Café
“My favorite NC music venue. Not nearly as many shows as Cat's Cradle- but if you get a chance to see someone here, take it. ”

Food
“This is my favorite brewery in North Carolina, and I've drank beer at most of them! They source from area farmers and create farmhouse-style saison type beers. Everything from a pilsner to a stout, they've got it on draft. There's a small patio outside with benches to sit and relax. I recommend starting here with a flight, then heading upstairs to The Eddy Pub for some food. You'll need it!”

“A great little spot to get some work done and enjoy the views of the Haw River. Or just sit and sip some great coffee and pastries from Village Bakehouse. Open 7am-2pm during the week, and the only place in town open early for coffee and bagels/muffins/etc. Also the box office for The Haw River Ballroom. Get tickets to a concert here!”

“This is exactly what you think it is, a local butchery. Local, sustainably raised meats processed and prepared for you to take home and enjoy. Know that you're supporting local farmers who truly care about the quality of life for their animals and the community of which they are an integral part. ”

“Benjamin Vineyards does a great job at creating tasty wines from North Carolina's scuppernong and muscadine grapes. Not too sweet like some more well known NC wineries. Also a great picnic spot.”

Home Goods Store
“This is just up the road on Highway 87. Debbie, the owner, is so lovely. The store is open only on Fridays and Saturdays, but it's worth a visit. Unique home furnishings at reasonable prices. Like a beautiful thrift shop where everything is already beautifully refurbished!”
