Art Museum
“My favorite! Been a member for years and even a docent at one time. Permanent collections and a special exhibit room that changes frequently - look it up; you won't be disappointed. ”

Seafood Restaurant

“You've probably already heard of Eventide because it's the most highly rated place in Portland, in this case believe the hype. There will most likely be a long wait, so prepare for that before you go, it's worth it. If you're visiting in the off season and visit at unusual hours you may get lucky enough to be seated immediately (it's happened to us a couple of times). You must try the brown butter lobster roll, you won't regret it. They also have a killer late night happy hour if you need a bite after drinking in the Old Port.”

“Great place for bagels. People literally drop from all over and buy them by the trash bag to throw in their freezer.”

Park
“Home of Portland Headlight, the most photographed lighthouse in the world. Many walking trails, and old forts to go through with a small beach area and photo ops aplenty as this is on a rocky coastline with Portland Headlight as the main attraction. This park offers sledding in the winter time, concerts and a childrens garden. Open sunrise to sunset.”

“An excellent combination of fine local dining with a larger than average layout and a more relaxed vibe. We often take groups here. It's a bit easier to get in, but it's probably worth calling ahead if you're inclined.”

“"Conventional" grocery store with large selection of natural and organic products. Good produce selection. Lobsters. Not the same as buying them on the waterfront but it's easy.”
