Top bar recommendations from locals

Bar
“Enjoy some live entertainment, a beautiful pint and weather permitting a HUGE patio. There are approximately 22 draft taps and additional bottle selections. The kitchen offers an ever-evolving menu - so you will never be bored or run out of options to tantalize the taste buds. There are kilted folk about every where, and they serve up a bit of sass in good fun (unless you happen to be misbehaving - wink wink)”

“The atmosphere here is unique--part book library, gift shop, coffee house, with live music in the evenings. But, come for the food! Many vegan and vegetarian offerings to go with nearly every kind of coffee and tea beverage.”

Meal Takeaway
“This is the most beautiful place to eat in Port Huron. You can sit inside or outside on the patio while watching the picturesque freighters go by under the Blue Water Bridges. Freighters is located at the mouth of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. The scenery is exceptional, the food is good, and the service is average. ”

“Another beautifully located restaurant that offers an aerial view of the St. Clair River and Black River. They offer upscale dining in a casual atmosphere. They have an extensive wine list and unique dishes. Their dill pickle soup is my personal favorite. ”

“The feel of this place is just marvelous. It really feels like a pub. It's spacious and I adore the atmosphere here. They have an interesting menu that makes genuine attempts to be Irish themed. They have a full list of specialty drinks and craft beers for the millennials among you. I'll always be game to go here with any friend or family member. ”

“This is our favorite restaurant in the area but it is quirky - it's only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm to 12 am. And it's cash only (there's a cash machine located in the back of the bar). Located in downtown Port Huron, it just oozes with great ambience. They have the nicest wait staff, a full bar and a short but excellent, tasty menu. There puzzavis thin and divine (our fave is Pear & Brie) and the hamburger sliders are excellent. ”

“This is one of those places that you should not judge a book by its cover. Outside looks like a small, dingy dive with a carry-out window at the back. Inside is a super clean, retro diner with some killer chicken at a great price!”
