To travel with style, try a palatial experience of Palazzo Cattolica Art -Apartment!
PALAZZO CATTLOICA is a private apartment very well located in the heart of the old city, in a magnificent and aristocratic palace whit a private imposing double courtyard: pretty much the perfect introduction to the decrepit grandeur of the historical center of Palermo. The magnificent palazzo from the 18th C, magically takes us back to the splendour of another time of aristocratic greatness and a stay within its walls is a unique and special experience Even though awaiting restoration, the wonderful staircase leading up to the apartment is very impressive with a headless classical statue. There are many stairs to climb to the apartment, but they are shallow, not tiring, and with such a glamorous old staircase, you barely notice the climb. "Despite the 134 steps to get here, the best kept secret of palermo!" (Irene) The lovely, quiet and sunny apartment is tastefully decorated with many personal artistic touches, with plants and flowers and artistic paintings. "Every items has its history, life and perfect plan in it" (Elena). The apartment is a very haven of peace and you can fell at home! From the sunny balcony and windows, you can enjoy of a vantage point of view above the lively town of Palermo. Stay in Palazzo Cattolica Art Apartment is a very adventurous and palatial experience! Description 2 communicating bedroom without any door between in a mezzanine, 1 Living room, 1 Dining room with a table for 4 peoples, kitchen, Bathroom with shower, private balcony with a great view and small table, 1 common outside open gallery to use partially and only in compliance with the neighbors. Surface area : 75 m2 Year of building construction : 1700, Date of last renovation of the apartment : 2011
Palermo can be beautiful but also gritty and suffocating so the apartment offered a wonderful respite. There are several very good restaurants very nearby and most attractions are within walking distance. Sheba Remy wrote: "There are leather workers, weavers, jewelers and a vintage clothing and accessory shop which rivals some of the best I've visited in London and NY. The owners of several of these establishments took time to talk to me and to share their knowledge and experiences. I was very charmed by that"
  • Antonio's apartment is splendidly situated in a very quiet and elegant neighbourhood in central Palermo. Although Antonio himself was not available to greet us at the time of our arrival our electronic communication was perfect and he kindly arranged transport for us from the airport ( and also to the airport when we left). The apartment is beautifully decorated , very bohemian , we genuinely felt it was like our home for 2 weeks . Palermo can be beautiful but also gritty and suffocating so the apartment offered a wonderful respite. There are several very good restaurants very nearby and most attractions are within walking distance - if you can work up the courage to cross the street ! We also had the pleasure to meet Antonio in person towards the end of our stay and he was as friendly and helpful as ever ! We wholeheartedly recommend Antonio as a host and his apartment !

  • An excellent accommodation in a perfect location in the middle of the old town. A very nice and helpful host, beautifully decorated place, comfortable and spotlessly clean. A1!!

  • Staying at Antonio's apartment was just perfect. Located in Kalsa, the most interesting and diverse district of town, the apartment provides a lot of space, lovely selected interior and warmth which made it easy to feel at home. Antonio was very nice indeed, and his list of hints was very helpful to get into charm and life of Palermo. Also a hike at Monte Pellegrino is highly recommended to see nature in Sicily.

  • I can truly recommend this flat to everyone who wishes to visit Palermo. It is an amazing apartment at the perfect location, close to nice restaurants and bars. Antonio is the perfect host, helpful and very friendly!

    Camilla2011-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent communication though didn't get to meet Antonio as he was away. The apartment is certainly singular! If you are looking for something different, whilst at the same time very well located, with private parking and on the whole pretty comfortable then go for it! Note that both bedrooms are on a mezzanine with an open archway between them so are not as 'private' as they might be!

    Ian2014-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful apartment in the heart of Palermo. We loved staying in Antonio's home and found him accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately the aircon had broken - but he quickly found an extra fan for the second bedroom, which we really appreciated. It should be noted that the two bedrooms are on a mezzanine level, joined by an arch, and so there is no privacy if two couples are sharing the apartment. For two friends, however, it would be perfect. The terrace is wonderful - laden with plants. And the marble staircase is grand and impressive. We loved being here, cooking meals in the evening and having fresh melon from Carrefour on the terrace. Definitely recommend!

    Annie2013-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Antonia's apartment is amazing and well worth the 130 steps to the door. The apartment is in the best area of Palermo and has everything that you need. We found the bed to be very hard but everything else was great.

    Adrienne2013-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • A unique place to stay in the centre of Palermo. When you enter and walk upstairs to the appartment you feel the history. The appartment is spacious with a lot of local art and plants.

  • This apartment is so amazing, I wish I owned it... Very pleasant experience overall - high level of hygiene (from toilet, appliances and furniture to bedding and towels), coffee and small breakfast available as well as refreshments and toiletries, great location especially if traveling by car. Maria Teresa is a wonderful and caring host. Upon arrival, we got stuck in queue at the car hire and she patiently waited for us until midnight! Would definitely go back :)

    Lorena2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment with possibly the best view in the whole bay, Mondello is beautiful and peaceful with easy access to Palermo. We had everything we needed and Maria Teresa was so kind and helpful collecting us from the bus stop and driving us to the supermarket to get groceries before the bank holiday. Grazie mille!

  • This was a great house! Very clean and comfortable! The view was wonderful from the terrace and we got some wonderful photos! The bed was very comfortable and the location was great to explore Palermo. Marie was a wonderful host and even gave our son a rubber duckie that he adores! I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

    Elissa2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was huge and the deck had the most amazing view. A joy to have breakfast while watch the boats sail out to sea. The place has everything you need. Wasn't a fan of the neighbours dog as he would constantly bark when anyone would walk by the house, other than that it was great.

    Brian2016-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is an apartment in Addaura, near to Mondello, with a great view of the bay, large terrace, central heating for the cooler months, one double room and two singles, nice kitchen, and a garage to use, as well.

    Richard2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view. House exactly as pictured. Very large place! Great value. Great apartment to relax. A little bit of a windy narrow road up to her house but worth it for the view. If your driving, a smaller car willbe best! Oh and a fatastic restaurant right down the road! 4 passi.

    Norena2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The location is absolutely breathtaking. Maria Teresa was a very helpful and gracious host that met us when we arrived and also when we left the property. Th e location is a bit out of the main town of Mondello so you will need a car to get to Mondello and Palermo, but it is a quiet neighbourhood. The apartment is very clean with a good sized main bedroom and a smaller room with 2 single beds. The terrace is large and has spectacular views over the Terranean Sea. A great spot to share a wine and watch the sunset over the coast as you chat about the sites and places you visited during the day. I highly recommend Attico Panoramico if you want to visit Palermo.

Assolutamente in centro. Monumenti, teatri, negozi, librerie, ristoranti ecc. raggiungibili a piedi. Si possono affittare le singole 5 stanze, tutte con proprio bagno, ma anche l'intera casa. Si può cucinare. C'è anche un appartamentino autonomo.
PLEASE: ATTENTION!!!! Although on Airbnb may appear that there is no availability can not be true! We have 5 rooms with bathroom and a self contained apartment, but if we rent a single room with Airbnb on the site appears that there is no availability because it's all busy! So you do in each case your request and we will respond if there is availability or not, ok? Ours is a large apartment, furnished with entirely recycled, as in the style of the owners, consisting of 5 bedrooms, 2 of which have a personal bathroom inside, and 3 rooms with 3 bathrooms for personal use but external (next to or in front of the rooms). There is also a lounge area with sofa, armchairs and hammock, a fitted and usable kitchen, and a terrace overlooking the historic center. The rooms are rented at 30 euro (for 1 person) or 50 (for 2 people). It is possible to rent all the apartment and a single room, too, obviously with kitchen and living room shared with the other possible guests. Adjacent to this large apartment there is also a self contained apartment, furnished and equipped. It consists of a very large room (with table, chairs, wardrobe, bookcase, tv, heat pump, wireless etc..). The kitchen is fitted and equipped (fridge, microwave etc..) And, of course, there is a bathroom with shower. Being completely independent, and not having space shared with the other guests of the large apartment of 5 rooms, we rent it at 50 euro for 1 person, 80 for 2 persons, etc..). Breakfast is not served but guests can prepare themselves whatever is available (coffee, milk, chocolate, tea, various snacks, jam, nutella, honey, butter, in portions, biscuits, bread... ). Sheets and bathrobes are changed weekly, towels whenever you wish. Guests who wish can be taken from us to be conducted at the b & b on arrival at Piazza Politeama (from the airport) or at the train station or at the port, without additional cost. The location of th (Website hidden by Airbnb) really at 50 meters to from the Teatro Massimo) allows you can visit the main monuments (visible from the terrace) easily by feet. Even the presence of the nearby popular market of Capo allows the purchase cheap fish and fruits and vegetables of all sorts. For longer periods, the apartment will obviously be rented at a different price.
  • A really lovely place to stay in Palermo, very nice colourful interior in a good location and a great host! maria was so helpful with information about Palermo, also she sent her son to help us find the apartment and carry our bags, and she even gave us a lift to collect our rental car!! Great to have a basic breakfast available too.

  • Thanks Nino and Maria, it was wonderful at your apartment. Especially the rooftop terrace gave some nice shots of Palermo. Very helpful and polite.....Good place to explore downtown.....

    Klaus2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was the perfect host - we were treated like good friends. The room was clean and comfortable, and the decoration is beautiful. The location is ideal for exploring the city, situated next to the best market, and within walking distance of everything. Maria went out of her way to make us feel at home, and we'll definitely visit again! Palermo is great!

    Ben2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place is centrally located and a great home to explore Palermo from. The best part, however, was the hospitality showed to us by Maria and the welcoming feel of the whole place. Thank you!

    Daniel2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in the middle of a wonderful city. Maria was an excellent host, telling us everything we needed even though we only stayed for one night. Will come back to the bigger apartment with our kids if we can:)

    Trygve2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment is so well located, despite our lack of time to visit Palermo, we have been able to reach a lot of places. The area is full of restaurant and bars, and the roof top is amazing. We got a warm welcome from Maria, a very nice and punchy host.

    Jean-Michel2014-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Maria is a hostest whom I will remember forever for her kindness and friendship toward me when I felt quite lost. She even went out of her way to book for me at Capo D ORlando at a wonderful resort facing the water. When I arrived she spent time talking and given me the layout of the place and she knows the city very well. SHe could be a guide.

    Charlene2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Please stay here! Location could not be better - directly behind the Theatre Massimo that is the central meeting point of the city. The common area is spacious and feels like a homely place you want to hang out, the kitchen is also equipped and great. If solo, there is the opportunity to meet other people (most are very friendly) but also have your own space and privacy. The room is huge with your own bathroom. The rooftop terrace gives an incredible panoramic view of the city and mountains. Capo market is just behind (1 min) to get fresh fruit, fish and other items. Maria is the kindest host, full of conversation on topics from society to history, and met me at the bus stop when I got in late at night. I really can't recommend it enough!

Sleek open-space located in a tranquil courtyard of a XVI century building in the heart of the historical district. Recently renovated, it expresses the owners’ passion for design.
Sleek open-space located in a tranquil courtyard of a XVI century building in the heart of the historical district. Recently renovated, it expresses the owners’ passion for design. The minimal and eclectic furniture characterizes the two large levels of this unique space which hosted photo shootings and art events. Loft92 owns a strategic position: a few meters away from Palermo’s main cultural hot spots and local nightlife attractions. The area is well served by public transportation and very well connected to the famous and beautiful beach of Mondello.
Loft92 is located in the historic center of beautiful Palermo on Via Maqueda, one of the most ancient boulevard in town. From the flat, it is an easy walk to Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria with the Fountain of Shame, the Churches of Martorana and San Cataldo the Cathedral, Palazzo dei Normanni, Palatine Chapel, and Teatro Massimo. Is very well connected to the public service. Walking distance from the Train Station and from the Coach Station. So it's a great location if you plan to be visiting other little towns. The historic center of Palermo can sometimes seem unsafe, but it really is not. I often stay with my children and we have no problems to move on foot, even in the later hours of the day. Anyway loft92 has access protected by a gate that prevents unauthorized personnel to enter. The major monuments of historical interest are within walking distance. One of the most beautiful markets of Europe, Ballaro is just around the corner and expands in the swarm of alleys that wind behind the main street. In the evening it's time to jump into the area in front of Via Maqueda, towards the sea direction, to join the nightlife of Palermo. I would avoid the market area and the train station area at night. Like in any big city I guess.
  • Stylish. Spacious. Secure parking right at your door. AND....New Free bus service goes all around the historic district (Centro Storico) and has stops right on Via Marqueda to the right or left within 30 meters.

  • The Loft is amazing. Beautifully designed, very central and spacious. We were traveling by car and the Palazzo also has internal parking facilities, therefore a godsend in Palermo! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sicily.

  • We stayed only a few days in Viola's perfect little apartment, but it felt like home immediately. After we arrived a little late Viola and her husband gave us the nicest warm welcome. The apartment holds every possible thing you could need, and we were happy to find a washing machine as well! Just like locals, our laundry cheered the narrow street of Palermo :-) We had a wonderful stay, in a safe and peaceful spot in a lively city, brimming with the nicest people. We will be back!

    Wilma2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean flat in a fantastic location. Viola also gave us great recommendations for restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again!

  • My boyfriend and I were there only a few hours due to an very early flight but place was as described. Very clean, good air con, and central location. Thank you Viola!

    Consuelo E2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was just as described: right in the middle of everything and brand spanking new. We loved the location and the fact that the sleeping area can be closed off with a door to allow midday naps sincw we were really jetlagged. we didn't need to use the kitchen since the food choices nearby were abundant but it is equipped with the essentials for those who want to cook. Viola was very reponsive to questions and easy to coordinate arrival and departure details, and Maurizio picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop even though we had an early arrival, as well as gave us good tips on where to go locally. it was a very convenient and comfortable stay, and we would come back again.

  • Viola apt is just great, recently renovated with top quality materials / well distributed conveniently placed in the center of Palermo walking distance from restaurants and all major places to visit / great heating as it was chilly outside / great to being able to have breakfast in the well equipped kitchen / overall we had a great time

    Bastien2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Violas place is clean, comfortable and stylish. It is very close to a local market, as well as many restaurants and sites. Viola was very helpful with her communications and in giving us directions and information. Her husband even picked us up at the port and brought us to the apartment. Great stay!

    Sarah2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Located in the old town next to a traditional square where you can find a local bar and shop. Very easy walking distance to the main attractions. Modern and stylish apartment. Parking close to flat could be troublesome. Attentive host. Recommend pizza place Frida (often a queue to get in) 300 metres turn left out of flat. Thanks again for a great stay at your appointment.

    Conor2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed by Viola's husband. He showed us the apartment and recommended places to eat and visit. We could park right outside the building. The apartment was very nice, clean, had an excellent bed, the heating and the internet both worked well. But, best of all, the location if perfect. Really in the middle of the center of Palermo. We were so happy we change our plans and stayed an extra night. We highly recommend this apartment and will certainly be back.

  • Our stay at Marcello's was perfect! Lovely apartment with everything you need, in a wonderful location. Marcello was so helpful in giving us tips on Palermo and made our trip very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Jessica2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marcello sent us some great advice and info as soon as we booked our stay at the apartment including places to see in Palermo and ideas of where to visit outside the city. We also received clear instructions on how to find the apartment which was in a perfect location and Marcello was there to meet us on arrival and talk us through the different parts of the city. He gave us some recommendations for great places to eat and a lovely bar to catch a bit of Palermo nightlife. We also visited the nearby Capo market for a glimpse at amazing fresh fish and vegetables for sale. The apartment itself was very clean, tidy and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely book again when visiting Palermo.

He talked us through the layout of the city and its history and provided us with loads of suggestions and recommendations and where to eat and what to see! His apartment is perfectly located to see all of the historic sites in Palermo and was extremely well looked after. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Marcellos apartment to anyone. Thanks Marcello

  • Lovely and spacious apartment with everything you need (food, drinks, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, q-tips, etc...), literally 200m from the Cathedral. Marcello was really nice, and helpful. He not only gave us advice about where to eat, and what to do but also came to our rescue when we first arrived, and had no idea where we were. Highly recommended!

    Sarah2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time back at Marcello’s apartment. When Marcello received me it was like seeing an old friend again. Besides Marcello being an amazing person, his apartment is super cozy with everything you need. Quite but yet steps away from everything in the center of the historic center. I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s here in palermo as I️ travel here very often and I️ always look to see if Marcello’s place is available first. His place makes you feel at home. Thank you Marcello!

  • Great apartment and location. Valentina made us feel really welcome. We would come back again.

  • Wow. We had high expectations based on the photos, descriptions and reviews and they were all exceeded. Everything about this luxury apartment is exceptional, except you almost don’t ever want to leave it to go out to experience the extraordinary attractions and dining experiences of Palermo because it is such a total pleasure to stay in it. In addition, the hosts are very exceptional and therefore this surely must be the best apartment in Palermo. PS: Ask for walking directions to Pasticceria Cappello, a bakery about 12-15 minutes away and well worth the walk. The famous dessert Setti Veli (7 layers of chocolate cake) was invented here and theirs is still the best. Also to the restaurant, Al Fondaco del Conte, which is even closer, but a little difficult to find. It was one of our top dining experiences during 6 weeks of travel in Spain, Sardinia, Malta & Sicily.

  • Valentina's place was very nice. It lets in lots of light and was a very welcoming place for us to stay in and cook in the evenings. Valentina was nice to meet us a little later in the day as our flight arrived in the evening. She connected us with a friend who has a car service and was able to pick us up from the airport. The location can feel a little sketchy in the evenings, but the quality of the apartment made up for it. And we were only a few minutes walk from the main pedestrian streets downtown which are very nice. I'd stay here again!

    Taylor2017-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was absolutely fantastic! Very clean and modern, with well-thought out facilities available, including towels, extra pillows, kitchen implements, fresh coffee and washing powder if you needed it! It was also in the local vicinity of the town centre (Valentina has plenty of books and maps in the apartment), roughly a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk from the nearest piazza but a 5 minute walk from the main street which runs into the centre and has plenty of fast-food, tourist shops and beautiful churches to view on the way. There is also a great restaurant just around the corner, if you don't want to venture too far. I would recommend for arrival having (Hidden by Airbnb) maps available, as without it I'm not sure we would have been able to navigate from the bus stop to the apartment - although Valentina was great at keeping in contact and giving advice. There is also wifi in the apartment, which was extremely useful! If you would like to visit Mondello (the beach) this is probably the only downside, as it's a 20 minute walk to the piazza with the bus stops to pick you up and take you there (but if you are spritely on your feet, it doesn't feel all that long!) Unfortunately (I don't believe this was purposefully misleading) the apartment only has 1 bedroom, when the website specifies it has 2, which meant my friend and I had to share a bed! Therefore unless you are very close, I wouldn't recommend this for a friend holiday, as the bathroom is also very open. The shower flooded the bathroom and we had to use our spare towels and additional bath mats to mop this up but I feel this is a minor flaw in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I would definitely recommend the apartment, it has great facilities, a really fantastic location and it has everything you need to stay there for 2 days to 2 weeks. There was also a great bar called Vespa Cafe, with really friendly locals that provides aperitif style snacks and generous alcohol servings - most suitable for a slightly younger crowd (I'm 25 and my friend is 30) but appropriate for everyone in early evening - definitely worth a visit to experience the local culture and a beautiful setting.

  • Wonderful location. We walked almost everywhere. She was a charming host. My wife loved to read on the rooftop terrace.

    Bob2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The White House is gorgeous! Very beautifully designed and so spacey for two people! The sofa bed was so comfortable and my friend also loved the comfortable bed upstairs. The multiple balcony’s around the house are great for sipping your morning coffee and watching the moon! The upstairs terrace is to die for and my friend and I went to the local supermarket and made a delicious feast with Rosè while we watched the sunset! So very beautiful. The house has a bathroom upstairs and a second toilet downstairs which we loved! The communication with our host was great, they always had time to answer our questions. The house had some nice touches like breakfast and cooking essentials! Great location, close to little shops and monuments. The only thing we really disliked was the shower. It was a little impractical because it flooded whenever we showered and due to this the drain cover kept popping out, causing us to slip at times. I don’t see that any other guest had this issue so it could be a simple maintenance issue with the drain. Our taxi driver had a lot of problems finding the apartment but after asking some locals, we found our way. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment for location, communication, space, price and comfort! Thank you for our stay :)

  • Daniele's apartment was very cool + unlike any other apartment we had stayed in during our 5 weeks of travelling. The terrace + the view is especially amazing! Daniele's friend Tommaso was also a great help - he picked us up from the train station & drove us to the airport for a small fare. He also gave us restaurant + sightseeing advice. We would recommend staying here.

  • Fabio was a great host and the apartment was perfect, lovelier than the pictures. Sadly we didn't get the chance to try the wine collection. Would absolutely recommend this as a base to explore Palermo.

    Alexia2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio's home was beautiful, just as depicted, and made for a very comfortable stay in Palermo. Should we come back to Palermo, we might look to stay somewhere closer to the heart of the city for convenience, but the apartment is still decently located, close to several museums and good places to eat. Thank you Fabio for a lovely stay.

  • Great stay, absolutely satisfied with the apartment! Decorated with taste + stylish bathroom. Fabio is also forthcoming, perfect host. Be prepared for a little Palermian morning noise, though no big deal. To be recommended.

  • This is how you want your Southern Europe apartment to look like! Loved the old furniture and other knick nacks. And love the combo of plastered walls and brick work. Very stylishly decorated. Think studio in boutique hotel. The bathroom seems newly renovated. It has some luxury feel to it. Very nice shower. Bed is a bit short but no footboard so tall people can stay here :) If you like, Fabio has a selection of wines for you ready. Great location. Ample restaurants closeby and off course the free shuttle to the main attractions if you don't fancy a walk. Have breakfast and more (best tiramisu we had in Western Sicily) at Ciocolateria Levanzo! Fabio and his wife were very friendly upon arrival. The apartment was super clean when we came in. Fabio answered all our questions we had in advance quickly and was flexible with the check in time. Two things you should know. The apartment is on the first floor and the steps are a bit steep. The entrance is around the corner of the address that's confirmed upon booking. Oh. One more thing. Fabio had an other place. I'm sure it's worth checking out as well.

  • Fabio's apartment is so charming and full of character. It's very well kept and was immaculately clean. The location is convenient for exploring Palermo with lots of nice places to eat and drink on the door step. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

  • This place is perfectly located near the nicest streets and spots. It is perfect for two people and beautifully decorated. Fabio and his wife were very friendly hosts! We can definitely recommend the place. Thank you Fabio e Nicoletta !

  • We stayed in the apartment for two days and were really happy with our choice: Fabio is a great host and the apartment ist really nice: tastefully furnished, comfortable and clean. It is great situated, you can reach the important sightseeing spots easily by foot and it's not a problem to find a parking nearby. We highly recomend this apartement and hope that we'll have the chance to come back one day!

  • Great place. Centrally located. Leo was a great host.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Leonardo's apartment. It was clean and had everything you needed to be comfortable. I especially appreciate the location that permitted me to walk to almost everywhere I wanted to go and with a Tourist Information Centre nearby. Leonardo was so helpful, especially when I left a parcel behind in the business I took to the city. Without Leo's assistance, the parcel would have been lost. I found the internet service unreliable. Thank you so much Leonardo for a great stay!

    Linda2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • All was as advertised, the location is top notch, the place cozy and Leonardo was responsive and helpful. Palermo is the place to see, incredible. I would recommend it.

  • Had a brilliant time in Palermo, the flat is in the perfect location for everything and Leonardo couldn't be friendlier. Thoroughly recommend.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Leonardo's apartment. The location could not be more centrally located, perfect walking distance to everything and right on the major bus lines north & south. You definitely feel like a part of the neighborhood! The interior courtyard is quite charming. The apartment itself is very comfortable and has everything you would need including washer and dryer. Leonardo was an excellent host, prompt in his communication and very helpful with restaurant and other local suggestions. I highly recommend this place for a stay in Palermo!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Casa Grande. The gardens and pool in particular were a highlight – our 18 month old loved exploring the endless gardens and fruit orchard on the site – there was so much for her to see and the views are even more magical than the photos suggest. Although we did see other guests, the pool was never crowded and we often had it to ourselves. We liked the rustic feel of the house – it felt like an authentic Italian experience. It was also a great base for being close to the airport – and we enjoyed day trips to Erice (to the east) and Cefalu (along the coast to the west). Highly recommended!

  • We - 4 adults + 4 small kids (2 - 5 years) rented casa Grande for one week holiday in may and we realy realy realy loved it. The suroundings are simply gorgeous, the kids were bussily entertained exploring the property, climbing trees, observing the cactuses and chasing the cats :). The view from the pool is great. The inside of the house is beautifuly designed and realy an experience on its own. The position of the house near the Puntaraisi airport is great, no more than 1h drive to Cefalu, 30 min to Palermo and Trapani. 1 h to St.Vito lo Capo. We thank especialy the host providing us with food for the first night, all our wishes were heard and quickly responded to. We loved this holiday and would recomend it to everyone!

    Meta2014-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Casa grande was a lovely rustic home on a farm environment, The house was comfortable and had all that was necessary. The host and hostess were there to greet us and even met us when we got lost. We found out that the property was a working olive oil farm, And we were informed that there was oil for sale. It would have been good to have some samples to try. I could not find anyone that could tell me where to get the oil If you like a soft mattress you may not like the beds as they are hard and hard to get used to. I would racommend casa grande for a family or a large group The view from the pool area was magical.

  • BELLISSIMO! Thank you, Giovanni and crew for a wonderful last minute get away for our family. The home and property were right out of a movie set. Beautiful gardens, terraces, pool, charms of older times and so much space, and the views! Wow! We found the property easily with Giovanni's instructions. We spent our days exploring the towns of Erice, Trapani, Marsala, Terrasini, & Castellemara del Golfo. Wifi was only available in the (outdoor) hot spot but it brought the kids together for games, chess lessons (2 boards in the main house), puzzles and lots of long discussions and great laughter. Just what this family needed. The shower heads are awesome! Old world charm with just enough modern updates throughout the house to make this stay extra special. Only negative we could think of was the beds are pretty hard. But, that seems to be an Italian thing. We look forward to returning!

  • Excellent place, The house correspond exactly to the pictures. A very charming place, great swimming pool with amazing view. The park is also amazing. Giovanni and his family are always keen to help. He suggested a fantastic restaurant (sea club) for my mum's birthday. We have spent a great week. The noise of the highway didn't disturb us, it is not a problem except if you want absolute silence. Thanks again to Giovanni and his family.

  • We stayed in Giovanni's house for 4 days with 8 of my friends and it was amaizing. The house has definitely the best view of the island, the garden is beautiful, the pool is incredible! Giovanni was very helpful and available for us. If you go to Sicilia, you must book this house! Thanks Giovani!!

  • Through Alberto I fell in love with Palermo. He's an amazing character, an experienced host, he will tell you anything you need to know about his beloved city. He transformed his apartment in a lovely, cozy B&B, that couldn't literally be more central! I was inspired by his care and passion about sustanaibility (he uses tree fruits for his laundry!) and environment.:D Highly recommended! Tamara & Vincenzo

  • Alberto is proud of his city, and he gave me lots of excellent ideas for things to do and see. The room is big and comfortable, and the area gave me a good sampling of the liveliness and chaos that is Palermo. Alberto gives his best effort to make your stay memorable, and he's very well-informed. A good experience.

  • The room was really big and very nice situated in the heart of Palermo. We really enjoyed staying at Alberto's apartment. He was really helpful and gave us a bunch of advices where to go, what to do etc. For sure I reccomend to chose his apartment to stay. You definitely won't regret! Grazie mille per tutto!

  • Alberto was one of our favourite hosts, even outside Sicily! He is a fantastic guide and takes great care of his visitors. On the first day he would give us a map and show us where to go, where to eat, what to see and what to not bother with, and took us all out for bar-hopping in the evening, trying the local cuisine. But it did not end there! Throughout our four night stay he would text us where there are local parties so that we don't miss a thing, even if he could not go. He has great tips about what to do in and outside Palermo, we could not have asked for more. If you like to know how the locals spend their time in Sicily, get away from tourist traps, eat good food and drink delicious 1 euro wine, Alberto is the one to stay with! The room itself is indeed very big and comfortable, just like on the pictures. The house is very cozy, there is a kitchen you can use to cook your own food, and two shared bathrooms for comfort. Alberto has two dogs that are very friendly and playful, but are kept in a separate room so they don't bother you. Overall, staying at Alberto's was a fantastic experience and a highlight of our trip to Sicily, and we would love to come back one day. Our warmest recommendations!

1600 historic building. Large private room with private bathroom, balcony with a view on the old Piazza San Francesco D'Assisi and its ancient church, and a charming terrace for your breakfast or lazy afternoons/evenings.
Beautiful, 16th century palace in the heart of historical Palermo. Private room, private restroom with bathtub, balcony with a view on the old Piazza San Francesco D'Assisi and its ancient church, and a charming terrace for your breakfast and/or lazy afternoons/evenings. Internet wi-fi; cable TV. Fourth floor, no elevator, but enchanting and shallow, not tiring, old and noble staircase (please note: restoration works have just started and the center of staircase is currently occupied with a safety metal structure. This does not mean that the beauty of the palace is not visible). The room has ancient Sicilian majolicas on the floor, and a vaulted ceiling, provided with fan. Full of light. Large, fresh and comfortable. Bath towels and bed linen provided. Train station and harbour at walking distance. Close to the buzz of local street life and most important monuments, parks, theaters, museums, street food areas, and beauties of the city. Plenty of choices in the vibrant surrounding area: food restaurants and wine bars, open-air markets, little shops, and supermarkets. Two cats live in the house with us.
You'll be in the historical center of the city. No car needed in one of the most traffic-congested cities in the world! Palermo is a city of colours, flavours and tastes. The people are very friendly and the city is as safe as any large city. Food is a big part of everyday life. The open-air markets (very fresh produce) of Il Capo, Ballaro, Via Sant’ Agostino and Via Bandiera are all within walking distance. Special grilled fish dishes, amazing pastries, ice cream, the rich, dense coffee, the unique bread with sesame seeds and the wide selection of Sicilian wines are available in almost every part of the city center.
  • You have to understand Palermo to get an appreciation for this place. Palermo was THE premiere City of the Mediterranean in the middle ages and flourished under the occupation and rule of different nationalities through the 18th century. So it is a grand ancient port city. But it has been tragically hit by war and earthquakes since then...and has never really recovered, so the historic part of the City is what the guidebooks call decayed grandeur. My husband said it resembles what he believes Rome must have looked like in about the 5th or 6th century AD. Tiziana's place is on the top (fourth) story of what was a 17th century Ducal palace. Her neighbor in the adjacent flat is a Count. You enter the place through huge gates off a narrow unimposing alleyway into a large courtyard that is now used as a car park...and from there into the palace where you mount a grand stairwell inlaid with marble patterns and niches with statuary. However...the structure is supported in places with "mine shaft like supports"...that were very surprising and unusual to us. That said, and once you get the luggage up the gradual shallow steps to the top floor, Tiziana's place is huge, comfortable, clean, light and airy with an large bedroom, comfortable bed and our own bathroom! There is a view out over the rooftops and into a Piazza with a lovely church. Tiziana lives in an upstairs bedroom and works during the day so you pretty much have the place to yourself after 8:30. Breakfast and coffee was a help yourself to anything in the larder/fridge at any time arrangement...which worked well for us. As the palace is located in the historic district you are close to all the highlights of this ancient and grand port city...and can walk to them with a stretch of the legs. Tiziana is an English translator so was easy and fun to communicate with and she arranged for us to have a day long driving tour with a friend who is teaches English to adults at a local night school and was previously a professional tour guide. Elianore took us to many wonderful sites in the beautiful mountain villages and seaside towns around Palermo and is an amazing guide and lovely woman. It was a pleasure to spend time with her and we could not have had any of the experiences that we did without her local knowledge and competent driving. Note, this is not a place you want to rent a car unless you have nerves of steel. The driving style is a lot like India...a giant moving game of chicken. It works for the locals but is beyond the capabilities of California drivers ;). Thank you Tiziana and Elianore for a wonderful experience in your City, countryside and home.

  • Where do I begin!? The place is amazing! The hostess is absolutely genuine, attentive and generous! I've had the best time of my life on the terrace at the heart of Palermo. I highly recommend. The location is just about perfect. The building is vintage class historic and inspiring! The apartment is more than a rental, it is a home for all who walk through the door. Cool cafe and typical, cafeteria-style restaurant in the street below. A stellar AirBnB experience.

  • Tiziana and Bruno were perfect hosts, there when I had a question and respectful of my privacy when I wanted it. Directions were perfect; she met me within a few minutes of my arrival. My Palermo interlude began with my luggage being hoisted the four flights by rope (the old way). Then I walked up to what must have been an elegant palazzo but unfortunately now is in disrepair. My room and the loggia were fine. The wifi always worked however the TV did not, fortunately I am not addicted. The street noise can be loud but It was not a problem for me. The ceiling fan kept the room comfortable. It was a delightful experience; I felt like a Sicilian. If I come this way again this is where I would stay.

  • Tizianas apartment is lovely and we would stay there again next time! The grandiose staircase leading to the 4th floor, the hight ceilings, the beautiful floor and the nearby restaurants and bars make it a splendid starting point for explorations.

  • Tiziana and Bruno's place was absolutely beautiful. Their communication was excellent before check in and we were welcomed by Bruno who told us everything we need to know and introduced us to the two lovely cats! The location is perfect for exploring Palermo and is surrounded by some great bars and restaurants. The room itself is comfortable and had everything we needed. We were just sorry we couldnt stay longer. We'll definitely be back!

  • We had a great time in Palermo staying at Tiziana & Bruno's. The place is in a 17th century building. So you experience the high ceilings & grandeur. Place is located close to the central station & other major tourist attractions. Tiziana was very quick with the responses & any queries. Bruno was kind enough to recommend us some great restaurants. Highly recommended.

  • What a fantastic apartment in a great area!! Warm & helpful hosts, would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes the idea of staying in a beautifully decayed former palace.

  • What a great holiday! Fabio was a great host and arranged to pick us up from the airport as we were arriving quite late into Palermo. The apartment was the perfect place to stay, it's right next to Piazza Marina which has a wonderful park. The apartment was secure and fully equipped, with a great selection of wine which you can buy at a very reasonable price. The place was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location is ideal as you're very close to the Marina and it's easy to get around, walking to the Cathedral is about a 20 minute walk. There are also loads of great places very close to the apartment, restaurants (Cana Enoteca, Gagini Restuarant) and Via Chaivettieri has loads of bars and it's lively at night. Fabio allowed us to stay in the apartment as long as we needed on the day of our flight and when I return to Palermo I'll definitely be staying again in the future. Many thanks!

    Rishi2016-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very stylish, with a lot of space and light, I loved the high ceilings! Nicoletta, Fabio's spouse, was very nice and friendly. I agree with the previous comments re good wine selection. After busy and noisy days outside in Palermo it was such a pleasure to return back home and chill out

    Helen2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed there two nights. Nice and clean flat in a calm locality. Confortable bed. You can park your car for free right in the street. Fabio and his wife were very nice and picked us up at the airport.

    Julien2014-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a beautiful time had in Fabios apartment! We enjoyed Palermo so much , and were very happy to have such a comfortable place to stay. If we'll come back to Sicily e would definitely book this apartment again!

    Hannah-Malaika2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We arranged an airport pickup with Fabio and had great conversations about Palermo on way to the apartment. Fabio and his daughter were extremely helpful with their recommendations of sites to see and food to eat. We would love to stay there again!

    Suvi2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio's apartment is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. It's in a perfect location for exploring Palermo by foot. It also feels very safe and is quiet at night time. Fabio and his daughter were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and they waited up to let us into the apartment despite it being late. They were very kind. Also the wine is beautiful and a nice bonus to staying there, I thoroughly recommend it.

    Peter2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio is the greatest host I ever had. He helped me a lot, bringing me from the airport to the apartment and back. He even gave me a little tour around the town. The apartment was nice decorated and clean. I think it's even better in summer. I visited Palermo in February and it was a pretty cold inside the house. One little detail you should know, there is the narrow stairs to get to the door) so you should be careful with the wine)

A spacious mono in the full centre of the city!! A stone's throw from the Cathedral, in the heart of Palermo, a charming studio apartment all equipped. Impossible not to fall in love.the check in start to the 11am until 10pm.Near this flat there is another flat(A CHIC STUDIO NEAR THE CATHEDRAL).
What makes it unique is the attention to detail, the choice of furnitures. It 'a nice and comfortable place.
Corso Vittorio Emanuele is one of the most important streets of the city the house is near everything; over to the Cathedral (1 minute away on foot), in front of the house and the Rice Museum is located next to Piazza Bologni, where Garibaldi stopped also.
  • Mauro's appartment could not be better located. It's just in the very city center. Apart from that, it has everything a couple could need to spent some days visiting Palermo; all you could need in kitchen, tv, hair dryer, even a couple of umbrellas if it's raining ;). Above all, it's very charming and clean. Experience was really good. Although we arrive very late and with delay (because of the plane), Mauro's friend was waiting for us and was really friendly and open to explain everything we could need. The rest of the days, Mauro has been always available for whatever ww could need. We will repeat when come back to Palermo.

    Marta2015-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Palermo with it's wonderful architecture and food. Mauro was a very helpful host and is very enthusiastic about Palermo. He obviously loves it and gave us some very good information on places to visit and where to eat. All his recommendations were excellent. Thank you Mauro, we had a wonderful 3 nights in your interesting apartment.

    Beverley2015-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mauro's apartment is ideally located and very comfortable. Mauro went out of his way to make us feel welcome and gave us a long list of must see/ must do in Palermo. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Sue2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay on a lovely studio right in the center of Palermo. Mauro was very nice and took the time to introduce us to the city by giving us tips and addresses, which was very precious.

    Gersende2015-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mauro was the perfect host with some fantastic tips on where to go out, places to see and ideas for food. Lovely small flat centrally located within walking distance of all the main sights. The flat was clean, comfortable and had everything you could ask for a weekend away and I would recommend it as an ideal location to get a real taste of Palermo.

  • Great location, nice apartment.

    Cecilie2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mauros apartment is right in the old city center of Palermo and a great spot from where you can explore the whole city. On arrival we were greeted warmly by a friend of Mauro's who also gave us a couple of very helpful tips on where to eat etc. The apartment itself has a wonderful charme to it and is equipped with everything you need. Although the bedrooms window goes out to one of the main roads of the city center, there is no problem with noise at all.

    Larissa2016-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mauro is the nicest man in the world!!! He is our favorite host so far. We chatted with him for like an hour. He gave us a map as well as recommendations for everything. The location is literally PERFECT. There is nowhere else you'd rather be. It's right on the pedestrian-only street. The only downside is no wifi .. However the shop downstairs has wifi that we connected to. But once they close for the night (around 2300) and reopen (0930) or so << there will be no wifi (and you need to ask them the password). But anyways, I would stay there again. Palermo is filled with warm people and we loved it.

The apartment in the storical center, in the historic arabic district named Al-Khalisa, situated in the Piazza Kalsa square and near the sea which you can reach in a minute by walk. Apartment is very comfortable, with a kitchen and a big bathroom.
  • Our host Violeta was lovely and flexible in terms of check-in and check-out times. We were looking for another place in Kalsa because we loved the area and decided to stay in Palermo a bit longer. So the location of the flat is great. The flat has everything you might need but overall feels a little cramped - the kitchen is very small. It's a place to sleep and shower in, but not so much spend time in.

  • Great place , really easy to find , close to everything you want to see !

    Hajnalka2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was quite lost getting there, deapite many kind people were giving me directions. Not speaking Italian, I couldn't quite understand. Violeta was very kind and texted me so that we could meet with her husband in the parking lot. We were able to rest in the beautiful room with air conditioning, eventually. The room had a kitchen with everything, washing machine, microwave and water pot etc despite its small size. Clean, efficient, and i came out with satisfaction.

  • This is a lovely little apartment in a lively but quiet area about 20 minutes walk from the Cathedral. It has everything you need and is really comfortable, with a good shower. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by with good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Violeta is very welcoming and tells you everything you need to know about the area. Thoroughly recommend!

  • Central well presented apartment for 2 people. Clean, comfortable and brilliantly located. I would recommend it to our fussiest friends.

  • We had a lovely stay in Violeta’s modern apartment. The location is excellent, as there are many restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk, and there is also also easy access to the cathedral and other historic monuments. The apartment itself was great for the two of us and was only about 30 minutes away from Palermo airport. Violeta was very friendly and gave us some good tips about the local area. Her communication was excellent and we would definitely stay here again.

    Katie2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Violetas husband met us at the apartment, and even though he didn't speak that much English, he had a way of making us understand what he wanted us to know. The area was perfect for us, it is within walking distance to everything you need, and the information Violeta gave us in advance made it really easy to find. I didn't expect that the apartment was going to be that modern, but we loved it. The bed was so conferrable that we actually overslept the day we were leaving. You have everything you need here. The shower was also great. If we are going back to Palermo we would definitely stay here again. I really recommend Violeta's amazing apartment. Thank you for letting us stay here :).

Room and private bathroom in spacious and bright privated house in front of the sea with two terraces. Located in Mondello's gulf, natural pearl, between two mounts. City center near, with bus, inside the park. 20 minutes far from the airport and nice walk easy to do.
The B&B is in a villa at the first floor in front of the sea, in Mondello's gulf. We've just to cross the road to be on the beach. The B&B has 2 terraces and the breakfast will be offered on the sea side. The room has a king size bed (1m70), wardrobe, a piece of furniture, chair, air-condition, ventilator on the ceiling and heating system. We have a baby cot for babies too. The bathroom with shower, sink, WC is in front of the room. A generous breakfast made with organic local products (home made yogurts, cake, bread, jam, butter, fruits, cereals with coffee or tea) will be offered on the terrace and in the living room in winter.
Mondello's gulf is unique, vast, between two mounts, the Mount Gallo, natural reserve where it's nice to go walking, or going on the top with good shoes, and the Mount Pellegrino in the park, until the city. The sea has a marvelous turquoise color and is very transparent, as Caribbean! This on the one hand. On the other hand we're near the center of the city, it's easy to go with the bus, we can visit monuments, museums, theater, do shopping but after come back in Mondello and appreciate the quality of life (fresh marine air and more quietness).
  • Annick and Giorgio were great hosts. Calm, kind, and helpful. I arranged airport transfers with them each way and they helped me with my bags. The apt is nicely located on the beach front, close to all stores and restaurants. Clean, charming, peaceful, good wifi. The room I was in had great wifi and air conditioning. The terrace view of the beach was so pretty, fun, and colorful. Was such a nice view to start the day. Staying here was perfect for a solo traveler and my first time visiting Sicily/Mondello. Look forward to staying with them again. Grazie Mile Annick! Big hugs

  • The Terrace was great; the apartment is wonderfully situated overlooking Mondello's beautiful beach. Lovely room with a/c; the private bathroom is across the hall but works very well. Breakfast on either terrace is excellent, especially Annicke's homemade yoghurt. Annicke and Georgio could not have been more welcoming. It was like staying with friends and now we feel they are.

    Robert2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • As an owner of a B&B we also host guests for breakfast and dinner. We try to make our guests welcome and provide a warm and lovely environment. This is exactly what Annick and Georgia did. They were welcoming and easy to talk to. They were helpful and provided a wonderful breakfast not he terrace for us. My son who is 23 ended up joining us and we gave them warning so they allowed him to rent their son's room for a nominal charge. It was great to be all together. We felt at home in their home and we could be ourselves and comfortable walk around. They have many books and fun things to look at and their house is amazing. We feel like we have made great friends.

  • This is by far the best experience I have had with air bnb! Annick was an amazing host with some of the best homemade breakfast cakes that I have ever had. The location was perfect, the home was very clean, and Annick was very helpful in suggesting places to see and eat. My only regret it that I couldn’t stay longer. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us Annick, we hope to see you again!

He kindly organised a lift for us from the airport so that we didn't have to catch an expensive taxi. He communicated well leading up to the stay and was extremely helpful! We hope to stay again one day!!

  • Really nice apartment, really big and very comfortable. It is slightly out of town but not a far walk and you get some nice prosecco bars on the walk in. The downside was there was no hot water and the wifi was patchy also we did not notice the 20 Euro fee for arriving after 9pm.

    Simon2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very pleasant, close and very well placed by the historic center, all the travels can be made in feet. Alessio's welcome is very warm and its advice and its assistant were precious for our stay. To note just Extro Café in front of the apartment which serves meals of very good quality and copious.

His communication throughout the process was great and he even came and picked us up from the airport when our plane was delayed ! The apartment was spotless and we were greeted by home baked biscotti and a jar of his mums pasta sauce which was delightful. He also gave us some great tips on where to eat and what to do. Would Definitely recommend his apartment to anyone looking to stay in Palermo !

  • Staying at Sofia's House was absolutely lovely. Alessio was a wonderful host, and although he was unable to pick us up from the airport, his cousin came instead. There were homemade biscuits/cakes for us to try and the apartment was clean and welcoming. He answered any questions that we had and made us feel welcome in Palermo. I would recommend staying here to my friends and family if they ever wanted to visit Sicily!

I love Vucciria with its market (fresh fish to cook every day), the 'Taverna Azzurra' is great for taste the famous Sangue siciliano at sunset and street food during the evening ... we will give you the best suggestion for lunches in the taverns of the area where the food is really cheap.

  • This is a gem of a place, very central - however quiet. A great place to explore the city. Gaia was extremely helpful offering many great suggestions for meals and places to visit. Lots of thoughtful touches in the apartment to make your stay even more comfortable.

  • It was a great pleasure to stay in this apartment for a week! Strategically located in the centre of Palermo near plenty of good restaurants, trendy bars, markets, shops and sights. However so peaceful when you are inside the apartment that you don't have any notion that all these facilities are nearby. The interior is spotless and tastefully decorated with modern art and antique artefacts such as an antique tile floor in the kitchen, which give this place a very personal touch. You can say that everything is done with great personality, attention to detail and care, wether it's the decor or the personal contact with the owners, for instance they came immediately after booking with an extensive list of great inside tips, which you won't find in guides easily. It was for sure how an Airbnb experience should be!!!

  • The apartment is perfectly located in the central historical center but extremely tranquil since it is located in an old palace. Gaia and Pietro are perfect hosts, they went out of their way to make our stay special while in Palermo. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay and restaurants, shops and grocery stores are easily within walking distance. I recommend highly to stay here when visiting Palermo.

  • We loved Palermo but I can say it was made all the better for staying at Gaia and Pietro's apartment. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The location was great for exploring Palermo. The real value came from the detailed recommendations provided by Gaia and Pietro. With Pietro and Gaia's guidance our short stop in Palermo became a fantastic adventure of discovery; street food, culture and history.

    Samuel2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely happy with our choice, both the apartment and its hosts were outstanding. The apartment is located within walking distance to all the local sights, making it much easier to navigate around Palermo. Gaia was so helpful with any enquiries and made the extra effort to help resolve any issues. Thank you for making our stay special and we hope to return again soon.

  • What a beautiful place to stay. Marida is a great host, really helpful with making you feel at home and making suggestions of the best places to stay and restaurants to eat in. The villa was clean and inviting. And a great place to settle into for a holiday. The little terrace put the front was great to sit and admire the amazing views whilst eating lunch. Location wise we felt we had the perfect little hideaway, we did need the car but we were also in walking distance of Santa Flavia and the train station that took us into Palermo. We had a lovely stay, really peaceful & relaxing in beautiful surroundings.

    Becky2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and relaxing villa on the outskirts of Palermo. Easy access to the train station for travel into Palermo and to other destinations in Sicily. We stayed for a month and the apartment was always quiet and comfortable. Marida and her husband are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We also enjoyed meeting their dog and cats!

    Roger2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm welcome for Marida. The location is stunning, we could have easily spent the whole time around the pool. But is you want to get out and about there is a great beach 5 minutes drive away and Palermo just 20 minutes on the train. Some really nice (and very well priced restaurants) in Bagheria which is just up the road. Also 2 minute drive to a big EuroSpar super market.

    Martin2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa’s Villa is absolutely charming . The decor is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the pool with the lovely view . Access to the train is fantastic.... highly recommend staying here !

    Karen2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marida is a lovely lady who wants to give her guests everything that they could need and countless suggestions. Marida and the villa itself were great. The only negative is that in order to get anywhere you would have to drive. This villa is very secluded from any downtown area. If you want to stay here, you would absolutely need a car of your own.

    Grace2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement was a bit remote, but we experienced this in a very positive way. Marida and her dog Baba were always around at the property and gave us lots of attention and good advice on points of interest. You can reach the appartement by car, but also the train is an interesting option. The bed was a bit hard for our taste, but we could rest next to the pool during daytime. We would love to visit again in the future!

    Michiel2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Marida and her husband (as well as their lovely pets) are wonderful hosts. They have done their best to make us feel like home and get lots of helpful advice. The views from Villa are breathtaking and the place itself is equipped with all the necessary.

    Антон2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa is a wonderful host. The apartment was exactly as listed. The pool and the location even better. This is a great location to explore the Palermo area. We had a car, and I think this is best as nothing is easily walkable. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the pool and then explore the history and beaches on day trips, you won't be disappointed. We would happily stay here again. We have stayed in a lot of airbnb's. This one rates as one of our best stays.

  • Davide’s place was great for our long weekend in Palermo. There were three of us (one couple, one friend) that comfortably fit in the apartment. Davide happily accommodated our needs during the stay and answered any questions that we had. The apartment is centrally located and walkable to main sights in the city. After sightseeing during the day, we found the awesome roofdeck a great place to enjoy some sun or have a few drinks at night. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

    Andrew2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind host who was flexible to pick us up when our flight was delayed for 4 hours. The place itself is very very nice. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night!

    Maximilian2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, nothing but praise for this place. Favorite part was drinking wine on the rooftop and the washer was a nice touch.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Davide's. Davide was so sweet as to pick me up at the station to drive me to the flat on arrival and give me useful info on the city and things to do. He was available and very quick to answer when I contacted him. The flat is absolutely lovely, nicely furnished, very clean (I got worried when I saw smockers were allowed but it absolutely did not smell of smoke, everything (towels, bedclothes, cushions...) smelled nice and clean) and I enjoyed the super terrace a LOT! The location is good, it is near to everything (historical city center, night life, main streets, supermarket...) but in a authentic/ transforming area and a rather quiet walking street, which I really enjoyed. I would definetely recommend this flat, it is one of the best Airbnb I have rented so far and I hope to come back!

  • We had a great stay at Andreas apartment. It was a nice and spacious place (certainly for 2 people), walking distance to the city centre and a balcony with a great view over Palermo's cathedral. Andrea was not in town, but he arranged for a friend to hand us over the key, which went very smooth. Overall, highly recommended!

    Joachim2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in Palermo at Andrea's flat. Andrea was kind and helpful and gave us lots of useful information about Palermo. The flat has a stunning view of the cathedral and the mountains from the terrace. It was within walking distance of all the main sites - castle, markets, churches etc. You could hear the street noise, but it was not too bad and was all part of the atmosphere of being in the middle of Palermo. I would throughly recommend this Airbnb and would go there again.

    Sophia2014-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea met us right at the bus stop as promised, taking us straight to the apartment located just a few minutes by foot from the stunning Palermo Cathedral. The apartment itself is amazingly spacious with an incredible view of the city center. All communication with him was quick and easy, and he even offered to drive us down to the pier to catch our ferry to the islands. I'd absolutely recommend both the apartment and Andrea's services should you decide to visit this unique city.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Alberto D’Arpo’s home. I felt an immediate kinship with him and enjoyed his sense of humor, his knowledge and love of his of his home city Palermo. I appreciated that he marked on the tourist map of Palermo numerous places to find small local non tourists restaurants which I went to and had excellent meals and friendly atmosphere. If you want a place to stay that’s at the crossroads of Palermo, (Via Roma and Via Vittorio Emanuele) close to all the famous markets, the sea, historical sites, rail and bus connections with a host that that is thoughtful, and keeps a clean friendly BnB. I will stay at Alberto’s home when I return to finish my tour of Sicily.

    Philip2013-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Bottom line: we had a wonderful stay at Alberto's! The alley stinks a little of urine, the stairway of the house is scary and when you knock on the door two dogs start barking. We were almost going to just walk away and look for somewhere else to sleep. We didn't. And I'm glad we didn't. The apartment is very nice. Everything is very clean, the kitchen has everything you might need, the sheets smelled clean, the dogs were only allowed in Alberto's room, thr location is just perfect. In the middle of everything so everywhere you might want to go is in a walking distance. And most importantly, Alberto was a great host. He told us where to go, what to see, where to eat (amazing food), what to avoid and what to take care of. Couldn't have been better! Just don't let the entrance scare you off :)

    Ismail2014-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location. Description posted on airbnb 100% accurate, as almost everyone highlight, Alberto's tips & recommendations were doubtless best complement received. Thanks a million!

    Pablo2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • It has perfect location to explore Palermo, has a lot of good restaurants around and close to main attractions. The room is comfortable, esp with the airconditioner but has only 1 problem, mosquito (even with the mosquito prevention the host gave us)! Alberto is really nice and kind, he helps us out a lot!

    Trang2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • First of all Alberto is the heart of the house, very warm welcoming, nice, funny and he gave us excellent tips to discover Palermo. Last but not least the flat is very nice, clean, comfortable and with an excellent location in the city center. If we have the chance to go back to Palermo we would absolutely request to stay with Alberto!

  • Vincenzo is a really cool guy. The apartment was beautiful and very central. Thank you for being a great host!

  • Vincenzo was a fab host! He is extremely friendly, outgoing and always wants to make you feel welcome/at home. Vincenzo was always responsive via text whenever we needed help or had any questions. The first day we arrived he provided us with a map and highlighted all of the best tourists spots and delicious Sicilian restaurants (which we tried all of, of course!) for us to visit. He strongly recommended visiting Mondello Beach which we hadn't thought of before but so glad we did as it was lovely. We were reminded to make use of the communal areas whenever we like and also encouraged to try the food him and his friends had made in the kitchen, which was so kind! He also offered to show us the nightlife with his friends and generously arranged us a ride to the port when we were leaving. The place has more of a cool hostel feel as everyone is so friendly and outgoing - great if you want to make friends and explore!

  • Vincenzo is a really friendly and hospitable host, I had no problems in communication with him. He is open for any questions about the city (e.g. suggestions for restaurants). Also his apartment is nicely furnished and our room was clean. Would recommend!

  • We were only there for 1 night prior to an early morning flight but we found Vincenzo to be an extremely friendly host. Although the location is very central it was quite noisy at night.

    Henri2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Vincenzo was an excellent host. He made excellent suggestions and was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction of where to go. The room is exactly as pictured and the apartment is well situated.

  • It was the perfect start of our holidays in sicily! Thank you!!!! Vincenzo and his friends are the perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome, thanks for the icecream again..., and gave us great tipps. The appartment is very pretty and clean and perfectly located to explore beautiful Palermo. We would come back any time! Mille grazie, Kerstin and Basti

  • Vincenzo is a really cool guy. The location of the place is top! So close to the city center, and the restaurant downstairs is just so cheap and so tasty. The place is clean and spacious. However the place doesn't have WIFI. If you are a very "digital" traveler who replies heavily on internet, like me, you should be aware. There is WIFI in the restaurant downstairs though.

  • Antonio, vincenzos flatmate, received us. He told us where everything was, how to get in and out and we were set. Perfect host and beautiful house.

Zyz is located on the mezzanine floor of a beautiful 1930s building in the heart of the commercial centre of Palermo, just a few steps from Politeama Theater. There are two double bedrooms, one in the loft above the open-plan kitchen/living room with sofa bed, one bathroom with shower and a small laundry. I provide my guests with a personal guidebook full of local recommendations. There are bars that play music in the evening nearby. Lots of options to enjoy the nightlife but it can be noisy.
There are two double bedrooms, one in the loft above the open-plan kitchen/living room with sofa bed, one bathroom with shower and a small laundry with washing machine, iron and iron board. All bedrooms are equipped with split system A/C, parquet flooring with antique majolica tiles. The recent renovation included the replacement of furniture (beds, wardrobes and kitchen ) and new windows with double glazing for complete thermal insulation. The apartment is equipped with unlimited wi-fi 10 mbps, tv, dvd player, Harman Kardon sound system, percolator, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, a complete kitchen (cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery), bed linen and towels. We can also provide you with a crib and highchair at no additional cost, please ask for it before you check in if needed.

This location affords guests ease of access to all of Palermo on foot, if desired, including the old markets of the historic centre, the Cathedral and countless other attractions of this fascinating and lively city. The area is well known to be the nicest of the city for shops, prestige, safety and night life. Just few meters from home there is also a Hammam (turkish bath/massage). Despite being the most chic district of the city it is still Palermo, a fascinating city, rich in history and culture and lively both day and night.
  • This is a great place to relax after spending time taking in all the sights of Palermo. Close to lots of great cafe's and restaurants. the place was super clean and communication was great. Thanks heaps Bruno and Angela.

    Renee2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Bruno's flat was perfect for a city break. The flat is in a great location, not a touristy area but super close to all the main attractions. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby. The flat itself was beautiful. Spacious, well-equipped (fridge, aircon, washing machine, etc) and spotlessly clean. Communication with Bruno was always prompt and although we didn't get to meet him, his mother was really welcoming and friendly and our check-in went smoothly. All in all, it was a perfect holiday experience and I would fully recommend Bruno's flat to others visiting Palermo.

    Rikki2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely convenient location. No surprise with the flat, as nice and cozy as the photos. Very hospitable host. The light went off and we did not know where the switch was but someone was at the door to help as soon as they heard about it, and the switch was just outside the apartement. We definitely would go back there. Tidy, nice and clean. Posto estremamente conveniente. Nessuna sorpresa con la casa, proprio carina come vista sulle foto. L'accoglienza buonissima. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con la luce ma è stato riparato appena l'hanno saputo. Ci ritorneremmo volentieri. Bello, pulito. Très bien situé, super coin du centre ville. Appartement aussi sympa et joli que les photos. Superbe accueil. Petit problème d'electricité réparé dès qu'ils ont su, le disjoncteur était juste à l'entrée. On y retournera bien volontier. Propre, net, bien arrangé. Excelente ubicación al centro de la ciudad. Depa muy bonito como las fotos. Muy buen anfitrión. Pequeño problema con la luz que arreglaron apena supieron. Definitivamente regresaremos. Muy agradable, limpio y organizado.

  • Although Bruno was not in town his mom was a very gracious host. She welcomed us warmly upon arrival and provided some advice on places to visit in the area. The location is fairly quiet and close enough to the centre. The apartment is very quaint and the pictures fairly depict it.

    Danielle2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • My 3 teenage daughters and I felt very welcomed and cared for at Bruno's place. Angela(Bruno's mom) welcomed us for check-in and showed us around. She had left us some fruit, a bottle of wine, maps and an emergency number. We felt very safe walking home as there are restaurants all around and the entry was well lit. The apartment had everything we needed and more. The place was clean and felt like home. The only down side is that we did not get to stay longer as we had planned our travels elsewhere. Thank you once again Bruno and Angela!

    Annick2015-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The host met us at the apartment. The pictures are accurate.

    Anna2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an experience! Bruno is so attentive and we felt so pampered while there. His attention to detail is amazing and we were in love with his loft apartment. The location couldn't be better and we wish we could stay there longer. Thank you Bruno!

    Lynda2015-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Bruno's Mom met us there and she was very sweet. My broken Italian helped a lot in Palermo! I loved the apartment, however, the bar next door can get a bit loud even on a Sunday or Monday night. Bruno kindly left us earplugs which mostly solved the issue.

  • Giovanni was really welcoming, and despite the language barrier gave us some great local recommendations. (Hidden by Airbnb) translate came in very useful! The apartment is huge, and really lovely, with amazing furniture. Even nicer than in the pictures. There is not much natural light, but this helped keep it cool during the hot Scicilian days. Would definitely recommend.

  • Fantastic experience and lovely host. Gorgeous and unique apartment in a great location. Giovanni made us feel at home and was very helpful.

  • This is such a lovely apartment, it's in one of the nicest sections of the center of Palermo, and there is good parking outside if you have a car.

  • This place is fantastic, exactly as the photos show. Giovanni is such a cool guy! His style is amazing as the apartment is filled with very cool and beautiful furniture, art, etc. The place is walking distance to everywhere we went, and also very secure at night as you need a key to get into the courtyard where the building is located. We loved our stay, it was perfect. Grazie Giovanni!

The Studio flat is located in Cefalù, V.Bellini Street, just 100 mt. from the main beach. It combines living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with shower in one large room. The interior design is simple and functional facing a garden that includes barbecue, shower and solarium. Facilities: Tv, internet Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating, laundry and unattended free parking. Ideally located in a very quiet area but even close to the historical center (10 minutes walking), to the post office and other nice shops. You can forget the car or bus.. you can walk everywhere!
  • The review is actually for this Luigi's apartment - https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/2719004?s=tYMc The original place was double booked, so we had to move to another one. The apartment is quite big and looks new. Although the couch in the dining room is old and filthy, it definitely needs to be replaced. The location of the apartment is perfect, it's in quiet neighbourhood, but also 3 mins walk from the beach. Cefalu is not very big so you have all the places you need quite close (shops, restaurants, banks etc). There was no iron, but Luigi brought one upon request. We had a minor problem with electricity going off once during the day. But a quick call to Luigi and he has fixed it in about 10 mins.

    Nick2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Luigi’s place is amazing! We loved everything about the apartment from the decor to the comfort and as a bonus it’s only 5 minutes walk to the beach and less than 1 minute to the supermarket! Luigi was there to greet us and he was happy to help with any queries and requests we had. A perfect holiday, thank you!

    Ryan2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Luigi was a very good host, friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. He put a baby cot into the apartment for us. The apartment was comfortable with a nice terrace such as shown in the pictures. Thank you Luigi for hosting our family.

    Szilvia2016-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 6 nights in Luigi´s appartement in Cefalu and had a great time there! The location is very good and you can reach the beach and the old town easily. Cefalu is a beautiful place with lots of restaurants and bars, we a had very tastefull food at La Trinacria and some delicious cocktails at Maljk directly on the beach. Luigi and his mother are very friendly. Greetings from Germany!

    Bernd2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. Looks just like the pictures. Good location if you want to be near the beach and just outside the historic centre. Lovely and quiet at night. Luigi and his mum were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant recommendations. Definitely eat at La Brace. Thanks

    Mark2015-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Luigi was a great host, he met us in front of the place and was very helpful in finding parking. He has a guidebook that he created with tips for restaurants and places to see which is a nice touch. The studio is as described in the review and a perfect walking distance from historic Cefalu.

    Michael2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • The studio looks exactly like the photos and is very comfortable. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Cefalu. The garden is a very quiet and a relaxing place to return to after a day at the beach (including a shower in the garden!). The location is perfect; close to the beach and within walking distance of the center of Cefalu. Luigi as well as the cats in de garden gave us a warm welcome. We had a great time here and would very much recommend this place to others!

  • The accommodation really made us feel like we were on holiday, after travelling Sicily for two weeks staying in big town houses, we really felt relaxed once we arrived here. The lication was brilliant, right next to the supermarket, we would pick up fresh bread and orange juice for breakfast. The room was perfect for a mini break- it was clean and nice, exactly like the pictures! Beautiful outside area with washing facilities and a bbq! Fantastic little hidden gem!

  • My stay here was fantastic! Ruggero was really helpful with my many questions. The apartment itself was really well equipped with all the basics you would need, even for a longer stay. The neighborhood was a bit noisy (up late and up early!) But if you closed the windows/doors it was possible to block out the noise. It wasn't particularly hot when I was there, but I imagine it would be a cool oasis in the height of summer!

Inside is a little dark, but there is a very nice terrace. Wifi is transportable which is very convenient, even if the signal is weak. Communication with Ruggero was good, he was always very responsive ! Ruggero was very welcome, and he gave us tips of address in Palermo! Central Station easily accessible on foot, convenient for excursions in the area of Parlerme I recommend Ruggero apartment to stay in Palermo!

  • Amazing apartment for two female travelers. 15 minute walk to the center/touristy area. Location is great, off the beaten path so quieter than main areas but very safe. Located between two beautiful churches. Balcony made the stay, and created an authentic atmosphere. Very clean apartment and the host was quick to respond if needed. Great place to stay!

  • Giuliana was very welcoming, her apartment is beautiful, very nicely decorated and very spacious. Located in the perfect area of the city for sightseeing, restaurants etc. Highly recommended.

    Jim2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Giuliana's beautiful apartment was in a perfect location for exploring the wonders of Palermo on foot. We loved attending our first ever opera at Teatro Massimo and shopping at the nearby markets. Our only concern was the proximity to a nightclub which plays doof doof music all through the night on weekends.

    Ges2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • It is a very nice and centrally located accommodation. The terrace is perfect for relaxing dinner. Everything was very clean and the apartment is very quiet. The host is very helpful and friendly. She gave us a lot of information about the city and transport. This flat is highly recommended for couples who want to visit Palermo and its surroundings a few days.

    Bruno2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We have spent one week in with our 7 months-old daughter in Giuls appartment in Palermo. The appartment is really nice and clean. It is located in the center-center of Palermo. Guils was very welcoming and helpful with any question we had. She is also giving good suggestions of where to go etc if you want. Parking was not a problem as there is a square directly in front of the building in which the appartment is located. The appartment was very well equipped with everything we needed. The building complex is upscale and has a doorman and an elevator. The bedroom is upstairs, where we could even accomodate our baby bed. The weather was not nice to us, so we did not get to use much of the lovely terrace. There are various bars and clubs in the neighborhood, so for night-owls this is perfect. For us with a baby, it was a bit noisy in the late evening/night (during the day the appartment is absolutely quiet!), but the city is obviously working on enforcing noise levels and Guils said that the issue should be resolved very soon. This said, we can highly recommend Guils' place.

  • We had such an AMAZING experience! Giuliana was really welcoming and nice. She was waiting us with delicious cannoli and gave us many tips about the city, restaurants and places to visit. Also, our train left many hours after the checkout and she let us keep our luggage in a cellar and was really helpful. And the apartment is INCREDIBLE, really big, clean and well equipped. The terrace is awesome to have some aperitifs or a nice dinner. We would certainly recommend her place. Thank you very much Giuliana! It's been a pleasure.

  • Absolutely fantastic place to stay. What a lovely, tastefully decorated apartment, and the location is not only beautiful but convenient too; it overlooks the historical street and is a only moments from the cathedral. Mauro's hospitality made the stay even better, by giving us a brief intro into the city's history and recommending sites, restaurants, and day trips we could do. Highly recommended!

  • Mauro’s flat was smack in the centre of town with an incredible gelato festival in front of our place. It is in the old townand so walkable to great restaurants and sights, and easily reachable from the main train station. The flat had a great flair to it

  • It was a amazing trip ! The apartment is spacious, clean, totally furnished and well located. Mauro is a lovely person, he showed us on a map all the things to do in Palermo. He has an answer for all of your questions about Palermo. It was perfect, I totally recommend it !

The apartment, in the heart of Palermo, is a few steps far from the Teatro Massimo and the three traditional markets in the city, (Vucciria, capo, Ballarò). The flat excites the visitor thanks to a terrace that offers a 360 ° view over the city.
A private terrace with deckchair, umbrella, table. Beautiful place for a dinner or a pre-dinner glass of wine with a beautiful view over the historical city center.. the terrace is very private, there are not taller building near..
The apartment is located in the olivella district, area with a lots of bar, restaurants and pubs. A few steps from the Teatro Massimo and near the historical Market of "Capo", Vucciria.
  • Had a great stay in the heart of Palermo. Fabiana's flat was situated just couple steps away from the main shopping street and the great Massimo Theatre. There was also good variety of restaurants in the quiet streets nearby. I highly recommend a restaurant Da Bacco, where we had an a la carte food and service with a really fair prize! The roof terrace bathing in the sun even in December was a big bonus for the flat. We ended up making our own cappucinos and breakfast every morning and enjoying it on the terrace. We stayed at Fabiana's place as a group of four ( two couples ) The other couple had to satisfy with the sofabed, which wasn't that comfy. In the winter time the flat was cold, but heating helped after one night and there was always hot water. Have a lovely stay in Palermo!

  • Exactly as described. Very central and perfectly quiet, very nice, beautiful beautiful view. And Fabiana was very welcoming. We highly recommend

  • We had a wonderful stay at Fabiana's place in Palermo! She was very accommodating and quick to respond. The apartment was very clean and had a lot of good vibes. 100% recommend.

    Michelle2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • At a great location, easy to walk all around Palermo from here. Fabiana was a great host and would love to visit here again.

    Parteek2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place has everything you need to enjoy Palermo. The terrace view is even better than you can imagine. Location is also perfect and close to everything. We wanted local experience, so we cooked pasta at home and went on a terrace to enjoy our dinner - I suggest you to try this - it is worth it. Also we pressed play button on the radio and there was an amazing CD to get the best vacation atmosphere! Just stay at Fabianas place and enjoy all of this by yourself!

    Alise2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fabiana's place was just what we were looking for. It is in a great part of town where everything is happening. Fabiana took wonderful care of us and her place was full of extra, nice touches. It was a very warm and inviting place with great charm and views. Maybe bring some earplugs as it is in a lively part of town. I would recommend staying here.

    Maria2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in this apartment. The location is amazing you are almost in the center of everything and a lot of great restaurants and bars are just around the corner. Fabiana was a super nice and helpful host and the responds time was extremely fast. So you are in good hands and can feel like you have a solid host who has your back whatever comes up. The apartment is in the 3rd floor (less high than I thought and still not too exhausting to reach) and the view from the terrace will blow your mind. We would absolutely recommend this place (during the summer months) and would love to come back!

Everything here deserved to remain unchanged, because the signs of time are sometimes poetic: chipped tiles, doors dotted with old painting, ceiling frescoes hidden by layers of paint, brought back to life.Is this the air you'll breathe at Sandro's h
Built in the early 900 and restructured, maintaining the previous aspect, the flat is furnished with objects rediscovered by the owner himself in Palermo's old handcraft market: these objects give to the location a quaint charm. The property has an area of 130 square meters and consists of three bedrooms (2 double rooms and 1 single), a lounge, a dining room, a bathroom and a kitchen. You can not wait to go home and continue to live the journey relaxing yourself in the outdoor spaces, furnished and decorated with plants and flowers of all kinds, tasting a glass of good Sicilian wine. The apartment has central heating, free Wi-Fi (unlimited), alarm and safe system, 42-inch flat screen TV in the living room, bathroom with chromo therapy shower, double beds with mattresses and pillows Memory comfort. Children are welcome (free under 2 years old). A cot is available on request .
The flat is a few meters (in front) far from the historic fruits and vegetables market of Palermo, called "SCARO" (it is advisable to go there early in the morning when the first pews and the merchandise are set up and the scenario is going to become more fragrant and colorful, distinctive and picturesque), and near the famous Monte Pellegrino. In about an hour you can reach the ancient sanctuary of Santa Rosalia and experience the "acchianata", a walk along the mount up to the church, an experience that every inhabitant of Palermo regularly does, at least once a year, in devotion to the "Santuzza" (the saint patron of the city, who in 1624 saved Palermo from the plague). 10715 minutes far from the harbour of Palermo and about 15720 from the city center (walking), the property is also ideally located for those guests, who want to spend a day at sea, in the beautiful beach of Mondello.
  • Sandro's home is in the heart of Palermo and very nicely decorated. Sandro is the best host you could imagine, my boyfriend and I arrived at different times and Sandro came to pick us up separately at the bus station to drive us home. Throughout the stay Sandro helped us for everything: car rental, places to visit, nice restaurants. He offered us traditional biscuits, and always came with little attentions. If you want to go to Palermo, go to Sandro's home with no hesitation!

    Xuan2015-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is beautiful, such a lovely place to relax. Sandro was welcoming and really helpful and informative. You can park outside and the nearby restaurants are good. It is easy to get into town. sandro left us water and breakfast things which was much appreciated. I can't recommend Sandro's highly enough and oil forward to returning.

    Alison2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sandro's place exceeded expectations. The house is beautifully furnished, spread across multiple rooms. There is obvious attention to detail and style. Sandro was incredibly accommodating, and invested a lot of effort in ensuring that our time in Palermo was special, providing us with many recommendations. He was always happy to be of assistance, and communicated with us really well throughout.

    Daniel2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Sandro's place was fantastic. Palermo was hot and the apartment was cool oasis we enjoyed retreating to after some sight seeing. Sandro helped us with our bags and showed us the home he has lovingly renovated. It is surprisingly spacious and beautifully decorated, just as the photos show. Everything was new and functioned well. We were sad to only stay for one day and would return again in a heartbeat.

    Tania2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fantastic! The apartment is very comfortable, well located, extremely clean and well decorated. We were welcomed with supplies such as coffee, water, biscuits and other typical things from Sicily. Sandro is an exceptional host, explained everything we should know about Palermo, with very useful maps and written information. He has very good contacts with restaurants, managed to make a reservation in our behalf for example. I have traveled several times, almost all of the time in hostels, B&B's and Airbnb's, I can tell that this was by far one of the most pleasant experiences I had, and the best value for money. You don't need to think twice, you won't regret it.

    Marco2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sandro's house was fantastic! we had a great time. it was very spacious, even for 5 people. Little things like having coffee, tea and pastries already available in his home was great as we arrived very late and didn't have to rush off to buy things to have breakfast. Sandro's made us feel very welcomed, he took time to recommend us places to visit, places to eat or drink and even brought us local pastries in the morning of our arrival and departure. What a great host! I would definitively recommend Sandro's house to stay in when staying in Palermo.

    Michaelle2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Sandro's house - he is very helpful, attentive and will go the extra mile to make your stay in Palermo the best possible. The flat is exquisitely decorated and very clean - there are also two lovely outside spaces for you to enjoy some al fresco breakfast. The location is good, there are some shops and restaurants nearby - we had a car to get to Palermo city centre (less than 5 minutes away) and it was very easy to park right in front of the flat. I would recommend to anyone visiting the city to stay here, Sandro will give you all the tips and advice only a true local can give you!

    Carlo2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was so AMAZING that we wouldn't even know where to start from! Sandro indeed is a SUPERHOST and his girlfriend Ivana a true sweetheart! Sandro asked us beforehand what we were interested in visiting/doing while in Palermo, and upon our arrival already had prepared a map with must-see places and the best restaurants, that turned out to be absolutely delicious, as well as his favorite ice cream spot. And also as a present a voucher for 5 sightseeing visits (who else does that?!) that were only open that weekend, something that we obviously wouldn't know about if it wasn't for him! The apartment is very spacious, so nicely decorated, with attention to every little detail, many antique pieces, and great lightning that makes you just want to stay there for ever! The bathroom is equipped with all the amenities. In the kitchen you will find bottled water in the fridge, coffee, toasts, jam... If there's anything you need Sandro has already thought about it! We stayed in touch throughout all the trip, he was incredibly helpful, and even gave us some excellent suggestions for the rest of our travel through Sicily. Overall we just felt like we were visiting some good old friends and we already miss staying at Sandro's again! Ana and Lloyd

Very central flat….right in the heart of the historical centre of Palermo, just a short walk away from the most important monuments and places that offers this city.
  • Brigitte's apartment was super! It located in very center in Palermo old city, but it was very quiet. It looked new building, spotless clean, simple and nicely decorated, comfortable bed, beautiful kitchen.... we really liked that place. There was everything we needed. And Brigittes was very kind and helpful.Thank you so much!

  • Wonderful location, charming modern apartment amidst the historic Kalsa district which is far from modern ;) Fantastic communication before and after booking. Helpful advise on how to find nearby free parking. The apartment has everything you need if you decide to by food at the markets and eat in, or go out and enjoy many of the nearby restaurants with great food and outstanding value (compared to US restaurant prices). If you are spending multiple days in Palermo, highly recommend the StrEats Palermo tour. Great way to get more comfortable with the markets, learn about the city, and get some excellent street food. Bottom line, highly recommend both the host and the apartment.

  • Brigitte is a fantastic host. The communication is always accurate and prompt. She is also very helpful in person. We arrived quite late at night and the young taxi driver didn't really know his way around this part of the city (there was an Italian football game on so most of the usual drivers were probably watching the game). Brigitte came to meet us in person and took us to the apartment. Throughout the whole process she has been fantastic. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. It is big, clean, comfortable and very stylishly decorated. It is in a superb location and makes everything accessible. We loved Palermo and will definitely be going back. When we do we will hopefully stay at this apartment. We can't speak highly enough of our experience here. John and Gael

  • This is the place to stay in Palermo. Very safe, in a nice area (which doesn’t feel touristy) and is close to everything including the train station. Brigitte’s friend was there to help us check in and gave us some good tips to enjoy the area. Brigitte was very nice and was always on hand to help. We had a great stay and thank you very much.

  • Brigitte's stylish apartment in Palermo is in a superb location on a beautiful garden and we could not have been happier with our stay. She was welcoming from the very first moment and we appreciated that she let us have a very late check out time on our final day (at 5pm) to accommodate our schedule. The apartment is beautiful and even comes with swim towels for excursions to nearby Mondello. The suggestions for local restaurants were spot on. I would not hesitate to stay again! Grazie Brigitte!!!

  • Brigitte was very welcoming and friendly. This was our first Airbnb experience and Brigitte's lovely apartment has set a very high benchmark. It is spacious, well equipped, with modern, very attractive decor and its location is excellent - walking distance to central station and many other places of interest. The small balcony is a great feature with a pleasant outlook. There is also a bakery, fruit stall and deli and many restaurants and cafes nearby. Highly recommended (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • I stayed with my father at Brigitte's place for a few nights and we could not have asked for a nicer accommodation! The apartment is beautiful and it's in a great part of the city's historic center, the pictures almost can't do it justice. Brigitte is very kind and super helpful, and her English is good. We spent most of our time traveling to other parts of Sicily, but Palermo is a fantastic vacation destination in its own right. I would highly recommend Brigitte's listing for anyone's stay in Palermo!

    Nick2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Brigitte's place is beautiful - the balcony is a really lovely feature, perfect for breakfast or drinks at sunset. Location is perfect, very close to train station, buses to Monreale and airport etc, Ballaro market, cathedral, main sights, seaside, all within very easy walking distance. Brigitte was great with communication - thank you for having us Brigitte!
