Asian Restaurant

“This is literally one of our favorite dinner places in Downtown Raleigh. LAOS’ DYNAMIC CUISINE REFLECTS THE COUNTRY’S INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE, ITS CULTURE OF GENEROSITY, AND ITS FRENCH COLONIAL PAST. LAO CUISINE IS A FLAVORFUL MARRIAGE OF THAI, VIETNAMESE, AND CHINESE COOKING REFINED BY FRENCH TECHNIQUE.”

“Not your typical fried chicken. Owner just won the highly prestigious National James Beard award in 2019. Highly recommend the chicken and honey.”

“Another Raleigh hot spot for great house brewed beers! Best for lunch, the space is small and the seating is limited, fills up in the evening quick! Dog friendly outdoor seating and mean flatbread pizza! Brews to try here would be the Cloud Surfer IPA the Trophy Wife IPA, as well as the Trophy Husband Whitbier. For a fruity beer, I quite liked the Mango they had on tap. For the ZA, best strategy is to order smaller pizzas so you can mix and share slices. If you like a little spice, the "Daredevil" ghost pepper salami pizza will get you sniffling, but the "Indoor Kid" with white sauce, provolone, and marinated artichokes is my personal favorite. ”

“Cozy place for Classic Brunch with Made for the day menu (with that date on menu). One page menu always gave me hard time to pick one, since ALL sounds so good. Relaxing Live acoustics music might make you regret if you come out in basketball shorts and winkled tshirt. So, it is nice to be clasic, looked classic and dressed classic on Sunday Morning, once in awhile, regardless of how much alchol you consumed on the previous night. Their fresh Coffee and OJ will help you sobered. ”

Steakhouse

“This is THE iconic steakhouse in the RTP area!!! It is a bit pricey, but you won't be disappointed. Well decorated and highly praised. Live music via a pianist on the top floor in the bar's lounge. Special diner prices if you eat in that area. Celebrations are a normal occurance there. They supply a free mini pound cake for your birthday or anniversary that is awesome. They are also well known for their award winning "Chess Pie". Yum! I would suggest making reservations!”
