  • Thank you Marie Louise for really everything. We had a brilliant stay at your beautiful White Strand Cottage and I highly recommend the cottage to everybody who plans visiting the Connemara region. Marie Louise has been super-helpful beforehand making it easy to add one person to the booking and providing super accurate directions. On arrival, as we arrived very late at night, we even had a little guide book on the table with things to do an places to go, a regional map and eggs and bagels on the table for breakfast the next morning. The house is just beautiful and the location is stunning and Marie Louise was very friendly. Everything was just perfect! Thanks again and regards from Cork. :)

  • Wonderful cottage. Great location, five minute walk to beach. We were welcomed with local fresh eggs and bread. The cottage was large, very comfortable, cosy, and extremely clean. It contained everything we needed from blankets, dvd's, books and a super comfortable beds. There was plenty of hot water. It was so quiet at night, peaceful. Kids loved it. Will definitely be back. Third time to Connemara, best cottage by miles.

  • This is a lovely spacious home with a lot of natural night and is a short walk from a beautiful beach. The beach is super for swimming and our young children enjoyed spending a lot of time there. The house has beautiful views and is very private from the neighbors but we were close enough to nearby hikes and tourist attractions. We had a lovely holiday and Marie Louise is very attentive and responded very quickly to any texts.

  • We had a wonderful stay. My 18-year old daughter asked if we could live there within 10 minutes of arriving and has already made plans to bring her high-school friends back next summer. Our host was wonderful with helpful advice and local color. The home was spotless, well furnished and gracious. We loved it - a highlight of our 2,000 km trip through Ireland.

    james2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect, and the host was always here if we need something.

  • The house was lovely, it was very clean and spacious. The house is in a great location especially if you are going walking. The local people were very warm and generous. The pub in Tully Cross - Paddy's had great food and let us take take away home and return the crockery

    Elizabeth2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely and in a good position to explore the area. A disadvantage is that the owners are not there to welcome you and give you a run down on how everything works and what to do if it doesn't. We had to use the phone. Marie Louise was very gracious when she heard that the heating wasn'working. She came when we were out to see if she could fix it and left us with a bag of turf for the fire. She also gave us a discount as she didn't want us to have a bad experience which was much appreciated. (unfortunately the heater did not get fixed) My advice to other guests is to contact Marie Louise beforehand to make sure what she provides in the form of basic things for cooking etc. Also establish if there is anything for breakfast so you know exactly what to bring with you. There was only milk and a packet of biscuits on arrival. We were lucky because we had everything with us! In the end it all boils down to good communication and with that I am sure you will have a wonderful time. Marleen

  • It's heaven really nothing to say. Everything was perfect really, charming house very well located in one of the best countryside of Connemara. The house is perfect, and very warm. Marie Louise was always available to answer questions, and she knows how to make people feel at home;) really really precious place.

  • We totally enjoyed our stay! The communication with Timothy and Mary was easy and fast and they were very helpful. The flat is beautiful, cozy and in perfect location. It feels like it's set up for personal use and so we felt honored to stay there. The flat and especially the kitchen is above average equipped and there's lot's of beautiful art works around the house. The living is centered to a big window which gives an amazing view over parts of the village, the seaside and parts of conamora. I'd recommend to stay there rather longer than shorter as it's a perfect place just to hang on a sofa, read a book and enjoy the view. We also enjoyed Tully, which is a beautiful small village in perfect location. We felt like we made the perfect decission reagarding location, flat and hosts.

  • We truly enjoyed our stay in Arron's apartment. We arrived later in the evening and he still met us there to give a run down of the town and what might still be open for us to eat and drink. Before arriving he called the local restaurants to see if they would still be serving food when we arrived. He also checked the conditions at Connemara National Park for the hike he recommended to us for the next day. He was very accessible by phone and responded to our questions immediately. Excellent host service. The apartment was great. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful view which we couldn't see the night before. There is a lot of space for two people and everything was comfortable and we did utilize the smart TV. Great stay!

  • Aaron is very kind, welcoming and reliable ! The apartment was bigger than expected, perfectly located for a stay in Connemara, plus, there is a supermarket across the road. Amazing view on the mounts and lakes just outside the window. Everything we needed was provided. We especially enjoyed a horse ride on the beach in Aaron's mother's equestrian center, just next door, for which we had a special price !

    jean2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Arron's village apartment is the perfect weekend getaway! With a gorgeous view of the sea and Mweelrea (Connaught's highest mountain!) you know you're in a magical place! To top it all, connemara national park is just 8mins away. We climbed the diamond mountain and we were stunned at the beauty of this area. We will definitely go back to explore some more, and Arron's apartment is the perfect place to do this from. The apartment was spacious for two, with all the things we needed for our stay. Arron was a super host, he made everything very easy, from check in to check out and offered great advice for seeing the area! I highly recommend staying here!

The views are stunning, especially when the sun is out, and the back deck and garden are a great place to spend a quiet morning and/or afternoon! It is in the perfect location for anyone wishing to explore Connemara. Tullycross is a little town full of wonderful people and great craic. Mary and Vince were wonderful hosts. Mary ensured that we were welcomed and shown round once we arrived; all done quietly and efficiently - no fuss. Tully Cross has the wonderful Coynes's Bar - which you'll want to visit if you are a seafood lover. Several beaches for swimming within a five - ten minute drive. She loved playing in the fenced in garden & chasing the neighbours dogs! The apartment was exactly what we needed. Loads of space, bright & airy with a lovely stove with plenty of turf provided. Great view of the mountains from the patio. Mary was great with info on the area and what to do. There were plenty of brochures in the apartment also. The apartment was a stones throw from Tullycross village, with good seafood restaurants and minutes from great beaches. Great location to explore Connemara from. • If Airbnb homes shared the Carlsberg slogan then Deirdre's house in Connemara is 'quite possibly the best house in the world on Airbnb'. Photos can't do enough justice as they can't really capture the charm and comfort of staying in nothing short than an Image Interiors show home. We loved it! Perfect location to see our favourite part of Ireland, Connemara. Was difficult to say goodbye, for now, to this scrumptious home and we look forward to returning. Deirdre's communication was excellent from the outset.

    Mary2016-06-19T00:00:00Z

  • Very interesting location close to Connemara spots: Diamond and Tully hills, Killymore abbey and fjord, Clifden , Innisbohin and pub ( only a few 100 m by walk). The house is a real family home: well equipped, furnished and decorated. Confortable with a large kitchen, a dryer that is so helpful in such a wetty country, a stove welcomed after one day in mountains. Large windows offer nice lookouts to landscapes. Also Deirdre answered to our questions and asked if any problems. This house is now li ked to our nice souvenirs of Connemara.

    Gil2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in Deirdre's house. It felt very much like a home from home. The house is really well positioned in the village, a short walk from pubs, a hotel and one of the best fish restaurants I have ever eaten in (Paddy Coynes). The location is also ideal for exploring Connemara. The views from the house are stunning and the house is really well equipped with everything you could want for a week/weekend away. We would have no hesitation in returning.

  • We had the most amazing time in Ann's place. We had the whole apartment for ourselves and Ann lives in an adjacent house, and was always there if we needed anything. The rooms are tidy, cosy and comfortable. We cooked great dinners in the super well equipped kitchen and enjoyed sitting on the couches in front of the fireplace. The views through the window are beautiful too, you can see meadows mountains and the ocean in the distance. The location is unbeatbale as it is close to the national park and to several scenic drives and hikes in the area. It is also close to the supermarket and not far from clifden. We would definitely come back!

  • The apartment was very homely and clean and in general very lovely, with a extremley comfy bed! Its a short walk to tully cross with some beautiful views. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone staying in the area!

  • Very cosy and comfortable, with everything you need. Beautiful surroundings, not far to Connemara National Park and walks. Good shop at Letterfrack. We should have checked out bike hire in Tulley Cross instead of hiring bikes in Clifden, as the Sky Road scenic loop was a bit disappointing. The continuation of the Connemara Loop from Tulley Cross is stunning. Anne was a great host and available for any queries: many thanks. Would definitely recommend.

  • Tully cross is definetely one of the nicest place we saw in Ireland! At Ann's place you will find a fully equipped house, very clean and comfortable. GPS coord are not pointing the right place, but Ann is so kind to come and pick you up in the town center very close to her house.

    Giulia2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ann's places was great! Very homey and clean. Very close to Connemara national park and the abbey. Ann was a great host an extremely helpful whenever we needed her and suggested places for us to go and eat. Loved our stay with her!

  • Beautiful location in Connemara. The house is very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. Communication with Anne was excellent, she made sure that we knew where everything was. Well worth a visit!

  • When we arrived we stopped in the pub in town to get wifi and let her know we were in the area; Ann came in within five minutes! We stayed here for three nights for our honeymoon and loved the space, town, and area. Ann was an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host, had a fire going and extra logs when we arrived.

    Josiah2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ann's annexe is in a wonderful location, with great views of the countryside from the kitchen and bedroom and the bed is really comfy! The living room can got a little cold, but Ann kindly gave us fuel for the fire. We had a problem with the shower, but Ann was very quick to get a plumber out and fix the issue. Like others, we struggled to find the place initially, but using the GPS coordinates, the sat nav directed us to the front door. In all, this is a good value, lovely place to use as a base for exploring this lovely area.

Modern, bright and comfortable family home on a quiet lane off the Wild Atlantic Way.
Our house was built in 2006 and so is of modern build, very well insulated and cosy. There is a solid fuel stove in the living area which comes in very handy on those colder summer evenings and creates a lovely "hide-away" feeling! It is furnished in mostly a country style and has large windows all around the kitchen-dining-living area, giving lots of light sunrise to sunset. Outside there is an outdoor decked space accessed through the dining area. The garden has ample shade and little paths and passageways amongst the willows, hawthorns, gorse and reeds for children to explore. It is a family home, perfect for family holidays and reunions. It is also ideal for families coming over to learn English as there is a very good English Summer School that operates locally in Letterfrack.
What can I say! We are situated in one of the most breathtaking locations in all of Ireland! Connemara is famous for it's rugged countryside, majestic mountains, haunting lakes, bogs and easy-going coastal life. Kylemore Abbey and Victorian walled garden is practically at our doorstep, only 7.5 Km from the house, a short 10 min car journey away. There are many interesting historical and archaeological sites locally such as holy wells, cairns, a midden and megalithic tombs. Books written by local historians and archaeologists identifying and describing some of these are readily available in local shops. We have wonderful beaches nearby like White Strand, Leitir Geis beach, Glassillaun beach and Ros beach. All the Islands are easily accessible from here: Cleggan Pier is 18.2 Km away, with sailings to Inisbofin. Roonagh Pier is 58 Km away, with sailings to Clare Island and Inisturk. Rossaveel Pier is 65 Km away, with sailings to all the Aran Islands; Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Oirr. There are so many things to do locally! Activities such as fishing, adventure sports, water sports, scuba diving, horse riding, art workshops, ecology field trips, English lessons; are just a small selection of what's on offer over the summer months. And of course, then there's the pub! Renvyle is generally a quiet country parish, but the pubs are lively and often have live music at the weekend and offer great local food, drink and chat. Paddy Coynes - Connaught pub of the year 2017 - is a 10 minute walk from the house.
  • A very nice house nested in the heart of Connemara! Ideal for a family or 2. The Pub in Tully Cross "Paddy Coyles" offers good Guinness and excellent fresh fish! The Beach is a few minutes away. Fantastic holidays.

  • We were a large extended family of 9 staying in Hugh and Beatriz's beautiful home and it was perfect for us. There was lots for the 5 children to do both inside and outside the house. Ample sleeping arrangements for all and ample space for people to take a break from each other. The living space is very comfortable and perfectly situated close to the kitchen but just far enough away to feel like you're in a different room. The kitchen itself is very well equipped with everything you could possible need to feel at home. And the pantry is divine! There is an enormous fridge which can hold lots of food for a large group of people as is the freezer. We really did feel right at home. The house is very well laid out with good flow between the rooms and the upstairs. It has lots of toys and painting/drawing for the children who didn't miss the TV one bit! The WiFi is excellent! So if you do need to keep up with emails or Netflix for the children its well equipped to deal with that. We would highly recommend Huge and Beatriz's home to anyone with a large family or a large group of friends. It really is a lovely home. Thanks for letting us stay.

  • Amazing place for a holiday.Renvyle is so beautiful with all the beaches, Diamond hill and Great seafood at Paddy Coyne's pub. Hugh and Beatriz house is a gorgeous family home, loads of space and so (URL HIDDEN) has a great kitchen to cook in and amazing views of the surrounding mountains.

    Caoimhe2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is really spacious. The interior is functional as well as comfortable and homely. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a big fridge, which is handy for a family of five. Two bath rooms is luxurious; one for the parents and one for the children. A new television with Netflix was installed later on in the week. Nice too! One minor drawback was the warm water provision: we had to get used to switching on the boiler to provide us with warm water. The location is nice, no spectacular view, but offers a lot of privacy.

    Gertie2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to spend time with the family. Clean and very spacious! Easy going people.

    Marianne2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place that was scenic and cozy with easy driving to the types of places you want to visit and roam if you've come into this area. Hosts even let us extend an extra day spontaneously as we chose to stay longer. The living space and kitchen are particularly wonderful. Communication was good, and friend of the family let us in and showed us around. Only issues were that cleaning fee is/was oddly high, and there were some empty picture hooks and nail-holes in walls that made the stairwell and such look a bit ramshackle. Otherwise, a recommended stay especially if you can stay a while. :)

  • Rosemary provided very good accomodation in a beautiful setting. The view is stunning. She also made us a wonderful breakfast and accommodated my celiac diet brilliantly, and was very generous. I would happily stay there again. Definitely recommend this host. Lorraine and Chris

    Chris2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived, Rose and Joe made us feel like we were in our own home. We were given the BEST recommendations for food (Paddy Coynes pub is a MUST!) and and also given great advice on where to visit and go running etc. We also had full use of their living room and a great selection of Irish themed movies. I really can't overstate how gifted Rose and Joe are at hospitality. They blessed us richly and do hope to return someday. My wife and I would recommend without hesitation.

On Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way and totally renovated in recent years, our cosy self-catering cottage offers four bedrooms, a super-equipped kitchen, an open fire, amazing sea views, nearby beaches - overall, an ideal Connemara base!
Set on half an acre of mature gardens, the house itself has a great layout all aimed at making the most of its amazing sea views. If it's sunny, the garden is there and the beaches are minutes away. If it's rainy, you can always stay in and light the turf fire!
The difference with this house is that it's used all year around for weekend breaks and holidays by its owners - so it's a home, not just another house!
  • I booked Gerald's home for some members of my husband's and my bridal party during our wedding week. We were very pleased with the lodging: the home is cozy, the kitchen well stocked with utensils and other cooking gear, the artwork lovely, and the bathrooms clean and mostly modern. There is also a lovely view of the ocean from the kitchen and living room windows. Gerald is great with communication and quite accommodating! We would certainly stay at his home again.

    Erin2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Gerald's house was great for our group of 4. Plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, nice fireplace... Location is also wonderful, with lots to do in the area if you love the beach, walking, biking. Gerald was also very helpful, and responded quickly to messages.

    Rory2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent Christmas here with our family and was absolutely great. The house has everything you need and is really cosy. Gerald and Suzanne had also put up Christmas decorations and a wee tree and almost every room had a Christmas touch to it. It was a stormy Christmas eve and Christmas day so the open turf fire was very welcome. There's a great view of the sea from both the living room and kitchen, and was a treat sitting eating Christmas dinner while watching the waves crashing against the rocks. There is a small school with a playground just down from the house so it was nice for our daughter to get out for a run around and play. The beach is a five minute walk away and Tullycross village about a 5 minute drive so the location is great. It's about a half hour drive to Leenane and Killary Fjord (depending how often you stop to take pictures). We loved it and will definitely be back!

    Karen2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well equiped and the view is beautiful. Close to the beach, if perfect for a nice sunset with your friends or family ! The rooms are big enough and as described in the description. Was perfect for a week-end with my friends so I defintely recommend this house !

  • Good spot to stay in if you need a lot of space in Connemara. The shower and hot water situation was a bit rough, but manageable. The house had beautiful views of the water. We ate at Guy's in Clifden and highly recommend! Gerald was very helpful, too.

    Katie2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Everything as described by Gerald. Only a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

  • Monica made us very welcome indeed and the house was exactly as shown in the photos, as was our room which was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The guest lounge was a nice added touch. The sea is only about 300m away down a track beside the house. A slightly restricted view of the sea is visible from the house, but enough to experience great sunsets. Cooked breakfast was more than ample. The small village of Tully Cross is a few minutes drive away and has three eating establishments - two pubs (with different levels of cuisine and price) and a hotel/restaurant which is owned by host Monica Lydon.

    Richard2015-07-02T00:00:00Z

  • We had two very nice and comfortable days at Monica´s. The surrounding was very nice, though the only point where you have a look at the ocean is one of the breakfast tables. Apart from that, the place was very quiet, clean and we had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was good and the staff very nice.

    * Located near a well stocked shop, postoffice, hardware store, pharmacy and petrol/diesel station. * Taxis available locally * Local Attractions * Tullycross is famous for it's thatched cottages and is just 5 minutes walk. The village has a good selection of places to eat. * Kylemore * At Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Garden, there is so much for all the family to enjoy. Visit the restored rooms of the Abbey and learn about its history and tales of tragedy and romance. Explore the 6 acre Victorian Walled Garden with its magnificent restored buildings. Discover woodland walks, lakeshore walks, nature trails and childrens play trail throughout the 1,000 acre estate. The beautiful Gothic Church is a short walk from the Abbey, nestled nearby is the Mausoleum where Mitchell and Margaret Henry are buried side by side. Children will enjoy making a wish at the Giants Ironing stone. * Enjoy delicious home baking and home cooked food at Mitchell's café or The Garden Tea House and finish your visit with a spot of shopping at our lovely Craft and design Shop. * Letterfrack Located here is Connemara National Park and Diamond Hill, great for a afternoons walk. Letterfrack was founded by James and Mary Ellis, a Quaker couple from Bradford in England in the mid-19th century. The Ellises wanted to help with the post-Famine relief effort. They leased nearly 1,000 acres (405 ha) of rough land and set about reclaiming it, farming it and planting it with woodland. They built a schoolhouse, housing for tradesmen, a shop, a dispensary, and a temperance hotel. * Clifden, some 12 miles distant, is regarded as the Capital of Connemara, with banks and a large selection of shops, pubs, and other leisure facilities. The town is noted for its many fine seafood restaurants, the famous Connemara Pony Show which takes place there each August, and the Clifden Arts Festival in September, all of which attract many Irish and foreign visitors. * The town was founded at the start of the 19th century by John D'Arcy (phone number hidden))[who lived in Clifden Castle (built around 1818, now a ruin) west of Clifden. He had inherited the estate in 1804, when it was mostly inhabited by fishermen and farmers. The idea of establishing a town on the coast was first voiced by him in 1812. * Roundstone is known as a home for creativity and the arts. For many years some of the most important figures in Irish Art have painted there, including Paul Henry, Jack B. Yeats, Gerard Dillon and Nano Reid. The Roundstone Arts Week celebrates youth and environment on an annual basis. The local Summerfest, is held in July. Traditional Irish Nights are held weekly throughout July and August and offers music, song and dance from the Connemara area. * The village has a number of artists and crafts people. The Michael Killeen park houses Roundstone Ceramics a long established pottery studio and shop with beautiful locally inspired hand made ceramics. The House of Mag Aoide makes silver jewellery on the premises. The Stable Gallery at Errisbeg House houses the work of contemporary artists in a beautiful setting. Rosie Mcgurran opens her studio during the summer months showing her unique vision of Connemara. Local Roundstone artist Yvonne King runs a gallery in the village showing local scenes and watercolours. * Inishbofin Island * One of Ireland's favourite island holiday destinations, Inishbofin boasts some spectacular award winning beaches. The East End beach on the island has previously won European Green Coast Awards and is a must for a sunny day on the island. However, with some varying currents and swells, not all areas around the island are suitable for swimming, so be sure to check with your accommodation provider or at the Community Centre before diving in. * Local Beaches * Tully Beach * * Renvyle Strand * Lettergesh is renowned for its series of beautiful strands overlooked by the majestic Mweelrea mountain and movie buffs may be interested to learn that the famous horse racing scene from The Quiet Man was filmed here. * Glassilaun is another North Connemara wonder and is popular with water sports enthusiasts. There are also some excellent dive sites in this area. This beach featured in The Quiet Man movie. * White Strand which is safe and easy to enjoy and is also a popular dog walking spot. * Omey Strand, one of Connemara's most intriguing beaches, connects the mainland village of Claddaghduff to the tidal Omey Island. It is possible to drive across Omey Strand to the island at low tide, but always check tide times before parking and exploring as it can be very easy to get caught out and stranded. Omey is very popular for horseback treks and also hosts the renowned Omey Races every August, where the strand becomes a race track for a day, complete with bookmakers, jockeys and horses and plenty of entertainment. * Rossadillisk and reads ‘Welcome to Paradise' – and it certainly delivers. A vast flat beach with a large tidal draw is dominated by giant boulders and lots of shallow rock pools which will enchant and entertain children. * Sallerna Beach, also signposted past the fishing village of Cleggan, is another gem and has some interesting archaeological features in the nearby fields. * Eyrephort Beach is located at the end of the famous Sky Road and faces the islands of Inishturbot and Inishturk South. A local favourite, it will be busy on summer days and the narrow road can be tricky for passing traffic, but it is well worth a visit at any time of the year. * Coral Strand, located next to the main road to Ballyconneely from Clifden is a very popular spot for a swim, but you will have to tip toe over the large pieces of coral in order to get in! * Aillebrack Beach, near the Connemara Championship Golf Links, is a wonderfully natural and peaceful beach setting and habitat, while Mannin's clear blue waters and sandy dunes make it a family favourite for many. Surfing and sea kayaking are popular at Doonloughan beach, where the expanses of sandy dunes and grass make it an enticing place to explore and ramble around- a perfect place to find your own spot and get away from it all. * Gurteen and Dog's Bay lie back to back, separated by grassy dunes and viewed beautifully from Errisbeg Hill. Gurteen is the larger of the two and has a lifeguard on duty during the summer months as well as kayak rental and other facilities. The headland separating the two glorious beaches is a highly recommended walk, and is preferable to walking through the dunes as a grass planting system is in place by the local community. * Dog's Bay's bright white sand is composed of millions of microscopic shells and is also a Green Coast awarded beach. Roundstone's glorious pair of beaches are naturally popular with both locals and visitors alike and can be busy during spells of good weather. * Moyrus and Feenish beaches are calm, quiet and peaceful. * An Trá Mór (the big beach) near Indreabhan (Inverin) is impressive and also boasts a Blue Flag award. * Trá an Dóilín in An Cheathru Rua (Carraroe) is another outstanding beach, with a Blue Flag and a lifeguard on duty in summer months as well. * Connemara Festivals 2015 * Féile Traidphicnic Festival * Traditional Music and Dance * The fourth Traidphicnic Festival brings something for all to experience in the Gaeltacht village of An Spidéal with traditional music, dance & arts in a bi-lingual setting. • "Heaven Too" is a true "heavenly" place. A wonderful and cosy house with an amazing sea view. It exceeded our expectations. The area is beautiful so there is a lot to explore. In case it shouldnt stop raining the house provides everything you can think of, all is very clean and it really makes you feel like being home. Annette was quickly responding to all my questions and even offered to organise food should we arrive late. We came with 4 adults and a baby and all of us loved it.

  • My husband and I had a lovely romantic getaway. The entire region is breathtaking. Heaven Too has all the comforts of home and the local is just remote enough. The house is very roomy and we look forward to returning with our whole family. Be sure to visit a local butcher and make yourselves up some Connemarra lamb. Divine.

  • The house is great, lots of luxury finishes, the views are splendid in any weather, and the hosts are wonderfully welcoming. It's a perfect quiet getaway. The house works really well for a small gathering of family or friends. The hosts, Mike and Janet were on-hand to address any questions or other needs. They were also flexible with arrival / departure dates and times as my travel plans evolved. This all helped to make this a truly relaxing break.

This holiday home is a home away from home, with magnificent views whether it's sunny, cloudy or raining. Every time you look out the window the scenery will look different as this is the beauty of Connemara. Many beautiful beaches near by The White Stand only half a mile. The nearest villages are Tully and Tullycross which are only a mile away which have a local shop, pubs and restaurant. There are many things to do in around Renvyle i.e National Park, Kylemore Abbey, Killary Adventure centre.
Large Beautiful cottage with stunning views from every every turn. The property is situated on a 1 acre garden, wonderful for kids to explore and play. The house is located close to local amenities and the Renvyle House Hotel less than 3/4 of a KM away.
The area of Connemara is known for its unrivaled beauty and Renvyle is among its most spectacular neighborhoods. Guests will have access to multiple untouched beaches, any amount of quiet roads for walking and hiking. With the 12 Bens mountain range all around, if you fancy a harder challenge it is just around the corner and in view from the house. Connemara is well accustomed to dealing with visitors and so there is lots to do and see. Clifden is the capital of Connemara and has some lovely restaurants, cafe's and is only a 20 minute drive. Kylemore abbey is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ireland and is only a 10 minute drive from the house. Leenane is a beautiful village on the edge of the Galway, Mayo border. • Perfect family home with lots of space in a really stunning part of the country... Thomas was great to deal with and prompt to reply to any questions. House was perfect for my family and our friends and their kids (comfortably fit four adults and five kids) Stunning views to enjoy sitting on the deck. Fully stocked kitchen complete with teabags, coffee, sugar etc they even thought of plastic cups for the kids. The house was perfectly clean and in no way damp or musty. Towels provided and a folder with suggestions of things to do in the area. The house is just a two minute drive from the beautiful Islands View beach and 15/20 mins from Kylemore Abbey...Lots to do and explore in the area. Looking forward to returning in the future :-)

    Janice2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Prosperous house is even better than we expected! There are 4 very generous bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a big dining kitchen area along with 3 bathrooms and a separate toilet....exactly what our large family group of 8 needed. The house is a bit off the beaten track but really only a 10 minute drive to a couple of really lovely pubs/restaurants and around 20/30 minutes to bigger towns that have more going on. The house was perfect for us as we had 4 boys and a puppy and the gardens are MASSIVE!! Plenty of room for them to blow off steam whilst we could sit on the deck with a glass of wine/cup of tea (delete where appropriate!) Thomas was very easily reached and Helen the house manager lives directly out the back so we never felt isolated if we had any queries. I would definitely recommend this home to family groups or even groups of couples looking to chill out and enjoy the absolutely stunning surroundings of Connemara. A firm 10/10 from us!!!

  • Rose and Joe were very welcoming to us. The studio apartment was very cozy, immaculate, and very well, and cleverly, appointed. It was even nicer than we expected and perfect for two people. Its location was ideal for exploring the Connemara area. We had beautiful weather, and enjoyed hiking several mountains and exploring Omey and Inishbofin islands. We had a wonderful 4 days there.

    Janice2015-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely wiggled with pleasure when I saw the views from this adorable studio - absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. The space itself is small but it is absolutely immaculate and decorated with light colors and large windows so that it felt open and airy. I only interacted minimally with the hosts as I was there for just one night, but they were very friendly and gave me a tip on a museum along my route for the next day which was fantastic! I would recommend doing the short (although steep at the top) Diamond Hill hike at Connemara National Park which is a short drive down the road - perhaps the best view I saw on my entire tour of Ireland.

  • My fiance and I arrived at Tully village in the late afternoon. Feeling very tired after trekking in Connemara Mountains we were welcomed by the host with fresh scones and the best brownies in the world. The studio exceeded our expectations. It was very cozy and had a romantic atmosphere to it. The view from the window and a little dining area that was set up outside were so impressive and we we were staring at it for ages. It had very relaxing and calming effect. The village itself is small but this is what you need when you holiday away from the big city. No crowds, just the nature and us! Will definitely come back there and it will be soon! Would recommend it to anyone and the price is very competetive! Thank you so much Rose!!! :-)

  • The cottage we stayed in was a 5 minute walk to the wonderful pubs and hotel restaurant in Tullycross. So nice to have a pint with dinner and not worry. The owner was very quick to respond when I needed a hairdryer and had accidentally turned off the hot water for showers! He is very nice. This house has plenty of room for a group and bathroom space is plentiful. Kitchen is well appointed if you wanted to cook a meal or just eat breakfasts like we did. The washer and dryer work beautifully which was a relief since we had been traveling and needed it badly! This will be the first place we look to book next time we come to visit!

  • It was a very peacefull moment and Rosemary is very kind. A very good Irish experience and, when you take your breakfast, the view is justtremendous.

  • Sunnymeade is a fantastic place! Very quiet and quaint with stunning views. The hospitality was five-star with a warm breakfast waiting for us. Would love to spend an entire week here in the near future.

  • The B&B was just awesome! Rosemary and her husband were friendly and made us feel very welcome! The breakfast and the view was great! The rooms were clean and very beautiful. I would love to come back again!

  • Rose and Joe made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood is splendid. My daughter and I were able to relax, explore, rest, all in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I would (and will) book Sunnymeade again. Having a car would be nice. We did not, so couldn't explore as far as we would have liked. That enabled us to enjoy th(URL HIDDEN)bit more though. I'm sure everyone that stays at Sunnymeade would agree, if it were possible, I could live there.

  • The hostess was charming, pleasant, and gracious. The B&B is simply delightful, and the setting is magnificent.

  • We had an amazing stay at Rosemary and Joe's place. They were very welcoming and helped us a lot with advices on what to visit + little tips about good food, good timing and local schedules. The room was clean with a very good bed. The view from the dining room is absolutely amazing and you're welcome to enjoy it as many times as you can with the free coffee and tea that are always available. And last but not least: the DELICIOUS breakfast with fresh fruit and a lot of choice!

The vast expanse of Glassillaun beach is 1.2km from the cottage over the hill and is also the base for Scuba Dive West.
