“ The Sümeg Castle is one of the most beautiful, relatively intact medieval fortresses of the country, built on a bare hilltop high above its surroundings. The castle consists of three large units, the outer, inner and citadel. Its construction can be divided into several periods. The oldest part of the castle was built in the 1260s, the lower level of the Old Tower of the citadel A Sümegi Vár az ország egyik legszebb, viszonylag épen megmaradt középkori erődje, amely a környezetéből magasan kiemelkedő kopár hegytetőre épült. A vár területileg három nagyobb egységből, a külső-, a belső és fellegvárból áll. Építése több korszakra osztható. Az 1260-as években épült meg a vár legrégebbi része.”
