“Oxford has a similar dark sky reading to Lake Tekapo which is an international dark sky reserve area. This means that our night sky clarity and light pollution is as good as Lake Tekapo! Even without a telescope the star gazing on a clear night is stunning! If you enjoy gazing at the stars, planets, the Milky Way then Oxford is just the spot. Educational tours of the observatory are available (refer to their website/Facebook page).”
