  • We were delayed in our travel to Nan's Nook but nevertheless were received and warmly welcomed by our hosts when we arrived around midnight. They welcomed us, showed us our room, bathroom, etc., offered us something to drink. We chatted briefly despite the hour and then retired. The following morning we sat down on the terrace by the pool to a sumptuous breakfast and to some good conversation with our hosts. It was a wonderful start to our vacation experience. We came just to spend a night on our way to the eastern seaboard, but regretted that we did not have more time to say in the Port Burwell area.

  • Great hosts in a beautiful location. Close to beach, local shops and forest trails. Lovely house, felt like a home away from home.

  • Nans Nook was a sweet and quaint true Bed and Breakfast! We had a wonderful stay, it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience, and felt like another world where time goes by more slowly. It was exactly what we needed to get away from the hubbub of daily life:) breakfast was served daily with a view of the pool and was bountiful and filling, and Graham and Anne were the perfect company, very friendly and helpful, but otherwise respected our space. We would definitely recommend !

  • Nan's Nook was a delightful bed and breakfast to stay at! Grahame and Ann were gracious hosts, and they also have the cutest dog. They were very accommodating with our baby as well. Breakfast was delicious! We chatted with Grahame and Ann for a long time, and they made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

  • Grahame & Ann are a very sweet couple. We loved how relaxed and laid-back they made our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer! We slept good and loved our breakfast by the pool. We also really enjoyed the tour of the submarine! What an adorable little town - we will definitely be back, and would love to stay with Grahame and Ann again! -Vanessa & Paul

  • Our stay at Nature’s Oasis was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing, romantic getaway for my birthday weekend. The location is beautiful, the house is comfortable and inviting, and Nikki and Steve were both amazing to us. They both made sure our needs were met, encouraging us to both engage with them and the property, and were both sociable and respectful of our privacy. Couldn’t suggest this location more to young couples, families, or anyone that needs a break from the city or just a personal getaway. We hope to come back soon!

    Teneisha2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki & Steve are incredibly warm and thoughtful hosts. Between personal tours of the bush on their 63 acres, hours of playing in the pool and sharing lovely, homemade meals, they felt like instant friends. We look forward to a return visit in the winter.

    Courtney2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time here. Nikki and Steve were exceptional hosts. We had access to everything we needed and more. This place is a peaceful oasis with beautiful scenery and positive vibes. Family friendly and pet friendly are just a bonus!

    Nick2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed two relaxing days at Nature's Oasis, hosted by Nikki & Steve. They are great hosts, readily available to answer questions and provide whatever we might need. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a great view of the trees and ponds on their property. A dip in their indoor salt water pool was a wonderful treat in the morning. Bacon and eggs for breakfast one day and pancakes the next was delicious. We felt at home in this expansive custom-built house!

    Diana2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki and Steve are fantastic, as is their beautiful home. Nature’s Oasis Retreat is truly a one of a kind destination. Nikki and Steve were both so welcoming and made us feel like their home was ours. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The yard is exceptional and the tour of the trails through the bush with Steve was a great time. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we could ask for, and then some. Breakfast was delicious too! And we can’t forget about Diesel the dog and Honkers the goose, both are awesome company. We can’t wait to visit again.

    Vincent2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and we are more than pleased with our experience. Nikki and Steve were so nice and welcoming and made us feel at home. Definitely recommend and will go back!

    Marie2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great weekend getaway. It really was a “nature oasis”! We were greeted by an amazing family of four, that welcome us into their home and gave us a tour of the home and property! We were able to tour the property by golf cart afterwards, and meet honker the Chinese goose!!! Loved that we could jump into the salt water pool just steps away from our room, or enjoy the hot tub! Our breakfast was delicious and was a great way to end our weekend away. We just loved this experience and hope to be back soon!

    Cory2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki and Steve have such an amazing home which we are so happy they shared with us. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They have amazing landscaping, ponds filled with wildlife, and the option to kayak. The property has endless trails which they drove us through in their kubota. My personal favorite was the indoor salt water pool & hot tub. The ammedities were very accommodating to our family including our one year old son. Perfect place for a family getaway or a romantic trip. We were so pleased with their hospitality. We wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to return before the summer ends - we have already reccomend to our friends.

Built in 1850 this 167 year old Church has gone under recent extensive renovations to convert it to Residential use and recently was permitted and inspected in 2017 for Bed and Breakfast by the Municipality of Bayham. This beautiful, quiet setting nestled on a hill in Vienna is only 5 minutes from the beach in Port Burwell and 8 minutes from Port Burwell Provincial Park. There's ample space outside to sun or sit in the shade or by a fire at night.
This room is located in the choir loft overlooking the open concept kitchen, living room.
    Quiet family oriented area.
  • We had a wonderful stay. Timothy and his wife are super easy to talk to, ready to offer anything we needed, and even got us an anniversary card! We had a great time in Vienna and at the beach in Port Burwell.

    Andrea2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy's place really is an amazing refurbish of an old church. It's a great value and they are wonderful hosts. I was only there one night, but if I need to be in the area for longer I definitely will choose this one again.

    Jon And Satya2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We travelled as a family unit and rented 3 of Tim's rooms.. You can read my earlier review. The one thing I forgot to mention in that first review is that the pictures truly reflect the wonderful B&B that awaits you.

Perfect for MedStudents (or anyone doing placement). My place is close to the highway (401 and 402), 20-minute drive to Western University, UH Hospital and Victoria Hospital. Perfect if you have a short or long-stay at any of those. Minimum 3-night stay.
You have the bedroom, private bathroom (might be shared if someone in the other room) kitchenette, fridge, sitting area, free parking, free wifi - wow!!
This is a beautifully treed and green area of London and the house is set on a quiet street with many mature trees. It is also conveniently located to major roads, the university, highways and the two hospitals in town.
  • Joy's place was very clean and exactly as described. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone.

    anitha2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Joy's was excellent. Joy was a very gracious and attentive host. She made sure I had everything I needed and made herself available if I had any questions or lacked for anything. The house is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, walking distance to grocery stores, public transport and restaurants. I highly recommend Joy's place and would willingly return if I need home away home in London, ON.

    Deniz2017-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Joy had a private room for rent in the basement with a heater to offset the subzero temperatures. The whole space was clean and quiet with a handy desk area. She shared some kitchen appliances which I appreciated. A parking space on the driveway was made available.

    Wil2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Joy was a lovely host. Her place is nice & clean. I stayed in one of the two guest bedrooms downstairs which was newly renovated. Upstairs on the main floor, which is nice and bright, there is a beautiful backyard that you can go out to and enjoy. Every other week her kids come stay. All 3 boys are incredibly well mannered, smart and funny. Actually found myself really enjoying their company not wanting to leave. And opt in for her dinners (about $5 each) on those weeks cos delish! Would be good for students for longer term stays as per her listing. In safe suburban area and nearby stores for everyday shopping needs. And a Tim Hortons! I would stay there again if available.

    Kat2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I lived with Joy for 7 months. During the entire stay, I enjoyed a lovely atmosphere and a clean and welcoming space. I could always ask Joy and her family for advice and felt like included in the family. They were really open-minded but also respected my privat sphere. My space was clean and well equipped. She is also interested in the guests opinion what she could improve. The location might be a bit far away from downtown but therefore, you can enjoy a very nice and quiet neighbourhood where everyone greets you. I can really recommend this place to everyone.

    Daniel2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • "Clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. The host was friendly and on top of all communications, and the listing was as described. I recommend this location."

  • Joy's place was a wonderful stay. She was easy to communicate with, responding right away. Her place was comfortable and very clean. It had everything I needed for a night away. She was very welcoming and friendly, but gave me space to do my own thing. I'll definitely be back!

This room is in the second floor of the house. The washroom would be shared with another room that is also listed on airbnb. The kitchen is shared with the other guest and my mom. My mom lives in the house and keeps it clean. The house is located close to the university hospital, windermere manor, UWO and Masonville Mall. The bus route in front of our house is 34 Medway. For longer stays, there would be room available in the kitchen and fridge for the guests.
  • A great spot to get your rest. Mirna, Johanna's mother, was so friendly and accomodating- I would stay with her again any day.

    Danielle2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • My experiences in Johanna & her mom Myrna's place will be unforgettable. The house itself was cozy and beautiful, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but what I liked the most was Myrna's smile. I did appreciate her warm, welcoming personality, not to mention her freshly-made breakfast. I would absolutely recommend her place to anybody who is looking for a cozy room.

    Kim2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was in London for a 2-day workshop just around the corner from Myrna's home - she is located very close to all amenities - I was able to walk to my destination in the mornings. The best thing about my stay was breakfast. I contacted Johanna, her daughter, and asked about the possibility of a gluten-free breakfast. Myrna was not really sure what gluten-free was, but she rolled up her sleeves and researched, and the result was beautiful breakfasts. Myrna is from Mexico so my breakfast had a wonderful Mexican flavour: Fruit plate, corn pancakes with refried beans, spinach and an egg on the side. Delicious! The bed was comfortable and I came and went as I pleased during the day. The house is immaculately clean, and Myrna is most welcoming. Johanna is very prompt with email and text replies to any questions.

  • Beautiful home and comfy bed! I had a great stay during my rotation at University Hospital! It's within walking distance and there is a shopping center near by. I would definitely stay again!

    Claire2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Johanna's mother takes care of the place, is very friendly, shared a glass of wine and was happy to chat. Great relaxed place to stay.

    Jesse2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great room in a beautiful home. I didn't actually meet Johanna, but I did meet her wonderful mother who was extremely accommodating and a wonderfully generous host. We had great conversations over breakfast, and she made fantastic breakfast for me each day! The location was extremely convenient for me because I was in town for a conference at the University, which is right around the corner. It was a bit of a hike to get to downtown area, but a manageable walk if you like to walk, or an easy bus or taxi ride. I'd stay here again for sure.

    Ajay2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Good and clean! Very nice place, calm and good location.

    William2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This location worked wonderfully for my husband and I. Johanna was welcoming and very kind during our entire stay. The room was exactly as it was listed. It was comfortable and simple. There were two students living in the other rooms and we shared the bathroom with them but never had any issues. They were quiet which we very much appreciated. If you are driving a car, make sure you park in Johanna's driveway (right side). You will get ticketed if you park on the street. Thank you, Johanna! We had a wonderful stay!

  • Thank you for the special extra's Marion and Jeff!

  • Marion and Jeff were warm and friendly hosts. We felt welcome instantly! The room and breakfast were both amazing for the price. The double jacuzzi was an amazing way to relax after along road trip.

  • This may be a long review, so let me sum up: do yourself a favor and stay at Marion and Jeff's home as long as you're able. I've been to more than my fair share of B&Bs, AirBnBs, and all manner of accommodations on five continents, and I run the Detroit Loves You Guest Home, hosting hundreds of people around the world. So for whatever that's worth, I rate Marion's hospitality and warmth, her home's character, her gourmet breakfasts, and Bishop's Loft, the room we stayed in, all TOPS. But book fast because I'm recommending this to everyone I know because they deserve to be busy with guests year round! Right from the start Marion was in touch with my consort, Melayna, and I, making sure our upcoming stay would be nothing short of marvelous and memorable. She was particular aware of our dietary preferences (me local/vegan-ish, Melayna pescatarian-ish). Why would become apparent at our first of two gourmet, completely over the top breakfasts Marion prepared for us. Best meals we had, hands down, during our brief two nights in Port Burwell. Marion foresaw our every need and made sure we were well taken care of. Pictures of Bishop's loft only hint at the room and bathroom's splendor. Truly a dream bathroom! And Tex the Wonder Dog was a delight, as were visiting neighbor cats. We enjoyed time relaxing on the porch, walking a few blocks into town, touring the Cold War submarine, and taking in the municipal and Provincial Park beaches. Marion and Jeff's B&B is a gem within the hidden gem of Port Burwell. We very much want to come back, and when one of M & J's plays is in production. That's perhaps our only regret, other than not staying longer. Thank you so much, Marion and Jeff! It was nothing but a pleasure. We appreciate your hospitality and wish you lots of much deserved success with all your ventures <3

  • Marion and Jeff were fantastic hosts and it was a great pleasure to be fortunate to stay with them. Their place truly was one of the nicest houses I've been fortunate enough to stay in, full of character, great amenities and perfectly located a few blocks away from a well kept and fairly low key beach in the quaint town of Port Burwell. Marion and Jeff were very accommodating, supplying us with great info about things to do while in their area, plenty of attention when needed and even a beach bag full of supplies for a relaxing afternoon at the beach after we settled in. Breakfast the next day was also amazing as Marion carefully concocted a wonderfully tailor-made breakfast that was honestly one of the best I've ever had. We really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend the Bishops loft to anyone looking for a relaxing and "5-star" type of place to stay in the area.

  • This B and B went beyond our expectations. We enjoyed a quite stay in the most beautiful and inspiring loft space we've ever seen. Marion and Jeff have outdone themselves with their hosting, kindness, friendship and quality. If you like breakfast, we've never had better and we've stayed in dozens of great B and Bs. Two great beaches only a short drive in either direction. If you want young, playful and energetic - Port Stanley. If you want quite and nature, the other direction has Long Point. Or if you want to walk, Marion and Jeff will show you how to get to their local beach (which has a bit of both). I can't say enough about this place. I'd like to keep it a secret so it doesn't book up. But honestly these guys deserve a 5 star from us. We couldn't be happier. Thanks and hope to see you again soon!

  • A perfect stay! Jeff & Marion are such a lovely couple. If you want a few days at the beach or are just travelling by, we really recommend this luxurious place.

  • Thank you Marion and Jeff. You make us feel like as we are among our family. We had a really good time. We also enjoy our time on the beach. Also, our kids had a good time. Looking forward to make another time. Many regards Mohamed

  • Marion was away, so her husband Jeff took care of us. We highly recommend this place. The room was beautiful, with a high ceiling and exposed beams, a TV angled above the bed with a Roku box (Netflix, youtube, etc), closet space, and more. The on-suite washroom was even better, with a double jacuzzi, double shower (two shower heads!), and double sinks (very cute with turtles in them). A lot of custom work for sure! Very unique and memorable. I forgot my toothbrush at home and didn't even have to ask for one, as there were some right there for the taking. Our host, Jeff, was very kind and easygoing. He was there to give us tips about the area and was nice to talk to. Very approachable and personable, making his home feel like our own. We could've talked for ages, but he was very good about giving us our space (we also didn't want to bug him too much either, as he seemed like a busy guy haha). Breakfast was great! Options of cereals, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, breads, jams. In the room, there was a book with instructions for everything around the home, as well as recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Nearby, there were plenty of restaurants, as well as a few ice cream shops, and a beach. It's really a very small town vibe. I'd recommend staying here if you want to take a day trip to Long Point, as we did. (Beach was great with plenty of free parking, and kayaking on Big Creek was good too! Rent Kayaks at the bridge for only $30 for 4 hours!). Highly recommended!

We took the submarine tour downtown and really recommend it to any visitors. This experience sure made our first Airbnb booking a great success.

  • Jeff and Marion were the best hosts EVER, bar none!! They are lovely, gracious, full of energy and made us feel right at home. Marion gave us great shopping and tourism tips such as the cheese and jelly at the nearby Sweet Spot and all her restaurant suggestions were bang-on. Jeff even made a trip to a Mennonite farm to buy us a flat of eggs! We felt like we made instant friends!! We stayed at the Plumtree and hope to stay at the Bishop's Loft with the amazing Jacuzzi next time. We're wheat-free, so Marion made us two yummy breakfasts with home-made fresh gluten-free muffins, eggs and bacon the first day and gluten-free bread and waffles and sausage the next. Marion even went out of her way to make chocolate chip meringues that were gluten-free. Boy, did we feel spoiled! We'll definitely be back as soon as we can. Thanks again, Jeff and Marion!

  • Marion and Jeff are like our long lost family :) They made us feel so welcome in their home, prepared us a great breakfast, lent us their beach gear... all while we bonded over speaking Spanish, travels, music (there was dancing and singing too, all before 10 am!). We hope to be back again!! Oh, and their place is fantastic :)

  • This place is awesome. Yes, the amenities are just as advertised and yes, you can't beat the location for accessing Rondeau Park, but it was the hosts that made the stay. Great breakfasts and even better company. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Bye The Bay.

  • Dale and Brock were the sweetest hosts. We had to arrive late from Toronto and it was no problem with them. Breakfast was amazing and they were wonderful hosts. The room was fantastic. We loved the log cabin feel, the great view, and the proximity to the beach!

    Katie2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved it here! Dale and Brock were so sweet and accommodating. It's the perfect location, so close to Rondeau Park and Erieau. Close to Chatham to visit family. The prefect little getaway. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

    Danielle2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • A truly incredible stay. Dale and Brock helped us get settled in. They were both very friendly and informative. Dale provided us with wonderful restaurant and recreation recommendations. She even helped us print new zoo tickets when we realized we left them at home. In the morning, Dale cooked a spread of delicious homemade items including a breakfast bake and muffins. She also provided fresh local peaches, tomatoes from her garden, cereal, blueberries, yogurt, and much more.  The log cabin provided all the amenities you could need and then some. We stayed in the Flicker apartment which had walk out access to a beautiful backyard and patio. Lots of chairs and areas to lounge, bird, and enjoy the scenery. The landscaping is truly remarkable. You can really tell that Dale and Brock take pride in the cabin. Dale and Brock really treated us like family. I highly recommend staying at Bye the Bay to everyone.

    Brandon2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dale played a wonderful host. It was as though we were welcomed into their family for the weekend. We stayed at Flicker Bye the Bay. The house is beautiful - the rooms are well kept; neat and tidy. The ambiance was just perfect for our weekend get -away. Breakfast was ready in their warm and cozy kitchen. The pancakes were awesome! We highly recommend this place if you would like a lazy weekend by the shade of woods and waters!

  • Amazing getaway close to Rondeau, walking trails and Greenveiw Aviaries! Very quiet and peaceful.

  • Amazing location! Best hosts! Would definitely book here again.

    Ivonne2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dale was very welcoming. Everything was ready and waiting for us when we arrived, even though we were a bit delayed. She told us where to go and we had the best time exploring different areas of Rondeau. The best part of the trip was cycling to the provincial park just before sunset. Couldn't have had a more relaxing, enjoyable night out of Toronto. We would definitely come back again :)

  • Amazing weekend getaway. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Nikki and Steve were great hosts, super friendly and their 2 daughters we met were adorable. They made us feel like we were at home. They have a wonderful property, and gave us a full tour upon arrival. I got to pet a Chinese goose (i think that’s what it was) and their horses! We will definitely come back here for a weekend getaway.

    Sarah2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki and Steve’s place completely encompasses why we LOVE staying at B&B’s. With the amenities of a five star hotel, the views of a gorgeous landscape, AND the company of such a lovely family, my husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. In fact, we were sad we only booked for one night! We wished we had had more time to explore their expansive property and hiking trails and if the weather had been better, Steve offered us a golf cart to tour around with! The house comes with an incredible story behind it, which they were happy to share with us over a delicious breakfast (their sweet kids brought us coffee!). The family suite is perfect for a family with kids or two couples to share and the hot tub and indoor pool were the icing on the cake! We felt ridiculously spoiled! If you’re looking for a true retreat THIS IS IT!!!

    Shannon2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nature's Oasis was above and beyond our expectations. About an hour away from home, this was the perfect spot for a mini-getaway with another couple. From the warm welcome from Nikki and Steve and the goose, to the home tour and golf cart exploring, to the campfire and late night swim - we felt so welcomed and at home. Even with no intentions of spending time with anyone but ourselves, I think my favorite part was meeting the other guests and sharing stories over snacks, wine, and the fire. Cherry on top? Breakfast! The couple we were staying with is engaged and have actually been considering coming back and having their wedding at this dreamy spot. I certainly would enjoy visiting again.

    Alyssa2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place, with very gracious hosts. The pool, hot tub and grounds were amazing, and our room was spacious and modern. An excellent place to stay!

    Cheryl2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki and Steve were MORE than accommodating to our group from the minute I messaged them inquiring about the property! As soon as we arrived we received a personal tour of their property, with little intimate details to really make us feel comfortable! It truly felt like we were family friends visiting and not just just strangers coming to spend the night. Steve took us on a trail ride where we got to drive our own golf cart - which was super neat, we don’t get those experiences in the city! He showed us his amazing 86 acre property, and all the fine things it included (6 horses, 8 ponds, DOMESTIC geese that we were able to pet, and much more)! We were blown away by the property and it’s beauty. After the tour of outside both Nikki and Steve actually gave us a tour of their personal space, and all the cool facts about the house and prior owner...that was really the cherry on top. Immaculate house, extreme design and cool factor...indoor pool, hot tub and sauna.. and not to mention that your area is completely renovated with brand new everything. Awesome showers, great beds...huge TVs if you do somehow want to take a nature break! This place was incredible! We are still at a loss for words with the overall experience- a huge thanks to Nikki and Steve for everything! Lighting our bon fire and making us the most delicious breakfast, with the help of your adorable children all made everything more comfortable and enjoyable! They even allowed both of our dogs to come spend the night there with us, and it was a total blast! The dogs obviously loved the open space and couldn’t get enough of their dog Diesel! Thank you for giving us the ultimate city escape and making us feel part of the family!! Will definitely stay again and recommend!!

    Silver2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot with lots or relaxing options! Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Lindsey2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! The cats pajamas, the bees knees! Nikki and Steve were SUPER friendly and accomodating. They answered all the queations we had and had a very cool surprise with the chinese geese! The property is amazing, The location is perfect and the ammenities wwre awesome. Though we didnt go for the 5 star golf cart tour we walked around and fished for a little in the pond and pet the horses. Id highly recommend this and will definately be going back! Thanks again Nikki and Steve! It was a pleasure

  • Staying with Grahame and Anne was such a great pleasure. They have beautiful rooms, they are right by the lake, they are clean, and make a wonderful breakfast. They are wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. It was a lovely experience. A great place for a quiet get away. Thank you both!

  • We spent 2 nights in Ann&Notman's house. It was such a beautiful place, located right in front of lake Erie. Ann and Notman were both very kind and gentle. We enjoyed the stay very much :) The house is very beautiful, even better than the pictures, with a nice pool. Rooms are decorated elegantly and were very neat. We were told Ann, actually an artist, did most of the interior and decoration by herself. Me and two other friends enjoyed barbecue and swimming during the stay. Also there are many things to do within 30 minutes drive, including wineries, farms, fruit market, etc. We'd love to stay here again. Best wishes for Ann and Notman :)

  • Enjoyed my stay. The hosts are very nice. We shared bathroom with 2 other rooms but it didn't bother us much. The bathroom and the room were very clean. Was happy to find out the breakfast was included. There are pets in the house so be aware if you have allergies. Both pets are friendly though and I have no issues with them whatsoever. Highly reccomend.

    Sabina2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Graham and Ann were wonderful hosts, sharing their local knowledge and history of the area. Breakfast on the patio was lovely. This is a nice jumping off spot to visit all the local port towns on Lake Erie.

  • Great experience at Port Burwell, very close to the beach and restaurants. Ann and Grahame were lovely hosts and we felt like we were staying with family. Beautiful pool onsite and the breakfast was wonderful.

This room is located in the choir loft overlooking the large open concept living room, kitchen, dining room.
Quiet setting nestled on a hill with large Black Walnut trees for shade.
  • The Church in Vienna is a beautiful, spacious place with lofty ceilings and big, bright windows. The kitchen area is large and well stocked with a continental breakfast. The host, Tim, is very friendly and he and his partner, Lisette, keep the place very clean. It's also a five minute drive from Pt. Burwell's fantastic beach. If you're a light sleeper, like, me, it's not a very sound proof building and you may find yourself awake from the noises made by the hosts and other guests. Overall, the Church in Vienna is a unique, special place to stop and stay when you're in the Bayham area.

    Marcée2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The photos do not do this listing justice...the Church in Vienna is an amazing find. The building itself is older than Canada! Those cedar beams -- you have to see it to believe it. We were wowed by how historically rich this place is. Timothy and Lisette have done a wonderful job converting the space into a bnb, and we felt very welcomed and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Communication was great, they're a very friendly couple, and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests. The thoughtful touches and relaxed atmosphere have got us wanting to come back already. Thanks for having us!

    Michele2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This couple are great; very welcome and kind. They helped us have a better visit of the region by giving us good information. Everything was new and clean and sleeping in a church from 1850, was a great experience as well. You can stay there and discover a very beautiful region, from beaches to hiking trails. We loved everything and we recommend this place, those nice hosts and that amazing region.

    Leila2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • They are super host, very easy going people, very welcoming, like old good Friends. The place is very very clean, we feel like home, in a place...unique and so beautiful, it was a Church!. We had all we wants for breakfast and Lisette gave us granola bars for the road! It was really appreciate. They are open Mind people, to talk about anything. The beaches are very close from the church, there is a naval Museum close by where you can visit the submarine Ojibwa the real one during Cold War. We will be back next year , it is really a must! Danielle and Yvan From Beauharnois Québec

    Yvan2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless clean... Room, kitchen, bathroom - furniture and appliances new! Super nice host... I will go back soon! Wonderful, scenic area with good hilly roads for cycling...

    Cristian2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy graciously accepted our same day request, and made sure all of our needs were met. Their redevelopment of this old church is wonderful and smart. As another reviewer mentioned, the pictures do not do justice to the work they have put into their home, and how welcoming it is to guests. We hope to visit again, and again.

The Bluewater Bridge is within an hour drive. Once on site we are are 45 minutes from Stratford and the theaters, Bayfield and the quaint shops there. The Huron County Playhouse, Pinery Provincial Park, the beaches of Lake Huron, Rock Glen conservation area (fossil hunting) and London are all within a short 30 minute drive.

  • Allan and Diane are fabulous hosts. Their home is beautiful, immaculate and very well located. Our bedroom was extremely cosy and the place very quiet. We walked to the quaint village and to the local pub where we enjoyed the outdoor patio and had some local fish. Also, there is a fantastic ice cream store on the main street. We spent the day at the Long Point provincial park, just 10mns drive from the AirBnB. It's definitely a place we recommend and we will come back in the near future.

    Francois2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I stayed with Allan and Diane for two weekend nights and had a superb experience. The location worked for us as we visited locally on the Friday and then did an easy loop up to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake. The studio apartment we had was clean, comfortable, bed was fantastic, even the sofa bed was great. We both slept very well. Linens and towels provided were comfy. But everything paled in comparison to Diane's quiche for breakfast!! Amazing. We are looking for an excuse to go back and visit. Would highly recommend to any looking for a nice quiet get away with wonderful hosts.

    Trevor2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely, charming, and unique place to stay in Ontario. I can't say enough good things about our time here. We have three girls and Katie took time out of her day to let them explore and hang out with the goats, something we don't get to do in our lives in the city. Such a valuable experience for the kids to experience something new and exciting. They all cried on the car ride home over having to say goodbye to those sweet goats :) The hosts are incredibly generous and breakfast was really something special with locally made maple syrup, fresh baked bread and muffins, and local berries. The house is gorgeous and inviting, even with three kids we were able to really soak in the charm and relax. If you are looking for something unique, this is the place. Everything was perfect and we wish them lots of luck with the amazing things they are doing with their property. Will stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Katie was an absolutely wonderful host! She was so organized and her home was extraordinarily clean. She's extremely prompt with her responses and a great cook! We really enjoyed our stay in her lovely home! Highly highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

  • When we walked into our suite, our jaws dropped; it was so far above our expectations. Attention to what travellers may need is outstanding. Katie and her husband were charming and welcoming (and we came when they were in the middle of harvesting). Arrangements for our arrival were clear and flexible. The house is architecturally interesting. The tractor collection was a bonus. Strathroy itself is worth a stroll round - people there were friendly, and there is a good range of restaurants.

    Mike2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay with Katie and Matt! Their home is of the late 18th century and everything was so lovely, clean and fresh; peppered with beautiful antiques. Our suite was so cute and very large. It was like having our own little apartment. The separate sitting area was complete with a TV unit. All windows had the view of the tree lined property. We slept with the windows open and felt the wonderful fresh clean air. The animals were a bonus to feel and touch and sitting on the porch with our coffee was so relaxing. Our breakfast was served by Katie, who is so lovely and sweet. She even went out of her way to make me homemade vegan bread, vegan muffins and vegan granola!! There were little mini quiche/tomatoes, fresh fruits and jams. All of this you would never get at a hotel...I loved our stay and cannot thank them enough for making it so special.

  • Beautiful! My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary here and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The property is beautiful, Katie is probably the most welcoming host I've ever met, and the breakfast in the morning was DELICIOUS. Fresh made bread, blueberry muffins, yogurt, fruits, shortbread...the list goes on. It was the perfect getaway!

  • We needed a place to stay en route to Montreal. The Caradoc was in a perfect location for us. We got in late, it was easy to find, and check in was super easy. The rooms were clean and lovely, the bed was on the firm side. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and Katie was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • We had a wonderful time there. Katie advertises a Continental Breakfast. It was more of a gourmet breakfast!! The house was very clean and decorated beautifully. One of our favorite things was the barn tour to see the animals. Katie was a gracious host.

  • Our stay with Martha and Larry was fabulous! We felt very welcomed the minute we walked in the door. This is a true Bed and Breakfast on a beautiful country property -- pond, pool, loungers and amazing willow trees! The pictures do not do the house/bed rooms justice. Martha was a fabulous communicator prior to and during our stay. An amazing homemade breakfast was prepared in the morning -- so yummy! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Thanks again Martha and Larry!

  • This bed and breakfast is nestled on a quiet street and beautiful property. The hosts make you feel at home with morning coffee, sumptuous breakfast and late day tea. Unlike some bed and breakfasts that feel stiff and too formal, this one is both nicely appointed and decorated, but in way that makes one feel comfortable and like they're at home. If you are in the London, Strathroy area of Ontario, this is worth a stay.
