“This is literally one of our favorite dinner places in Downtown Raleigh. LAOS’ DYNAMIC CUISINE REFLECTS THE COUNTRY’S INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE, ITS CULTURE OF GENEROSITY, AND ITS FRENCH COLONIAL PAST. LAO CUISINE IS A FLAVORFUL MARRIAGE OF THAI, VIETNAMESE, AND CHINESE COOKING REFINED BY FRENCH TECHNIQUE.”

Contemporary diner with retro charm from an acclaimed chef
“Macaroni is a MUST! Owned by a James Beard award winning chef! Perfect for dinner or weekend brunch but expect a wait! Does not accept reservations. ”

“Another Raleigh hot spot for great house brewed beers! Best for lunch, the space is small and the seating is limited, fills up in the evening quick! Dog friendly outdoor seating and mean flatbread pizza! Brews to try here would be the Cloud Surfer IPA the Trophy Wife IPA, as well as the Trophy Husband Whitbier. For a fruity beer, I quite liked the Mango they had on tap. For the ZA, best strategy is to order smaller pizzas so you can mix and share slices. If you like a little spice, the "Daredevil" ghost pepper salami pizza will get you sniffling, but the "Indoor Kid" with white sauce, provolone, and marinated artichokes is my personal favorite. ”

“Small neighborhood bar next to Yellow Dog bakery. The bar looks small when you enter but has a back outdoor seating area. Nice hangout on pleasant evening. Also, it has some fun pinball and bar games.”

Steakhouse

“This is THE iconic steakhouse in the RTP area!!! It is a bit pricey, but you won't be disappointed. Well decorated and highly praised. Live music via a pianist on the top floor in the bar's lounge. Special diner prices if you eat in that area. Celebrations are a normal occurance there. They supply a free mini pound cake for your birthday or anniversary that is awesome. They are also well known for their award winning "Chess Pie". Yum! I would suggest making reservations!”

“If you are looking for a really lively jazz bar right in the heart of Raleigh, C.Grace is your hot spot. The bartenders are highly skilled mixologists. (Best Whisky Sour, ever!) The live music is superb and you will find your happy party place here. You will thank me.”

“THIS JUST IN: The new brewmaster here is from Big Boss beer, so the beer has gotten really great. New owners so Boylan Bridge Brewpub is on the up and UP! The food will be improving as they're hiring a new chef SOON. This is great news for our neighborhood... you can walk here in about 10 minutes, just at the top of our neighborhood. Side-note: the outside patio is the IT place to go in the summer and boasts the best skyline views of Raleigh from the bridge.”

“One of our ultimate favorites. Modern Indian meets Asian. Freaking delicious - though we like to go early, it gets loud inside the later it gets. ”
