The place was absolutely great. It was clean, quite and with a nice kitchenette. The location is 10 minutes from Stanford. Helen was responsive, and overall it was a great experience! I’ll definitely stay here next time! P.S. The room has a nice bookshelf too! I read Solaris there (not sufficiently better than the movie)

A very convenient and charming place to stay in Palo Alto. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. Perfect location - easy access from the highway and pretty much down the street from Stanford. Helen was the perfect host and responded to my questions promptly. Check- in and check-out were very easy. I wish we’d stayed long enough to enjoy the charming patio. Next time!

This space was so cute and I loved how many different products there were in the bathroom! We did have some trouble figuring out how to turn the heat but we eventually figured it out--though I'm sure we would have gotten it earlier if we had remembered to ask! Helen was a great host! Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Helen’s place was cozy and lovely. Lots of windows and light, and a nice little patio and garden to look out on. It was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed, a perfect spot for my quick visit down to Mountain View.

A cute, tiny room perfect for solo travelers. A two minute walk to the closest convenience store and a taco truck. I would stay here again, and would recommend to others.

The room was quite compact, but very clean and well designed. The bed was long enough for a 6 foot person to sleep comfortably. Nice touches included a hot water kettle, a spoon and mug, and the use of a small refrigerator (although no freezer). The area around the cottage is quiet, pleasant, and well maintained.

Wan Wen's mini studio is a lovely, quiet space. It was comfortable & clean. The microwave, hot water pot & mini fridge enabled me to eat-in. Within walking distance you can find coffee, restaurants & groceries. A great space in a great location. I will definitely stay there again.

I was stuck without a room for two nights the last week of my contract and needed a crash pad ASAP. I found Kathy's place and messaged her through the app about the availability and she was very accommodating and welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. I even passed out after work without turning off the bedside lamp!

Communication was great, the space was clean and bigger than I anticipated, the onsite carport was an added bonus as I had not originally planned on renting a vehicle. The extra amenities for his guests such as snacks and beverages was a nice touch. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Price seems consistent with neighborhood....hosts reliability and communication was excellent, neighbors and location were quiet, quiet back porch is a nice amenity and on-site easy parking for a small-mid size car works well. There is easy biking access to downtown and Stanford from Craig's accommodations. Craig's accommodation was comfortable, efficient and worked very well as a home base while touring in the Palo Alto/ Stanford area.

We've stayed at Jessica and Clark's place twice in the last 6 months. It's super convenient to the east end of the Standford campus and easily walkable to a variety of restaurants. The room at Jessica and Clark's place is a cosy space with thoughtful touches (e.g. extra toothbrushes, plenty of coffee pods, spare utensils for eat-at-home salads etc, and comfy pillows). The location is very convenient for the Stanford campus (a Marguerite shuttle stop is only a few minutes walk). It is also quiet at night - very little traffic noise etc - perfect for a light sleeper. I hope to stay here again!

I stayed for 5 days and can absolutely recommend Jessica and Clarks place! Very clean and lots of amenities like a coffee-machine, water, tea, bath accessories, etc. Very good parking situation and lots of restaurants are in walking distance. Would absolutely come back again if I'm in that area again!

It was my third (or fourth?) time staying here and it's been a pleasure each time. It was going to rain one of the days during my visit, so they also let me borrow an umbrella. Will continue staying here each time I come back to the university!

There are several adjacent spaces. I stayed in one bedroom with a bath, but the whole place is very suitable for a family gathering or a larger group if you wanted to rent the additional spaces. It was quiet, and the neighborhood is lovely.

Had a really nice fortnight’s stay here. It’s a pleasant, cozy room accessed from an external staircase on the property. Everything exactly as described, clean and comfy. Small but well appointed bathroom. Jessica and Clark have gone to lots of trouble to make it feel welcoming. I appreciated the coffee machine, and the small touches that made sure most of what you wanted was there. Was delighted that cleaners popped in to change sheets and towels half way through my stay. About 10-15 mins walk from coffee shops, restaurants etc, and close to Stanford campus. It was a perfect spot for a visit to the University, and I felt very welcomed. J&C were really responsive with any queries etc. Really great hosts.

Christines Eichler cottage was my home away from home for a month. It was the perfect place to call head-quarters while settling in to my new job and looking for a permanent living space. It is centrally located, stylish and very quiet. Two thumbs up!

This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Palo Alto. The bed is comfortable ; the kitchen, while tiny, has everything you could need; and the location is great- quiet yet convenient! It was nice to be able to walk to the coffee shop, the great local bagel shop and the grocery store just around the corner. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting PA.

A sweet tiny house located close to everything in Palo Alto and Mountain View.

I love this tiny home! It is super clean and stylish. The layout is amazing with tons of storage for such a small place. Everything is perfect. The location is excellent with easy access to the freeway yet in a quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood shopping center is within walking distance. Our stay at Carol’s place was wonderful! She was timely in her responses, very welcoming, and made us feel at home. I loved the eclectic style of the house, filled with many books, art pieces, and colors! The bed was comfortable and the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom had everything we needed. This is a basic, but comfortable granny flat, around the back of the main house, very close to the centre of Palo Alto. It suited my needs exactly.

Fantastic location — quick walk to restaurants and shops (loved the cute cafe on the corner). Checkin was easy, and Jacob was super quick to respond to questions. I really appreciated the water cooler as well!

We had a wonderful time staying at Jacob's place. It is just as described, a comfortable and clean room in a great location with all the basics. Jacob made the whole experience extremely convenient and easy-- from proactively sending us check-in information to honestly the easiest check-out procedure I have seen from an airbnb. We would definitely stay here again. This is in the description, but just a brief reminder for other potential guests there is no microwave/cooking so plan to eat at the multitude of nearby restaurants in walking distance. The shower is wonderful and gets very hot, the bed is on the firm side and very comfortable.

Just like the pics. Just far enough from University Ave to be quiet, but close enough for a short walk. Easy street parking. You could also walk from here to the tree Palo Alto was named if you wanted a little unusual history...

Will and his wife Alex were lovely to stay with. The space was bright and airy and also cozy! Parking was plentiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable!

Will and Alexia have a beautiful home in a great residential area of Palo Alto. The guest room is perfectly situated and was a quiet place to return to after a busy day. The house itself is spacious and Alexia shared their great assortment of coffee and tea. Will and Alexia's dog and cat were very sweet and didn't pose any problems at all. Overall, a great place to stay for a few nights!

This is without a doubt my best experience on Airbnb - and I’ve had a lot of fantastic ones. Everything was on point as one could expect, and at the same time you felt like you were at home - not a one-room hotel as in some other places. Will and Alex were the best hosts one could wish for, the room was fantastic and they had really made an effort to make my stay enjoyable. Christopher's place in East Palo Alto is perfect for staying close to Stanford University and also visiting the Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Nice house with fully-equipped kitchen and garden in a residential neighborhood with grocery stores and public transport nearby, it also hosts friendly and respectful mates. Absolutely recommended for both short- and long-term stay.

Great location, and a beautiful house. Christopher is very helpful and responsive. My wife and I have enjoyed complete privacy and comfort for our entire stay. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants quick access to downtown Palo Alto and surrounding areas. Moving here has cut about an hour out of my work commute and I couldn't be happier. Simple, clean, good location, reasonable price. Be careful of uneven pavers in driveway. I stepped into one when checking out with a heavy backpack on and have been laid up 4 days now. It’s easy to not see the holes because you don’t expect to have such an uneven surface. Otherwise nice place to stay.

Great location, beatiful house, clean accomodation

This accommodation was located in a quiet pleasant neighborhood. Easy walking distance to a Starbucks to start off your morning. Clean and had a great shower! Small unit but very nice, private outdoor area which allows you to expand outside for more room. I sat outside with my computer on several occasions to work in pleasant February weather. Liling was an excellent hostess who was communicative and delivered many small, thoughtful touches. She left us chocolates for Valentines Day which were much appreciated!

Liling has a very clean and cozy ensuite. It was private and very comfortable.

Liling made our entire trip easy. The residence was exactly as described in the listing, and very comfortable with ample amenities. We even left an article of clothing, and she was able to make arrangements for us to pick it up the following day. Overall, a great experience!

The place is exactly as described, clean and cosy, but located in East Palo Alto, which is not very safe. Place itself is good, but not in a nice neighborhood. You will need a car to commute. Nice shower and other amenities except for electric stove. It is ok if you do not cook. Recommended for solo/couple travellers.

The studio seems brand new, perfectly equipped and it was in the right location for me. Very quite place with easy parking. Ju has provided also plenty of coffee capsules, water, fruit, snack, everything I needed was there. Everything was spic and span and the bed confortable. Just be aware that the room is a bit small, but it is so well equipped that it really wasn't a problem.

A small, but quite adequate living space for a single person, especially if visiting for business. There’s not a lot of space, but it was well together with a good sized tv and comfortable bed.

The place was small and cosy enough for one person or a couple. Felt more like a home cause everything i needed was supplied. Mini kitchenette was great, included cutlery and numerous snacks, place was super clean. It sits at the back yard of the house but i felt complete privacy and respect from the hosts. Nice home with a great living room, laundry room, a big kitchen, fridge space, you will share the house with other guests as there are 4 rooms, you will also find a market and restaurants 10 minutes walking.

The place is beautiful and located in safe and residential area. Zhen responds to a message or call promptly, and all the guests in the house were discent.

Place was good, got everything you need. It has 2 lamps inside the bedroom (not too much light though, good for a chill night). Bathroom has everything you need and they provide earplugs (never needed it though). Good location and plenty of street parking. I couldn't open the windows blinds though, not sure why. But I was never home in the morning anyway so wasn't a big deal.

Hanna’s place was great. We were there for two nights and had everything we needed. It was a little cold the first night, but the space heater helped. The second night it was great. The bed was so comfortable and a dream.

This little garage studio was the perfect private place for a solo traveler. The bed was huge and so comfy! It was slightly bigger than I was expecting. There was a Nespresso machine and my morning Nepresso was so yummy. The owners left some coffee, tea, water and chocolate which was a super nice touch. There's a mini fridge and microwave but not ideal for food prep or long term. Easy check in and out and the hosts were easy to communicate with. They checked on me through the app. Close and convenient to everything. Orange tree right outside. The only downside for me was that there is no central heat and it was quite cold during my stay. The owners provide a small space heater, which does a fine job of heating the space, it just takes a little while to get things warmed up. The covers are plenty warm and I found an electric throw that was warm and cozy. So the no heat thing was manageable. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again without hesitation.

Hanna's place is great for any type of visit to Palo Alto. Conveniently right off the highway made it easy to travel up and down the Bay Area. Check-in instructions were very clear and bed was super comfy!

It’s a small place but it’s perfect for 1-3 people. Internet was fast, and the location was tucked in a nice area. Though the highway is close, it’s still fairly quiet. Didn’t try the hot tub but did appreciate the option.

Clara’s place is in a great location of Mountain View. Extremely easy to park and check in.

This apartment is beautiful, props to the decorator! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book with Clara again. Communication was swift and efficient and paired with their precise instructions the stay was made easy. I left feeling refreshed and ready for the week ahead of me, I highly suggest booking if you're looking for a weekend away for some rest and reprieve.

We had a great time at Clara's. We used and enjoyed the amenities in the complex: gym, outdoor grills, and the hot swimming pool in winter was the best!

Great place to stay for a work visit (which I used it for). The only complaint I have is the comfort of the mattress. I generally choose Airbnb over hotels for this reason, but this apartment's mattress felt like a hotel spring mattress unfortunately.

What a wonderful place to stay! Great location, had no trouble finding parking on the street. Estell was so nice and friendly. So helpful and gave great instructions. Chris is a really good host! His place is absolutely the best Airbnb I have tried in Palo Alto.

Even though it was just a short stay, Christopher has provided us a pleasant place to stay while we were in San Jose.

We had a pleasant stay at Christopher's place. He and the other people living there were all nice and communicative. He answers quickly to all questions. However, it's not placed in a particular nice area.

Chris's house was quite big. There is ample public space if you want a quiet corner. My room was also large and convenient. The most interesting aspect of the stay is the people you get to meet. Grads at Stanford, people working for the big five, researchers from Stanford medical school etc.

I had 5 great weeks at Chris' place. It is a great place, where you can meet great people. We had some nice dinners together The room was plenty big - shared facilities were always clean and tidy. Chris was very helpful and good at keeping the house in tiptop shape. The neighborhood may have a reputation, but I didn't experience any negative things about living there. It is easy to get to Palo Alto and shopping options are also fairly nearby. If you have a car, there is always parking around by the house. The only slight disappointment was that the jacuzzi was broken for my entire stay. It is of course nothing critical, but it would nevertheless have been great to have.

Chris' place is super nice, the other guests were fun people and the room itself is spacious and clean! There is a large backyard, a hot tub and the house has all the amenities you'll need. East Palo Alto is not the nicest neighborhood, but I also never felt unsafe. Would definitely stay there again!

Mariana is a very sweet, attentive and helpful host. She even prepared a little surprise for us knowing it’s our anniversary trip. The place is sparkling clean and is conveniently located. It’s a very enjoyable stay.

Staying at the Sugarcube was like staying at a cool friend's place. It was private and comfortable, and stylishly decorated with a lot of thoughtful touches and surprises to discover. I travel to Palo Alto for work several times a year and am happy to add the Sugarcube to my list of regular places to stay. It's perfectly located for where I need to get to on campus, and super convenient to CalTrain and University Ave.

Easy walk to University St., and an even easier check-in. A wonderful stay, with a very thoughtful host. Thank you for such a nice experience.

One of the most tastefully furnished small AirBnBs that I've been to. Check-in was easy, Mariana always responded swiftly, and with free resident street-parking and access to a swell bike I felt more mobile than can be expected from the Bay Area. Recommended!

The apartment is lovely - on the second floor, so 2 flights of steps. Hardwood floors give it a very warm feeling and the lighting is very bright. Kitchen is a full kitchen, so cooking was very easy. I love the bathroom - the tiles were of a Art Nuevo pattern.
