“Alberta Location - Seriously- this place will ruin you for any other ice cream. Seasonal menu changes monthly. Several locations. Not to be missed while you are in Portland. The Alberta location is closest to Vancouver. Snickerdoodle is the bomb and always on the menu. ”

Steakhouse

“fantastic place for an upscale dinner. They have their own butcher shop onsite, so it’s a pretty meat-centric menu, but everything here is incredible. Go for lunch from the counter for a more casual experience. Either way, you can’t go wrong”

Donut Shop

“Voodoo Doughnut is a Portland institution. I don't know what that says about us, but well, there you have it. They make unique doughnut flavors and products, with names like "Dirt" and "Old Dirty Bastard", or the one topped with Captain Crunch cereal, or the "Grape Ape', and how could we forget "The Homer". My personal favorite alternates between the Bacon Maple Bar and Dirt (which is white icing covered in Oreo crumble). MMMMMMmnnnnnn doughnut!!”

Church
“Even if you aren't religious, The Grotto is a beautifully tended garden, and a nice place to come contemplate. It is an internationally renowned Catholic shrine and botanical garden. Set on 62 acres and featuring a 100 foot cliff, the garden opens up to many different vistas as you wind your way through the paths. During the holidays, The Grotto is decorated with thousands of lights in their annual Festival of Light.”
