“Kootenai Trailhead is approximately 16 miles to the north. This is a very popular trailhead, it’s beautiful but the downside is that it is more populated. Hikers from Missoula and surrounding areas like to hike here. It runs along the Kootenai Creek and is a gentle hike. Horses are allowed. ”

“This is only 7 miles away with beautiful scenery and trails to walk on. Hike to the river, or through the trees. Lots of birds singing, geese, ducks and owls nest here in the spring! Very therapeutic and tranquil. ”
