stepped inside their home. They go above and beyond for you when they don't have to. The home is out of this world, I wanted to stay forever. I can't wait until next time I have to be in the area so I can book again and go back to see them. I feel like I made a couple of friends which is unlike any of my other visits on AirBnB.

Alyson was extremely welcoming and very helpful. They were really accommodating with our late check in and offered us a lift to the train station the next day. • We had a great few days at Pru and Toddy's cottage. A wonderful place, cosy and charming and full of lovely touches. Pru was so accomodating and quick to respond to messages. The breakfast hamper was perfect, there were toys for the children to play with and the views were gorgeous - even when it rained! It was the perfect home from home!

    Annie2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for exploring the East Riding. Pru's place is very comfortable, nicely idiosyncratic (cool features, nice artwork), great selection of toys if you have kids and a properly supplied kitchen so you can really cook proper meals for yourself. We loved it here. The Aga coal fired furnace/stove is a trip. You do have to be on it, fueling it with coal twice every 24 hours, but honestly... we found this part of the charm of the place. Great value and Pru is very cool.
