“Though best-known for it's Southern-Inspire comfort food (Duck meatloaf or buttermilk fried chicken, anybody?) the burger is an underrating darling garnished with local Cheddar, grilled onion, dill pickles, and sauce on toasted, fluffy brioche”

Art Gallery
“Pioneer Works often has something interesting going on - either art installation or performance-wise. There's a related bookstore on Van Brunt St. If nothing else, it'll get you to Red Hook, an interesting neighborhood on the waterfront to poke around in on. Some of the older residential streets still feel like a fishing village from days gone by. There is a pier at the end of Conover Street with a great view of the Statue of Liberty, a few good restaurants and multiple bars. Fairway is a huge supermarket where you can purchase lunch or breakfast and eat it outside on the water. Or you can shop at IKEA if that is more up your alley. In season on the weekends, there are multiple Latin food trucks on Bay Street. ”

“Go back in time and enjoy an ice cream float at this old-fashioned ice cream parlor. ”

Food & Drink Shop

“Two words: Breakfast. Sandwiches. A bacon-egg-and-cheese on a roll is a Saturday late-morning standby, but the righteous brunchtime subs at this beloved Carroll Gardens market-café are a welcome upgrade from that bodega classic. We’re talking Balthazar ciabatta loaded with scrambled eggs, salty Cabot cheddar and arugula, or a Taylor pork roll with American cheese on a Martin’s potato bun, delivered straight to the cozy dining room”

Neighbourhood
“Off-the-beaten-path Brooklyn waterfront neighborhood. The neighborhood is more sparsely populated, so some people might not feel comfortable walking around at night. Van Brundt Street is the main drag.”
