Point of Interest
“This is an amazing place to visit. This is the home of president James Madison. This location is about a 50 minute drive from us, but the drive is very easy and peaceful. ”

Food
“It is a bit of a drive (35 mins) from here, but lovely tastings and great service. If into history, there is a "ruin" of Gov. Barbour's home which was designed by Jefferson that is worth a stroll and a look. If you go there, you are not far from another Frog Jump favorite, the Gordonsville BBQ. Just sayin.”

“A local German restaurant that's worth the splurge! Right at the end of our road and open on weekends and some weekdays. The waitstaff dresses in German garb and they serve huge beers! ”

Grocery or Supermarket
“We love Yoders Country Market! It is located about one hour away from us, however, it is worth the drive! They have the best jelly, jam, and honey! And also the best prices on those items. And you must try their sandwiches there! They also have a petting zoo! ”

Winery
“Horton rocks! Almost every Saturday, they throw some special event -- maybe 10 food trucks competing to be the best, or a pig roast, or a summer celebration described this way: "We will have yard games for kids and adults alike, as well as summer fun give away bags for children. Pop-up tents are welcome, as are your furry friends! There will also be communal lawn and picnic table games for everyone to enjoy! " Every day, Horton offers wine tastings for $6/person from 10 am to 5 pm. ”

Distillery
“Interesting and unique sightseeing opportunity. Tour the farm and the distillery. Until 30 years ago, whiskey for popular consumption, had been made in column stills, handling thousands of gallons per hour. Only at Belmont Farm, our whiskey is produced in a genuine solid copper pot still. While others may be flooding the market, our pot still whiskey is slow and handled with care, to preserve all of the aroma and taste of a fine fresh whiskey. Our copper pot still is truly the secret of our whiskey. 21+ years old to taste. www.belmontfarmdistillery.com”
