“There are about 4 fountains in this open-air shopping mall. The one next to Pain Du Monde and the one by Nordstrom are great to sit, enjoy a coffee and sometimes live entertainment or just watch the world go by. You'll see lots of beautiful people and world travelers along with plenty of dogs with their humans on leashes. There's a beautiful Koy pond that you don't want to miss. There are two food courts (an indoor and an outdoor one) and plenty of specialty shops like the Tesla and Cadillac stores. Catch a great view of the ocean and Catalina Island from the top of the outdoor escalator next to Macy's. Parking is free and there's a plenty of affordable shops, not just expensive ones. ”

“This is a very trendy and upscale shopping mall. They have Gucci, Chanel, Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, and many more. I found that the stores at this mall carry trendier and better quality items compared to the other malls. Although the mall is located in Orange County, I think it is work the drive if you are really into shopping. ”

“Pretty homes, shops and great views! You can walk around the entire west side of the island in about 30 minutes. Take the sidewalk that is to the right as you go across the bridge to enter the island. The sidewalk meanders between the homes and the water. You'll see cute beach cottages next to huge multi-million dollar homes with fabulous architecture. Walk along Marine Avenue to enjoy some cute shops, grab a cup of coffee or visit Bluth's Original Banana Stand that was ground zero for the "Arrested Development" sitcom. Parking can be a challenge on weekends. If it is, park on mainland and take the very pleasurable walk across the bridge to get to the island. ”

“Charles Bowers was a land developer who lived in Orange County and before he passed away he donated a plot of land to the city of Santa Ana. In 1931 after his wife had died, a building was constructed on the land and in 1936 the Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum was opened for the first time. Over the decades the museum has had various refurbishments and the museum’s size has increased tenfold. The museum is a great place to take a look at the different cultures in the world and there are over 100,000 items to peruse.”

Seafood Restaurant
“The story of the Cannery covers nearly 90 years of American history. It began in 1921 when the first commercial fish cannery was built along the Rhine channel between 30th Street and Lido Park Drive. The location was, and still is, the hub of commercial fishing boat activity in Newport Beach. The new Cannery Seafood of the Pacific is committed to continuing its promise of delivering the best and freshest seafood, steaks and chops. Ron and his staff are not reinventing the wheel, but with one eye on the Cannery’s rich history and one on the future, they are changing the ride.”
