I’ll share the rich history of Greek beekeeping, a tradition my family has upheld since 1935, brought to life with artifacts and stories from our heritage. • We’ll start with a honey and olive oil tasting at my family’s Melira shop, sampling eight rare monovarietal honeys like carob, heather, and thyme and olive oil from our olive groves . I’ll share stories about how we relocate beehives to areas with specific flowers and plants, and you’ll enjoy cutting and tasting fresh honeycomb . • Next, we’ll visit a nearby spot to try handmade loukoumades (Greek donuts) topped with monovarietal honeys, praline, and traditional spoon sweets like black cherry and grape. At another cozy location, you’ll savor Greek yogurt paired with different honeys, discovering how each enhances the yogurt’s creamy richness. • We’ll finish back at the shop, where I’ll answer your questions, share tips, and help you find your favorite flavors. We’ll draw inspiration from this legend to craft four individual relief tiles, which you’ll be able to take home to use as coasters or wall art. • Then, working collaboratively, we’ll combine your individual tiles so they become part of a larger unified, shared creation. You’ll take home a ceramic souvenir crafted by me, along with photos of your work and the group’s project. Traditional Greek food tour in hidden Athens

The no 1 Airbnb experience in all of Greece! Discover the most authentic and fresh, traditional Athenian food in non tourist areas and hidden spots of Athens! The places you may not find alone! Visit local streets and see, taste and shop for cheese, cured meat, fruits, sweets and spices in the markets full of colour, scents and noise. Sample olives, oil and honey from a farmer and local barrel wine made on the tavernas premises. On tours starting at 3.00pm , the fish and meat market are starting to close so we go quickly to see as much as possible. On Sundays and weekly tours starting after 3.30pm markets ARE SHUT so on this tour we will visit a taverna and eat traditional Athenian food and go to a spice shop and a honey and olive oil producer to taste these amazing products! We will enjoy a fantastic deli with a cured meat and cheese tasting and sample Greek coffee and fruits from a local producer. Many tastings offered including sit down meals of meat and fish on all our tours, as you learn about Greek culture from people who live it daily. You will have many friends in Athens at the end of this experience! Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available however, vegan options NOT available on Sundays. Our cat-walk starts near the foothill of Acropolis where we meet our first sociable kitties, get to know their names and their backstories. Freddie and his siblings will welcome you to their area, while Kolovos -our tuxedo boy- will enjoy your petting! We continue our walk through a park where we will meet fluffy Swiffer & Bengal boy who will lure you with their charms together with their feline friends! Strolling through the quiet streets of this neighborhood we find out that every block has a small colony of cats, like chatty Nala and shy Simba ready to still your hearts. We continue our walk towards another park and find our last colony where will meet Gazelle and her best buddy Billy Ray, among others. Our cat - walk finishes at Thissio metro station.
