Parks & nature in Norwalk

Park
“Good place for a short run; open field to throw a Frisbee. What's not to like about 190 park acres in the neighborhood.”

Park
“The little park as your enter town. The historic home has a little museum about the area. I’m not sure the hours but they have regular events and you can find more details on their website. In the summer the park hosts concerts, Shakespeare on the Sound, local events, and the farmers market on Fridays.”

Harbour / Marina
“The Norwalk beach charges a hefty sum for cars to enter the parking area, but you can walk in for free. So I recommend if you want to drive to the beach, park in the area of Cove Marina where my boat is located. The entrance to the beach is at the end of Beach Road. Before the street dead-ends, there are two driveways on the right. Take a right into the first driveway - that is, the second to last driveway before the beach entrance. This is not the driveway next to mini-golf. It's the driveway about 1/10 mile before that. Walk into the beach from there. In summer, there'll be lots of parking. In colder months, many boats come out of the water so no as much parking. ”

“There's a playground, basketball courts, and tiny pond. It's about a 5 minute walk away. It's most pleasant in the morning and afternoon.”
