“Dungeness is fascinating. I always expect to see a Peggotty from Charles Dickens's David Copperfield walking towards me. The place is a rambling village on the beach. There is nothing quite like it anywhere else. There is no order or design - it appears to have bypassed the planning system! Good grub at the pub and also at the RHDR Restaurant.”

“Romney Marsh is quite unique. With its gentle byways you can drive, cycle, stroll or hike around this beautiful part of Kent and visit the various villages steeped in Norman heritage. It is flat, therefore easy cycling! Excellent sand beaches at nearby Dymchurch and Greatstone. A 13-mile beach-side walking-and-cycling esplanade runs from almost our front door to Folkestone.”
