German Restaurant
“Around 1900, Schwabing was the centre of the bohemian artists' life: the artists settled not far from the Academy of Fine Arts and Anton Azbé's painting school: Wassily Kandinsky and Gabriele Münter lived in the Georgenhof during their romance. In the seventies, the inn became a modern, elegant barbecue room and in the summer of 2008 a new phase began: completely renovated by the owner Augustinerbräu and under new management, the Georgenhof shone in new splendour. Appetite for hearty roast pork or homemade Obatzda with red onions and pickles? Or a wild herb salad with caramelized goat cheese tart? To a cosy afternoon in the beer garden or a light, fast business lunch in our restaurant? If yes, go there :) My favorite dish is a Schnitzel or game meat!”

Vegetarian / Vegan Restaurant
“CAFE IGNAZ & TOCHTER | GEORGENSTR. 67 | MUNICH | WWW.IGNAZ-CAFE.DE I fell in love with this place when I was living close by and it became my favorite take away after long working days and also one of my favorite places for brunch. The place exists for about 27 years so I think this says it all. They offer a great brunch buffet on different week days (check their web page for more details) and I advise you to reserve a place in advance, as they don’t have so many tables inside. Their kitchen offers a lot of dishes, also vegan ones and a daily menu, which doesn’t make the choice easier. And their glass case is always full of delicious cakes; the size is amazingly big -still never made out of there with just one piece of cake. They have an absolutely great lunch offer, which includes a main course and a starter (soup or salad) or one piece of cake of your choice. Prices are great and the portions are huge. Besides that, they also offer a happy hour menu with a main course and cake. In the summer time they have a couple of tables outside, which makes it easier finding a free spot. Otherwise I strongly recommend reserving a table and/or of course, take away.”
