Saint Leonards Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Saint Leonards

Our fabulous, vintage shabby-chic one bedroom Victorian flat, with breathtaking sea views across the English Channel, is only minutes from the beach and picturesque Old Town, with its boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and bars.
I've been renting my bright, seaside flat since January 2015. Earlier this year, the flat was completely redecorated, and is now even fresher... with a newly tiled kitchen and bathroom. The Flat: An elegant 1 bedroom flat with unobstructed sea views across the West Hill Common, the East Hill Nature Reserve and the English Channel. Boasting dark wooden floors throughout, an open marble fire place, high ceilings, tastefully decorated in vintage seaside charm, making it a very attractive and convenient one-bedroom holiday apartment to suit 2 (or 4) people. Bedroom: Has a relaxing and extremely comfortable double bed with plenty of light during the day and black-out curtains at night. The bedroom has two windows, facing the back of the house, which are double glazed, allowing you to have a quiet nights sleep. There are a selection of books and magazines to read on the vast shelves of the bedroom (please leave the books and magazines in the flat, or have a chat with me about borrowing any, if you are too engrossed in a story to leave it behind ;-) A cot bed can be provided for babies/ toddlers, with prior warning. Just outside the bedroom, you will find a Phillips iron and ironing board as well as a useful umbrella for those rainy English days, and a sun tent to protect the little ones when it's too hot on the beach. In this same cupboard you can find a laundry hanger, a wooden baby's high chair, a Henry Hoover, mop, broom and a wicker mat for the beach. Living Room: With a gorgeous grey marble fireplace as its centrepiece and TRULY unobstructed breathtaking sea views across the West Hill, East Hill and English Channel. The living room also benefits from a (John Lewis) double sofa bed, to cater an additional two people. In the antique "gramophone" you can find a selection of cocktail glasses and some bottles of "grog". I have also provided a wicker basket of children's toys, to entertain little ones, should they also be our guests and a backgammon/chess set, plus Trivial Persuit for "bigger kids". A retro DAB radio - with iPod/iPhone dock - can be found on the "gramophone", to add a bit of ambience to your stay. There is also a selection of magazines, for your browsing pleasure, in the magazine rack. (Please leave the books and magazines in the flat) *Please note there is no television in the flat... although there is a TV licence so you can enjoy all licenced channels on laptops, iPads and other devices. Kitchen: A tidy and intimate kitchen, with gorgeous reclaimed teak work surfaces, which benefits from a washer/dryer, fridge, double oven, 4 hob gas cooker and all the conveniences of a modern home. You can find a kettle, toaster, hand blender, a wide selection of glasses, mugs, plates and vases as well as a few cook books to inspire you (if you are thinking of eating in). A selection of "Take Away" menus can be found on the rack in the hallway - If you are a fan of Indian food Jali is a favourite of ours. Under the sink you will be able to find any cleaning products you may need during your stay. A fire extinguisher (in case of emergency) is located to the left of the kitchen, on the counter. Next to the kettle you will find a "TIP JAR", for you to add a contribution if you break or misuse anything. Please be as generous as you feel is right to, so that guests after you can also enjoy these added perks. In the kitchen I have added a folder (red) with all my favourite places to eat, drink, see and do in Hastings. Bathroom: A light and modern bathroom, with toilet, sink, bathtub and hand held shower. Body soap, shampoo/conditioner and varying bubble bath bottles can be found here too. In the bathroom you will also find a small first aid kit, in case of emergencies (and in case of Hair Emergencies, a Vidal Sassoon full power hair dryer, a curling wand and BabyBliss travel hair straighteners can be found in the bedroom on top of the red cupboard).
The flat is situated in one of the best, prime spots of Hastings, making it an ideal "home from home" location to enjoy this picturesque town to its full. It is also convenient should you wish to visit historic Battle, picture perfect Rye, the sandy beaches of Camber, quaint Winchelsea or enjoy a show at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. During certain local festivities - like the Jack in the Green Festival in May and Bonfire Night in October - our flat is in an ideal spot! You will be able to enjoy the parades and firework displays from the comfort of the living room, as the flat has the PERFECT views to sample these festivities without getting lost in the crowds. Hastings Old Town is only a 5 minute walk across the West Hill common, where you will find a wide selection of restaurants, pubs, bars, cafe's, independent shops, the Jerwood Art Gallery, the Electric Palace Cinema (an independent cinema), award winning fish 'n' chip shops, fabulous bric 'a' brac stalls, antiques stores and of course... the beach... with all its attractions. You can easily walk to the main Town Centre (10 minutes), where you can find Priory Meadow Shopping Centre and enjoy a wide selection of shops (including the usual suspects like M&S, H&M, Topshop...), supermarkets, banks, the White Rock Theatre, the Odeon Cinema and Hastings Pier. Hastings train station is only a 15 minute walk away and easily accessible on foot. Taxi's are always available outside the station or you can ring 24/7 Taxi's to book one ahead of your arrival.
  • Bindu accepted my booking with literally no notice at all after my original accommodation was double booked when I arrived to check in. She was extremely patient, helpful and flexible with very quick and friendly communication. Had a lovely stay there and the views really are breathtaking! Would definitely come again and recommend to others.

    Gemma2015-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Bindu met us at the flat to show us all the flat and all its amenities, quirks and answer any questions we had about the property. Most helpful was the folder of what to do in the area and most importantly at that time, where to eat! The property was ideally located with a great view and close to town. There were 4 of us with 1 bedroom and space enough with the couch pulling out to a sofa bed.

    Ashley2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Bindu was such a wonderful host! I booked the flat for my mum and step-dad as a birthday treat and Bindu was so helpful at arranging everything and being in constant contact that I didn't worry at all about sending them off to Hastings on their own. Needless to say they had an incredible stay in Bindu's flat and particularly enjoyed the beautiful view from the window... I received lots of photos of the sea from the sitting room window at various times of the day! Thank you Bindu for looking after them so well and helping to provide such a brilliant birthday getaway.

    Laura2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bindu made this stay really easy and pleasant for us. The flat is a really nice little place, thoughtfully decorated and well supplied with everything we needed, and Bindu was very flexible and helpful about things like checkin and making it comfortable for us. Thanks for a lovely stay.

    Francine2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was lovely and cozy, with an amazing view looking across the ocean. The place is very convenient walkable distance from most of the attractions, and the town aswell. Overall, I had an amazing stay.

    Ke Nie2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bindu's place is amazing - the views really are breathtaking! So much thought has gone into all the little details to make it the perfect stay. A lovely little walk down to the seafront with lots of lovely shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. Would definitely recommend!

  • Perfect little flat beautifully decorated and with all necessary amenities. Lilr a little home from home. Bindu was very flexible and accomodating. No doubt we will be back.

    Cheryl2015-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Bindu. We had a lovely time in Hastings and your beautiful flat really enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed sitting in that lovely sunny, airy room and soaking in the view. Clean, comfortable (great bed) we left rested and refreshed. We had everything we needed and would recommend without hesitation.

Lovely seafront ground floor apartment in St Leonards. Recently refurbished, easy access and great views! A very short walk from all St Leonards has to offer.
This is a lovely ground floor apartment on the main seafront road between St Leonards and Hastings. It's a short walk from the main St Leonards Warrior Square station. It has two bedrooms – one master with a KINGSIZE bed (5'), and one more bijou with a SMALL double (4'). It's ideally suitable for two friends, couples, or families with one or possibly two children. The main space is a living room/kitchen with a small table and chairs, 3 seat sofa (not a sofabed and unsuitable for sleeping), television and wifi. Lovely sea views through the traditionally styled Regency windows! The main bedroom has a kingsize bed (5'). The small double bedroom has a small double bed (4'). There is a bath/shower room with toilet and handbasin. Through the door in the small bedroom, there is a courtyard space (still under transformation!) There is two hour parking outside and around the apartment from 8am-6pm. A little further west along Marina and behind Marine Court, the large ship-style building, there's free parking. Buses stop right outside, taking you along the coast to Hastings. Taxis are plentiful, see info pack.
You'll be only a short walk from Warrior Square Station, and moments away from all the St Leonards attractions: Norman Road with it's quirky antique shops and the fabulous Baker Mamonova Gallery with it's cafe/restaurant and boutique cinema. You can browse the second hand shops in the King's Road, have a Monmouth coffee in home store SHOP, and then head off along the seafront for a stroll to Hastings. The recently renovated Hastings Pier is a must-visit, just a few minutes walk along the seafront. Recommended eateries are St Clements for a fine dining experience, Half-Man Half-Burger for great... burgers! And Pizzarelli for take-away and delivered delicious pizzas, or eat in at the new restaurant space. A little further along Marina is The Edge cafe, beautifully decorated and great for a light lunch or coffee and cake. All within easy walking distance.
  • We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it thoroughly, a quaint and pretty flat with enough room in the two bedrooms for my wife and I and our 6 and 3 year old girls. Check in and comms ahead of time were perfect and it was great to arrive to some crumpets and jam + tea and coffee were provided which made it a joy to arrive. The view of the sea from the front window is lovely too, great location for the beach. We'd recommend without hesitation.

  • Deborah was always on hand to help with our booking and the flat was as pictured, beautiful. We had a great break and would definitely book again if in Hasting/St-Leonards.

  • We had a great stay in Deborah's beautiful seaside apartment. The decor and furnishings were excellent, the view superb and all arrangements went smoothly. I highly recommend a seaside escape here. Thank you Deborah!

    Michelle2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Deborah's lovely flat. It is calm, stylish and perfectly located for exploring all the gems St Leonards has to offer. The flat had everything we needed - we look forward to our next visit!

  • Beautiful Warm Apartment opposite the beach. Stunning Views. Will book again soon. Thanks Deborah.

    David2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful seaside retreat and lovely host. Deborah was very sweet as we missed our train and stuck around an extra hour to get us in and settled. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

    Dayna2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely modern flat - bed was sooooo comfortable! We loved walking down the beach to Hastings to all the trendy cafes and coffee shops, and just down the road there is an amazing burger place ( half man half burger- i think?) Flat was in a perfect position as it was just enough away from all the buzz but only a short walk to it- Must Visit!

    Ellyn2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we love our staying at Deborah's place. The apartment was very clean, and spacious for three of us. The living area was very comfortable, the main bedroom was a nice room with super comfy bed, the second bedroom was a particularly sweet bedroom tuck at the back. Would return anytime! Had lunch at Maggie's fish and chip restaurant. One of the best we have ever had. Must book in advance! Thank you Deborah it was nice meeting you.

The neighbourhood is very friendly and has many cafes and things to do which I am happy to help with. There are festivals and celebrations all year round and often live music in different venues around the town . Below the appartment there is a mix of cafes/restaurants and vintage shops and the Azur opposite has a stunning sea front terrace directly overlooking the sea.
  • Spacious, clean and comfortable. Only 10-15 walk from St Leonard's Warrior station. Good selection of shops and cafes nearby. Highly recommended.

  • We spent a weekend at Lou's place as an escape from the city. Perfectly located 10 mins walk from the station the flat is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, spacious with everything you need. As far as things to do. There's a bike shop underneath the flat which you can rent bikes from for £10 a day. We cycled along the path to Eastbourne which is highly recommend. We ate dinner back in St Leonard's at the cinema Lou suggested which was a great meal.

    Joanna2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely flat with lots of space to relax in, including a TV, DVDs and a radio. Nice kitchen with cooking facility and Lou even got us some bits and pieces for breakfast. Very central, within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs. Lou is extremely helpful and even posted my DVD that I forgot in the to me!

    Effi 2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • I know Hastings and St Leonard's pretty well (and love it) so there were no surprises with regards to the area - it's wonderful! Lou's flat was accurately listed and everything from our first request to book to the minute we left was fab. It's quite a quirky place! Lou made sure all was well and that we had everything we needed to make our stay great - including leaving us a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy whilst making the most of the fabulous sea views from the balcony. Communication was excellent. I would happily recommend this place and hope to return myself one day!

    Marianne2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really comfy flat with a great sea view from the balcony. Lou was a very helpful host! :)

    Eva2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely flat with a great sea view from the balcony. A perfect base for discovering the area and immediate access to the promenade for a easy and scenic walk into Hastings. A nice bottle of wine upon arrival was also appreciated.

    Martin2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The general overall feeling of Lou's place was not quite what we were anticipating, but Lou was very accommodating with our change of plans. The place is quite spacious (just needs a few updates) with a close proximity to the beach.

    Lori2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • the listing was accurate and love st leonards. Very impressed by how roomy the apartment was and got a much appreciated bottle of wine!

Come stay in our quirky flat situated in an ample Victorian pile. Perfect for those seeking an alternative to the uniformity of hotels. We are rigorous about cleaning but this is an old building with burners so expect a bit of grit.
Spacious flat with 2 bedrooms. It's close to shops, beach and train station. Quirky & comfy it has woodburners & sleeps 6 (in proper beds). It's perfect for families but the master bedroom makes it great for couples, too with or without a car! Welcome to our retreat in St Leonard's. Our place reflects the eclectic nature of St Leonard's very well, beautiful if a little run down in places. It is in a large, rambling Victorian house, but has its own charm and we have made sure it is cosy. You have an entire 2 bedroom flat at your disposal with its own private entrance. The master room has a double bed and the second room has 2 bunk beds sleeping 4 singles, so the flat can accommodate 6 in total without compromise. We can provide a travel cot if you need one All bedding is pure cotton and the towels are good quality too. The rooms are furnished with retro pieces and knick knacks which we have picked up in the local area providing plenty of character throughout. To the rear is a private terrace, for evening BBQs or you can drink tea (or G&T) in the sunny front garden. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge and another stove which takes smokeless fuel in the rear room, so this is a cosy retreat all year round. We are continuing to work on the interiors and have plans for the kitchen which we have not been able to realise yet. We also respond to feedback - so if there is anything guests think can improve the experience we will act on that as soon as we reasonably can. We can now even boast a recently refurbished bathroom. However this is our holiday home too so the suggestion would have to be something we like. For example - we will never get a microwave! The flat is a 7 minute walk from St Leonard's Warrior Square station (which has a direct line to London) and a 7 minute downhill stroll to the beach (you can see the sea from the front gate). There is also free on-street parking right outside if driving. St Leonard's is renowned for it's artists, artisans and quirky shops full of vintage and retro fare, antiques, haberdashery, art galleries, cafes........ all of these are a short walk from the flat. Don't forget to stop off at the Saint Leonard on London Road for a drink and bar snack (dogs and children welcome) or visit St Leonard's oldest pub, the Horse and Groom (known locally as the Doom and Gloom, but don't let that put you off) for a more traditional pub experience. Along the seafront is Hastings and a little further is the Old Town with its bustling vintage shops and fishing huts, cafes, restaurants and the newly opened Jerwood Gallery. Year round there is plenty to do: Springtime walks through the bluebell woods at Battle or Brede. Beach in the summer. Every September Hastings hosts "Coastal Currents' a festival of visual arts that infiltrates most cafes, shops and galleries as well as less likely sites such as the seafront - anything is possible. The Seafood Festival is also held mid-September every year. October - Hasting's has its own Bonfire night (a procession, a giant bonfire and firework finale). Autumnal walks in Hastings Country Park (amazing cliff top views across the channel). If the blustery walks are not for you there are plenty of shops cafes and amusements to retreat to as well as galleries, including the Jerwood Hastings and De La Warr Pavillion Bexhill. We like to be as flexible as possible about checking in and out times, but if guests are checking out the same day you arrive then check in will be after 3pm. If guests are checking in the same day you are checking out then check out will be by 11am. Please note that for most of the year the minimum stay is 2 nights. However, during the summer holidays the minimum stay is 1 week, and at other peak times we do give preference to longer stays. Though if at short notice the apartment is still available we will consider shorter bookings.
St Leonard's itself is a rough diamond - it is full of beautiful Regency and Victorian buildings - many looking ravaged by time but just as many being restored to glory. Artists and artisans have made their homes here so the town has a rich mix of creatives, locals and some abandoned souls. Our house is near the top of a hill and what we like about this area is the scale of the houses and the streets - it is all very sumptuous, though neglected in places. We love that we can see the sea from our front gate and that we can walk easily to the station, the shops and the beach. And we looove the range of shops and galleries that are just down the road from us selling all kinds of handmade, craft and retro items.
  • Great flat, we had a brilliant time in Hastings. We would definitely stay again :-)

    Coralie2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely little flat! very nice and homely, convenient. Loved it1 Thank you very much :-)

    Helen2013-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's apartment was a great place to stay in St Leonard's, easy to find and close enough to the front. We used it as a base for a weekend of activities in Bexhill to the west and Camber Sands to the east but still found time to enjoy some of the cafes and restaurants along Marina/Grand Parade. I liked the slightly bohemian and arty feel of St Leonard's and the apartment reflected that atmosphere nicely.

    Adrian2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying in Julie's home from home. It was the perfect place to enjoy St Leonard's and the surrounding areas. Fortunately the weather was great but it would have been lovely to try out the wood burner. Julie was kind enough to get in touch very quickly to let me know we had left some things behind and help arrange to get them back. Would recommend a visit.

    Sophie2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay in a charming flat owned by smashing folk. We spent our 5th anniversary in this sweet garden flat and loved every minute of it. Would suggest everyone into a bit of the (comfy) peculiar to go and stay at Julie's and enjoy! See you again soon!

    maxine2013-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • As luck would have it, we met and had a lovely chat. Julie is a great host and very helpful with honest advice about Hastings. The flat has a good atmosphere and the bedroom iso wonderfully dark and quiet, when you wake up you're not sure if you have. Great for insomnia sufferers.

    Paul2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Hastings and Julie's apartment was perfect for us. Just a couple of minutes walk from the beautiful beach, and from the St Leonards train station. And unexpectedly just a hundred meter away from the childhood home of one of my husbands personal hero, the mathematician, code breaker and computer pioneer Alan Turing. The flat was beautifully decorated in a personal style. We spent a couple of days on the beach and discovering Hastings, but then we took the train to Brighton one day, Bexhill one day, and my mother and I went to Great Dixter (a famous garden) one day, we recommend all these activities. In conclusion, we had a great week and Julie's apartment provided the perfect base camp!

    Johanna2014-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really had a great time in Julies flat. We had everthing we needed. The flat was clean, spacious and bedrooms are very comfortable. Communication with Julie was always nice.

A gorgeous bright and airy penthouse apartment enjoying panoramic sea views. The perfect spot to sit and watch the sun sparkling on the water, but equally impressive to see the ocean crashing on the shore during a storm.
The flat is on the fourth floor of a Victorian terrace on the sea front, so the views are really magnificent. You can't get much closer to the beach than this! If you want to get away from it all, yet be within easy reach of quirky St Leonards and quaint Hastings old town, this is the perfect place to be. The beach is beautifully clean and quiet down this end, and you can enjoy coastal walks all the way along to Bexhill and beyond. Just 10 minutes walk the other way along the seafront and you can browse the funky retro shops, bars and cafes in St Leonards. Keep walking, or jump in a cab (they're cheap as chips down here) and you're in the heart of Hastings old town. The flat itself has definitely got the wow factor! It's split-level, spacious and flooded with light all year round. Decorated in a funky, contemporary style, it has everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay.
St Leonards enjoys a slightly more gentle pace to Hastings, so it's easier to feel relaxed and on holiday down this end. At the same time, you're only a short drive from the fun and bustle of Hastings, with its quirky Old Town shops, bars and restaurants. I've heard St Leonards described as Nottinghill-on-Sea, which I think perfectly captures its quirky, arty feel. I love all the vintage shops and art galleries, and the fact that everywhere you go in St Leonards, there is the wonderful backdrop of the sea.
  • A wonderful apartment in a great location and a stunning view. Emma was responsive with all communications and we were very happy with our stay.

    Paul2014-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Emma is so helpful and welcoming, booking the property was made easy as Emma is so quick to reply. The property is as described if not better, it is a stunning apartment. The area is beautiful, a mixture of new and old. The beach is beautiful and Hastings Old Town is not to be missed. I recommend walking the seafront instead of taking a cab/bus if u can as there is so much to see.

    Clare2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's flat is really stunning and luxurious and made for a truly relaxing stay for myself and my partner. The flat is so thoughtfully designed to reflect the quirky, vintage side of St Leonards and Hastings. It is also impeccably clean. It's right on the seafront and has a lovely balcony at the back with table and chairs. It is an easy walk into St. Leonards and a longer walk into Hastings (or a £5 taxi ride). We found that other parts of St.Leonards would not feel particularly safe (around St Leonards Warrior Square) particularly at night or if you had small children but this area seemed fine. We would definitely consider going back there, possibly with another couple (as there was ample space!). We would highly recommend it!

    Rebecca2014-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, great views :) highly recommend

    Clive2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's seafront apartment is truly stunning. It is exactly as Emma describes. The location is spectacular, and we four believed it to be the perfect holiday accommodation. We cycled along the coast, we hiked up the Downs, we visited Hastings, Bexhill on Sea, Rye and Eastbourne. There was so much to do and see. We could easily have stayed longer. Yes, we can highly recommend this beautiful place. It was superb! Spacious and wonderfully decorated. Thank you, Emma! :)

    Christine2014-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Emma's flat. It's clean & modern, warm & comfortable, and has a beautiful view of the sea. We would definitely like to return :)

    Danielle2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in August for 5 days wiht my husband and adult daughter. We all loved the apartment. It is very comfortable, warm, light and airy, well equiped and beautifully decorated. The balconies, front and back, are a joy with views over the seafront and roof tops, and mean you can always sit and relax in the sunshine, if it's out. It is so close to the sea that you can hear the waves breaking on the beach from inside most parts of the apartment and it is less than a mintute's walk to the beach. There was free parking opposite and we always found a space. You can walk into the centre of Hastings in about 25 minutes. The six flights of stairs kept us fit. Emma was prompt, efficient and helpful in responding to emails and texts.

    Caroline2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We are overwhelmed by the amazing interiors! Very very clean and neat place. Well-equipped, beautiful view. You fall asleep to the lullaby of the sea waves and wake up to the lapping waves too! Definitely tops in cleanliness. Thank you Emma!

  • Dave was a great host and has a really nice apartment in a great location. Close to shops, restaurants and right next to the pier. The only downside is, as mentioned in other reviews, during the day it's a little noisy, mainly from music coming from the shop below. However this is only during working hours so if you don't plan on being in during the day it won't be a problem.

  • This place was great and the attention to detail was perfect!

  • Good location with shops and restaurants very nearby. Flat could be a bit noisy with window open but really not an issue. Communication was easy and prompt. We used the underground parking . Register with automatic payment so that you don't had to get out of bed at 7am to pay!! It's £3 I think for 24 hrs!

  • Excellent location. Warm welcome. Very well equipped flat, very clean and comfortable. Host generously supplied basics for breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets).
This studio is a modern hideaway in an urban village - part of a church hall conversion with white walls, oak (under heated) floors, and double glazed warmth and silence. It is for the sophisticated holidaymaker looking for on hand urban facilities, good restaurants, galleries, interesting shopping and local culture. But also easy access to the tourist attractions of the area - castles, gardens, country houses, villages and ancient towns. It would suit holidaymakers interested in history, architecture, music, art - also great for cliff walking, birdwatching.
  • Very nice studio near the water.

  • I had a lovely stay at Jemma's place. Jemma was really helpful and got back to me very quickly with any queries I had. Jemma's place is in a great location. It was a lovely studio with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend Jemma's place.

  • Cozy, very quiet, tasteful and close to shopping, train and seashore. Would love to comeback!

  • Very comfortable bed for a great night's sleep and overall well equipped apartment that is well presented and clean. In a really interesting part of town for 'art cinema', music and food and drink. Many convenience stores. Really enjoyed it and would stay again.

  • I found my stay at the sea studio wonderful. The location was perfect, only being a short walk from the sea, essential shops and train station. The sea studio itself met all my expectations. The kitchenette had everything that was needed and the bed was luxurious. Jemma was a lovely host and was easy to contact when needed. I would gladly stay again.

A fantastic comfortable, spacious, and clean two bedroom apartment on the third floor opposite the seafront. Double beds and well equipped kitchen. My place is close to St Leonards/Hastings, Pier, attractions & restaurants, etc. You’ll love it here because of the seafront location and views, cosy living spaces, the natural light, and the comfy beds. The flat is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). *New carpets in the bedrooms.
The living room is a great size with a comfy lounging sofa and big 50 inch TV, freeview, and a selection to DVDs for all ages. The triple bay window has fantastic views out to sea, along the seafront to the Pier and Old Town. You can hear the live music on the Pier really well like you're there but without the crowds! (Bands are regularly playing.) To the West you can see the Sovereign Harbour lighthouse out to sea and along to Beachy Head. The dining table seats up to 6 people. There's a well equipped kitchen with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, etc. There's a king sized comfy bedroom to the rear and a seafront double bedroom. The bathroom is perfect with a bath and well pressured shower overhead. Unlimited WIFI, towels & linen provided, hair dryer, tea/coffee/sugar.
Quiet flat and great location with lots of restaurants, bars, live music and events to enjoy. Art galleries are in abundance too. Pier is a two minute walk. Old Town is 15 minutes walk. For restaurants, I recommend: Graze on the Grand (up market restaurant) Nicos (Kings Road) Bay Spice (collection and delivery too) Bella Vista (St Leonards Italian on the sea front) Diegos (South American) Pizzarelli (lunch time pizza is £9 and on the Sea front, also delivery service) St Leonards pub (London style pub, hip & trendy!) Smiths/Kassa/Bonjour (all day time sea front cafes) The Crown (All Saints Street, Hastings Old town- super pub and fantastic food. Won regular National Awards for both). Jali (Indian by Chatsworth Hotel just past the Pier- fine dining, good price) Isabellas (Greek in George Street, Old Town) Thai Book Shop (next door to the above and yum!) Children (Clambers play center nearby, Summerfields for swimming; there's a body board under the master bed and a chair for the beach; kayaks and SUP hire opposite the flat; the arcades and go karting/mini golf in the Old Town). Coffee (The Pier/ White Rock Hotel/ Costa and Nero in town/ Hanuska in the Old Town (highly recommended!) Jerwood Art Gallery; The Stade; Norman Road galleries; Old Town antiques Local fish caught and sold down on the Rock a Nore sea front in the Old Town Regular art gallery shows and live music in all the Old Town pubs especially on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons, plus various festivals all year round.
  • The place was spacious and quite, with a spectacular view of the sea. We had the wifi expired, but Gemma quickly replaced it with another one once we informed her. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend it.

    Jin2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The view was gorgeous, and the apartment was really comfortable - one bedroom in particular has the most beautiful view of the sea. Check-in was quick and easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Maria2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gemma is an amazing host. She sent detailed and accurate information before our arrival to tell us how to access the property, parking etc. She was very helpful and understanding over dropping/leaving bags. We were coming by train with 2 dogs and multiple heavy bags so being able to drop them early/collect them late was much appreciated. The flat itself is very centrally located, clean and modern in design. The views alone make this place the place to stay. Absolutely breathtaking sea views. From the sofa area all you can see from the window is the water. The only regret was not staying for longer.

    Anna2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and a friend stayed here one night to make a weekend of a visit to Hastings & St Leonard's. I had read good reviews of this place and the photos gave a good appearance of cleanliness and comfort. Some reviews had said not to be put off by the shabby exterior and communal stair area so anticipated all to be good once inside the flat. However both myself and friend were very disappointed. Although the towels and linens were clean, they were tired, greyed off and overused, which gave an immediate bad impression (what appeared to be a tea towel was used in the bathroom as a hand towel and the towel rail above the radiator was missing with just the fixings poking out of the wall). Bathroom was however clean and the shower was decent. The living room furniture was also tired looking and details such as accessories were not well thought through (a pot with some rough looking birds feathers in it)??? The kitchen although not really used by us for looked clean and useful if you wanted to stay for longer periods. I slept (not very well) in the front sea view room. I had booked this a while ago so I was surprised to see a more recent review of a roof leak in this room (as my friend an I reminded ourselves of where we were staying). However there were some good reviews after this incident so I wasn't worried. However, the water stained furniture was still there along with the carpet, which had a poorly fitting carpet remnant covering the stain. Shabby and nothing chic about it. My bed had an incline so I felt like I was rolling out of bed. Pillows were not comfortable although the mattress seemed decent. The valance sheet had dirty marks on it to add to the uninviting bedding. The sea views of course were lovely but we didn't want to stay too long to enjoy them. The location is great and the host contactability was good. If I had been alone, I would have left to try and find other accommodation but as it was the food fair, I dare say accommodation would be limited and also I did not want to spoil the 24 hours we were there for. Once out, there are some great places to eat and have morning coffee in the area and Hastings is walkable and lots to do. My friend and I had a good stay in the town but it was dampened by our stay in the flat. If you don't have any great expectations give it a go but for us it was not worth the money and there are clearly issues that need to be addressed with the building itself and the flats interior.

  • Stayed for one night at Gemma's place. The apartment was clean and spacious. Super comfy sofas and beds, and a stunning view of the seafront from the living room. Highly recommend should you need a private space in Hastings.

    Daniel2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing sea views, great location for enjoying Hastings and seaside, well furnished, well decorated flat with all the amenities you may need. Quiet neighbours. Comfy beds - we slept very well. I enjoyed this stay much more than when I stayed in a hotel nearby. Gemma's restaurant suggestions were spot on. Only 2 things to note: wifi is for basic browsing only and free parking may be hard to find on busy weekends. Gemma is always available for questions and advice. Overall had an enjoyable stay, thank you!

Stunning, newly-renovated, open plan apartment on the 1st floor with floor to ceiling windows looking out to sea. Hastings Pier and St Leonards train station are 5 mins walk and there are plenty of restaurants & bars within easy walking distance. Contemporary kitchen, with central island where you can have a cup of coffee or glass of wine and watch the sunset... In the bedroom, open the huge double doors and you can lie in bed and still see the sea! Modern, en-suite bathroom.
There are lots of small restaurants, bars, cafes & retro shops within easy walking distance. You can walk (or cycle) for miles along the seafront in both directions (High Tide Cycle Hire is 1 block away). Hastings Old Town is definitely worth a browse for its eclectic mix of shops but also for the Museum and the funicular railways up the cliffs to enjoy the view or visit the Smugglers Caves.
  • Tara's beach flat is amazing. The Channel view is unbeatable, and the flat itself it light, airy, and well-appointed, giving it a dreamy feel. It's located near the Hastings pier and a short distance away from a car park. Tara was very responsive via text, cell, or email and check-in with the lock box was very easy. We would absolutely stay in Tara's flat again on our next trip. and would highly recommend it to friends.

  • Tara's place is fabulous! From the location...(everything you could have possibly needed within short walking distance).... the sea views.... (endless... simply stunning.... everything you could need for maximum relaxation) the bed (so comfy)... and all the facilities to stay in if you don't fancy leaving the stylish cosy apartment. Spot on!

    Tanya2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great apartment from which to explore Hastings. On arrival the place was spotless, always a good sign. The apartment is clean, fresh and well appointed. Although we never actually met Tara face to face the communication was excellent and we were confident that had there been any problems she would have been on the case straight away. As we a walkers we needed to park our car up for the duration of our weekend stay. Parking outside the address is limited to a two hour slot so we parked in the road behind (for free) which was a minute walk away. A summer stay might be more difficult to find a free space but about 200 metres away is a car park you can stay for 24 hours for about £6 so no big deal. Within a 3 minute walk of the apartment are two great little restaurants and numerous small cafes etc. It's a good 20 to 30 minute walk to the Old Town but directly outside the apartment is a bus stop if that is too far for you. For us (even though we stayed during 70 mile an hours winds and torrential rain) we had a great weekend and can highly recommend the Hastings Gem.

    Nigel2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tara is the paragon of an AirBnB hostess! Excellent communication, fantastic local tips (that really helped given our late arrival on the first night), alongside the thoroughly cleaned apartment and ideal location made this a fantastic trip. Apartment is well stocked and quirky. Modern and clean, gorgeous views and a very comfy bed. Outside is equally beautiful (and don't be put off by the flat hallway, the apartment is nothing like it!). On minor non-positive point to note is that the parking is a bit of nightmare, but there's a local paid car park for only £3.20 for 24 hours just up the road. Couple maybe do with some curtains too, but we didn't mind :)

    Sam2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is gorgeous. Great sea views, actually feels like you could even be out at sea if looking whilst in bed! I had a little difficulty finding exactly which one it was but suspect that was because I arrived late and it is nestled in between two other street names. Wonderful host, even left bread, butter milk and wine! I would recommend this place and I would stay again

The property has been recently decorated and has some lovely spaces for everyone to be together. The beach, local coffee shops, restaurants etc are just a short walk away but if you want to stay in and cook, the kitchen is well equipped. Jos and Rose were great hosts and I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a property without an active review but it turned out I shouldn't have worried at all. Ben contacted me as soon as I booked and gave me full instructions on how to access the property, a brief rundown of the features and their operation and contact details. The property itself was perfect - ten minutes walk from the train station. The property is separated from the beach by only one road, and the property itself was stunning. It was immaculate, with everything you need for a break present, including hand soap, detergent, washing liquid etc. There is a full stocked kitchen with brand new crockery and utensils. The beds were clean and comfortable. Ben stayed in regular contact throughout our stay. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat - we had a fantastic weekend, thank you so much!

My place is close to The heart of St Leonard's on Sea, with its cafes, restaurants and independent cinema. The beach is 5 minutes walk away, as is the station, for trains to Brighton, London and Ashford International. Hastings Old Town, with nightlife, quaint shops and fresh fish caught daily, is a 30 minute walk along the sea front. Hastings Pier, newly renovated, is a 15 minute walk along the sea front.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

  • I would highly recommend staying with Philippa and Bill, not only are they excellent hosts who are interesting to talk to but the bedroom, location and amenities are spot on. I was instantly made to feel welcome in their home and was able to treat it as my own, which is really nice when you are working away from home. My bedroom was large, clean, tidy, the bed really comfortable and they provided everything i needed from towels to a shelf in the fridge. Little touches like flowers in my room and being able to use their home grown mint in my tea were much appreciated. I will definitely be staying here again the next time i am in St. Leonards.

    Kirsty2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Philippa and Bill are warm, welcoming hosts and their home was a calm retreat from the busy weekend I spent with friends in St Leonards. This bright, airy room in their spacious house is peaceful, with a comfy bed and beautiful original features. It's only 5 mins to the sea and walking anywhere in St Leonards (and Hastings) is easy from here. I will be returning, thank you!

    Millie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Bill and Phillipa were very friendly and welcoming. They picked me up with luggage. It was very near the town center and seashore. Very big light room. Great conversation.

    Reggie2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend staying with Philippa and Bill. This was my first time staying with the hosts as I usually hire whole houses and if everyone is as lovely and accommodating I will definitely continue to do so. Their house is beautiful and you have plenty of privacy in the large bedroom they have available. It was only a short walk from the station and the beach. So the perfect location for someone looking for a beach getaway. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

    Jane2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay during the Jack in the Green festival. I received a warm greeting from Philippa and Bill which was pretty much a champagne reception. It was a lovely sunny evening and I had a glass of fizz which complimented the sparkling conversation. Bill and Philippa are a lovely couple and will make you feel very welcome. The room I stayed in is big, airy, comfortable bed and has all the furnishings you need. They even put a pamphlet in my room which had all about what was happening in the town that weekend. I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to everyone

    Ian2017-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying with Philippa and Bill amber it was absolutely perfect, couldn't be better. My room is exactly like the picture and they are the perfect hosts. I'll most definitely stay there again when I'm back in Hastings.

We're a short walk to the beach, pier and Hastings (with its wonderful collection of bars, restaurants, junk and antique shops, boutiques, old net huts and fishing history, cultural attractions and Jerwood Gallery). Excellent restaurants, friendly pubs and bars, quirky boutiques, junk shops and cafes, local cinema/theatre and art spaces are close by in St. Leonards. Warrior Sq station is a 3 mins walk. Rye, Battle and Bexhill are a short drive away. Well behaved dogs are very welcome!
A cosy and comfortable double room (max 2 guests) with an en-suite shower room. I provide: soft fluffy towels, crisp white hotel quality bed linen, toilet rolls, a hair dryer and wardrobe to hang clothes and store belongings in. There are black out blinds to ensure a good night's sleep! There is a welcome tray (Fairtrade tea selection, filter and instant coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits) with a kettle and I will provide fresh milk on arrival. I have a wide selection of local info and maps for your reference and can recommend several cafes, restaurants, pubs and activities for a full and fun visit to St. Leonards-on-Sea and Hastings. Beach towels are available for you to use.
St Leonards is a bohemian and creative hotspot and has an eclectic collection of galleries, cafés, vintage shops and treasure troves of junk and antiques. We have impressive Regency architecture by Decimus Burton and the Art Deco Marine Court masterpiece where the newest local venues are found. Half Man Half Burger is a must! Norman Road and Kings Road are the best of St. Leonards with contemporary galleries, quirky cafés and a huge variety of independent shops. We have a new Kino/Teatr which hosts a cinema, art gallery, theatre and bistro and has a full and diverse schedule of arts events. Our local, the St. Leonard pub, is warm, fun and friendly and often has special events scheduled. We are walking distance to Hastings with its own attractions.

St Leonard's is an interesting area with good vintage shops cafes and transport links, and an easy walk into Hastings central. Hadtings Is an excellent base to explore this beautiful corner of England, with great shops pubs and places to eat in the delightful old town. Nadine was very helpful with information about places to visit, eat and drink. She is very friendly and chatty and we loved staying in her lovely home

  • The flat has an amazing view of the sea and beautiful light. It's been decorated nicely and is very comfortable. The beach is right outside the front door and there are several nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Jasper's flat. Jasper was a responsive host and all the booking arrangements went smoothly. The flat itself was stunning, we wanted to move in! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds cosy with quality bedding and the bathroom fittings gorgeous. We only had a weekend and had booked to practice yoga which as it turned out the flat was the perfect space for. We were blessed with wonderful weather and enjoyed a couple of long walks along the seafront and pottering the antique shops. The perfect place for a weekend getaway.

    Jonita2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! The apartment ------------------- Just perfect. Furnished and decorated with taste, we felt home as soon as we passed the doors. It's spacious, cosy, fully equipped with anything you would need even even if you plan on staying more than few days here (even a Bluetooth speaker..!) Beds are comfy, you won't want to leave the sodas, everything is perfectly clean...what to say more...probably the stunning view you have from every windows (when you're stranding up in the living room, the only thing you can see through the 4 massive windows is the sea, boat sensation guaranteed). The location ---------------- Saint-Leonards is cute and on the seafront, but we explored mostly Hastings. This is only 20min walks (or run, or cycle... The seafront is beautiful and reserved to bikes and walkers) from the apartment, really cute. We also walked in the preserved hills looking over the sea, the nature lovers will appreciate! We recommend to eat at the White's Seafood and Steak Bar, in the cute old town, with a delicious local menu at a fair price. The host ----------- We didn't meet the host in person but Jasper was really helpful and available to any contact. He sent us all the information we needed and lots of tips on the location. The checking and checkout were really quick, smooth and easy ! Just go there, the location is beautiful and if it's awfully raining, you won't regret staying in the flat.

  • We had a wonderful few days in the Sea Room. The flat is absolutely beautiful and also very practical and well designed and worked well with having a small child there. The views of the sea are amazing. We had everything we needed to be super comfortable and it was very helpful to have bread, milk, butter and eggs there when we arrived. The whole place was wonderful. Tha bathroom is beautifully designed, with a great deep bath and great shower. St Leonard's is a nice neighbourhood: a bit rough round the edges in places but it felt safe and we felt fine there with our toddler. The rest of Hastings is close too, with lots to do. We checked in late, having been caught in traffic, but Jason, who welcomed us in, was really nice about it and made us feel very at home.

    Emily2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Sea Room is everything you hope and expect it to be - private, quiet, perfectly decorated, comfortable (GREAT beds). The location is fantastic and located close to many shops and sights to see. Because the Sea Room is quite high up you only have a view of the beach and the water and you completely miss the road so it feels all the more perfect. The pictures of the place on airbnb are amazing but when you get there it surpasses your expectations - trust me! Everything is just so perfectly put together and visually beautiful. There is nothing to fault and I can't wait to go back!

    Tom2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous flat, just as the pictures show, and it was a real pleasure to stay there. The location is great with a pretty pebble beach literally on your doorstep - it was the first time our son Joe had seen the sea (since he's been able to pronounce it!) and he absolutely loved it, as did our daughter. James and Jasper were also excellent with communication and at making us feel very welcome, we all highly recommended it.

We were so lucky to have beautiful weather during our stay which meant that we used the balcony to its full potential. We would definitely stay again. Couldn't fault Joe on his communication. He catered for our every need and really made us feel welcome. Thank you.

  • What a beautiful, spacious and clean place to stay. I booked the house for my parent's anniversary,so that me, my wife, my sister, her partner and the folks could all stay together. The location is fantastic, a stones throw from the sea front, the house is beauitfully presented, the facilities are top notch and it is very clean! Susie is extremely friendly, communicative and accomodating to her guests, as we discovered. The fererro rocher left on the pillows were a lovely touch! Also she can recommend some great places to visit whilst you are in the area! We will definitely be staying here again when we get the chance!

  • Susie was great - she gave us all the information we needed and was very quick to respond to enquiries. The apartment was really lovely - very tastefully decorated, much bigger than we imagined it would be - just right for our family of 5, but 3 couples could have stayed there comfortably - fully equipped and wonderfully located. It was a 5-10 minute cycle ride or a 25 minute walk to Hastings Old Town with a big view out onto the sea from the windows. Would highly recommend Susie as a host and Sea View as a location. Thank you Susie!

  • We had a great stay in Susie's flat in St. Leonards. The view was super (we just wish it could have been sunnier!!). The kitchen is very well equipped, the lounge is a great size for a group, the beds are comfortable and the shower/bathroom good too. Susie's communication before the trip was great and we had a very smooth check in/out. We found plenty of parking on the seafront which is a short walk away.

  • I went to St Leonards for the weekend with some friends. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us. It had everything we needed, and was quirky and cosy. The main living/dining room was spacious, with all the mod-cons, and the view of the ocean was a delight at breakfast. Susie was a fantastic host, offering lots of local knowledge. Thanks from all of us!

  • We had a lovely time in Susies seaside home. It was idyllic, right on the sea for long walks, a beautiful cosy fire and the rooms were big, pretty and clean. Would highly recommend!

  • The flat was everything we wished for plus more. Adam and I Friday night and lit the woodburner, had a cozy dinner and found it so comfortable we almost forgot to go to bed! But, so comfy a bed... Beautiful bedroom at the back. Quiet and full of old English charm. Beautiful flat. So well considered. Home from home. 45 minute walk to Hastings in the sun. Discovered new places and old. Lovely views from the flat over the sea. Walkable distance to Mercatoria with its quirky bars and restaurants. Fab. Thank you! We will be back!

Every morning you would wake up by the sun, Big windows and you can see the garden below as well as the sea.

  • It was a pleasure to stay in Arlo's place. Firstly, excellent communication even though we did the whole booking at the very last minute. We arrived there and were let in by Sharon, a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome. She had brought some milk/fruit and buns for us too. The building is quite impressive and the flat was very spacious and clean. The main bedroom was lovely and large. The second bedroom was up in the mezzanine, which is a different space to main bedroom. I was a little nervous about letting my 5 year old stay there and she ended up coming to sleep in our room, but both were lovely spaces. Check in and out easy and overall a really nice stay.

My third floor flat is a two minute walk through Warrior Square gardens to the beach or Norman Rd. with cafes and independent shops, and two minutes from the station. A half hour stroll along the seafront will take you to Hastings Old Town
My flat is cosy and light, and the bedroom has a wide sea view. There are hooks to hang your clothes, two chests of drawers and a large table, which is a lovely place to work - gaze out to sea if you need inspiration! The lounge /kitchen/diner is open plan and gets the evening sun. There is a roomy sofa which someone could sleep on, but advance notice needed for linen (extra charge £10 a night). Fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of places to to eat nearby, both for breakfast, coffee and meals (including a Persian cafe / Opticians!). Shower/bath.
St. Leonard's has some beautiful 18th and 19th century buildings and St. Leonards Gardens is lovely. Kings Road (as you come out of the station) has charity and junk shops, as well as more up market retro and antique shops. Hastings Old Town has an active fishing fleet, and the beach there is home to fishing boats, winches and nets, as well as the Jerwood Gallery. Walking up through the Old Town, you will be able to follow enticing passage ways and twisting streets, with some lovely buildings. Pedestrian George Street is full of interesting shops, as well as a little square where you can play giant chess, and the High Street has lovely architecture. There are two 'lifts' which you can take to go to the higher part of Hastings, where you'll find the remains of the castle, and wonderful green swathe of grass, where you can sit and look down on the Old Town, and out to sea. From the top exit of the East Lift, you can then walk through Hastings Country Park, and down to the beach at the well named Fairlight Glen. I will be happy to lend you a map if you want to go walking. For cultural events, there are films at the quirky Electric Palace Cinema and a couple of minutes from the flat, there is the St. Leonards Kino cinema, which also puts on plays and music. Hastings has lots of pubs where you can here live music, and it's worth checking for bigger names playing at St. Mary in the Castle, originally an early 19th C church, and now a venue for music and theatre. For art, there is the Jerwood, with a permanent collection and changing exhibitions, the Hastings Art Forum showcasing the work of local artists, and a four mile cycle ride along the beach (or a short train journey) will get you to the 1930's De La Warr Pavillion at Bexhill, which has changing exhibitions, bands and stand up comedy. The Towner Gallery at Eastbourne is also fairly near by train or car. The new pier is lovely and spacious -its design is simple and calm, and you can sit there for hours, gazing out to sea. Hastings has many festivals throughout the year, and open air music and performances every Saturday evening at the Stade, next to the Jerwood Gallery.

  • We didn't get a chance to meet Kathy, but our check in and stay were really smooth - Kathy was always really quick with communication, and really flexible in terms of our check in/check out time which meant we never had to haul our bags around with us but could leave them at the flat as soon as we arrived/just before we left which was great. Kathy's flat is minutes from the sea and a lovely walk along the beach to the old town, it was the perfect location:)

Notice all the windows were jus open enough for the beautiful sounds of the ocean to be heard when your snuggled up in bed! AMAZING!! LOVED!!! ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!!!!XX

  • The place is every bit as wonderful as the pictures indicate! Superbly clean, extraordinary well equipped and extremely charming in the way it's decorated! One tip for future guests (and please note, this is NOT a criticism): don't be put off by the road the front door is located. It does not entirely do justice to the flat, but you will not be disappointed; quite the contrary!!! Thanks for having us stay at your wonderful flat! We would be delighted to come back for a longer time!!!

A large apartment, overlooking gardens of Warrior Square and a full view to the sea. For years we have had a holiday home here, and love the place. Just relocating our family locally, this 3 bedroom is now our ‘overspill’ for family and friends, kept as a home. We have accommodated 9, using occasional beds. New to AirBnB, we want to share the cozy and bohemian ambiance our family and friends have enjoyed. Equipped for living; with separate kitchen, dinning, and living rooms.
From the moment you walk in, it is important for us that all guests feel relaxed and at home here. If ever needed, we can be on hand for tips, local knowledge and navigation. This is a large 3 bed apartment on Warrior Square, right in the heart of St Leonards. Two minutes walk to the sea and all the facilities of Norman road and King's road. Just up the road is the Michelin Star awarded St Clement restaurant and the St Leonards pub. The new award winning St. Leonard's Pier is a short walk away along the promenade. This is a holiday home, its homely and has a unique personal touch. You will enjoy the whole, large space but remember, It is maintained to have a homely feel not a hotel experience. Please don't not book if you are looking for 5 star hotel standards. It is comfortable and quirky, cosy and close to all that you will need. Enjoy Three rooms, two with double beds, another large room with two single beds. (There is also a fold out futon/sofa bed in the living room, comfortable sofa, and a double blow up bed available with prior arrangement). One double room has a small sofa and armchair under the window looking out to sea. The twin room is spacious, and the other double is cosy, has its own original sink. Other things to note: This is a family style and has a lovely homely feel including some personal effects. We want you to feel comfortable to use as your own home. There is a collection of books and games, feel free to use and return please.
Located on the seafront it is close to eateries and the wonderful artisan and quirky shops that St Leonards has to offer, and is just minutes from St Leonards Warrior Square train station. A short walk along the promenade, takes you to the theatres, the pier and lively Hastings.
  • Really nice place!

    Jorge2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely view over the park to the sea. Very spacious with the high ceilings. Close enough for a gentle stroll into Hastings, or take a bus, they seemed quite numerous . Some good food outlets very close by. The pier is nice and not too commercialised. Our only issue, was that finding a parking space was difficult. Thanks for letting us stay.

  • fantastic apartment with one of the best see views I have ever had. The host is welcoming and helpful and St Leaonards is close to both Hastings and Eastbour me. The flat is luxurious in size and comfortably appointed. I thoroughly recommend a stay

A newly renovated two bedroom Victorian split level flat at the 'sea-end' of the iconic Wilton House, with sea views from every room, original features, and a free-standing bath. Sleeps four. Twin beds in one bedroom, and a double in the other.
It's a little haven that's closer to the beach than any other property in the area. Just a few meters in fact. It’s very peaceful, away from the main roads and bustle - a perfect getaway. Writers and artists who've stayed said they found it inspiring - all you hear at night is the lapping of the waves. The kitchen A modern kitchen with a ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and a table with chairs, this is a cosy area to sit and eat, or even write. Units designed with the sea and sky symmetry in mind, adorned with a window facing the sea - never will cooking or washing up be such a pleasurable experience (remember to tear your eyes away from the view to task at hand!). Bathroom A stunning Victorian style bathroom, with it's original fireplace (decorative) and metro-tiling. The pièce de résistance is a roll-top free standing bath in which you can luxuriate, lie back, with a gin-and-tonic and a bag of chips,  and watch the sun set over Beachy Head. (nb: The toilet is separate, so take your time.) Bedroom One A large, light space with a queen-sized bed (two separate mattresses for a better night's sleep), and cool 1960's decor. There is a little balcony outside of the window, not easily accessible, and at your own risk. From the bed you can watch the sun rise (if you're an early riser - or haven't been to bed yet) over Grosvenor Gardens and let the sound of the sea lull you into a state of calm. Bedroom Two Just as the other bedroom, but with an extra window that looks out directly to the sea, and an original Victorian fireplace (decorative). It has a double bed and antique furniture. Living Room Again, gorgeous sea views, you're practically on the beach (albeit two floors up). With an eclectic mixture of mid-century and antique furniture, and unique bamboo flooring (at time of writing new to the UK), this displays the owners differing stylistic tastes, coming together in perfect harmony. There is is TV and a selection of sea themed films and books, and retro board games for you to borrow, perfect for a rainy day.
Things to do • The english channel is right outside the front door, so go and enjoy it! (whilst being careful, of course) • Turn right and walk along the coastal path (a nature reserve), if you go at the right time (very low tide) you can see the The Amsterdam Shipwreck (look it up - it's an amazing story), and the ancient sunken forest. Carry on and you’ll reach Bexhill with the lovely De La Warr Pavilion, and if you’re bionic eventually you’ll get to Beachy Head. • Turn left and walk towards Hastings, taking in the beautiful St. Leonards Gardens. Walk down the trendy Norman Road in the Mercatoria area of St. Leonards for vintage shops and cafes. Check out the new Hastings pier which often has events like gigs and outdoor screenings. Enjoy a game of mini-golf before you hit Hastings, and the Ghost Train is a must for its nostalgic un-scariness. Also along the way you'll discover: • the Funicular railway, which takes you up to the West Hill which offers some of the town's most remarkable views • the Jerwood Art Gallery, home to the Jerwood Collection of 20th and 21st century British art. • The old town • The castle • Smugglers’ caves • Fishermen’s huts, and so much more. You're going to need a longer stay. • if you have a car, lovely day trips are to be had to Rye / Camber Sands / Dungeness (home of Derek Jarman’s legendary garden) / Beachy Head (setting of Quadrophenia). Also accessible by bus / train. Special events in Hastings • buxom-women-dressed-as-ravens-who-follow-and-tear-apart-a-human-bush-tree-followed-by-men-in-skirts-do-a-dance-off-pretending-to-beat-each other-with-hankies-and-sticks-day (also known as Jack in the Green). 1st May 2017 • Hastings Half Marathon. 19th March 2017 • Hastings Pirate Day. 16th July 2017 • Hastings Old Town Carnival. 29th July 2017 Best Restaurants in SLOS and Hastings (nb there are constantly new places opening, so this is just a loose guide based on our experience) • Kino Teatr on Norman Road (check opening hours) • Half Man Half Burger • Bella Vista italian • Smiths for breakfast • Cafe Relax - Armenian restaurant for happy hour tapas and beer/wine. • Fish and Chips on Kings Road • The Beacon (great garden areas, especially for kids) • A.G. Hendy & Co sometimes open their kitchen. • Undercliffe House Best pubs • The St. Leonards • The Albion (for live music) • The Printworks Shopping • St. Leonards and Hastings Old Town have fantastic Vintage and antique shops
  • For anyone looking for a seaside break, this accommodation offers stunning sea views, stylish decor and easy access along the front to St Leonard's and Hastings and all that these have to offer.

  • A stunning flat with sea views from every window! Beautiful interiors, comfortable beds and the most gorgeous bathroom imaginable. We had a very enjoyable stay in St Leonards and the location is fantastic, easy to walk into town and not much further to Hastings. Lydia is a great host, we will definitely be returning!

    Stephanie2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely view, great location for small family.

    Hugo2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in a really lovely location! There are sea views from every single window! The flat had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and they even left us a bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. The flat is 5 mins walk to West St Leonards station if you want to get the train anywhere. We walked into St Leonards along the seafront which was around 20 min stroll and then kept walking along the front until we reached Hastings town which was probably another 15 - 20mins. There is plenty of public transport options if you aren't a walker though and there's free parking out the front of the flat. We had a really lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

    Lib2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Superb peaceful location with great views from every room. Supremely tasteful decor and well maintained utilities too. Excellent value and would certainly visit again.

A homey and comfortable, light 1 bedroom private apartment located on the second floor in an old Victorian building situated on the beautiful Warrior Square in St Leonards. This is a comfortable haven encouraging rest and rejuvenation and this spacious apartment is a pleasure to spend time in. The bedroom is Peaceful and located at the rear of the property with leafy views. Close to the seaside, restaurants and amenities of St Leonards. Building is quiet with considerate neighbours.
This is our little holiday flat and is stylishly yet simply decorated. We like comfort a lot and hope that you do to. We have therefore kitted out the apartment with some of the small things that make a big difference. The bed linen is 500TC or higher and the bed is of high quality and very comfortable with a feather topper. The towels are Sheridan and we provide hand towels and face washers. The Kitchen is equipped with all that you might need to cook up a storm. The wine glasses are stylish and we provide cloth napkins and lovely table settings. There is a french press for coffee and a teapot for tea. There is also a coffee machine. Tealights are provided to create a soft ambience should you choose to. There is a hairdryer provided along with hair straighteners. We love the simplicity of our flat and our time by the seaside. We think you might too.
St Leonards has evolved as an artistic hub in recent years so you will find art galleries, quirky vintage shops, antiques shops, pubs and, increasingly, independent restaurants and cafes, all serving fresh locally sourced food. St Leonard’s itself has some beautiful historic parks and streets with jaw dropping architecture. The beach is also very clean and never crowded. The Hastings Old Town is well known for the working beach, fishing boats, great fresh fish and warren of tiny streets and twittens. Delight in antique shops, ancient pubs, local music talent and a full calendar of festivals! Hastings and St Leonards are renowned for their events throughout the year, including Mardi Gras in February, Jack in the Green in May, Pirates Day and St Leonards Festival in July, Carnival Week in August, Coastal Currents Art and Seafood and Wine festivals in September and Bonfire Week in October. Westwards: there is beautiful Rye, gorgeous Camber Sands beach, historic Winchelsea and Romney Marsh for walks in the countryside and Derek Jarman's garden to explore. Westwards: Bexhill’s famous De La Warr Pavilion, Lewes for boutique shopping and great food, and Eastbourne for walks along the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.
  • What a dream! An amazingly homely flat with lots of lovely touches like the candles and the roses. The bed is super comfy, the sofa is a great place to relax, the kitchen is really well equipped and perfect for an evening of staying in and cooking and the view from the living room window/balcony is beautiful. The shops, Hastings town centre, old town and the sea are all within walking distance. Hayley was always available by phone and left lots of info in the flat guide. Perfect for a couple looking to enjoy this wonderful seaside town.

    Kishan2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped. It is in a great location just minutes from some lovely restaurants and you can see the sea from the balcony. There was a problem with the boiler which meant we had no hot water but Hayley and Briony were very helpful and we recieved a partial refund for the stay.

    Nicola2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was wonderful! Perfect for just the two of us for a long weekend to Hastings. It's exactly as it looks on the pictures - if not better. Amazingly clean and welcoming with little touches that were appreciated! The decor was quirky but not offensive. Location was perfect for a little jaunt into the main town and old town.

    Abigail2017-10-09T00:00:00Z

  • Hayley and Bryony's apartment makes for a lovely seaside stay. It is showroom ready and has everything you would need to cook. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and there is more than enough space to store clothes. The apartment is very central and only a short walk from the beach & shops. Great choice of restaurants and take out places close by. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.

A spacious victorian ground floor flat on the sea front of St. Leonards. The private room is characterised by wooden floors, french windows, private balcony and high ceilings. Pleasant bathroom and kitchen leading to a cliff set patio at the back
Huge and spacious sea front flat with french windows you can walk out onto the balcony and enjoy the sea air. Wooden floor boards and peaceful decoration so you can enjoy a calm break away from the city or have a roomy study spot while working in the area.
The sea, walking and cycling along the prom, the cafes and bars, the old town. It's a great spot.
  • I went to Hastings and St. Leonards for my birthday with my boyfriend, and Anna's place was a perfect choice for that. We totally loved it! The room was huge, the size of my whole flat in London, haha) Very bright, with sea views (and what a joy - to go out after your morning tea, cross the road - and you're by the sea!) You'll need to walk a bit to the pier and the old town (but what a walk it is!) We had our bikes with us, so it was much easier getting around, and we even went on a scenic ride in Hastings Country Park. Anna is a great host, I loved the vibe in her house and felt very much at home. Would love to come back some day!

    Anastasia2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean & spacious room in a charming flat with a generous and thoughtful host. The perfect way to discover the Hastings seafront and surrounds.

    Michael2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location right on the sea front with bus stop a few meters down the road which can get you into central Hastings within 10 mins. Anna was great to deal with very friendly & getting everything ready at such short notice was appreciated. The property has a warm charming interior mixed with flamboyance of the grand old buildings of the time. Everything you need for a quick breakfast provided before you head out to see the sights. Make sure to take a walk up All saints street for a pint in the stag pub :) Thanks again Anna for a such a memorable stay in Hastings.

    Andre2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view straight out to the sea, good location and great host.

    Katie2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ah's place which was full of character. Although we didn't meet her, Ah communicated well with us at all times and gave us full instructions so that we felt comfortable and welcomed at the flat. The room was lovely, large and spacious and in a great location. As others have mentioned, Ah had taken time to include little extras e.g. she left bottles of water in the room and chocolates on the bed and she was more than happy for our daughter to play with any toys/books left around the flat. We'd recommend to anyone looking to stay somewhere handy on the seafront at Hastings.

    Jane2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such an accommodating host, amazing location and excellent room. Woke up to views of the sea front- exquisite

    emily2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Super flat with lovely view over the horizon sea and amazing sunsets. Very bright with natural light and comfy deco. All in place for your own home experience. Location is great. Amazing weekend gateway. Thanks for all.

  • This place is idyllic! The bedroom is huge, with enormous windows overlooking the sea even in chilly November the room was a delight. Anna's apartment is decorated simply with old fashioned appeal. It is a gem of a flat that has loads of character. It was a refreshing break from London for me and perfect place to finish the work I needed to do over the week. I look forward to coming back!

Our flat is a bright three bed lower ground floor, garden flat, it is quiet and private. The flat is very close to St Leonards town centre, Norman Road and the seafront. There is unlimited parking in the road outside. The bus stop (almost right outside) goes to Hastings Station and town centre; St Leonards Warrior Sq Station is 5 minutes walk away. It's a great base for families, singles and couples to explore everything there is on offer in the local area.
The flat is very quiet, spacious and airy, it's also brilliantly cool on hot days and cosy on cold days. If you just fancy a day watching DVD's, reading, playing board games just chilling it's a lovely space to relax in, as well as a great base to use to explore the fantastic surrounding areas. The entire flat is available and there are two large double bedrooms and a third small double bedroom, it is suitable for families with children from aged two - there are no cots or childrens beds. Although the flat is all on one level except for one small step down to the smaller bedroom area - it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
The apartment is very convenient for central St. Leonards, with the gorgeous Kino-Teatr cinema, restaurant and arts centre in Norman Road which also has a fantastic selection of eclectic shops and cafes. If you are vegan or vegetarian you are very well catered for in the immediate area. The tranquil St Leonards Gardens are just a short walk up the road, Hastings Pier is 2.8 miles away and the iconic Grade 1 listed Del a Warr Pavillion in Bexhill on Sea is 4.8 miles away. The Coastal Currents Arts Festival for Hastings & St Leonards hosts fantastic art exhibitions, open studios, local film making and much more. St Leonards & Hastings are a wonderful mixture of eccentricity and bohemian cool all rolled into one! With the friendliest people...
  • Great location near shops and the sea (within 5 mins walk). Lots of free parking. Everything you should need will be in the flat (lots of kitchen and bathroom items provided). Great price too!

  • This is a beautifully presented apartment a short walk to the coast and amenities. The apartment is well stocked, and the host pays attention to detail in making the apartment ready and useful to guests. It was very welcoming. The host was very easy to communicate with, and very responsive at all times. Our only criticism of the apartment was the lack of wifi - the apartment doesn't have the best phone reception (I am with EE) nor its own wifi, which was quite frustrating. When we booked the apartment it was advertised as having wifi, however on closer inspection it is made clear that you have to pay for the wifi to use it, and that the apartment is reliant on an external BT hotspot. We were not able to successfully find this hotspot despite trying multiple devices, and were therefore not able to use wifi at all. The host was also not able to troubleshoot or correct the hotspot (despite being very responsive) as they do not own or control it. We therefore advise guests to assume there is no wifi unless the hosts choose to install their own wireless router and connection. All in all however a wonderful apartment which we fully recommend if wifi is not a must.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Gayle's apartment. It was much bigger than it looked in the photos and had everything we needed and more. We had a really long journey up and had to rush to a wedding the next day but thankfully all the essentials were there for us so we could grab a drink and some breakfast. This was a really nice touch and greatly appreciated! Gayle was available to meet me and show me around and was flexible and understandable when we arrived a little late due to traffic. It was a short walk into town and the seafront and a handy, quiet location. We would definitely stay again.

    Abi2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • A super clean, spacious, and modern flat done to a high spec. Fab location lots of Antique shops etc in Kings Road and the sea nearly on your doorstop. The location was full of beautiful houses and lovely trees. Clean, modern, well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again!

  • This flat is beautiful. Perfect location to walk to the beach, Hastings and all local amenities. The flat is a lot bigger in real life and it had everything we needed and more. Mark was very helpful in coming to fix the smoke alarm. I would deffinately recdonend this flat to anyone! Very spacious. Thank you!

    Alice2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the flat for 2 nights to go to a gig on the pier and generally enjoy being beside the sea for a weekend. The flat is ideally located to be close to everything you need but far enough away that you aren't disturbed by it. The pier was about a 20 minute walk from the flat, with local shops, cafes & bars along the way. The flat itself had everything we needed and more. Despite being a basement flat, it was airy and light. Gayle has provided extras that made the stay seem like being at home. In the living room there were books, DVDs and board games. The kitchen was fully equipped if you wanted to cook rather than eat out. There was even milk & bread left for us when we arrived. There are store cupboard items that Gayle had left should you need something you forgot. Similarly in the bathroom she had left some essentials so that if you had left something behind you could just use those. The flat was clean and well presented. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area & we'd recommend to friends.

  • We loved this little flat. Just right for a few nights away at the coast and far enough out of town to be quiet yet close enough to walk to the main attractions. Melissa and rob are friendly and helpful and the flat itself is a modern little gem set in a traditional building. Clean and finished to a very high standard with everything you need. We'll definitely be coming again.

We found the flat quiet and comfortable. Close to some nice cafes for breakfast to set you up for a day exploring Hastings. Would recommend and will come back next time we visit.

  • This is a high end well kept apartment. Every amenity is available to make your stay comfortable. I highly recommend Melissa's place to stay when in St. Leonards. Thanks for making it a great weekend for us.

  • The apartment is right on the seafront. Just walk across the road and you are on the beach. Very nicely decorated and updated.

  • The flat is about 2 km from Hastings center along the promenade. The flat is small but very nice and you have the beach easy accessible right across the road. The road and pavement is right outside so the noise from cars and people walking by can be a bit disturbing when you try to sleep. We had a nice stay here.

  • On arrival we were met by Melissa and given a quick tour before being left alone to get on with our stay. Everything you could need was provided including a complimentary bottle of proseco. The apartment is finished to a very high standard but remains at a very reasonable price for what you get and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends and will stay here again next time I visit hastings....a real home from home.

We have a lovely quiet and bright double room with a dedicated private bathroom. The house itself is extremely spacious and is ideally situated, just a 3 minute walk from St Leonards Warrior Square mainline railway station and all the shops on Kings Road. The is room is suitable for couples or single occupancy. We are music and art lovers and would describe the house as quite bohemian.

A bright and serene ground floor garden flat. Superbly located for The Pier, local restaurants and shops of St Leonards which are all just a few minutes stroll away.
A garden apartment with its own entrance... steps down to the front door. St Leonards makes a perfect weekend break - lovely walks along the beach and waterfront which are just a short stroll away. Petite Jardin Apartment has a newly fitted kitchen & appliances. The bedroom is simply furnished with a super comfy superkingsize bed. The bathroom is rustic yet spacious and has a bath with a simple shower attachment. French doors open from the bedroom to the little garden which is south facing for sunshine! The lounge has two Multiyork sofas and a habitat daybed for relaxing. Netflix available on the tv.
Best of St Leonards and Hastings Over the past few years there have some great new bars and restaurants opening in St Leonards. As a passionate foodie here are some of my personal faves all a short stroll from the apartment. The Pier 1 - 10 White Rock Hastings TN36 1JU Petite Jardin is a five minute walk to the pier and such a wonderful spot to sit with a glass of wine or a coffee. The restaurants are pleasant and the view spectacular- I can recommend the Calamari - always great with a glass of vino! Across the road from the pier a new Latin Amercian restaurant opened this summer Diegos67 Eversfield Pl, St Leonards TN376DB Cosy and casual - perfect for a mexican inspired brunch - try the breakfast taco with eggs, sweet potato coriander and guacamole great with a glass of prosecco, bloody mary or mimosa! Still within easy walking distance is The Palace, 37 White Rock TN341JL open from 11 - 11 pm is a great place to meet friends. Tex Mex Burgers, spicy chilli, seafood cocktail and a range of specialist beers matched with the menu choices. The Palace also proudly supports local suppliers. Definitely worth checking out during a stay in St Leonards! For a more romantic meal try La Bella Vista, 8 Grand Parade, St Leonards TN38 0DD the Italian owners of the this restaurant are passionate about serving traditional Italian food with a modern twist. The daily specials are highly recommended.
  • Steph has been an expectational host, offering even greater hospitality. The flat was as described and we really enjoyed spending time there. Thank you and hopefully until next time.

  • We had a very relaxing night away in St Leonards and Steph was a fantastic host with great communication from the outset. She picked us up from the station (&offered us a lift back), gave us tips about local places to check out and let us leave our bags in the flat so we could make the most of our second day. The flat is spacious with a lovely light, bright kitchen/diner, large bathroom and a HUGE, super-comfortable bed with lovely snuggly bedding. Steph had left croissants, jam, cheese, coffee & tea for us which was much appreciated and made the flat even better value than it already was. Steph pointed out an issue with some damp/water ingress in living room and this was noticeable at times but she said she will be sorting this out asap. The flat is very well located with St Leonards train station, seafront, pier, independent shops, cafes and restaurants all within ~ 10 minute walk. Although several places are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, many others are open. We had a very good dinner at St Clements restaurant, a great breakfast at Smiths cafe on seafront and then lovely tea and cakes in "Land of Green Ginger" in Hastings Old Town, which is easy to walk to along seafront from St Leonards (20-30min stroll). There's lots to do in the area so we'll definitely be back!

  • A lovely flat in a brilliant location - between St Leonards and Hastings Old Town. A great place to explore all the local shops, cafes, restaurant and the sea front is just 5 mins walk. Great host who made us feel really at home in her clean, spacious flat. We'd definitely return!

  • Steph's garden flat is just lovely, clean, comfortable - best bed ever and beautifully made up. The little garden is a gem, you can hear the sea from it and it was great for my yoga practice as the sun came up each morning. Steph is a lovely host, flexible, kind and helpful and clearly proud of what is a lovely place to stay.

My place has great views of the beach, with St Clements, Kino & Half Man Half Burger restaurants super close by. The property is mix of modern design & classic, light & airy, with a balcony to enjoy. Norman Rd is very close, here you will find a mix of antique, retro & modern design shops. Alongside galleries & a cinema. The property is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
  • Rich's place was a lovely place to spend a couple of days at the sea side! Even had some decent weather. Everything was very easy to use and the views from the bedroom and balcony were beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

  • I had a lovely stay here last weekend. The house is beautiful, very well designed, comfortable (especially the beds and bedding) and obviously cared for. There are sea views from almost every window and you can't beat the location, being a very short walk to the beach and a couple of streets full of interesting vintage furniture/interiors shops, galleries and cafes. We had a lively Friday night drink at the St Leonard pub, a nice brunch at Kino Kitchen (the restaurant/cafe attached to the local cinema) and on Saturday night tried the fantastic St Clements restaurant, a mere 1 minute walk from the house. The food and service was better than I often get in London. We spent two days ambling around St Leonards and Hastings and from chatting with locals hear there's always a festival of some sort happening in Hastings. This weekend was live bands touring the pubs which made for a lovely atmosphere. All in all we couldn't fault the stay and it was just the getaway we needed. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.
