There is no parking in the building, but dozens of metered parking right out front that are fairly cheap ($0.50 to $1.50/hr depending on time of day) and free overnight. If you don't want to worry about meters, there is a lot across the street that is only $10 per night (vs. $40-60/night for hotels in our neighborhood). Super convenient to downtown and all modes of transportation. Extremely high walk rating... Everything is easily accessible: restaurants, museums, waterfront, shopping -- plus so much more this amazing city has to offer. Transbay/Greyhound bus terminal = 5 min walk Montgomery BART = 8 min walk Ferry building = 15 min walk CalTrain = 20 min walk Guests can take the airport BART to the Montgomery BART station. From there, they can either walk about 8-10mins, or take the 12 bus line from 2nd St & Stevenson to 2nd St & Folsom. It’s easily freeway-accessible to the Eastbay, the Peninsula, and the Southbay.

  • Michael is a great guy and it was nice being able to chat with him. The space was convenient for me and exactly as described. Thanks!

    Justin2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic. Throughout my stay, Michael was very considerate and kind. His check-in instructions were clear, he had chocolate and ramen noodles available for me, and he had great recommendations for food (Burma Love and Bi-Rite creamy are fantastic). His place looked exactly like the pictures - clean, modern, high ceilings, lots of natural light. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go, as there was plenty to see and do in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

    May2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great, didn't have any problems with anything.

    Lee2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place, in a great location! Michael is very nice, and the loft is very clean!

    Tameem2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Right from the booking Michael was flexible as well as helpful with me on my arrival and departure from the city. Getting in and out was easy as can be and the place is located a short walk from plenty to see. Suggestions for the farmers market and food was on point. If I have a critique on anything, the bathroom could be more clean. It wasn't so bad as if I were averse to using it though. He provided clean towels and linens

    Aldo2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay for short visits. Also, they have the cutest cat!

    Samuel2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was an amazing host! He was accommodating in every way, from an early check-in time to amazing food recommendations to putting up with my late hours. He was easy to chat with, and responded quickly to any messages sent his way. The location is also prime, with easy access to buses and subway stations only a few blocks walk away. I loved how cozy the neighborhood felt, and would definitely recommend his place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the SoMa area.

    Kevin2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is very nice and welcoming! Great restaurant recommendations and tips!

Private oasis at the heart of the financial district, prime location for both business and leisure travelers. Catch the sunrise/sunset over the SF staple bay bridge view. The apartment is furnished for your comfort and convenience: an extremely comfortable queen sized bed with memory foam mattress combo, high quality bedding, 700mbps wifi, fully stocked appliances, and hotel style amenities.
Beautiful corner unit on high floor with bay bridge views from all windows. Ample lighting that sets the mood for a productive business trip or relaxing time away from home. I've furnished the entire apartment with you in mind as I want guests to feel at home. I work long hours so you will have the apartment mostly to yourselves.
Best location in all SF I'd say for travelers. Walking distance to Moscone Conference Center, Union Sq., Ferry Building, One Market, 101 California, Uber, Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc. -Easy access to freeway for commuters to Oakland/Berkeley or South Bay. -Central location for all public transportation. 7min walk to Bart. Quick access for uber pickups/grey hound and bolt around the corner. -Soul Cycle, Philz Coffee, Core Power Yoga located downstairs. -High end Food Market around the corner, great food nearby Ask me about street and garage parking.
  • Jenny's place was just what I needed- close to FiDi for an easy commute, great amenities and the ability to bring my pup. Jenny was incredibly accommodating and helpful when I needed to get into the apt when she wasn't home. The building is great, the apartment and views amazing and the bed is SO comfortable.

  • Nice cosy hostel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Great common area to meet people. Just next to china town so easy walking distance to some great restaurants, bars and attractions. Very clean and comfortable hostel. Thanks for a great stay!

    Lou2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying at a hostel and I absolutely enjoyed it. The hostel is clean, comfortable, has clean restrooms and a maintained kitchen. My roommates were from Kenya, Japan, India , China and the US. I had fun discussions with them. The neighborhood is China town which is very lively and safe. The location is also very close to the local bus/train stations if one wants to explore SF. Particularly it’s just a half hour walk to the fishermen’s wharf/golden gate area. Happily recommended.

  • Great location!

    usama2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't have asked for a better hostel experience for my first time traveling alone! I was the youngest person at the hostel (I'm 19) but I never felt out of place or anything. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to anything I might need. It did kind of have the feel of a summer camp, but much nicer and for adults :) I will definitely be recommending this place to friends looking to travel to SF. The location was wonderful and I ended up walking almost everywhere, though I believe it is close to a Muni stop if people aren't comfortable walking a few miles each day. All in all I have no complaints about my stay here and I wish everyone well in their travels!

Cozy private 1 bedroom in the best location of the city! The location: Walking distance to Caltrain station, view of the AT&T Park, right off Embarcadero, Bay Bridge, Safeway, great public transportation. Many restaurants, bars, bookstores in the neighborhood. The apartment complex: Pool, hot spa, sauna, steam room, gym with cardio and weight equipments, library space, BBQ grills, TV. Pets friendly. I'm moving in with my partner so the place is empty in January, thus posting on Airbnb.
It's a spacious sunny bedroom with great views of the Bay, you can see the other side of the bay from the window and many ships. The room has three-fold traditional San Francisco full view windows (every morning I could see the port on the other side of the Bay), fully furnished, with lots of warmth, fresh towels, sodas and snacks!

This is a loft bedroom, in a spacious 3 bdrm/2 bath apartment, right in Downtown SF, close to everything and with nice urban views as well. Comfortably sleeps 2, in open loft space. Shared bathroom with 2 showers.
Views of the Bay Bridge make it impossible to mistake where you've come. We are in the middle of it all! Split-level Loft offers private mezzanine bedroom and shared full bathroom, communal kitchen, dining area and work station. Exposed concrete walls and industrial fixtures add a modern SF feel. Your room is fully furnished with a real bed, with quality bedding, standing desk, fireman's pole connecting downstairs (there are stairs too, but what's fun in that?). Help yourself to amenities and fresh (folded) towels in the bathroom. Myself and my girlfriend reside in the upstairs bedroom and sometimes there is a guest downstairs too. We are pretty self contained and busy giving you lots of privacy. Perfect jump off point for whatever brings you to San Francisco; - House hunting - Interview - Travel - Transition All are welcome!
I moved to SOMA to start my business because the neighborhood brings a lot of energy and opportunity. Great mix of start-up professionals and visitors from all over the world.. the conversations you hear in line at coffee shops and food trucks are inspiring to say the least; valuations, IPO's, mergers, new technologies, new app solutions... there is no other place like it on earth. SoMa (South of Market) the premier downtown neighborhood and walking distance from: - Moscone Convention Center - Pier One Ferry Building - Museum of Modern Art - Union Square - AT&T Park Giants Baseball Stadium - Numerous cafes, restaurants and bars.
  • Andres is a great host and interesting guy. He made me feel at home in his cool apartment that was walking distance from everywhere I needed to go. Thanks!

  • top service!!!!

    Michael2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Andres was the perfect host. Was very helpful making sure I had everything I needed before and during my arrival. Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short as I am a rather light sleeper and the persistent traffic noise from the freeway off ramp made it difficult for me. Andres was very accommodating and sympathetic as we worked out an agreement around an early departure. If street noise isn't as much of a problem for you, this is a great place to stay and Andres will make you feel welcome.

    Corey2014-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was awesome. I met wonderful people there.

    Nick2014-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at Andreas's place and I will be returning on my next trip to SF! The loft has a great urban vibe and the beds (I've slept in both of them) are very comfortable. What's great about staying there is the sense of being a part of the home while you're there. If you want hang and socialize when crossing paths, it's a welcome break from work and the city. If you're a come-and-go kind of visitor, that's cool, too. I'm a regular Airbnb user and this is my A#1 favorite spot to date.

    Rob2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The entire stay was nice. I liked the charm and personality of the space. It felt nice and welcoming. I especially enjoyed my room with its unique characteristics. The Vin Ambassador Brainstorm room I call it.

    Blake2015-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Andrés was a great host, incredibly welcoming and friendly. During my 4 week stay we had interesting conversations. We even went out for wine and drinks a couple of times. It felt like staying with a friend and not a stranger. The room was nice and clean. The downstairs kitchen area is huge, bright and awesome. The location in SoMa is convenient. It is in easy walking distance to the ferry building, AT&T Park, Union Square and Chinatown. All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely book it again if in San Francisco.

    Sebastian2013-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Andres's place was perfectly located to AT&T Stadium, the BART system, bars, restaurants, the Bay Bridge, and many more attractions that my boyfriend and I loved visiting. He was great with communication and was able to accommodate for our late night arrival. The loft was really cute and comfy! Also, the extra toothbrush and toothpaste was much appreciated. Thanks again for everything Andres!

  • Timothy and his partner are wonderful hosts, very responsive and considerate. They put out a nice big bowl of fresh fruits for snacking. The place is conveniently located and I was able to easily walk everywhere I needed to go. The grounds are tidy and well kept, and there's a 24hr doorman. The apartment complex has great amenities (pool, workout room, etc) so this was like staying at a resort! It's a cute, private oasis in the city. The apartment was very clean. The kitchen is nice (granite counters, stainless steel appliances, new cabinets) and is well stocked. The bathroom also has a granite-top vanity and was always clean. The room was perfect - a comfy bed with lovely linens made for a great nights rest after a long day, desk, nightstands, well lit with a wall mounted flat screen tv, and very spacious for urban living. There are 2 incredibly sweet little dogs (kept in a separate room and they don't bark so no issue at all). There are pet birds outside and their light morning chirpings added a nice touch. This definitely ranks in my top 5 Airbnb experiences. Great value. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again!

    Kavell2017-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place cannot be best located. At a few blocks from market Street, you can easily get from airport by train. Anything elsewhere you can use the public transportation or walk. The apartment is petit, cozy, tidy and neat. Conveniently part of an apartments complex, you also have access to common areas, swimming pool and gym. No worries for security issues. Tim was very attentive and easy going. You can even give treats to their dogs :) Go there, stay there, you will love it.

    Alex2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy’s place is a fantastic place to stay. Location is perfect and very well communicated. Room is big and modern and bed is very confortable. You will have your privacy guaranteed, and if you need something, you will get help from Timothy and his partner, who were really attentive and gentle to me. Top Airbnb experience to repeat asap

    Roger2018-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and value. Timothy sleeps in the common area (with a privacy divider) and the room is a private bedroom. There are pet birds outside the window as well as two small dogs - which could be frustrating in the morning. Nonetheless, the apartment felt safe and clean.

  • Tiff made the check-in process as easy as can be for me and my fiance and we loved the place from the get-go. Lots of personal space and the rooms were immaculately clean. We loved the view from the room and the rooftop area was a great place to relax after a day of touring the city. Tiff herself is super friendly and very responsive if you have any questions or recommendations about the area. Highly recommend!

    Greg2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here on a business trip and the apartment/room was exactly as advertised in the pictures and reviews: clean and quiet, and modern with minimal furniture. The place was nestled in a high-rise area / neighborhood in South Beach. I don't recall many restaurants or places or touristy things within a very close walking distance (only tall gray buildings), but it was really convenient to get a Lyft whenever I needed to go somewhere, especially to and from the airport. The apartment was in an area that felt safe for a young woman to be walking around with good lighting and light foot traffic around whenever I came in and out so it didn't feel deserted. Tiff was really kind to show me around the apartment when I first got there-- we both had our own busy schedules and sadly didn't see each other often during the stay. Regardless, she communicated all of the details quickly, clearly and promptly which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, simple option in SF!

  • Loved staying at Tiffs. The self checkin process was super easy.

  • Tiff is really considerate, professional, and polite. It felt like the best parts of staying in a hotel and staying with a friend. The central location of her place to the Financial District makes this ideal for anyone coming to a conference, and the amenities are everything you could ask for. While it might not be ideal if you're traveling with someone, it's pretty perfect if you're alone on a work trip. Highly recommended.

While many of San Francisco’s most appealing attractions are within walking distance of our place, one need not leave the building to enjoy some of the City’s most inspired design. our place’s amenities include common areas such as the comfortable rooftop lounge, with grill and plenty of seating for entertaining. The interior courtyard offers a stylish visual backdrop featuring exotic, vibrant foliage.

  • Great place, very central, very nice host.

  • Ut and her husband were outstanding and very welcoming. My room, as well as the rest of the home, was very clean and exactly as described. The location was perfect and walking distance to several nice places. Centrally located to everything I needed to do.

    nathalia2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ut's place was beautiful. The room is very private (downstairs away from everyone) and very quiet though you need to go up for the bathroom. The entire house is tastefully decorated and sparkling clean and I had full access to use almost the entire house for working, hanging out, etc. Ut and her husband are GREAT hosts. They told me stories that gave me insights into the city and Ut took me on a walk around the neighbourhood and explained most of the history behind the buildings in her neighbourhood; it felt like a private tour. Awesome experience for me

  • Apartment was great. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again!

    Brian2016-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a blast staying at the artistic loft. The space is exactly how it is pictured, cozy, comfortable, clean, and unique. Chantal was an amazing host, even let me in early to drop by my bags off before I had to rush off to a meeting. The street was safe and pretty quiet for how close to downtown you actually are. I loved how close the apartment was so BART and Whole Foods. I was not a fan of the amount of construction going on in the area. As a regular Airbnber, I've come to expect certain small things when I stay, and Chantal met all of my expectations. -Keys were easy to find and the apartment was easy to access. -Everything was clean and comfortable -There was shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, and hairdryer -There was extra food available if I needed to snack Chantal went beyond my expectations when she took care of the trash for me, and helped me find a fan when the temperature in the city reached 90 degrees.

    Alexandra2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Chantal's place was clean, wonderfully located and she was extremely accommodating. Many many recommends!

    Michael2014-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and was everything it was represented to be. Neighborhood was exactly what I expected and near my office in SF, walking distance to plenty of bars & restaurants as well as the ballpark. I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Francisco.

    Nate2014-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, true to online description. Neighborhood very convenient to Moscone Center and restaurants. Chantal left out coffees and teas with an invitation for us to enjoy them. Very quiet, tucked-away street. Extremely comfortable bed and the condo was clean. One thing to be aware of is that the TV doesn't get the usual channels. Since we were there during March Madness games, this was a surprise, but we found a nearby sports bar where we could watch 4 games at once -- better than in-home TV access anyway.

    Alison2015-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great condo and great location, with easy access to Moscone and the embarcadero. Chantal was flexible with getting in and dropping our stuff off.

    Alex2014-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spacious, airy loft. Clean, modern, well-kept and secure building down a small side street. Was surprised how quiet it was despite proximity to busy streets and the freeway! Bed comfy though a bit small. Perfect for me but if I had been with someone else, might have been a tight squeeze. Location was ideal for me as both offices I was working from were in SOMA. Thanks for the hospitality!

    Itamar2017-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Michael's spot. It's not my first time I'm the building and previously had a go-to Airbnb prior to Michael's but when I found out the host was moving I was so disappointed as I had also lucked out with him. Michael came to the rescue since I previously stayed here. His place is immaculate. I was almost hesitant to write a review honestly because I wanted this to be my best kept secret but that'd be too selfish. I also pride myself in treating someone's home as if it were my own. Besides it'll be my go to whenever I travel to SFO on business. Pros: location, building and apartment amenities, friendly host, reasonable, communicative, on top of everything else I've rated. Con: absolutely nothing. Michael has set the bar very high and look forward to future stays with him!!

    Nava2017-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the combination of the perfect host, location, and apartment. Michael went the extra mile to make sure I was settled in and had everything I needed - and communication was easy, pleasant and always helpful. This was among my best Airbnb experiences ever. Highly recommend to others visiting the Bay Area for work or for leisure.

    Brian2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is lovely. It is clean, stylish, and 10x better than staying at a hotel. It is in a very convenient location, esp. if you are staying for work in fidi. Would definitely stay at Michael's place again if I'm headed to SF.

  • Alda's unit is a fantastic apt for a stay in SF. With full amenities, comfortable bedroom, modern bathroom, and in unit laundry, this unit provides everything that's needed. Alda was a fantastic host as well. From allowing me to check in early to being quite communicative throughout the stay, she provided a great experience. One thing to note is that some of the nearby areas can get a bit questionable at night (par for the course in SOMA), but Alda's unit is quite secure and as long as the guest exercises reasonable precautions, it's completely fine. In fact, I had 0 problems even late at night! Otherwise, the location is fantastic ... near groceries, transportation (muni, bart, and caltrain), gyms and more. The best part is Alda's bookshelf which seems designed for the classic Silicon Valley techie -- make sure you take a break from the reading to go enjoy SF :P

  • In the middle of everything. Friendly and very helpful staff. They had great tips and advice for travelers. Hip hostel experience. PB and J... a lifesaver.

  • The hostel is located in Chinatown and very close to the action and public transport. It's a great place especially if you enjoy the hostel experience.

  • This hostel is clean, affordable and attracts a really nice international crowd. The coffee is included and is nice and strong.

  • One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! Awesome, helpful people, great location and very clean! I loved the little goodies they offered like donuts on Sunday morning, ear plugs or washing your socks

    Rebekka2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • These guys are amazing. Hostel was awesome. I made many friends and they always had some events going on. If you're visiting SF, this is the place to go to. The common area is fun and the topics of discussion ranges from silly to presidential debate levels. :P Loved my stay here.

    Pranav2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • It's cheap but the beds are uncomfortable

    Abidan2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great hostel in the middle of the financial district! Only downside is the flight of stairs going up but that should allow you to cross working out off your list. Eri was awesome to talk to and share my daily adventures with.

  • Excellent service / clean room / great location at a fair price. Thanks a lot for your support! :-)

  • Pacific tradewinds is a very nice hostel and well located (safe area in central San Francisco). Just be aware that it is located on the 4th and 5th floor of the building and there is no lift.

    Stephan2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, this was a solid experience. The people were friendly and accommodating. The place itself was lively. I met people from very different backgrounds than myself, which is always a rewarding experience for me. Although most of my time was spent out in the city, the Darren and Friends Hostel was a good place to call home for the past week.

    Bryan2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Situated mere inches from the hustle and bustle of iconic Chinatown and in the direct heart of San Francisco sits the the Pacific Tradewinds hostel. my stay was INCREDIBLE!!!! In this tiny niche of a building with traditional rickety San Francisco fire escapes, you will see the window of the world. the rich aromas of travelers from distant lands tickled the cilia of your nose when you first walk into the common area. You also see an array of different knickknacks and pictures from previous travelers. With San Francisco already being a mecca for travelers from all over the planet, being in a hostel with the towering structures of the Transamerica Pyramid and the other skyscrapers providing a shell of our liberalism and diversity. I specifically got to interact with people of around 10-20 different countries such as Korea, Japan, Chile, India, Turkey, Germany, Australia, Canada, France, and others. We hung out, sung songs, and ate together. It was a joyful time!!!!! Thank You Pacific Tradewinds Thank you

    Isiah2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great atmosphere Staff was awesome I was there for a short time but there were activities at the hostel to meet up with new friends and enjoy even staying in in such a wonderful city Def recommend If you expect a 5 star hotel sort of life it's just not your thing.

    Abdullah2016-07-27T00:00:00Z

    Khoa 2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • it is really a good place. i mean if you are not care about the private space. It is a nice place that just right in the downtown and so close to the china town.

    michel2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • When I booked the location, the host communicated with me promptly and provided help with my travels. Also the fellow travellers staying there were friendly and good company. The showers and toilet facilities were clean and looked after. The beds don't have a lot of privacy, but if you don't sharing rooms with other people, it's a great catch.

  • Wonderful and kind...and a great location. If you like hostels, you will love this place!!

    Rebecca2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The vibe here is cool. It’s a little sparse amenities-wise (of course it is a hostel) so be sure to bring a comfortable blanket, and plenty of toiletries. Staff is friendly, helpful and I think you’ll find the other guests to be vibrant and exciting. Definitely recommend. In some ways a lot more fun than a private hotel room.

    Dylan2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Eliora2016-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fairly clean and organized, the lockers are actually pretty spacious, the people working there are super nice, location is decent... no complaints from me.

    Steven2016-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great experience at the hostel. It is very affordable and not very far from the financial district and union square. I didn't spent much time interacting with other guests because I was attending a conference. But the few interactions I had were very pleasant.

    Arlei2016-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Location and value are standout features. Bathrooms are partitioned and bedrooms are shared. Full size modern, well equipped kitchen felt like home. Computer access. Ideal for the solo traveler who is ok with the given accomodations. A friendly, young, upbeat vibe with a peek into the international travelers world. Interacting with others or not, it is a comfortable venue taken in its own context.

  • Affordable place to stay in downtown San Francisco. Convenient, walking distance from bus stops. Great hosts. The place was kept clean all the time. They allow you to leave your bag/s until 12 midnight, which was convenient as I waited for my red-eye trip.

    Alvin2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The hostel made us feel very welcome. It is small and in the heart of downtown, on the edge of Chinatown. The vibe is good, and the hostel is very clean and kept up given the face there is only one toilet per floor and quite a few guests. If you are looking for an affordable place to just rest your head, and you are not averse to hostel-style living - this hostel is a great choice.

    Anna2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great environment!

    Jie2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • I love this place. Had to cancel this trip to them, but they were true to cancellation policy and very responsive in handling the change of plans. Highly recommended as a central location that's affordable flexible and has great hosts.

    Riva2014-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay there! The staff Aiden was really nice. We had really heavy luggages and he helped me and my friend to take them up to the 4th floor! Other people who stayed there were nice too. A good place to socialise. Good location as well. Close to downtown and the piers. With all the good things, there might be one tiny problem. There wasnt enough hot water for taking shower. My friend actually took a shower with completely cold water in Winter this time.

    Emily2013-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had a pleasant stay at the hostel. Everyone was very friendly.

    Mabel2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great value. The friendly team of people who run this place as well as its central location made my stay here pleasant at the very least. If you're a traveler breezing through town after town on a travel binge, this is the place for you. They give you towels, wash your socks, even play board games with you when you call it a day after some essential urban hiking. How much more than that do you need? PS. Thanks for the food & drink recommendations, Albert!

Also within walking distance to the Embarcadero, Ferry Building, AT&T Park, Union Square, China Town, North Beach, and Fisherman's Wharf.
Step into a sun-basked open space with 20 foot ceilings, walls covered in original artwork, and a myriad of all-natural and air-purifying green plants! • Sleeps 1 guest on a comfortable cot downstairs, in the living room. The cot has a medium firm 6" foam mattress with a solid frame underneath (no uncomfortable bars or springs). It is almost the size as a twin bed (31" x 75"). Chantal and Louie sleep in the master bedroom on the second level, which overlooks the lower level. • 1.5 baths • Microwave • large fridge • Fresh towels and linen provided • Walking distance to Whole Foods and Safeway supermarkets • WiFi access The half bath downstairs is mainly dedicated for guest use. It has two large cabinets to store personal items like clothes and toiletries. It also has a number of hooks to hang clothes and a bath towel. The shared full bath is located upstairs, off Chantal and Louie's bedroom. Guests are welcome to use it at anytime.
Right downtown, and super convenient to all modes of transportation. Extremely high walk rating... Everything is easily accessible: restaurants, museums, waterfront, shopping -- plus so much more this amazing city has to offer. It’s just a short walk to Moscone Center, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, North Beach, AT&T Park and all the nightlife of SoMa/Southbeach. BART, Transbay terminal, and CalTrain are all 5-20 mins walking distance. South Beach is also known as the second financial district. This means it is relatively quiet during evenings and weekends.
  • I enjoyed my stay at Chantal's place. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, and not very far from downtown. Chantal is very respectful of others' privacy. She is also quiet, but if you initiate, you could engage in a nice conversation with her. The couch was very comfortable. I'll definitely come back!

  • Lovely space exactly as described. Clean, convenient and calm.

  • It was a very good place to stay. Nice and clean with a perfect location for me (SFO & Amtrak). Good instructions how to handle everything in the appartment, including getting in. Chantal gave me very quick answers about my reservation and was very helpful about changes, I had to do because of a cancelled flight.

  • Chantal is an exceptionally accommodating host who went out of her way to allow for a last minute stay. Her apartment is a display of her graphic and designer talents and is a pleasurable place to spend a night. She was a delightfully interesting person who was fun to spend time with getting to know. If you don't mind sleeping on a very comfy couch, this is a great place for a short term stay.

  • Chantal's place is amazing and the couch was a lot more comfortable than I expected it to be! Chantal was very communicative which made my time there even better. Highly recommend her as a host! Thank you :)

  • Chantal & Louie's place is very well located, in a safe area and walkable to many attractions. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Chantal is really nice and gave me a lot of tips to make my trip in SF as easy as possible.

  • Chantal is a great host. She is thoughtful, sweet, well-organized and her loft is definitely a wonderful place to stay! It has a comfy couch and decorated in artistic style, with convenient transportation and perfect located for tourists. I love everything there and enjoyed every minute in her place!

  • Chantal's home is very nice and I slept very well in my sofa, which is very comfortable. The location is perfect to discover San Francisco by walking. And buses are around to go everywhere quickly. The house is clean and Chantal is quiet ; to live with her is very simple and natural, I felt really well there and would love coming back to Chantal's home... but better without the 2 little dogs which definitely did not accept me ! That was the only negative point, but the dogs are just here for a short period, and Chantal took them with her upstairs to sleep, so that I had my privacy downstairs. I recommend this place, which I think has a good price for its advantages. And I wish the best to Chantal for her next guests coming home !

The Space Views of the Bay Bridge make it impossible to mistake where you've come. Split-level Loft offers private bedrooms and two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and work stations with iconic San Francisco views. Exposed cement walls and piping add a Modern SF feel. The entire place is yours to ideate, rest or simply leave your things while you embrace San Francisco. SoMa (South of Market) is the premier downtown neighborhood and walking distance from: - Moscone Convention Center - Pier One Ferry Building - Museum of Modern Art - Union Square - AT&T Park Giants Baseball Stadium - Numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. Perfect jump off point for whatever brings you to San Francisco; - House hunting - Interview - Travel - Transition
  • Had an enjoyable stay at the apartment in SOMA for conference attendance at the Moscone Center. Would definitely recommend this apartment if planning a trip to San Francisco. Many thanks :)

  • Out host made us feel very welcome, the apartment had all the utilities we needed and everything was laid out for us perfectly. The apartment is in a great location and public transport is just a short walk away. There's some great shops and eating spots nearby, and a whole foods only a short walk away. I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this loft, it felt just like home and I loved all the decor! The giant whiteboard was a highlight for my friends and I! :)

  • Andre is a great host! Checking in is super easy and he is friendly and very responsive when we have any question. The location of the place is great, a short walk to the Ferry Building and Fishermen's Wharf. The place is well equipped and comfortable. The only caution is that the third bedroom's bed is a bit small if you travel as a couple (the other two bedrooms are very spacious). You also get a nice working space if needed. So overall recommend the place for stay over in SF!

    Elaine Shuainan2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Andres was very gracious and available when I had a question during my stay. The location of his place is ideal.

    Tim2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Andres absolutely made us feel welcome - 2nd year in a row! The location is perfect for the show we attended at Moscone Center, and close to many amazing restaurants (in the food business, this is important to us). The condo has lots of room, is very comfortable and we are fortunate to be able to make it our home when traveling from Maine! Thanks Andres :)

  • The split level loft in SoMA was a great find. We were able to walk to the local convention center with ease and had no problem checking in. The location was quiet, yet close to everything. Andres was a great host and was available whenever we needed him. I would definitely recommend him or any of his properties. Tyson

  • Andres was great about answering questions and offering suggestions to better our visit to SF. We were in SF for a family wedding and needed accomodations for six family members. Andres loft fit the bill! Three bedrooms, two full baths, a kitchen for making coffee, good location. We used the washer and dryer and the wifi was reliable. The loft was clean and had a nice vibe to it. We were walking distance to the Ferry Building, which has a great Saturday morning farmer's market. We were also close to Yerba Buena Gardens where the wedding reception was held. We walked home from there. We could catch the cable cars on Market Street for a ride all the way up to Fisherman's Wharf.I just wish we had more time in SF. There's just so much to see and do. This was our first experience with airbnb and we will definitely use their services again.

  • Andres was very helpful in providing information regarding the area, parking and other questions we had prior to arrival. The place looked just as shown in the pictures - very modern and cool but with a cozy feel. We really felt like we were at home there! it was a great location close to restaurants and transportation - loved it!

  • This is a great home base for visiting San Francisco. It's location allows for a large part of the city to be accessed by foot. Even though I raised the average age of the travelers present, I got along fine with all, smiles abounded and everyone shared a common respect for each other. All facilities were clean and accessible with ease. It was fun to hang and listen to the banter between a group of young, diverse and international travelers. Nonetheless, everyone is welcome here.

  • Great location, easy walking distance to all the major attractions, restaurants and experiences. Staff were very friendly and helpful even when I had problems getting to the property due to train delays. The accommodation was clean, safe and secure. It had great facilities and my day tour coach had no problems picking me up from the location.
