Thai Restaurant

“Pok Pok, back in 2005, started as a little take out space. We thought, oh, I wonder if that will make it. Now, some 14 years later, Pok Pok is it's own little Thai food kingdom, with four Portland restaurants and one in Los Angeles. The food shines, the waits can be long, and it's the kind of place that's made Portland become what people know it to be today. Pok Pok located on SE Division is the original Pok Pok serving SE Asia street and pub food, mostly centered on North and NE Thailand. If you are on the waitlist, you can enjoy appetizers and beverages at their across the street location, Whiskey Soda Lounge, located kitty-corner from Pok Pok. Their hosts happily coordinate between the two locations. Hours 11:30am-10pm”

Botanical Garden
“This famous Portland garden has over 10,000 rose bushes of approximately 650 varieties. The roses bloom from April through October with the peak coming in June, depending on the weather. New rose cultivars are continually sent to the garden from many parts of the world and are evaluated on several characteristics, including disease resistance, bloom formation, color, and fragrance. It is the oldest continuously operating public rose test garden in the United States and exemplifies Portland's nickname, "City of Roses".”

“American fast-food style burger in a bar/restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Most pubs in the neighborhood offer good, hefty burgers with plenty of dressings, this is a simpler, slightly smaller one, but solid and satisfying. This restaurant is attached to the lovely Mississippi Studios music venue.”
