“Ooty Lake lies at a distance of approximately 2 km from Ooty city in the district Nilgiris. The beautiful lake is spread over an area of 65 acres, and its foundation was laid down by John Sullivan who was the collector of Coimbatore in 1824. The Lake is surrounded by Eucalyptus trees and greenery all around. One can also spot numerous streams coming out through the hills. This is a perfect place to capture for people who are genuinely interested in photography. The lake is filled with beautiful water birds with the exotic Nilgiri mountain ranges in the background.”

“Most of the tourist think that Ooty is famous only for botanical garden, boat house, pykara etc.., Other than that Ooty is also famous or renowned for temples such as ayyappan temple, Elkhill temple etc..,The Elkhill is a Murugan temple and it is in the hills of the elk hill. Thaipusam is the famous religious festival that is celebrated in the month of January- Febuary to honour the Lord Murugan. There is a big standing statue of the Murugan in that place . The hill is sorrounded by the dense forests. The scenic beauty and calm atmosphere adds an extra attraction to the devotees inflicting that place. We can view whole Ooty city from this temple it gives such a beautiful view of Ooty. ”
