Art Gallery
“The Portsmouth floodwall has been transformed into a chronological history of the area. Beginning on the East end of the wall with depictions of some of the prehistoric inhabitants and the works they left behind and progressing to the exploration of explorers and the early villages. Many aspects of the community and its history are included and quite accurately portrayed.”

“This Irish themed pub (I'm not sure how authentic) has a decent offering of imported beers on tap and a hefty selection of liqueurs. They have a limited menu, but it would be a great place for lunch or a light, early dinner (the menu is not my favorite, but you might like it). On occasion, you will find live music (karaoke, open mic, and professional bands) and other fun activities. ”

Food
“Ice Cream shop with very affordable food. Get the foot-long hot dog with chili sauce (with slaw, if you want it West Virginia style)! My favorite frozen treat is the rainbow sherbet (or sherbeRt, if you're from the Appalachian foothills). This place is within comfortable walking distance. Take your sweet treats to the river bank and enjoy the beautiful sunset! ”
