  • Great break away the pod was great as was the hospitality. Thanks a David. Will return

    Christopher2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • David and his partner were lovely hosts. The pod was clean, comfortable and warm enough at night. It was far enough away from the hosts house, not to disturb each other, but close enough to nip to the toilet. The BBQ and fire pit were brilliant for the evenings. Location is ideal and a stone throw away from loads of beautiful beaches. We hope to visit again shortly.

    Scott2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Glamping really great. David also allowed us to upgrade by moving to a private ensuite, shower and heating chalet and even offered us dinner cooking it himself, as if a guardian angel had arrived quite tired after a long walk on the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Hospitality, friendliness, cleanliness totally immersed in nature. Perfect!!

    Ilario2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, cheap place to take a rest after a long day.

    Tamás2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this quiet corner of pembrokeshire so much a few weeks ago we stopped of again.

    Simon2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Dave sent us a text a few days before and again on the day to see if we knew when we would arrive, we got there a little earlier than expected so though Dave wasn't there he had left the key so we were able to get settled in straight away. They are very friendly hosts, we managed to barbeque every night despite a bit of rain but they made us feel welcome and offered the use of their kitchen too if we needed it. It is a good alternative to camping, the ecopod itself kept warm, but there is a heater there too if needed, we didn't and we enjoyed our stay.

    Adam2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended for those who want to see the beautiful Welsh countryside and some spectacular sites. The location is removed from hustle and bustle but is close to two beaches, the green bridge of Wales and stack rocks. The camping pod itself is simple but has some amenities (grill/firepit/mini fridge/kettle/mattresses) that makes the experience more comfortable than camping. Great value. Our dogs also loved the green space! David was a great host as well. He gave us recommendations for activities but was not intrusive. Thanks David!

Our apartment is situated overlooking Pembroke Castle & is a short walk from the Mill Pond & all of the Shops, Bars & Cafe's. Pembroke is close to lots of award winning beaches, Blue Lagoon Water Park, Oakwood Theme Park & Temby with St Davids (the smallest city in the UK) a little further up the coast. The apartment is bright a spacious with a large fitted double bedroom with and en-suite Bathroom. It would suit couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and small families.
Our apartment comprises of a good size double bedroom which has a double bed, 2 bed side tables, a chest of drawers, fitted double wardrobes and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over. Off of the corridor there is also another washroom with WC and a further storage cupboard which houses the water tank. The main living area is open plan with a well stocked kitchen, glass dining table with 4 seats, the lounge area has a large comfortable sofa with views through to the Castle, two further chairs that pull out to become full size single beds. Through the double patio doors there is a large decked area where you will find a rattan table and chairs.
The town of Pembroke is steeped in history, dating back to the 11th century when Arnulf of Mongomery raised an earth and timber fortification on the banks of the Pembroke River. Although something of an outpost, it was considered to be of sufficient strategic value to justify progressive strengthening over the next 150 years, the first stone structure on the site dating from the middle of the 13th Century. William de Valence, one time Mayor of Pembroke, is thought to have been responsible for girdling the town with walls at some time during this period. It was while a guest of her brother-in-law, Jasper, at Pembroke Castle in 1457 that Margaret Beaufort, widow of Edmund Tudor, Earl of Richmond, gave birth to Henry Tudor. He was to be the founder of a dynasty that was to have a profound effect on the course of history far beyond the confines of Wales.Prosperity developed in the Middle Ages with the establishment of the woollen trade, originating from the activities of Flemish immigrants, but by the 16th Century it had declined. Pembroke came into prominence during the Civil War when, in 1648, John Poyer, Mayor of the town declared for the King in spite of strong local support for the Parliament. Together with a group of sympathisers, Poyer occupied the Castle — by this time a formidable stronghold, and eventually surrendered after prolonged bargaining, but not before Cromwell’s men had laid siege to the town with artillery and inflicted much damage. Arguably, the main contribution of the Industrial Revolution was the railway, which had already done much to open up communication in rural areas of Britain and which reached Pembroke as a standard gauge line from Tenby in 1863. Connection with one of the arteries of Brunel’s broad gauge Great Western Railway at Whitland was made a few years later.
  • Our stay with Matthew was so wonderful! Such a beautiful area to be established! Thankyou!

    Erin2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent apartment with fantastic views of the castle. Mathew made the stay very easy with great instructions.

    Daniel2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival we noticed several items dotted around the flat to make us feel welcome. When we arrived on Boxing Day, a bauble wreath was placed on the door and a decorated Christmas tree with lights and mince pies were left for us. This was the perfect touch that made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The flat itself was immaculate and very modern. From a flat owner myself I was envious of the perfect the location, private parking, views of the castle and how stunning the interior was. We only went to Pembroke for a festive break but instead we fell in love with the flat and can't wait to return in the summer. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

    Lloyd2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • These guys made us feel very welcome into there home, I explained to Matthew that I was having my Christmas up there and he left me his Christmas tree to use. Which I would like to say a massive thank you. The house is very well presented, immaculately clean and very modern. It has everything you need and more. Would highly recommend these guys for your travel. Very understand and accommodating.

  • This apartment was beautiful, quiet, airy and spacious with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Right near the centre of town and walking distance to shops and places to eat. The view from the windows of the castle is lovely. Would love to stay here again if I'm in this part of the world in the future.

    Kate2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment to stay in, great location with several attractions either on your doorstep or a short drive away, and a brilliant view of the castle from the decking areas. Brilliant hosts who are quick to help when needed (we managed to let the self locking door shut behind us without taking the keys, was quickly resolved). Would recommend to anyone.

    Simon2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Well presented and clean, nicely furnished flat, kitchen well equiped. The 2 single chair/beds in the lounge were roomy and comfortable for adults. Good selection of books and games if needed. Good location for Pembroke town and castle - no need for the car. But a nice and peaceful flat. Love Pembrokeshire! Thank you Matt for a welcoming, comfortable stay.

  • We highly recommend staying at Floss's roomy apartment. It was very large and comfortable with many modern touches and excellent cozy decor. Floss was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to our questions. The gardens and patio in the backyard were beautiful and the kitchen is huge! Lots of room. Perfect for families or multiple couples. It's close to the town which has some delicious pubs to eat at. She even left us a plate of homemade welsh cakes which we loved. Thanks Floss!

Great location right in the heart of Pembroke, Luke gave us some great recommendations for places to visit, and the cottage was stocked with books, brochures and information. The cottage itself is cozy, comfortable, full of lovely decorations and personal touches, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The shower was ace, and we loved snuggling up in the evening for a movie after a day out exploring. A perfect place for a relaxing visit to Pembrokeshire, and we felt really looked after.

Live your dream, wake up beside the idyllic Medieval Pembroke Mill Pond where you can enjoy wild water life from the comfort of the conservatory. All photos of wild life above were taken from the garden. Swans, herons, coots, cormorants, moorhens etc. can be seen all year round. Three otters have been seen playing in summer of 2017. This is a unique mid terrace house due to its water edge location. Quiet and peaceful within walking distance of Pembroke Town and Castle. No fairies seen as yet!
Please would you: 1) respect the neighbours with regards to noise and politeness. 2) look after our house and leave it clean and tidy. 3) not smoke or use E-cigarettes anywhere on the premises. Unfortunately, no animals allowed as we often have a swan nesting during spring at the foot of the garden. Just enjoy the cosiness of the house, its outlook and enjoy the surrounding walks.
Although where the house stands is very quiet, within an easy walking distance over a footbridge we have several convenience stores for newspapers and food shopping, a very well known local shop called "Wisebuys" for fruit and vegetables and more than one antique emporium in town. The Co-op supermarket has just moved to the end of town. Most visitors visit the cosy local pubs and the Pembroke Castle visitor centre- the castle is where Henry VII was born. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is very popular among walkers and seals and dolphins have often been spotted. St Davids can be very interesting for a day out. The Visitor Centre and Cathedral are well worth a visit. Art galleries, outdoor adventure activities, surf school, sea kayaking and many gardens and castles are very close to this location. We ourselves often enjoy visiting "Wavecrest Cafe" at West Angle Bay and the" Coast" restaurant at Coppet Hall near Saundersfoot.
  • Susan was a great host and provided the perfect home for me and my family. The welcome package, bacon, eggs, milk etc were very much appreciated. She provided us with a full size cot and high chair for our little one, which was above and beyond what we could have expected. Thank you for letting us stay, we will look to book again when we are next in the area.

  • Another great stay, thank you Sue and Charley, you’ve been so welcoming and accommodating.

    Lisa2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely place to stay in Pembrook. sitting in the conservatory watching the swans and coots is very interesting and relaxing The house itself is beautifully decorated and well equipped. Sue is a great owner who made every effort to make our stay comfortable. She even provided a welcome pack of food that was very much appreciated.

    Michael2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location and thoughtful host. We were able to view at first hand all the wildlife on the pond. Walking distance to pubs and shops and short drive to amazing beaches and walks. Sue couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Will certainly will stay here again next time we are in Pembroke.

    Jo2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Susan and Charley’s. We extended our stay multiple times and we were made to feel comfortable and welcome the entire time. This is a great location for enjoying Pembroke and beyond, we can highly recommend staying here, Sue and Charley are very kind hosts.

    Lisa2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • We've had a delightful time at Susan's place. Lovely location on the Mill Pond, it's been nice to watch all the bird life. A great quiet location, short pleasant walk to the Main Street of Pembroke. Susan has provided all the things we need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay, not to mention being so accomodating for our baby! Thank you!

    Cam2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This little house has a stunning location and is a proper home-from- home just outside the town walls and in a wonderfully peaceful location. Plenty of room and a full, properly equipped kitchen with plenty of room to store your own groceries ( I so often find I'm unable to unpack the shopping in holiday lets). The interior is very comfortable and the big conservatory is a super spot to watch wildlife on the millpond ( which sits below the castle) whatever the weather. The garden leads directly to the water so the host is very wise to say this is not the place for very little children. However, everyone else will have a wonderful time here. Holiday let accommodation is really hard to get in Pembroke Town but this a fantastic base. It's a proper working town set in mediaeval walls with plenty of facilities but not the incessant movement of holiday makers you get in Tenby or Saundersfoot. It's also the closest to all the famous beaches like Freshwater West, Barafundle and Boadhaven and all the National Trust coastal sites. Highly recommended.

The apartment has two double bedrooms and sleeps a total of six. It has a lovely secure terrace and is very comfortable and relaxing, with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday or break in beautiful Pembrokeshire right on your doorstep.
The apartment is within a ten-minute drive of some of the most stunning beaches and coastal scenery in the country, such as Barafundle Bay, Bosherston Lily Ponds, St Govans Head, Stack Rocks and Freshwater East and within twenty minutes of the beautiful harbour town of Tenby, the villages and castles of Stackpole (FABULOUS pub!) Manorbier, St Florence and Carew, and the charming town of Narbeth. In the north of the stunning county of Pembrokeshire, about half an hour's drive, the county town of Haverfordwest, historic cathedral city of St Davids, harbour villages like Fishguard and Porthgain, with amazing restaurants and art galleries. Not forgetting the beaches at Dale, Newgale and Broad Haven, and the lovely Marina in Neyland. Walking, sailing, birdwatching, and of course plenty beautiful safe beaches all along the 170-mile National Park coastpath. It's a wonderful place for a family holiday, and there's plenty entertainment for the younger members of the family at Oakwood, Folly Farm, Heatherton and Manor House Wildlife Park.
  • Jane showed us around and was very nice and easy going. The flat was perfect for what we needed - a base to explore from - which was clean and tidy. Heating was excellent in the cold winter! Parking was super convenient and incredibly cheap. The flat was very close to lots of beautiful beaches and quaint little towns. Particular highlight was Pembroke Castle with the tour. Thank you for our stay!

    Katherine 2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's cousin, Jane, was easy to contact and met us at the property. The flat was warm, cosy and well-stocked (we were easily able to cook an Easter roast!) We had initially been a little worried about the potential for noise in this city centre flat, but were pleased to find it quiet and calm.

    Rachel2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely helpful host. Not very peaceful because in centre of the town but great central location. We enjoyed our stay.

    Rhian2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's apartment is spacious, cosy, warm and well equipped. We had 4 adults in our group and we all had lots of room - there is 4 seater dining table which allowed us to have a few lovely family breakfasts. The kitchen is fab - very clean with milk and tea bags kindly supplied. Jane who met us to hand over the keys was a super star, very helpful and text back very quickly whenever I had a question both before and during our stay. The only downer for me was the apartments entrance which seemed in disrepair with rubbish bags blocking the walk way and wires hanging down beside the door - this of course cant be helped but a little tidy up would help as its a little off putting when you arrive. Once inside though the apartment is wonderful and a great base for visiting the pembroke coastline!

    Laura2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great base to explore the surrounding countryside

  • Really nice flat with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. If we were to make any suggestions, it would be to add a hairdryer. Next time we would personally choose somewhere a bit closer to Tenby, as it has a bit more to offer in terms of nice beaches and walking trails. However, it was an easy 20 minute drive to get to Tenby and the start of some great hiking paths. Jane was very helpful in checking us in, and there were plenty of suggestions made for places to go for food etc. The flat was clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Pembroke!

    Adam2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is a little jewel of tranquility in Pembroke. Although it has all the convenience of sitting on the main street with shops and pubs in walking distance, once inside you really can literally 'hide away' from it all! I visited over Christmas with my black lab, who was very happy to be staying so near to many scenic beaches for great walks and swims! The flat is just as pictured on the site: the bathroom is large with a fantastic bath and the best power shower(both over the bath and a hand held adapter too)! Great for relaxing with the many candles to be found about the house. The living room has a really comfortable sofa, and is a cosy place to relax and unwind after a day walking on the beach. Again, plenty of candles to be found to add to the relaxing ambience. The large flat screen TV with Sky package was a bonus! There is also a great sounding CD/stereo system too. This house really has everything you could want! The kitchen was better equipped than my own!!!!. ..... Milk in the fridge and plenty of pots and pans. The two very good sized bedrooms were nicely furnished and my bed very comfortable. A huge bonus for someone who is always a little cold.... This house warms up quickly and holds the heat really well. I really can't say enough about what a great find this was. The host Anne wrote back immediately to confirm the flat was available and her cousin Jane was on hand to welcome me, and living near by, even came over on Christmas Eve to rescue me when I had pressed the wrong button and couldn't access the TV channels! Would most definitely stay here again. Great value for money, good location with so much of the Pembrokeshire Coast to explore, right on your doorstep! If you get a chance- you should definitely visit Barafundle Bay! Accessed by a clifftop walk, and the tiny little village/Hamlet and beach at Little Haven- bigger beach when tide is out... And also Saundersfoot and Tenby are within easy driving distance! Thanks Anne and Jane for such a great 'home from home'.

The living room is spacious and light with wonderful views through the French doors to the hills. The kitchen has everything you need. There are ample sockets everywhere and the washing machine came in handy to wash our cycling clothes. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Pembroke. It is clean, spacious, comfortable and the host is very welcoming.

  • William was fantastic and really hospitable. The apartment had everything you could need and has been finished to a lovely standard. Really lovely place.

    Miss2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment, a tastefully modern and sensitive conversion of an old building, was exactly as the owner, Will, had described it - spotlessly clean, warm, well equipped and comfortable. Being on Main Street in Pembroke it was perfectly located for us with everything we needed close to hand. Will responded swiftly and clearly to all our communications and was there as soon as we arrived with a warm welcome.

    Eric2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, spacious, well equipped place to stay. Location right by Pembroke high street. William was great with communication and quick to respond. Definitely recommend!

  • Fabulous apartment with all you could want. Lovely view from the french doors. Dog friendly pubs with good food within a short walk. Perfectly located to get out and explore Pembrokeshire. Will was on hand for anything we needed, very friendly and helpful.

  • This is an immaculate and comfortable apartment, nicely situated and with private parking. Our short visit was arranged at the last minute but communication was clear and arrangements made easily. We thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment.

Poppy Cottage is situated in a secluded, quiet street in the medieval town of Pembroke. Originally 18th century, sympathetic upgrading means it is spacious yet cosy, wood burning fire in the lounge. The private garden is beautifully landscaped and there is a garage at the rear of the property with limited parking also available in the street. Poppy cottage boasts circular waterside walks nearby with cafes and bars all within a 5 minute stroll.
Poppy cottage is exclusively a holiday let. The price is for 2 people with additional £25 per night per person. Bed linen is included. Cotton towels can be provided for cost of service wash only.
The cottage is close to historic Pembroke Castle, the Millpond with delightful walks, a handful of reasonable priced cafes. There are numerous beautiful beaches all within driving distance or a short bus ride away.
  • Great place - as advertised.

    Todd2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very beautiful, Sue and Phil are very lovely. If ever we have the chance to come back to Pembroke, we will stay in this place!

    Michael2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely and very spacious. Big bedrooms and three bathrooms making it a great place to stay with several people. Having the garage to park a car is a great extra too. Sue is a lovely host and was really helpful in the lead up to our stay and went out of her way to make everything work for us.

    Pamela2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, lovely characterful property, very spacious. Sue is lovely, warm welcome and had plenty of advice for us for where to visit and eat out. Main criticism was the kitchen could do with a thorough clean, everywhere else nice and clean though.

    Chris2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with a lovely kitchen, spiral staircase and log burner. Booked last minute (about 30 mins before arriving!) and everything was exactly what I needed. Would definitely recommend as a good spot to explore this part of Wales.

    Will2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Poppy cottage was as described! Sue went out of her way to make my family and I comfortable! The house is perfectly located for taking day trips to Tenby, and the Pembrokeshire Coast. As well as centrally located near supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants in Pembroke. We had a lovely time, and highly recommend a stay at Poppy Cottage!

    Lee2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cottage and enjoyed our stay very much. It was a great location being so close to the town and having the garage for the car was a bonus. The layout, facilities and quirky features (staircase!) were great. It was very comfortable and spacious, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It was warm and the wood burner in the evening made it very cosy. The garage can be a bit tight to get into if you've got a big car (we've got a Toyota estate) and we had very poor mobile/4G connectivity - so a good opportunity for a digital detox! but it was fine in the town. A good spot for evening walks around the mill pond and a good location for accessing lots of lovely coastline.

    Adrian2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in poppy cottage. The place was lovely and Sue had made sure it was equiped with everything to make the weekend as comfortable as possible. Location was great for exploring the castle and there was plenty of pubs in walking distance. Would highly recommend Poppy's cottage to explore Pembrokeshire.

  • I spent a week here in August with my little dog. Brilliant location, beautiful beaches no more than 30 minutes away. Easily accessible shops, pubs, cafes etc. The accommodation is first class. Clean and fresh. A great find and will definitely be going back. As a lone traveller, I felt safe staying here. All the properties open on to a gorgeous courtyard, which is gated. Cosy and warm and so quiet. Would highly recommend.

  • We enjoyed staying at Caryl's house during our four days in Pembrokeshire. The basement is spacious, cosy, and well separated from the main house, so it does feel like a little apartment. We found the kitchen exceptionally well stocked for preparing lunches and cooking dinners, i.e. all of the pots and pans, utensils, thermoses, plastic wrap, etc. It really did feel like we were staying in a home, and we felt very comfortable there. We really appreciated all of the personal touches around the space, which is very lovingly decorated. And we found Pembroke in general a good base for our walking day trips around the National Park.

    Lorna2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Caryl is a very helpful and welcoming hostess, nothing is too much trouble for her. The house is in a very convenient and central location for the many beautiful places to visit in the area. The well-equipped kitchen allows proper meals to be prepared OR Pembroke town offers many restaurants and pubs for eating out, just 5 mins walk away.

    Polly2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Caryl was extremely welcoming, even though we got held up and ended up arriving late on a Friday night, she was very good about it. Lovely place to stay and really great value.

    Keri2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was such a wonderful find - spacious, homely, with a lovely kitchen and lots of living space. It is also the most dog-friendly air-bnbs we have ever found: our cocker spaniel had a lovely time and was given lots of fuss and attention. The price is extremely reasonable and the apartment is walking distance from the castle and town centre - cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone hoping to explore the area!

    Andrew2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Caryl's apartment is a sweet little place with your own kitchen and living space. It is a 5 minute walk to town with all local shops. Caryl is so lovely and very welcoming to us. She gave us lots of information about where to go and things to see. There was also space to put our surfboards which was ideal! The place is about 15 minutes from a beautiful beach with amazing surf. We would defiantly stay again!! Thank you Caryl!

    Jess2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous place to stay in a fabulous part of the country. The whole apartment is lovely and carefully decorated, with a particularly impressive kitchen. Caryl has stocked the living room with maps and pamphlets for different things to visit, and she gave us good advice about what all to see. Would definitely stay here again!!

    Ryan2017-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely comfortable apartment which is only a short walk to Pembroke Castle and all amenities. Caryl is a warm and friendly host who went out of her way to make our stay a wonderful experience! We would have loved to have stayed longer!

    Julie2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • When Caryl found out we wanted to go to church, she messaged several of her church-going friends to try and ensure that we would have a familiar face there. How considerate! She had a great selection of maps that she patiently took us through based on our interest. She also gave us great advice on which sights to take in, and every one of her recommendations were spot on. As for her home, it's centrally located and we could walk to town in under 10 minutes. Our living space on the first level is well equipped, and decorated in a way that shows Caryl's love for birds and the sea. She even reminded us that the bridge we wanted to drive through might be closed due to the bad weather, and suggested an alternative route. All said, we leave Pembroke with beautiful memories, many of them thanks to Caryl's hospitality and advice.

  • Took the whole family to this wonderful part of Wales. We had an absolute wonderful time. Great house which can sleep up to 10!!! Very clean, great kitchen, nice garden, fireplace with wood provided which makes the setting very cosy. Located in the main street of town, a nice amount of pubs in the area. So many nice things to do in Pembrokeshire. Great communication with Lou. Everything went very smooth. We would go back in a heartbeat.

  • Fantastic house, well equipped, including toys and books for the kids to play with. The photos do not do the house justice, it's a lot bigger than it seems and worked really well for a large party and kids. The accommodation was lovely and clean with everything we needed, a great central spot and the hosts communication has been brilliant. Hope to stay again, thanks so much!

  • The house was immaculately clean, really beautiful, and in such a good location - so close to the beaches, and right on the main road through Pembroke. Lou left suggestions for things to do, which we really appreciated. She also left us a bottle of bubbly and some Welshcakes, which was a lovely surprise!

  • A brilliant house that was well equipped to deal with our 3 families coming together. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the house and area to any family or group of friends who want to hang out and go to some amazing beaches.

  • My family and I stayed at Lou's place in Pembroke and had a great time. The house is really well-presented, and met the needs of my sister's three kids (aged 3, 7 and 10) very well. Despite a bit of rain there was lots to do in the area, and the two beaches we went to (Freshwater East and Angle) were absolutely beautiful and very quiet. Thoroughly recommended: a great base from which to explore South West Wales!

  • Excellent host - great communication throughout booking which is always reassuring, in addition to checking if all was ok during our stay. Jackie met us upon arrival and gave us a warm welcome to the apartment and area. All the extra details where Jackie has clearly thought about her guests are much appreciated - as mentioned before, such as tea, chocolates, hand soap even (as we always forget) etc., especially after a long(ish) journey. The apartment has everything you could need, with an extremely comfy sofa and bed, meaning for a very restful and relaxing few days exploring Pembrokeshire! We would certainly recommend this to others, and hope to be back ourselves! Thanks again Jackie, we loved it!

Beautiful Farm Pods set on an educational farm, solar showers, compost toilets, outdoor shared kitchen and various fire pits and BBQ's. Play park and access to archery centre, farm volunteering and surrounded by wooded walks. 5 minute walk to castle.
  • Basic farm accommodation with one double bed and a single mattress on the floor (not a sofa bed). Pods themselves are warm and clean. Location is quiet and convenient for Pembroke.

    Sinead2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the farm over the bank holiday weekend. We checked ourselves in and had no problems whatsoever locating the kitchen, toilets, etc... As listed, the amenities are very basic. Pleasantly surprised with the compost toilets, as was quite unsure about them. The pods are clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed being able to have our own bbq there in the evening and just relax on the farm. I would recommend taking a torch, as it would have been easier than a mobile torch. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful, and in an ideal location to visit the area, Pembroke, on foot. For whoever books, do make sure to take a torch, boots (it gets quite muddy in the early mornings), your own towels, food/drink. There is a small fridge which we could use, which was convenient, and they did have available the basic cooking items, such as oil, sauces, salt, pepper. Will definitely book again if i have to :)

    Lisa2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing weekend here and the host was super nice and very accommodating. The pods are on a farm which is really scenic - very quiet with lovely animals (inc. very friendly donkeys and horses). It is ideally situated with Pembroke town and castle only being a 10 minute walk through some pretty woodlands. The pods have basic utilities but are very comfortable - perfect if you are looking for a little break from the city! We also visited Barafundle Bay which is only a 15-minute drive from the farm and is extremely beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here to anybody looking for a peaceful get-away and families!

    chloe2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely setting and we were shown around the farm in the morning and the children loved feeding the lambs and pigs. Fire pit was a nice addition. Need to bring all your own food and campstoves but there are some kitchen utensils there for use. All facilities were basic but good. Easy people to contact and deal with.

    Adrian2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a back to basics camping experience with compost loo and solar shower but with the luxury of sleeping in a Shepard hut. It was exactly as advertised so if you do not want the basic/naturalness of the site then it may not be for you but for us it was lovely. Waking up to sheep in the field opposite and goats wondering around the huts was great but you do have to watch you step as the goats were not potty trained, lol. Great place.

    Mark2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a weekend and was delighted with the pods. Lovely and clean, surprisingly warm and extremely quiet. The farm animals were a treat and our 2 year old had a great time wandering around.

  • Neri and Dave are delightful hosts. They operate their home as a bonafide, licensed BnB, and it is a thoroughly professional operation. My room was small, almost "monastic," but that was all I needed and it was quite comfortable. The room was clean, well kept, quiet, and adjacent to the shared bathroom/shower. Neri cooks a terrific vegetarian breakfast, and, bless her heart, she even did a small load of laundry for me. Great stay.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable! The facilities were homey as well! In the morning when I had to leave early they left out a nice breakfast for me even though it was earlier than their usual breakfast time. This is a place you WANT to stay!

This first floor apartment provides light and airy accommodation with character features. Lounge with huge sash windows faces south and overlooks the grounds, bird feeders, etc. The bedrooms face east (morning sun) and overlook the entrance and huge conker trees. The bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms (not huge). The apartment is within a listed building which has been recently converted into apartments and is somewhat quirky with a few stairs leading down to the bedrooms.
This is our first year renting this apartment for holidays and it has been popular with both families (max 4 people) and couples. We are happy to accept children over 6 but regret no pets.
There is plenty to see and do in Pembroke and Pembrokeshire........beaches and boats..........gifts and gardens........shops and sailing........walks and wildlife. Pembroke is a great place to live and Pembrokeshire has it all, from sweeping beaches to quaint villages, and lily ponds to ancient stone churches, Pembrokeshire seems to provide a picture-perfect scene at every turn.
