“Located on the 26 and 11 in Vedado, It’s the best night cultural proposal in La Havana. There is always something new to do, theater, jazz, contemporary dance, concerts, DJ's, exhibitions or intranet chatting. The best of all, all of this can take place in one night, while taking a glass of wine and eating delicious 'tapas'. Visit this place, a new Oxygen in Havana!”

“It is worth taking a taxi and enjoying a very authentic live music program in an environment away from the habanero tourist earthquake. Every night there are excellent performances of the best bands of the country, of different styles such as jazz, son, salsa or Cuban timba, among many others”

“Known as one of the hottest cabaret shows in the world, the Tropicana Nightclub Show is a world-famous spectacle set in a lush, tropical open-air venue that bursts with colorful lights, glitter, and glam. Salsa-charged and sensual, it’s a must-do activity during any trip to Havana Cuba. This is one of the top things most tourists want to do in Havana. Performers’ gaudy, feathered costumes are spectacles in and of themselves, but it’s the show as a whole that leaves you floored. Tickets are a bit pricey -— roughly $85 USD per person -— but include a welcome drink and cigar. We had a great night there!”

“It is a forest in the same Havana, in the outskirts where it seems that time has stopped with that vegetation and those trees so characteristic and typical of the area, really a good place to rest, make some good photos and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Address: Almendares River and 23 Avenue, Havana, Cuba.”

Aquarium
“The Acuario Nacional de Cuba opened on January 23, 1960, with just 13 fish tanks in place, but it gave visitors the opportunity to see several fish and sea invertebrate creatures. The number of tanks increased, giving room to new species until 1973, a year that was marked by the arrival of Silvia, a seal that became the most popular creature among visitors. Later, in the 80s, a show was introduced with two dolphins, Diana and Ciclón.”

Theatre
“The Karl Marx Theatre is a theatre in Havana, Cuba, formerly known as the Teatro Blanquita, and renamed after the Cuban Revolution of 1959. The venue has an enormous auditorium, with seating capacity of 5500 people, and is generally used for big shows by stars from Cuba and abroad”

“Don Cangrejo’s popularity has grown over the last few years, and now the weekend party crowd of beautiful Cubans pack this outdoor, oceanside bar. The way to play it is to get ice, Cokes and a bottle of Havana Club Especial to share with friends – when you’re not busy dancing that is. This place has a lot of character - it’s right next to the sea, and the dancefloor is in fact a huge covered swimming pool. Make sure you’re there early, otherwise you’ll join the crowd in the line-up outside rather than the crowd on the dance floor inside. The music is provided by great live musicians playing contemporary fusion music. The likes of Kelvis Ochoa, Leoni Torres or QVA Libre ensure the dancefloor.”

Bar
$$
“This place consists of an ample terrace, small bar and various inside rooms to a comfortable Miramar mansion. The outdoor deck has been set up with tables and bar stools in a bar rather than restaurant style. Table service is excellent, the bar can be a bit annoying since beers are in a different place to cocktails but I am sure they will work it out. They do periodically have live music here but really this is either a pre or post party place. Relax, enjoy the good music, and try some of the excellent tapas and do some people watching. Address: Calle 10, entre 5ta y 31, Miramar.”

“Sangri-La is located in the basement of a Miramar mansion up on 21st Avenue (&42nd street) which is a little way off the usual beaten track. The fact that the exterior is not as beautiful as your 5ta Avenida locations should not put you off, your car will be fine outside and inside this is more akin to a Cuban yuppy bar than a working man’s club. The crowd that comes here is the same one that will make it to Fontana and Melem later. This is the Havana Farándula. There are booths all around the outside, which make a comfortable place to get snacks (or even a full dinner). Address: Avenida 21, Entre Calle 36 y 42, Miramar. Phone: (+53)5264 - 8343.”
