Food and restaurants in Northwest Portland, Portland

Top restaurants

Rock Club
“American fast-food style burger in a bar/restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Most pubs in the neighborhood offer good, hefty burgers with plenty of dressings, this is a simpler, slightly smaller one, but solid and satisfying. This restaurant is attached to the lovely Mississippi Studios music venue.”

“Ok. Ignore this photo. Not a good representation of their cuisine. Imagine comfort food as comforting as you've ever had. Amazing breads. Sumptuous salads. Wholesome soups. Grits. Fluffly pancakes. We don't go here often because it's hard to get into, but if you're patient and want to experience amazingly prepared just good food, go here. And check out their instagram. ”

Beer Garden
“Visit a food cart pod $ Various locations The Portland Mercado isn’t the only kick-ass food cart pod in town. With spots like the late night Cartopia pod, The Prost! Marketplace (located, appropriately, at Prost! beer bar), Cartlandia, and the Carts on Foster, a visitor can easily get every meal from a food cart and get a robust sampling of the city’s culinary range.”

Garden
“One of Portland's coolest and most beautiful spots in a sketchy area. The Chinese Gardens are a full block radius oasis in Chinatown and so worth the visit. They have the Tao of Tea teahouse inside and you can easily spend a couple of hours relaxing and wandering and taking photos and having tea. Just be aware that Chinatown is not a nice area. It's an intriguing contrast. ”
