“- in the hearth of nature - part of Park forest Marjan - has lots of shadow and it is less crowded than Bacvice or Obojena beach - ideal for all - day stay - everything you need is around (a sport center, consisting of tennis courts, children playground, and open-air gym, a bar and a restaurant) - popular among families, partly due to its sandy seabed - easily reachable by walk, bus, little sightseeing train or bicycle”

“Nobody has the Lungomare, a promenade by the sea, like Split! All the way from the Marjan peak or the Oceanographic institute you can take a stroll along the sea all to the eastern marine city limits like Bacvice, Ovcice, Firule, Zenta, Trstenik, Duilovo… Because of its fine sand and natural shelter Firule have always proven to be especially interesting for mothers with young children. A recreational pilgrimage to Firule grew more popular as the tennis center was organized here. Nikola Pilic, Zeljko Franulovic, Goran Ivanisevic learned their first serve here as well as Mario Ancic and Jelena Kostanic. Indeed, a must-mention on our list of Split Beaches.”

It is a green oasis, which has been cherished by the citizens of Split for generations and is considered the ‘lungs of the city.’ It covers a vast area, the size of New York’s Central Park and offers a myriad of activities and sites. There are countless paths what wend through the forests and along the coast, revealing a well-tendered landscape, jagged beaches, vista points, ancient chapels, and even a zoo.”
