“Ute Trail and Aspen Mountain is a hard hike. It's approximately 1.2 miles to the Scenic overlook and its about 2 more miles up Aspen mountain. The whole hike can take anywhere depending on your skill level from 1.30-3.5 hours to the top of Aspen mountain. There is blue grass music on Sundays and YOU CAN RIDE THE GONDOLA DOWN! ”

“This is a steep trail that packs a punch for a quick workout in nature without too many other hikers around. It takes 1 1/2 hrs to get to the top pullout to the left where there are beautiful views of the valley but if you want a longer hike/trailrun, it keeps going and flattens out to take you all the way to Aspen. ”

“The description of a perfect ski mountain is right there in the name. Snowmass is covered with perfect Colorado powder, and massive enough to offer up every type of terrain from serene to extreme. Twenty-one speedy lifts (but rarely lift lines) deliver you to more than 3,300 acres of snowsports smorgasbord, including 94 trails totaling 150 miles which vary from cruisers to cliff bands, plus three terrain parks and pipes all at Aspen Snowmass. Seven on-mountain restaurants offer places to pause and rest, which you’ll need after trails that stretch as long as five miles. World Extreme Skiing Champion (and local) Chris Davenport, says, “Snowmass has some of the best steeps, cliffs, couloirs, backcountry, terrain parks, and powder anywhere in North America.” And he’s skied all of North America. Recently, Snowmass was voted one of the top ski areas in the Western US by Ski Magazine.”
