Science Museum
“this is the technical Museum. It is very close to the appartment, and the building itself is worth a look (inside and out). They have a lot of great current exhibits plus very old technical supplies that always make me smile. Its quite big, maybe for a rainy day, or if you are into it like me ;)”

“you are super close to the Viennese forest to see nature instead of the city”

“Topped by Otto Wagner’s glimmering art-nouveau church, Steinhofgründe is the most underrated of Vienna’s city parks. Sauntering along its pebbled paths, past wild raspberry and blackberry bushes, you’re just as likely to come across kite-flying adults as you are children clambering over huge forest playgrounds built entirely from natural materials. Old oaks and ageing apple trees create calming arbours, complete with wooden picnic tables. For the best views over the city, seek out the hand-carved sun loungers and allow the countryside to work its unwinding magic.”

“One of the best parks in vienna which has something to offer for everyone. There are fitness devices, three table tennis tables, a playground for kids, a basket ball court, an area for dogs and lots of green area to relax. Prefere going there in autumn or summer! A lovely park for a stroll. We come here every morning if we can to the playgrounds as we live near here. The kids love it, especially the sand area and the open grass area to run. Do note that there are no toilets though. A very nice park with wonderful playgrounds.”

“Pötzleinsdofer Park is a beautiful old park with free roaming deer and a little petting zoo. It also offers a huge play ground and is very popular by the locals. The roots of the park date back to the 13th century. In 1801 it was re-designed by Konrad Rosenthal, a famous gardener of the former aristocracy. He built little ponds and planted exotic trees (redwood trees). Today you also find statues and a temple in this beautiful park. You may reach this park within 15 minutes by foot.”

“Beloved Viennese Prolo Hotspot. The really beautiful red and white municipal outdoor pool shows Ottakring in pure form: pool attendants and children supply themselves from May to September in a power struggle, the lady at the buffet is cult and real regular guests reserve the same lounger every summer. In addition to the infamous cabins there are sports pools, children's pools with slides and beach volleyball courts”
