University
“Walk around campus for a gorgeous scene. Clemson University is known for how beautiful the campus is and that feeling of "something in those hills". You have to feel (and see it) to believe it.”

“Short hike up a paved path (1/2 mile round trip) to a 400 ft beautiful waterfall. Take the wooden steps down for a closer look.”

Bar
“This is the most nostalgic spot in Clemson, by far. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere compares to no other. If you're looking for good southern food, the meat and 3 is a MUST (not served on Saturdays). I'll let you in on a little secret that not a lot of people know about...you can get chicken fingers instead of the meats offered that specific day. The Esso Club has the BEST chicken fingers around. Don't miss out on this opportunity if you like chicken fingers. Esso Club also has really good chili. I recommend the nachos. ”

“A 0.8 mile trail out and back, moderately trafficked, very near downtown Highlands. This is the spot for a sunset view. Features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is accessible year-round.”

Grocery or Supermarket
“Bryson's is a nice small supermarket in the city of Highlands. Prices will be slightly higher than in Franklin, but if you are up the mountain, it may be practical to pay a little more and not have to drive 20 miles to Franklin. ”

Lake
“A beautiful lake only 15 minutes away with lots of beautiful houses and waterfalls. Two different good restaurants to eat at on the water also and several companies you can rent pontoons or jetskis from. If you love the outdoors I highly recommend a day on the lake!”
