“A throw-back to a campus bar where free peanut shells can be thrown on the floor and there's $4 margaritas and mexican food. Very casual; pretty good for watching sports at the bar; Can be seedy-looking but it's full of students and nerds in the evenings and weekends.”

“The historic 7 Mile House is an award-winning, family and dog-friendly restaurant, sports bar, and live music venue, serving up a unique mix of homestyle Italian/American/Filipino food. Located in the San Francisco/Bay Area for 160 years, 7 Mile House is the only mile house left standing in its original location; and has a colorful history from its rebel days in the 1800s to a trucker/biker hangout and an infamous sports gambling joint in the 80s. Today, they are the most popular restaurant and bar in the neighborhood boasting great food, drinks, sports via satellite and live entertainment every single night.”

Café
“A nearby coffee shop with good food, though I wouldn't say inexpensive. Check the hours on Yelp before you go; they're open from very early until 2 or 3 only in the afternoon, and not on Tuesdays. I like the seating areas inside and out. This building was, I believe, in fact the train station for the old railroad that came from San Francisco before route 1 was built.”
