It was wonderful! We were even able to check in earlier than expected. The accommodation is as described - simply fantastic and very clean. Street noise can also be mastered well with oropax. The uncomplicated check-in was also highly recommended.

First Impression when i opened the door was "WOW". After i check all side of the house "WOOOW" and then when i know the location that close to famous Mee Goreng Bangkok Lane then i thought that i chose the right house. Everything is perfect. This is a place worth the price! Bright lighting perfect for doing your work, super clean place and even provides slippers! Toilet is small but I'm okay with it. The place is really super close to shops and the night market. The bed is comfy and you'll definitely get a good night rest!

The room is as described and as shown in the pictures. Easy check in and self check out. Minutes away by walk from town and places of interest. Many restaurants around. Can hear the street from the room, probably the back of a restaurant and ppl shouting but they stop at a reasonable time to not disturb your sleep. Communication has always been fast and concise.

Very clean and nice, comfortable bed for a good sleep. Modern and stylish. However, bare in mind the location - it is not near to the Georgetown old town so you are dependent on Grab.

Wow ~ The children are so excited when they go in. You can watch the sunrise in the morning, and the other side is reclamation, which slightly ruins the beauty. There is a swimming pool underneath. The location is not far from Gurney, and it is acceptable without some children. There is a food stall downstairs, and the famous carnation bone and bone tea is nearby. The price is super high. Amway gave it to the friends in Penang. They also visited and collected. Must check in next time you go to Penang

The place is spacious and has everything that you need for your holiday. The view is just amazing day and night. The location is just perfect, right at the corner of the place is load with places to eat. The shopping malls are around ten minutes walking with the famous Gurney Hawker food stalls are a bit further away.

Stunning view. Beautiful place. Recommend. The room was clean. For check in process, we are confuse a little bit because we think key box is a mail box(lobby floor) same as another airbnb. But actually it is in front of the room. And remember car parking scan is 'LINE1'.

Great stay at Ching Giap's place 😁 Everything is as advertised. The self check in process is convenient and instructions are clear. We are welcomed by the sea view as we entered. Cleanliness is great. We got to try the oven for the pizza and its working just fine. Cutlery is sufficient. Really love the large tv with lots of channels provided. Toilet is clean and water heater is working just fine. The facilities is great with swimming pool, gym and convenient store within the vicinity. Though we didn't get the chance to try the pool for this visit. We did toke a stroll by the pool area and we are surprised to find that there are 2 swimming pools with great lenghts provided. We will definitely try it the next time we visit. Overall a great experience for us and we will be looking forward to stay again.

Ching Giap has an extremely clean and comfortable house, the place is very clean and the amenities is fully equipped. The view from the room is super beautiful which can see the Penang Bridge. I would strongly recommend to those who is still considering.

We had a 3D2N stay there, the whole apartment was really clean. Small, comfortable space with all the furnitures needed (washing machine, dryer). Might be a little bit warm @ the bed area due to the room layout. Other than that, everything’s great!! 👍🏻👍🏻 there’s also swimming pool in the estate!!!

The perfect studio for a couple. Everything you need is provided (dishes, cooking appliance, hairdryer, iron, washing machine & drier). They even have pamphlets of food hunting at Penang! The owner is very helpful and gave clear direction to the house. Will definitely come back here again!

Nice, clean and comfortable apartment. The host is very friendly and helpful. Always available with prompt response whenever I had questions or queries. Overall is satisfying and highly recommended. Except for the parking, which is really challenging all the way up and down with the sharp and narrow turn. Not a good idea to park upstairs for those whose car is long.

After spending a few days in Penang, this one is really the best experience. The rooms are really good. You can see the night view of Penang when you sleep in the bedroom at night. There are 7-11 underneath, and the enthusiastic host provides a lot of useful travel information, and will definitely come again if you have the opportunity

Very cute heritage house! We had self-check-in and all was clear and comfortable. This house is located near to a large mall, where you can eat cheaply. Also, the host gave to us some advice about eating. In the room was all that we needed for one night's stay. Lovely place!

So great near gurnay plaza n drive, sleeping budha and other strategic view. The homestay is calm and heritage too. Clean and you can have some coffee or tea at kitchen. The heater an AC is working too.. No need more data seluler cause the wifi is so fast. Will come again next time

Lim's place is cute and sparkling clean. It is close to major shopping areas. Very convenient and about 10-15 minutes of Grab ride to attraction areas. Lim is very quick with his response and very helpful with local tips. Would stay again.

Retains most of the architecture of the shophouse's past. Mr Lim was nice to message beforehand. Nearby to a few restaurants. Pantry has some snacks and coffee/tea powder - thoughtful! The odd mosquito might bother you but the host has provided repellents. Great place nonetheless

We had a really pleasant stay here and it's great to experience staying at a heritage house. The room is clean, well ventilated and has good amount of natural light. Love the pretty neighbourhood, which is a strip of similar well preserved heritage houses and it's a great location!

House is clean, secure and has a nice kitchen with water, coffee and tea. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice (we had the room upstairs). Host was always in reach via WhatsApp or Airbnb and very helpful. We did not have a problem with mosquitos but the walls are very thin. We kept hearing a guy hacking from the house next to this one. Not a huge problem or the owner's fault. Overall, it is a comfortable stay and the owners have made it cozy and clean. Location is nice because it is next to the Gurney Mall. Further from the central part of town.

Good location. Tip top scenery from living room. Door step hawker stalls. Many parking lot around the area. Quick response by the host. Pls stay at least two nights to enjoy the ambience of the surrounding. Definitely want to revisit again.

Ronnie’s place was fantastic from the get go! He was easy to communicate with and made check in procedures very easy. The room was clean, comfortable and had an amazing view with all of the ammenities you need for your stay including a washing machine/ dryer and kitchen (was very handy). The rooftop pools and gym were an added bonus to a perfect stay, they both had amazing views and were quiet enough to utilise them peacefully. It was a very safe stay and the location was great, only took 5 mins to find some delicious food. Had a great time in Penang and would definitely recommend staying in Ronnie's place to experience the joys of Penang :) Thanks Ronnie!

This apartment is great. It's really close to the center. There is a bakery and small shop in the building too. The view is absolutely fabulous and the same is true for the infinity pool. Pat is a wonderful host. She shared a lot of local tips and suggestions with us. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It's a great catch!

We really enjoyed the stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and totally beautiful. The view is great. Unfortunately it is a bit far to the city center, which is why we mostly used a grave. However, the city is beautiful.

The co host Pat was swift in replying messages and enquiries. Check in and out process was super easy too. The studio was spacious and very clean. The location of this place is also very strategic as it is very near to the heritage area and other tourist attractions. Worth the price.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Penang. The location is great—just a short walk to all the main attractions and good food. There is also a smoothie/bowl shop downstairs that has the best smoothie and bowls in Penang. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Penang!

100% recommend to stay here. It’s a very convenient location if you’re around to see Georgetown street art. The owners are very helpful as well. They even let us leave our luggage in their place after we checked out so we can do our thing through the day. 👍

The house is clean and comfortable, and the location is particularly good. It is very close to Shantou Street and many attractions are only walking distance. Both the boss and the wife will speak Chinese very well, so you do n’t have to worry about language issues. We can leave our luggage here and hang out for the next night's flight. Life in Penang is slow and comfortable, thank you for spending a comfortable two nights here.

Location, value for money, environment is very good, to give you a suggestion, the quality of a homestay is not to be measured by the price, two homestays in Penang, this one is more than a hundred, the other More than three hundred, I thought it would be better to be more expensive, but it is not the case. The one with more than three hundred does not want to live as long as fifty. Very poor. Facilities and mosquito geckos are everywhere. Bad reviews really do n’t want to be in the comments of that one. Write it down, after all, it is difficult to do business, you can only talk about it here. The downstairs of this house is the Shantou Street Night Market, which is very convenient. The Mural Street, the Surname Bridge, the Museum, Everbright, Parkson are very close, and you can walk to it. The nearest point is 3 minutes, and the distance is 10 minutes. There are a lot of homestays near these points, but you will definitely not regret choosing this one.

Beautiful place in the heart of the old town! Clean and quiet. The fresh bar downstairs offers a variety of tasty and healthy breakfasts, fresh juices, smoothies. I had a wonderful time! I strongly recommend it!

Clean room. Big room for 2 people. Strategic location as it is walking distance to local food stalls, Perangin Mall, First Avenue. Next to this place, there is a dimsum restaurant. At the first floor, they serve fresh fruits, juices, smoothies etc which taste great!

If you want something traditional but with a modern touch, this is the place. It’s close to everything! From warung that serves local breakfast to jetty where you can sightseeing to shopping mall. I 101% love this place!

The place was very conveniently located to a lot of shopping malls and had all the necessary amenities. It was clean and very spacious for me and my family. Mr Lim himself was very accommodating and responded very quickly to any queries or request that we had. I would strongly recommend this place to others.

Fast response and clean

A very clean and tidy place! There are a 24-hr convenience store, cafe and restaurants downstairs, and a few more nearby. It's quite close to the chulia st and street arts and costs us only 8-9 RM to go there by grab. The only downside is that the shower water splashes out easily, yet we don't have the mop etc to dry the water. It's not a big concern though!

Stayed three nights unfortunately without a washing machine is very inconvenient. In addition, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers must be prepared by the homestay. The design is very warm, small, clean, clean and hygienic. Only the microwave oven ca n’t cook. I ’m sad. The kitchen is a bit crowded. It ’s not cheap at this price. The landlord will add a WeChat check-in guide.

Bryant's place is perfect! Sparkling clean, usefull anemities, self check-in, the location is easy to find, a lot of food stall nearby, near bus stop, the view is awesome, room interior is perfectly same as the photos, and his building is besides the legendary Ghee Hiang shop.

The place was very pleasant and relaxing with beautiful interior design. It is located on the 32nd floor so you can see an amazing view from the apartment's veranda. Yes, veranda, outside of the 32nd-floor apartment. Winnie was also very responsiven and helpful. She takes good care of the room so that it will be pleasant for the guests coming in. Checking in was very quick. You can also check out the public spaces in the building, there is a swimming pool, jacuzi, gym, rooftop view and other interesting rooms to visit. Note that proper attire is needed to access the gym and pool. Great place to stay in !

Self-checkin/checkout is good and convenient. The room is clean and the view is great too. The washing machine can set time so that you don’t have to adjust your schedule if you want to wash clothes!! And it can dry clothes too!! All faculties are great. However, the bedroom is really light in the morning. Recommended if you don’t mind stay a little far from George Town(Grab to George Town about 15mins).

Very nice location and good environment

Stayed at this location with a girlfriend during CNY and it was a pleasant stay. Expect workers to come in to use the store room during daytime but just for brief moments only. Overall the place is clean and I love that the smart tv is equipped with Netflix! Just one thing, it lacks a fridge so no place to chill your leftovers if you over order during your Penang stay hehs. There is an induction cooker and water boiler. There are convenient stores (MyNEWS and 7-eleven) just below the building so it’s pretty convenient if you need to get anything urgent. The place can get a bit loud at night, so if you’re a light sleeper, be prepared to bring some ear plugs.

A very strategic location in Penang. The room is clean. I read from previous review, some said it's noisy. But after staying for one night (Friday night), I think it is very acceptable, bcoz the music is quite far from the unit. To me, it's negligible. It's good to have free music to enjoy too.

All five stars, first of all, the location is very good, oh! Taking a taxi is also very convenient! There are also shopping malls nearby, which are all very good. At one point, the landlord didn't tell them that they had just renovated. The taste was too great. It should be better for everyone to stay here later. However, I didn't reply to me after I gave an opinion to the landlord, but it made people get an air purifier in our loft. Generally speaking, it was OK. Will come to penang next time!

Unfortunately we had some noisy neighbours using common area until 2am, but can't know. Tip, turn off common area lights after 10:30pm

Part of a colonial villa, wich itself is part of a beautiful little colonial street, it offers everything you need: a comfy bed, enough lights, aircon & fan, a mirror and a minifridge(if you need more space you can use the big one in the kitchen, where you can prepare tea/coffee etc for free) The apartment comes with a seperate shower and toilet ( the fact that they are open at the top, is nothing that 2 people with a bit of organization talent can’t handle😁 as there’s a nice little Veranda on the outside) Check in/out is super easy with the number lock. The street itself is rather quiet except the little demons (motorcycles!) The food in the neighborhood is yummy 😋 Highly recommended!

Beautiful homes with great ambiance. Was here for three nights, first two nights at Dwell, the last night at Palanquinn. Strategic location, smack in the middle of Bangkok Lane, within walking distance to eateries and the malls at Gurney Drive. Downside - washroom at ground floor rooms at Dwell had no ventilation.

A really great and clean place to stay at. Clinic and 24/7 shop is within 4-mins walk. Popular hawkers’ stall at Gurney drive is just 10mins walk away. One downside to expect is you will be hearing footsteps of the guests in the room upstairs.

We loved staying at Lim’s place on Bangkok Lane! It was really cool staying in an old heritage house and we really enjoyed sitting out and having our morning coffee on the patio. As others have mentioned, it’s pretty loud since it’s right on the street, so if you’re a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.

Great place to stay. I only had time for a night but enjoyed my stay. It's a little smaller than it looked in the photos but definitely very nice.
