Really nice place to stay in town at SLO. Everything was perfect for us.

Ryan (And family) have truly thought of everything. Not only is their space sparkling clean, comfortable and safe, but you’ll want for nothing. They have side tables exactly where you’d want them. Place to charge your phone? Again, right by the bed where’d you want. Sleep warm at night? There’s already a fan set up at the foot of the bed. Sleep cool? Look to your left, a space heater is waiting. Need a local recommendation? The binder is stocked and in eye sight. Need a Doctor? Number is listed right by the door. My point is, if you’re looking for a no brainer welcoming space Ryan and Family have you covered. I highly recommend if you’re traveling from another country or really want to feel like you have you’re own space. The neighborhood is nice. Their dog is sweet and derpy. The pool is well maintained. I will be booking with them again for future visits.

Our stay was great - the space was super clean and comfortable. They had really nice extras like filtered water in the fridge, music plug-in, and plenty of toiletries. Not to mention their extra sweet dog Sadie...we loved every minute of our trip!

Place was great.. easy to get to. Very clean and great amenities. For people who like live tv there is no cable. Netflix and Hulu only. Also there is a ladder to the upstairs loft so for elderly people I wouldn’t recommend the top loft. Everything was great. Quiet and relaxing!

Sarah and Anton’s place with its stellar reviews did not disappoint! We booked it knowing our toddler would have a great time and It was better than what we expected. He never wanted to leave. Sarah was even gracious enough to accommodate our last minute request for an early check-in. From the unique theme, thoughtful touches, the dedicated parking space, the hospitality, everything was much appreciated!

We wish we had time to stay for more than one night. We would have loved to enjoy the courtyard and firepit. The lifeguard tower was such a cool place to sleep.

Our 3 year old couldn’t get enough of the yard. I loved the bed. My husband who was a lifeguard for years, lived a dream by staying in the bunkie with our daughter.

This studio was perfect for us and our 10m baby for our vacation. There’s plenty of space for a pack n play and still plenty of room to move around. It is so close to everything and situated in the perfect little neighborhood in the foothills. The views of Bishop Peak are stunning and the patio is very relaxing. It was easy to drive less than 10 min to Cal Poly, grab a bite to eat, or go Downtown and it took only 20 min to get to Montaño de Oro state park. Melanie and her husband were very communicative and hospitable. We felt very comfortable spending time on their beautiful property. We would love to go back!

Amazing place & even more amazing hosts!

I loved my stay at Melanie's. The studio is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful views. I loved its proximity to good food and coffee shops, hiking, and the city rolled into one. Melanie was a fantastic host, respectful, attentive and cared about her guests. The studio itself was sparkling clean. Everything was in perfect order. I would not hesitate to recommend the studio to anyone, and would stay with her again when I'm back in the area.

If we could have given this place 6 stars we would have. It is one of the most lush Airbnb’s available. So much love and detail has been put into this place and it truly feels like home away from home

Delightful inlaw suite in SLO. You can, in fact, walk to downtown SLO from there as my partner and I figured out, but we recommend a car for the less intrepid (or 45m walking inclined). Scout coffee is very nearby and is a can't miss. Also Melanie and Scott are lovely people and the space is SO cute.

Melanie’s place was awesome! The studio was detached from her house and had its own private entrance. The kitchenette had appliances and silverware, even snacks! The studio was spotless and Melanie had everything we could have needed already in there. Would 100% recommend and would stay here again if ever back in the area!

Even if you do n’t see the host, you can always feel his enthusiasm. The surprises he brings you, such as toys and cards, such as a projector, such as a camera, you seem to have come to the old friend's house, Free and comfortable, there are not so many constraints, but there will be dog barking when walking downstairs, it is shocking.

My family of six started one night on our way to San Diego. It was the perfect place to rest and relax for the evening. Getting in and out was easy. Amber's directions made everything go smoothly. The condo is cute, functional, close to the ocean, and comfortable. The beds were especially comfy!

Amber's spacious beach home was a delightful place to relax on our visit to California's central coast wine country. Well located, a short walk to the beach and a short drive to the monarch butterfly grove, good restaurants, and many vineyards, it is filled with thoughtful and tasteful amenities as well as comfortable necessities. If I could, I'd give it seven stars to distinguish it from five-star places we have stayed that were barren and characterless and had hidden flaws. Guests might notice traffic and wall heater sounds, but neither kept us from sleeping soundly on the magnificent memory-foam beds.

We spent a couple nights here and were very happy with it. Everything was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the proximity to the beach was perfect. The beach parking pass was a nice touch too.

We originally booked two nights but decided to add on an additional one during our first day there as we were already enjoying it so much. Very quiet place to stay in a great location for a peaceful stay at the beach. Five minute walk to the beach, five to ten minute walk to cafes and restaurants. We will definitely want to stay here again next time we’re in the area!

We absolutely loved our stay. Debra’s place is in a prime location, the bed was comfy/sheets were clean, entire area was clean, and there was a little backyard for the pups to run around. We highly recommend Debra’s place and will be coming back soon!

It was very close to the beach and Butterfly Grove. It also has the detailed information for check in. Just one thing is that there might can clearly hear the voice of the top floor. But not a big thing.

I was greeted upon my arrival, given a helpful tour, and invited to hangout and socialize around the fire pit. I’ve been on the road alone for awhile and wanted to stay someplace that felt more “alive” than a hotel and I got just that in getting to stay with a warm, inviting family and hangout with lovable black lab. So many thoughtful, helpful amenities in the room. I especially appreciated the view while sipping tea in the mornings on the deck overlooking the adjacent hillside and ocean in the distance.

This place was perfect for us, comfortable and relaxing with many great touches and a style (Buddah Bohemian) that we loved. The ocean is minutes a way, the area super friendly and great walks/hikes are nearby (see book in house). We enjoyed the Brewery down the street for lunch, the Farmers Market in Arroyo Grand for food to make at home and the Dunes in Pismo for adventure. Mostly we found the house a lovely haven to hang out and relax in. We can't wait to go back!

Had an amazing time !!

Everything about the bungalow suited us perfectly! The size was just right for a couple, even though there is the fold-out couch if you want to bring another one or two people. The kitchen was well appointed - just be sure to check all the lower cabinets and canisters for the toaster, blender, coffee, tea, etc. The shower was very nice, towels were thick, the bath includes a ceiling heat lamp and ventilation (!), bed linens were luxurious, and the mattress was super comfy. The living room seating was especially nice with a place to put our feet up after walking miles on the beautiful local beaches each day. Our German Shepherd Dog loved the closed-in and very quiet back yard - nothing to bark at and that made her very happy. She also enjoyed the Avila dog beach and the Morro Strand dog beach. Restaurants are ridiculously close - just walk up a slight hill and turn either left or right - breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available in a very short distance in both directions on Shell Beach Drive. And down the hill to the breathtaking ocean view was a favorite short after-dinner stroll for us. We are already talking about what we might do when we visit Diana's place again next year!

What an absolute gem of a place! I have never felt so at home, so immediately relaxed in a new space. My husband and I luxuriated in the sooo comfortable bed, blissed out in the incredible backyard, and soaked in the gorgeous, thoughtful details in every corner of this home. It was so hard to leave! Diana made everything clear and made great suggestions for places to visit and eat. Shell Beach feels like a small, close-knit community, and everyone was quiet and respectful. The beach was STUNNING. The homes were gorgeous. We loved everything about it and I hope we can recreate that atmosphere in our own home someday! It was like a trip to the spa. Bring me back!

Soooo comfy. The morning of checkout (before heading away on a bike-packing journey), I just layed in bed for like an hour for the sheer enjoyment of the space and the comfort. They also let me store my bike in their garage. I didn’t really see much of the hosts, but what was nice was the feeling that they simply trusted their guests with use of the kitchen and public spaces — felt like a home!

This "cute studio" was, indeed, cute and comfortable and contained everything we needed to make our stay outstanding. The decorations and ambiance were welcoming, along with the kind gestures of bottled water and snacks. The twin beds were comfortable and offered a great night's sleep. We had a distant view of the ocean and excellent off-street parking. We loved being in a neighborhood from which we could walk to eateries, the train station, and the beach. The studio was easy to find and is actually in walking distance of the Monarch Butterfly Grove.

Steven and Kitty are very kind and personable hosts. They are very responsive and great company. The room itself is wonderful and very clean and the bed is very very comfortable.

Lovely people! Steve & Kitty are great communicators and hosts. They embody the spirit of what Airbnb originally meant to be. We jumped on the opportunity to enjoy Kitty's delicious homemade omelette and had a wonderful breakfast with them with delightful conversation. They have a lifetime of stories to share and are definitely not done creating more, as they travel often themselves and are full of inspiring plans for the future! Unfortunately, we had to head out after breakfast but went happily, with Kitty's baggies of goodies for the road. We'd love to return:)

Kitty and Steve made my birthday weekend trip so special and fun! The space is very clean and there is a lot of room. They were both very sweet and hospitable and gave me good suggestions on things to do. Kitty even made me breakfast on the house for my birthday! If you’re in the area, definitely stay here.

Steven and Kitty certainly do have style and, I'm sure, many travel stories of their own to share. It would have been so interesting to hear more about their vast collection of figurines and artifacts if I hadn't been in the throes of a fever during my entire overnight stay. It was a great relief to receive their warm welcome and feel completely at ease to sleep and sleep LONG in the clean and comfortable room they provide. I'm very grateful to them both as I was back to myself the next day after such a good rest. I am enormously grateful for their sweetness and hospitality!

Good people with a perfect place to rest for the night. I was in and out, but I was able to get a good night’s rest in a place I felt welcome and safe. Very close to the beach and stores while still being residential and peaceful. Would recommend!

Both Steve and Kitty are amazing hosts. Kitty’s omelette is well worth it and if you’re into cooking, she’d gladly appreciate a helping hand in the kitchen.

Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved our stay at Tanya & Scott’s! They were extremely helpful in giving local tips and everywhere we ate at was wonderful. Peace, Privacy, Perfect and Pristine Vintage Home in a Small Quint California Town

This Airbnb was a great value and in a great location! Came for the weekend from the Bay and both Tanya and her son were super friendly and helpful during my stay. Definitely recommend them :')

Tanya and Scott are super lovely and friendly. The place was warm and peaceful. The Spoon Trade was a great local place for dinner and Lil Bits cafe was great for breakfast.

A beautiful home, very stylish, close to the beach

Korrie's place was ideal for our large group: 1 king bedroom and 2 queen bedrooms downstairs, and a pull out sofa bed and futon upstairs in the living area. Everyone had their own space, but there was also enough common area (large dining table, kitchen,icing room and patio) for us all to congregate and hang out together. The home was sparkling clean, well designed, and had TVs in each room! The location worked well, too - we were 15 minutes from hiking @ Avila Beach, from downtown SLO and from Edna Valley wineries. Highly recommend!!!

Great place for our family vacation! Very quiet & great central location to visit Pismo, wineries, San Luis Obispo even Hearst Castle. Easy walk or drive to the marvellous beach. Restaurants & stores near by, all the conveniences we needed. Loved the stylish touches. Definitely recommend!!!

This home was amazing. It was very clean and well-stocked. Whether you have family with toddlers teenagers or no family at all this is the place you would like to stay. Location is great as well. Very close to everything. Besides recommending it I hope I get to stay here again in the future.

This house is so cute and well decorated. We appreciated the extra touches like the products in the bathrooms, the coffee bar downstairs, and the games in the pantry. It’s a quick drive away from the beach or anything else you might need. We recommend this place to anyone staying in the Grover Beach area.

Marc, was so great at communicating with us. We arrived around 1130pm our first night and he warmly welcomed us after a long day of traveling. We continued on our way to San Diego the next day and returned the following night to Marc's Airbnb. Since it was just us the entire weekend he kindly waved our cleaning fee for our first night/booking. It's in a great location and comfortable place to stay.

Marc and Susan's place is incredible! We would highly recommend staying here - it was one of our favorite Airbnb stays so far. Marc was super accomodating of our late arrival, and gave us a ton of tips on what to check out the next day. The amenities we're top-notch and thoughtful. Everything was very clean as well. The only thing we're sad about was not staying for longer.

Marc was a great host. He met with us in person when we arrived and gave us a thorough tour of his lovely home. We had everything you can imagine in our room which added more comfort during our stay. This place is great! Right off the freeway and really close to downtown Pismo. I found this place because it is pet-friendly, and it totally is! Has a small little grassy area for my dog to run around or go pee/poop, and there's complimentary poop bags to help with the pick up too. The room was nice and we enjoyed sleeping in the King size bed. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room, so I appreciate not having to call to request those items.

Walking into James and Wendy's Beach Bungalow was like taking in a heavenly dessert! This was my first stay at an airbnb, and I'm afraid that it's a real possibility that any other stay will pale in comparison. Besides clean and beautifully decorated, the personal touches brought warm smiles. Especially the Valentine welcome note 💕 Everything we needed was at our fingertips, and without question James and Wendy put a great deal of time and thought into making their Bungalow a private, quiet and welcoming haven. The pictures don't do it justice. There is a lot of space, storage, and feels like there is a kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a living room. This meant that we had space to lounge alone in one room, or take a nap, watch TV in the other room, and cook up a small feast in the other. The grounds were nicely manicured as well. I had the pleasure of meeting their son who was just a delight. The affordability was a gift as well. Thank you both for making my weekend getaway magical. Joy💛

Fantastic space, perfect for a weekend getaway.

Such a nice home away from home! It was nice to be able to relax on the couch in the evening and the bed was super comfortable! We loved being able to walk to the grocery store and several restaurants. We even walked to the beach - about a mile - and it was perfect. It was nice and quiet and we really enjoyed our stay.

The house was very inviting and made me feel like I’m by the beach / got me in the mood to go to the beach! Very laid back and relaxing. Great little touches like a personalized welcome with flowers.

Pristine rental in a lovely neighborhood just steps from great hotels and of course, the Ocean. Colette was responsive if I needed anything and is very warm and friendly, as are the neighbors. I highly recommend this rental I did not want to leave!

I come a couple times a year from Minneapolis to visit my daughter. This is a very nice place in a great location. It is a short 10 minute drive to Avila Beach, in my opinion the nicest beach along this part of the coast. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

I enjoyed myself

This is a lovely place with many special touches and very well stocked! The wifi is great and the information binder about the place and sightseeing information is very helpful and complete! The nearby hotel's public walkways offer amazing sunset views and lots of cute cotton-tailed bunnies!

What else can I say about Collette’s Mermaid Retreat?!?! We loved every second of our stay in her beautiful condo. Just stay here if visiting Shell/Pismo Beach and/or San Luis Obispo. It’s awesome!

Collette’s place is so awesome we extended our stay another month. Steps from the ocean, the location is fabulous. Super clean, nice sized kitchen for cooking meals, and also a large bathroom. We love her place and would absolutely stay here again and again. You won’t go wrong booking here!

Amazing place to stay!!

Jody's house was in a great location, clean and very nicely decorated. She provided snacks and tips for the area and was very timely in all communications. We would definitely stay there next time we are in the area.

One block to ocean and take a right when you see ocean and a block later you are the pismo pier. You can walk to many restaurants and old west cinnamon rolls are a 10 min walk. Plus you have a place to park your vehicle by the apartment for free. That is worth at least $20 a day , or you can splurge and park it under the high price hotel that charges $45 a day. Have stayed there at least three times over the last few years. Beach motif and has beach chairs to use. Love, love the place!

Fantastic spot in Pismo Beach! Super clean, lots of fun snacks and tips, and amazing location just off the beach. I think we got to sleep on the new mattress and it was fabulous. No real construction noise for us. Will definitely come back again! :) P.S. we rented a private hot tub 15 minutes up the road (Sycamore resort) and it was lovely - check it out if you visit.

Jody’s place has an amazing location, a 30 second walk to the beach. The space was very clean and had everything I needed, the bed is very comfortable. Jody was super quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back.

We decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary in Pismo Beach. Jody's home was incredible. Arrival and check-in were a breeze. Parking space provided by Jody (which is nice because of the hotel next door). The apartment was spotless and warm when we arrived and it literally less than a minute walk to the pier and beach. We would definitely recommend this place to all our friends and cannot wait to come back. Thanks a bunch, Jody!! :)

Violeta’s place was spacious, clean and spotless. Beds were super cozy and even with 4 people we felt like we all had plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked and in a nice neighborhood.

Violeta is a gracious host. The pantry has plenty of snacks and cooking ingredients. We have the whole kichen to us. The place is conveniently located in the Pismo Beach area.

This was one of the cleanest homes that we have ever stayed. It is a fully stocked, 2 bedroom apartment with a king bed and 2 single beds. The decor is very stylish, even with some holiday touches. The kitchen was stocked with a Keurig, plenty of coffee and tea, oatmeal, ramen, everything. The check-in was a breeze, and there is a designated, covered parking spot. You do have to climb one set of stairs to reach the apartment entrance. One note is that the radiator can be loud at night. Aside from that, we would completely recommend this location! We loved the proximity to Avila Barn and the SLO Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning.

Marianne was a wonderful, thoughtful host. Great communication and a lovely space to spend the night. Her dog is a sweetheart too!

My husband and I stayed one night at this adorable little studio for our second wedding anniversary. The place is small and cozy, perfect for a couple looking to spend some close quality time together. The host, Marianne, is an absolute sweetest person! She is very communicative, welcoming, and friendly. Marianne is also great at letting her guest know all the 411 on places to visit and see while visiting the area. Ben’s place is a gem. At the heart of Pismo Beach, if you ever get a chance, you should host your trip here. Ben is very accommodating with our requests, and he is very active with communicating any information. We were a big group, and we loved our stay at Ben’s place, which was made great by Ben’s hospitality and the location of the place.

Ben was a fantastic host. When we were notified before our trip that the listing we originally booked was not available on the weekend we were staying due to a house maintenance appointment he immediately helped accommodate us by booking us in his other listing that was available. It worked out smoothly since the other listing was pretty much the same house as the first one. In addition to that, he was quick to respond to my messages and even made sure we enjoyed our stay by offering recommendations on where to eat around the area. The house was nice and clean as expected. I recommend staying here if you're planning to visit SLO!

Comfy place to stay. Check in, we met with the mechanic and he was a really nice guy. Everything else went smoothly although it was basically similar to another motel/hotel. Could hear the neighbors through the door but that’s to be expected. Free hot chocolate!

When I first booked this listing I was extremely skeptical given the very... cheap price, basic photos, and description. Upon arrival I was completely relieved as it was extremely clean, crawling distance to the beach, and even had a huge hot tub! Fresh towels, sheets, shampoo + more. I will definitely be back for many more trips. David is a great host and I am very confident in recommending this to anyone looking for a cheap getaway without compromising quality!

Nice place. Much like a motel room. Everything was neat and nice. Close to beach and other places to see. Try to see the melodrama at the local community theater.

We needed a base camp for a small film shoot at the beach and this was perfect! It's small but close by and very convenient. Emiliano and Lourdes made everything super easy for us during our day. They responded quickly and allowed us a stay with our unusual hours. Would definitely recommend for any trips in the area!

Very cute and quaint cottage located in walking distance to the ocean. There is a nice little park on the bluffs overlooking the ocean where we enjoyed wine and cheese while watching the sunset. They were very gracious hosts, giving us wine tasting recs but also providing us space as this was a romantic Valentine's Weekend getaway with my hubby. The wine and snacks they provided was also a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again!

5 min walk from a rocky beach, fun to watch the surfers

Renatas place is the best location in pismo, right on beach road but not along the walkway of the beach so it’s very private. We have rented 20-30 Airbnb locations as couples and this one was exactly what they said. Super nice touches like coffee, spices, bbq on patio, the linens and bedding was above standard! Everything there you needed to make meals. Also enjoyed all the recommendations that Renata made to us for restaurants and wine tours. LOVE PISMO BEACH

This place IS TRULY STEPS TO THE BEACH! Even a swing set and slide is right there on the beach for the kids! The boardwalk is steps away as well to walk to the pier and all the restaurants and shops. This location is SUPER and the condo is BEAUTIFUL! We LOVED IT!

Stephanie Bungalow is a wonderful little place for two people. Great location, close to Pismo Beach, SLO, restaurants, and more. Love the private courtyard for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening.

Stephanie was so great at accommodating me so last minute. Checking in was easy and the room had everything I needed to pack last minute! She even provided batteries incase the power went out due to the storm.

Stephanie was a wonderful host, and while the space is rather small, (I knew that going in), the French doors to the open courtyard give it a larger feel. Drinking our morning coffee out there was a nice treat. (Tip: Coffee packets are provided for the in-room coffee maker, but if you're an espresso/latte person like me, Red Bee Coffee is nearby and very good.) My husband, daughter, and myself were in the area to visit my son for his birthday and after doing an escape room in town, he came back to hang out with us for a little while before heading back to SLO. When Stephanie brought the air mattress for my daughter, she saw my son was also with us and brought extra muffins and bottled waters. I thought that was very thoughtful of her.

The whole place was absolutely lovely. The courtyard was wonderful. It was really well decorated and cohesive with the room. The list of places to go were well thought out and helpful. The best part of the stay were Margo and Luna, super friendly gorgeous cats.

How fortunate are we, this was our third stay at Dennis and Deirdre’s place! The house is perched on a hill providing extensive views of the central coast landscape. You will be blown away when you walk through the front door and see how luxurious the home is. Whomever is responsible for making your reservation will be a hero for your group. The house was again immaculate (and I’m sure you will notice there is no cleaning fee). I could go on and on, but believe me your stay here will be an experience you won’t soon forget! This is my second time staying at Deirdre's place. The first time was with my 86 year old mama. We were there on business, and Deirdre was so sweet to let us check in early. The home is so warm and lovely, and very inviting. And Deirdre is a superb and gracious super host. If you need anything, she is there at a moments notice. This time I came with my fiance for my birthday. This was a special romantic getaway. She had such a sweet gift for my birthday in the fridge. She is so thoughtful and caring for everyone's needs. The house is equipped with everything! It's spotless, and has some very nice special touches! The spacious grounds and exquisite views will blow you away. Deirdre's place is a 5 star Air B&B. You won't be disappointed!! :)

Wow! The pictures don’t do this place justice. The pics are great but the place is even better in person. Amazing views from the expansive back area and living room. At night you can see so many stars, even the milky way! No A/C but you really don’t need it with the cross breeze and ceiling fans (and we were there during a heat wave). If you use both bedrooms , there is tons of privacy between the two. We had an early riser in one and a late rise in the other and it was perfectly quiet. The hosts, Dennis and Deirdre, were so responsive and helpful. Check out Deirdre’s visitor’s guide for awesome suggestions. This place is rural but only 10 minutes to great food, grocery stores. Pismo Beach is 15 min away and SLO is only 20-25 min away. Close and easy access to the freeway. You won’t regret staying here.
