“Wawa Dam was built during American colonial era in 1909 as the only source of water supply for the people in the city. Today, it is an abandoned reservoir visited mostly by hikers as the place is in between Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan.”

“Unlike other mountains, Mt. Pamitinan offers a challenging yet refreshing trail for first-time hikers. Its peak is 426+ meters above sea level (MASL), and it takes roughly an hour and a half to three hours until you reach the summit. With a difficulty level of 3/9, this mountain in Rodriguez, Rizal, allows you to discover and unleash your inner strength with its steep trails and pointed rock formations. The climb is manageable but will surely require complete concentration and care. ”

“Mt. Ayaas is a pleasant addition to the outdoor destinations of Rodriguez, Rizal. While Pamitinan, Binacayan, and Hapunang Banoi are practicality look-alikes, Mt. Ayaas is a mountain made distinctive by its river trekking and grassland slopes. Moreover, it is arguably the most challenging of the hikes in the area – even though all of them are relatively easy and are, as of July 2015, rated as Difficulty 3/9.”
