Communication before we arrived was quick and thorough. The house itself was spotless and extremely stylish. The interior design was well done. The master bed was one of the most comfortable I've been in. Easily one of the best Air BnB experiences I've had. I look forward to returning.

Such a great spot! Loved this cute, rustic space. Great for a quick getaway for business or personal. Hilarious reading materials—the owner is obviously a traveler, CIA, or has a twisted sense of humor and varied interest, haha—in fact, maybe all the above! It was excellent. You could grab the 9/11 Committee report to read or learn about Russian Criminal Tattoos and their meanings (not for the faint of heart). Great location for downtown. Excellent amenities offered. Clean space and awesome that both bedroom areas had their own bathroom and shower/tub. Updated design and fixtures. Much bigger than you’d think too! I was so enthralled with the books and art collection, I didn’t even turn the large flat screen TV on. Would love to stay here again when I travel to Richmond occasionally. Felt safe inside!

The best Airbnb experience I have ever had.

This is a great value in a good location and will especially meet your needs if you're used to urban living. The parking in back was a huge convenience. Mike and Katarina were very responsive. Some things in the house prioritize form over function, but the aesthetic is so nice we didn't mind all that much. Definitely loved being in walking distance to a fantastic casual southern restaurant, Mama J's!

Coreys place was absolutely beautiful! Great central location. We walked to a bunch of breweries and restaurants, highly recommend Hot Chick for the best chicken sandwich we’ve ever had! The apartment was very trendy and had everything we needed for the weekend.

This location is wonderful - walkable to so many great places in the Fan! The apartment is stylish and comfortable with lots of little touches. I LOVED the coffee bar, complete with french press and milk frother. There was also my favorite flavored coffee creamer in the fridge - it made it really nice in the mornings to have coffee just how I make it at home. The bed is comfortable and the apartment includes a ton of natural light! Corey is a great host!

This place is amazing! It has everything - location above all. You can walk to some of the best joints in Richmond, and are a short drive away from some of the best spots the city has to offer. Top that with a stylish and very clean space, and we’ll be making this our regular spot to stay when we’re in town!

We were able to find parking less than a block away, and enjoyed exploring the vintage shops in the neighborhood. My husband and I loved this place. Nice sized rooms with high ceilings and old fashioned charm. Lots of coffee, tea and other amenities. Perfect location: two blocks to the art and history museums. A plethora of restaurants and bars to walk to but a quiet street. Hope to return soon.

We found the hidden treasure of Carytown... definitely recommend the area to anyone..... This place is in a great part of town, very comfortable and perfect for a visit to Richmond. I loved the wall art on the outside!

This is a great place to stay. It is very close to VCU which is a huge plus for people looking to visit the campus. The bungalow is small but the hosts do a lot with the space that they have. The hosts have great communication skills and are willing and ready to solve any problems guests may encounter.

The house is very clean and neat. It is very convenient to the downtown area, everything felt walk-able. It was off of the main drag so we felt very undisturbed while we were there. We would 100% stay there again!

If you are planning a trip to Richmond, whether long or short term, you should definitely consider David's place. It's large and roomy, with a well appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, and a very comfortable bed. It's within walking distance to some really good places to eat and cool shops, and not far from the VMFA. It also has off-street parking, always a plus in my book. We found it to be a great value.

This place is so nice! Clean, spacious and in a perfect location for a stop on our drive from NJ to FL with our dogs. This is our second time staying here and it’s on our list of favorites. The decor is modern with beautiful wood touches , the bed is very comfortable and the shower space is welcoming after a long day of travel. The neighborhood and nearby park are perfect for walking. Great coffee shop nearby. Brittany is a wonderful host!

This was the perfect place to stay. The place is so cute, very clean, smells great and the location is amazing. There were fresh flowers and live plants in the house and coffee for us. We will be back again.

This guest house was absolutely stunning! This spot was in an ideal location—just steps from great birding spots and delicious food at neighboring restaurants and bakeries. Parking was a breeze and I felt secure being able to see my vehicle from the guest house (plus the neighborhood is super safe). Brittaney provided tons of recommendations at check-in. She truly went above and beyond by providing an early check-in despite a late check-out by the previous guest. Both my pup and I felt right at home. I would come back in a heartbeat and wish I could have stayed longer!

Great space. I traveled with my husband, eight month old daughter, and two large dogs and Brittaney's space worked perfectly for us. This airbnb made traveling easy as there was coffee and a pour over, shampoo, a pack n play, and a water bowl for the dogs. Little Nickel and Laura Lee's were great dinner spots; the ability to walk to trails from the airbnb is outstanding. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to anyone traveling to RVA.

Brittaneys guest house is beautiful and exceeded expectations!

Wow. This space is fantastic! Serene, wonderful craftsmanship, beautifully designed, lots lovely touches, wonderfully framed windows that capture the sky and trees throughout. The location is exceptional. This was the last night of our road trip along the east coast with our four month old pup and we were contending with some severe weather along our route (rain and 20-50 mph winds). Our hosts were kind enough to tag team the turnover from the previous guest so we could check in an hour earlier which made such a big difference given our puppy and the weather we had just driven through. We were ready for a reset and to make the last night of our road trip a special one and that it was - thanks to our amazing hosts. Not only was the space amazing but their suggestions of where to go were exactly what we needed and made our stay so special. We enjoyed lunch at Lunch and Supper (first meal out with our pup), walked on a trail along the James River (just minutes from the house), had a lovely and delicious dinner at the charming Laura Lees and delicious, coffee, cinnamon bun and breakfast sandwich at the quaint WPA coffee house. We want to come back and do this (and more) all over again!

The studio is just as pictured and the location is close to pretty much anything that you would need for a little vacation. The road next to the studio was a little loud, but definitely not a deal breaker. I would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent location with TONS to do right in the neighborhood. The space is perfect for two and has everything you need. This is absolutely where we will look to stay next time we are in town.

This place is super well located and accessible by public transportation and Uber. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby, including a convenient neighborhood market across the street. Black Hand Cofee is also across the street so, you can get your coffee fix every morning quite easily. The apartment is very comfortable, perfect size for a short stay. The only downside is the lack of enough daylight in the common areas. The windows look at an alley with not much light which makes the apartment dark. Otherwise, is a great spot, recommended.

This sweet Richmond place in a comfortable neighborhood was a perfect spot to launch various excursions in town. Ami was easily reached and very understanding.

Ami’s place was perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood close to everything we needed. Easy to decide to stay in one night for movies and board games after a busy day in the city. She really went out of her way to make our stay special. Would definitely stay again.

We came to Richmond to attend a concert at the National. The location was super close to the venue. It was only a 6$ ride and there's a Walgreens walking distance from the house. Check-in was smooth and the host provided everything we could have needed.

Set in a beautiful Richmond neighborhood, this space is so charming! And just a short walk to some yummy restaurants and fun shopping.

Our stay at Glenn's Guesthouse was perfect. His studio apartment is spotlesly clean, comfortable and located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and is very affordable. The self check-in was a breeze. We quickly unloaded our luggage, settled in and then went to a nice dinner in the nearby Fan District ( 10 min drive). We did not have alot of questions since this Airbnb offered everything as advertised, but Glenn was very responsive and polite with all correspondence. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this Airbnb to others.

We had a wonderful stay! So close to everything and loved hearing the music from downstairs! It is quite loud at times but it’s about the same as listening to your phone on low. If you’re a light sleeper she does provide a white noise machine which I thought was a nice touch!

Phenomenal location, clean space with new fixtures and solid furniture. But important to note that the live music below is no joke—it will be extremely loud until 2am (furniture rattling with bass) and unrealistic to try to sleep before then. Robyn was v friendly, clear and up front about this but it’s important to be aware of if you’re going to enjoy the stay

I had the most pleasant stay at Bill and Lissa’s. The upstairs apartment is very clean and comfortable and is in a great location- the heart of the Fan. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches that the host left for me- flowers, coffee, breakfast items and fruit. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this delightfully charming apartment. The space was full of thoughtful, hospitable touches — real flowers, plenty of snacks/breakfast items, lots of coffee options, etc. Instructions were very clear, and Bill was kind enough to give us a quick tour when we arrived. The space is very sunny but has blackout curtains if that’s not your thing. There is some street noise on weekend nights, but worth it to be in walking distance of so many great Richmond restaurants, bars, and shops! We also really enjoyed having our morning coffee out on the porch overlooking the garden. All-around great and would definitely stay again!

Bill’s place is a lovely warm and cozy apartment within a historic row house . Perfect location for a weekend trip to Richmond, especially if you want to explore all that the Fan district has to offer. We could easily walk to Carytown, the VMFA and walkable to Scott’s Addition also. The apartment is very well equipped and extremely comfortable - especially the bed. The kitchen is well stocked - Keurig coffee machine with loads of coffee options available and Bill and Lissa has provided breakfast goodies! Can’t say enough great things about Bill and Lissa. Such warm hosts, they greeted us like we were family and were so generous and helpful with our 10 month old twins. We could have talked to them for hours! We look forward to visiting again.

Very steep access stairs to second story apartment, but indoor stairs with good rail. Exactly what we needed for a first weekend trip to Richmond.

Great place close to VCU. Clean, quiet, easy to find and seemed to be in a nice area of town. Cat in the common area was very friendly and enjoyed playing with her even though I’m not even a cat person. Tara was also nice and welcoming. She went above and beyond as a host. The shared bathroom was only shared with one other person it seemed and I was able to use it whenever I needed to. Would recommend her place to future travelers looking for a quiet place to stay.

The Van Gogh room is perfect for two people, complete with extra blankets and towels if needed, and a very thoughtful coffee maker in the room. Bathroom is beautiful, albeit being a shared one. Best part were the cats, they’re curious and adorable!

Ok. Let me start by saying that I travel 7-9 months out of the year, and I stay in AirBnB's about 90% of the time. I've seen everything from really good to really bad, and it takes a lot to impress me. That said, this is hands down the COOLEST place I've ever stayed! The furniture, the salt lamps, the antiques...The level of attention to detail is unmatched by any other place I've ever stayed. I seriously felt like I was staying inside a literal movie set. SPOILER ALERT: It has a bookcase secret door as the entrance!! Are you kidding me? So effing cool! If you're looking to relax in the most stylish and thoughtful AirBnB in Richmond, look no further. 10/10 will definitely book again!

Carlos place is great for a quick trip to Richmond! His space is a cute little efficiency type unit that is in a good location and has easy access to the rest of the city. My only suggestion would be to ignore his “has hair dryer” amenity and bring your own. The hair dryer in the unit is about the same as asking a friend to blow on your hair to dry it. Other than that enjoy your stay at Carlos’ place!

Jessica was a great host! The location and neighborhood are unbeatable, and the space was very clean and stylish. Check-in went very smoothly, and we had no issues parking during the numerous times coming and going throughout the weekend. Would recommend!

The studio is small but the furniture is well placed and it still feels spacious. The location is excellent, close to supermarket and drugstore, and extremely safe. It was very quiet during day and night. The bathroom was good and the shower was great. We had plenty of towels and toilet paper. The kitchen had everything we needed and enough space to store our food. The TV had Netflix and was conveniently placed next to the bed. The bed was ok, the pillows were plenty and comfortable. We did miss having a nightstand. Instead we had to use the dining table, which was fortunately big enough. Also, the heater was placed next to the door, which we believe made it difficult to completely heat up the studio. The place had nice amenities like hair dryer, plastic bags, some cooking ingredients like oil, sugar and salt, and also soap. We also loved the available snacks. The host was very friendly and helpful, and always answered us very quickly. She also gave us nice recommendations about the city. We definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely short stay at Jessica's place. Cute, stylish, clean. Plenty of extra towels and blankets. Easy to get in and out with the keypad code. Safe, cute area, walkable to lots of fun places. If you like to spread out in your space as a couple, this may not be the place for you, since it's a relatively small space.

I really enjoyed staying here. Hosts added a special touch by having some sugar shack goodies waiting for us on arrival. The place was spotless and there were interesting books to look through on the shelves. Remote control gas fire place added an extra touch of warmth.

No complaints. She was easy to communicate with, her place is quite nice. She worked with me to hold my luggage while I was doing an interview which I appreciated. Her house is about a mile from VCU medical campus and two miles from museums and local breweries.

Tara's place was impeccably clean. The washrooms were amazingly stylish - chandelier in the half washroom below wow ! Location is good with plenty of restaurants nearby and safe as well. Tara is meticulous and everything is well thought of put on paper so that there is no ambiguity. Her dogs and cats are also trained not to bother ;). Would certainly stay there the next time I happen to travel to Richmond again

Check-in was a breeze. Tons of street parking. Bedding was soft. Bathroom is nicely updated. Great stay.

Arguably the best Airbnb I have stayed in recently. Tara has a talent for decorating and has very tasteful touches. The room was clean and artistic felt like I was sleeping in a museum. Only wish I could figure out the heater but it wasn’t that big of an issue. Tara gave clear instructions and was quick with the responses as well. Very glad I stayed here

Nice place in Richmond near the I-95! John and Samantha were really great hosts. All the rooms have locks on their door which is nice ! We enjoyed our stay in this clean house.

John’s place was in a great spot for the event I was attending. His home was neat and he has a lot of recommendations for the local area. Knowing he was quick to respond made the stay even better and everything I needed was provided. I would recommend this place to anyone in Richmond.

Great stay for my short trip to Richmond. Room was very clean and instructions were very well written. They have everything you need.

Very convenient location, appreciated the easy parking. The place was very low-key since everyone staying were air bnb-ers. I liked that all the rooms had separate doors that automatically locked when closed. My husband and I did use the kitchen some as it does have the basics available for cooking, and the host was very quick to accomodate if we needed anything.

John's place is adorable, close to everything, and somewhere I recommend to others!

We had little midweek Richmond getaway planned and loved the location of Carol’s place. So many things to do and places to eat right in the downtown /Fan area. The unit was very clean and super cozy. The waterfall shower is amazing. Really the only “negative” thing might be if you are a really tall person (taller than my 6’4”) you will definitely have trouble with the low ceilings and entrances ! Also, the communication was excellent regarding our stay and anything we might need. We would definitely stay at Carol’s place again when in Richmond.

This apartment is an easy walk to Carytown for trendy restaurants and unique shopping and to the museum district for the art museum. Everything else is within a short drive. Parking is easy. I loved the space. The colors are serene. The kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms are comfortable. Geena is responsive to texts - easy to communicate. Very relaxing pleasant atmosphere.

I took a job in Richmond for 6 months and stayed at Rick and Geena's. I really enjoyed the apt and the location, it began to feel like home. The proximity to cary st and all it has to offer is really great. I recommend staying here if ever in Richmond.

This place was just as described. A beautiful historic home located in a great area and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Carlytown. My bedroom was upstairs and was very clean, super comfortable and stylish. Gabrielle was very nice and you I even had the pleasure of hearing her singing :) . Fred was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The stay felt like i was visiting family. The walls are a bit thin so if you're hoping for absolute silence, probably not the place. It was not distracting or disturbing, but just something to note. Overall, great place, good price, and the location/neighborhood/house/hosts couldn't be better. I wish i had more time!

This was the best AirBnB we have ever had. It was by far the cleanest, the amenities were wonderful (pretty much every toiletry you can think of), it was stylish, and the location was wonderful. There were some fantastic places within just a couple blocks—drinks at Saison were particularly amazing. Reagan was incredibly responsive and even offered us quick recommendations when we decided we wanted to get pedicures or massages at the last minute.

This little nook borders on the luxurious. It reminded me of an inn where I stayed in the countryside in England. Spotless , but not sterile, with little creature comforts here and there . Fresh apples , spring and sparkling water tea and coffee and a few lamps lit when I self-checked myself in rather late at night so that it felt cozy and not lonely . I’m not very familiar with this particular Neighborhood and I have visited Richmond a number of times before but it is close to some of my favorite spots. There is a good chance that I will return.

The perfect spot for our trip! The place was beautifully simple and in a great location. Carytown was perfect for local bars, grocery stores, restaurants and a short walk to Maymont and Byrd Park. Justin was one of the most communicative and accommodating hosts we’ve experienced. He made being a guest as easy as possible. Thank you for the lovely stay!

This is a lovely airbnb apartment. Very comfortable and welcoming. Great location that's a very short walk to shops and restaurants -- a great neighborhood. We had a good night's sleep and just wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area.

Everything you could need was in this cozy apartment. Super cute and great location. You can walk to different establishments, or Uber under $10 for a change in scenery. Highly recommend.

What a great place! Stylish and clean with a separate workspace, nice kitchen, and comfy couch and bed. Super-convenient to local grocery store, one block from Cary Street and some fine restaurants and shopping. Easy on-street parking in a less-dense neighborhood than most in Carytown.

Justin’s home is a great stay for someone from the work traveler to the weekend warrior. Super clean, well decorated, and a great touch of hospitality, Justin’s home truly felt, well like a home! Located in the heart of the museum district, it was super easy to find on street parking and a quick walk to Carytown, where a visitor can truly explore the local Richmond culinary and shopping scene. With his great communication and ease of stay, I most definitely will recommend Justin’s home to anyone who plans on visiting Richmond.

The space was awesome, clean, & comfy! Professionally run with so many special touches. The neighborhood used to be very sketchy but these old style architectural homes are being removated into the beauty they once were, it’s happening all over RVA. We will definitely stay here again!

Adorable place. So much fun just to hang out and watch movies in. Nice kitchen, clear rules, very secure feeling.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is very clean and close to downtown. The bed is also extremely comfortable! Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet our hosts as they were out of town, but communication was good and check in was straight forward. We’d stay here again.

This location cannot be beat! I lived in Richmond for four years and was still pleasantly surprised how close I was to so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions. I had to walk through a small alley to get to the front of the building (the lockbox is not on the back door where you park) but other than that, getting into the unit was a breeze. Although the posting says there is not assigned parking, there actually was a parking spot that was clearly labeled for the apartment number I stayed in which was very helpful as parking in that area of the city can be hard to come by. The apartment itself is located in a very old building. Fortunately, I enjoy the character these old buildings have to offer, including creaky old wood floors. If you are looking for something super modern, and up-to-date, this location is not for you. David's place was very cozy (it was a cold day and the heat was already on and ready for me). The furniture, including the bed, were comfortable. There were plenty of snacks and bottled water available which I appreciated after a long drive into the city. Although, the bedroom is located right next to a busy street, I barely heard anything as David has installed a white noise machine which cancelled out pretty much all chatter or automotive noise. This apartment is very roomie and manages to feel both large and cozy at the same time. Pretty much anything you may need is available...microwave, stove, washer/dryer, etc. are there if you need them. David was an excellent communicator and was very quick to respond when I had questions. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Richmond.

I love this place because the apartment is huge and location is walking distance to everything. Plus David is such a great host, I’d recommend any of his places but this one is my personal favorite.

John was super prompt on replying to my queries. The place is designed to be comfortable for short or longer stays -- laundry is available, some supplies for making coffee etc. I didn't need those but it was so good to know that was available. John and Samantha also put together a mini area guide, super welcoming for someone new to the area. The place is well located too, away from the busyness of town but only a 10min drive (or a walk and transit) to MCV etc. Will stay again!

This room is spacious with 2 closets and the en-suite bathroom makes it feel like your own apartment! Note that the two windows face the main street (the little bit of noise didn't bother me or disturb my sleep at all) and the mattress is a bit on the plush/softer side but that's the style I like (though I could see someone who likes a firm bed wishing it had more firmness to it). The bathroom was super clean and great communication from John and keypad entry on main door and room door made things so easy! Would definitely stay here again

Will's place is in a very convenient location-close to downtown, close to museums, convenient to the interstate for easy access to many different parts of Richmond, and in a trendy neighborhood with wonderful, raved-about restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. His instructions were very detailed and clear and we didn't have any issues at all with parking, check-in, or check-out. The space was clean and had all everything we needed for a 3-night stay. A great value!
