    A ground level room with direct access to private shower room. Situated in the picturesque Dutch Quarter. 5 min walk to the town center. Numerous shops around the corner as well as a the Castle Park. Bus stop 2 min walk, direct busses to university.
    The room has a unique octagonal shape with high ceilings. There is a wardrobe, two side tables with a double bed.
    The house is located next to the River Colne which is visible from the living room upstairs. There is a beautiful path going into the Castle park in front of the house.

  • I stayed here during a Summer Course at the University of Essex. The location was more than convenient, as the University is easily accessible with the bus and the city center (restaurants, shops) is at walking distance. I am more than satisfied with the accommodation. It is great value for money! The room and the bathroom are relatively independent from the rest of the house, which is good. The hosts let me use the kitchen and all the facilities (washing machine, hairdryer, iron) which was wonderfully convenient. Also, they are very friendly and social people, always giving good advice on places to go and on other things. I would highly recommend this accommodation!

  • This is a quiet, cosy chalet with everything we needed for our short break in Harwich. Even though we had terrible weather the chalet was warm inside. There was cereal, bread, milk and even biscuits to make our stay more comfortable. We were staying in Harwich for the Shanty Festival which is 5-10mins away by car.

Very convenient location for Colchester town Centre (less than 5 minutes walk) and New Town railway station (within 30 metres). The apartment has locked entrance, and is self-contained. However, the kitchen, washing machine and tumble dryer are shared with 2 other apartments in the same building.
  • This is an excellent place to stay in Colchester. Close to town centre, self contained sitting room, bedroom, toilet and shower room with kitchen and utilities to share with another flat. Kitchen was clean and well stocked although I didn't use it much as I had a fridge and microwave in the sitting room. On my first stay here I gave private feedback to the host that the mattress could do with an upgrade and was very impressed when he had a brand new memory foam mattress provided for my next stay the following week. Excellent service and communication. Cannot recommend enough if you value your privacy and own space. Great value for money!!

    Grade II listed apartment set in the heart of beautiful historic Sudbury Town Centre. My apartment comes with allocated parking (secured by lockable post) where you are just a stones throw from all amenities. The neighborhood is charming and friendly and has many coffee shops, eateries, pubs and beautiful scenery if you visit the Water Meadows. I have just moved to the other side of town to a house, so will be nearby should you require to meet with me.
    My apartment is shabby chic and has a real wood burner which will be stocked up with wood and coal for your use on those cold winter nights. The 2nd bedroom contains a day bed which also has the trundle and mattress below. The trundle can also be raised to the same level as the day bed making it into a double, so suitable for either 2 children or 2 adults. The main bedroom contains a standard double bed and built in wardrobe. I will also allow 1 dog.
    Kings Mews, Black Boy Yard is situated in the heart of Sudbury Town centre, behind The Black Boy pub which is named after King Charles II who was famously known as "The Black Boy". Pay a visit to The Black Boy where you will be greeted with friendly staff, a beautiful pub, lovely food and you are also allowed to take your dog. You must take a walk to The Mill where you will see how beautiful the Water Meadows are and then stop for a nice drink in The Mill Hotel. Nearby villages to visit which are a must are Lavenham, approx. 6 miles (visit The Swan), Long Melford, approx. 3 miles for their antiques and beautiful scenery and Clare which is about 6 miles. Bury St. Edmunds is only a 30 minute drive and Newmarket is 45 mins away.

  • a gorgeous warm and cosy apartment, a real gem, Carrie is a wonderful host and the apartment is full of lovely touches to make you feel at home from little foodie treats and bathroom goodies. The apartment is in the middle of town and all the local amenities are close by with lots of lovely places to eat, from little cafe's to pubs we especially like the Prado Lounge as is doggy friendly and the food is great! The apartment is spacious and very clean, its homely and you definitely feel at home lounging on the huge sofa :) the bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable , and its very quiet so you sleep very well even though your close to everything.

Based in a new development of Abby fields originally the old barracks, with a mile long beautiful wooded field surrounded by new houses and apartments. Local convenience store within a 5 min walk.     Ideally situated close to town, 10 min walking distance from Colchester town station, 15 min walk into town, in the summer picnics are ideal on the 1 mile strip of beautiful fields at Abby fields which sit in the middle of the new developememts at the old army barracks. Where I am currently situated. Castle park and historic town is ideal to investigate along side the outstanding scenery across the castle park. A relaxed person who enjoys meeting new guests and to help them in their travels.
    This is situated within 100 yards of the beautiful fields of Abby fields, directly across the road is a local doctors and pharmacy. Very quiet part of Abby fields. little noise and all neighbours respect each other within the 6 flats situated within the complex.

Cliff Park - Situated on the seafront and just a few minutes walk from Dovercourt Town Centre, the grounds contain mature trees and formal gardens, a play area, the bandstand, seating areas and great views out across Dovercourt Bay. Mayor’s Garden - Restful public garden, containing shrubs and trees and featuring colourful floral beds during the summer. Redoubt Fort - Napoleonic circular fort and moat built between 1808 and 1810 to protect the port of Harwich against the threat of invasion. It houses old artillery pieces and period exhibits. High Lighthouse - Built in 1818 by John Rennie to replace a light over the Town Gate. This and the Low Lighthouse provided a transit line to guide ships safely into Harwich harbour. Lightship LV18 - The last manned light ship in the UK, now moored permanently near the Ha’penny Pier as a Museum Ship, that welcomes visitors to tour the vessel and view its exhibits including Pirate Radio Station memorabilia. Lifeboats - The Harwich Lifeboat Station of the RNLI has two modern lifeboats which are a key rescue service for North Sea seafarers. Visitors are welcome to view the inshore boat housed in the building and the offshore lifeboat can be seen afloat on the waterfront. Navyard - In former times this commercial dock was a Naval Yard. Numerous wooden warships were built on the site for the Royal Navy during the time of Samuel Pepys and Nelson. On the frontage you can view the original 1666 Dockyard Bell and the list of fighting ships built here. Street Murals - Stroll along Wellington Street to view a colourful range of street murals on buildings and walls, including barges, ships, local features and seaside postcards. St Nicholas Church - This graceful Church was built in 1822. Its simple neo-Gothic style incorporates slender iron columns, a wonderful organ and interesting monuments to seafarers. The Guildhall - The town’s only Grade I Listed Building, it houses the Town Council Chamber and a prison cell with ship carvings dating back to Napoleonic times. Mayflower Project - Work is underway to construct a replica of the Mayflower – the ship that took the Pilgrim Fathers to America in 1620. It has a public viewing area. Lifeboat Museum - The attractive old Lifeboat station on the waterfront now houses the “Valentine Wyndham-Quin”, an offshore lifeboat which was in service between 1968 -1984, and other exhibits. Treadwheel Crane - A rare historic crane built in 1667, used at the Naval Yard, moved to its present site on Harwich Green in about 1932. The crane was worked by men walking in the interior of two large wheels to raise and lower goods and materials. Low Lighthouse Museum - Built in 1818 as the forward of two transit light houses, it now houses a maritime museum and is a great vantage point to view the harbour from the lantern. Children’s Playgrounds - In Dovercourt play equipment for children situated in parks adjacent to the seafront promenade. The Dovercourt indoor heated swimming pool is open to the public throughout the year. The Dovercourt Low Road leisure area, adjacent to the beach and seafront promenade, provides a range of facilities including a boating lake, skate park, putting green and tennis courts.

  • Great location right by the pier, sadly the flat is to the side of the building so no view of the sea. The flat itself is clean and bright with thoughtful touches, the building it is in lets it down a bit as the lift was out of order and is generally a bit run down, but its location was why we chose here, we were not expecting five star luxury.     This recently refurbished apartment is in a completely private wing of our Grade II* listed manor house, with its own entrance and plenty of parking. You will have access to 80 acres of estate park land, so bring your bikes (we can safely store them) and your walking/running shoes to explore over 3km of woodland trails. For an additional charge, you can have exclusive fishing rights for the day on the 1 acre carp lake (home to over a dozen 25lbers).   • This Airbnb was such a unique and wonderful experience for our family! It was so cool to be able to explore the grounds- great walks, saying hello to sheep and goats and horses, admiring the beautiful fields, and letting the kids play on the play equipment. All this while having an amazing manor house right there! We loved staying in the home, it was a private apartment around the side of the home which was totally private. The apartment was the perfect mix of being beautifully renovated while keeping the charm of a 17th century home. Everything was sparking clean. We loved how spacious it was, and well equipped for our family. It was also so lovely inside with all the antique furniture, perfect for the setting! We also loved getting to snuggle up in front if the wood burner! Our hosts were wonderful!

    Situated in the heart of Ipswich this recently renovated first floor apartment provides an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful county of Suffolk. The apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and looks out to the quiet courtyard. The living area has a comfortable armchair and matching sofa that can be easily converted into a double bed. There is also a dining table and 4 chairs. There is off-road parking for one vehicle.

    Our apartment is in the centre of Ipswich town and so is ideally located to reach places easily. The mainline station is 15 minutes walk, it's 8 minutes to Ipswich Marina with the waterfront bars and restaurants, 2 minutes from the Buttermarket Shopping Centre and supermarket, 9 minutes to Christchurch Park and 10 minutes walk to the University of Suffolk. Crown Pools Leisure Centre is 6 minutes walk with lap and leisure pools, a wave machine, sauna and gym. Empire Cinema is located on the top floor of the Buttermarket Shopping Centre and The Ipswich Regent and New Wolsey Theatre are 6 and 12 minutes walk respectively.

Sainsbury’s two minute walk away and opposite Sainsbury’s a lovely Fish and Chip restaurant which also a few vegetarian dishes on the menu. Excellent food and service. The quay area is also not far away and has some really good restaurants.Everything within walking distance...excellent all round...don’t hesitate to book.

  • This is a really lovely apartment, very well presented with all the accessories you could desire. I booked it for my mother-in-law because we don't have room for her to stay at ours and I must confess that I hadn't realised it was on the first floor but she managed the stairs OK. This is a town centre location so it was fabulous to have a parking space, be prepared for a little bit of background noise though, certainly on a weekend night. Will use again when MIL comes down!

Wan was accommodating with our late check-in due to a late flight and even waited for us till midnight to let us in. The bathroom is sparkling clean and the location is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which takes you to the airport and also to central London. While there aren’t too many accommodations since this is a private room in their own apartment, it was fine for us since we were only looking for a place to sleep at the end of our travels in central London.
