“From Sandy point, head east along Sandy Point road until you reach the beach. Turn right onto the beach. Summer period sees a fee to drive your vehicle on the beach. A great shallow body of water for boating (launching off the beach, be careful of tides), kayaking, wind/kite surfing, beach activities, fishing and dune surfing. A beach walk around the point will get you out to the open ocean beach. Toilets and camp tables on the right at the beginning of the beach access.”

“Once a ship called Waratah stopped here for repairs and this is where this stunning bay got it's name. It's another one of the gorgeous beaches on offer in South Gippsland. It's not spoiled... there is no commercialism... simply people enjoying what nature has to offer. The views are dazzling... you have views across the bay and their hazy blue outlines will incite your imagination. Take everything with you as there are no shops or service station. Nice kids park & toilets across the road”
