“After dark, Nairobi, in a flash, transforms itself into an energetic entertainment center point and busy modern day executives change their formal garments to delight in the bustling of the nightlife. In any case, who doesn’t cherish a night of romping and drinking after a long dragging week? Clubs are the perfect spot for this and you will never run shy of them in this city that scarcely rests. It’s about the night clubs in Westlands, Nairobi - Kenya, with good music, culinary magic and awesome ambience. Need to hit the dancefloor? Put on your brave face and make a beeline for any of these sizzling gathering spots for the best beverages, women's evenings and music.”

“African Yoga Project: donation-based community yoga classes Sat 10 - 12pm + Lunch (beans, chapati, rice). Bring a towel and a water bottle! They have yoga mats but some people bring their own too. They also do fee-based classes, with schedules changing. ”

Farmers Market
“A surprising little oasis of natural forest in the middle of the city. There are hundreds of trees and birds, and tame Sykes’ monkeys that will even come and sit on your shoulder. The park is run by a conservation organisation called Nature Kenya, which offers guided tours and bird walks that I like to join. Next door to the park is Kenya’s biggest vegetable market, filled with produce from every corner of the country. There’s a lot of exotic fruit and veg here to cater to different local communities—Chinese vegetables, for example. It’s worth popping in for a wander around to soak up the atmosphere.”

Food
“Nairobi has a huge Indian community, and one of the best places to find incredible Indian cuisine is the food court at the Diamond Plaza mall. It’s a covered area in the buzzing central courtyard, filled with different kitchens and long communal tables for eating. The food is delicious and affordable. I get the bajias with chutney for just KES 150. Diamond Plaza is also filled with shops where you can buy Indian spices, sweets, and fabrics, so take time to explore while you’re here.”
