“The largest crystalline grotto in the region with a stunning array of formations. There is a basket to descend into the cavity for the adventurous or a tunnel entrance for a more gentle approach. It is truly stunning and only a 35 minute drive away. Reserve in advance especially if you want to descend in the basket!”

“Moins connus qu'Eyrignac et Marqueyssac mais très agréables car situés tout en haut du village de Limeuil. Une vue exceptionnelle. Un jardin ludique et pédagogique dans lequel on passe un très bon moment. Pour les gourmands de très bonnes glaces artisanales à la sortie !”

Restaurant
“This is my absolute favourite! The restaurant serves delicious meals either inside or on their deck. The prize is to sit on their deck on the riverside and watch the wonderful flow of water. This is where the Vezere and the Dordogne rivers meet.”

“Une cuisine fine et savoureuse, des produits locaux revisités et une terrasse extérieure qui invite à la gourmandise !”

City
“The site of the confluence of the rivers Dordogne and Vezere. The two rivers meet here, each passing under it's own bridge. Limeuil is one of the 'beaux villages' of the area, and like all of the bastides has some steep winding and cobbled streets to climb! Stunning riverside location, picnic benches, restaurant/bar overlooking the river, very popular for swimming. ”

“Wonderful restaurant. Outside terrace and lovely inside room and barn with tables. Food is very good and cooked from local produce and all the meat is from locally raised, grass-fed animals.”
