Seasalter Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Seasalter

Beach-side house on private estate on the outskirts of Whitstable which is a lovely walk away. It is just as cosy for one guest on their own as it is for a couple or a group of up to 8 people comfortably.
Quiet, cosy and clean but somewhat dated bungalow chalet with stunning sunset and sea views, set on a private estate on the beach front. It's not Club Med and needs a lick of paint but it's a relaxing place to stay! It has three double bedrooms and one twin. As soon as you are inside you are blown away by the peaceful location and breathtaking views. It is a beautiful walk into the bustling town and Harbour.
Whitstable is a quaint fishing town dating back to 1700s which now has a bohemian charm and is full of independent shops, restaurants and galleries. It's main fame is its sunsets which inspired Turner and oysters which attracts visitors from far and wide. You can enjoy these at many of the local restaurants and pubs. Things to do: The Beach – take a stroll or sit and eat fish n chips, indulge in an ice-cream while enjoying the views and the sunsets any time of year. The tide goes out a long way and comes back in slowly two times a day. If you go walking out when the tide is low make sure you wear Wellington Boots and if you go for a swim at high-tide make sure you help yourself to a pair of our swimming shoes. Boardworx for Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Watersports hire. Whitstable Harbour – fishing, stalls, shops and cafes. Harbour Street – full of independent and tempting shops. Whitstable Castle and Gardens dated 1790s, Tower Hill – walk around inside and out and go for Tea. Look out for their antiques and vintage fairs held at weekends. Maunsell Forts – armed gun towers which were built in second World War. You can take a barge trip from the South Quay to see these magnificent structures. The Playhouse Theatre – plays, music, comedy. The Horsebridge – Arts Centre which changes is program often. Whitstable Museum and Gallery, 5 Oxford Street. Well worth a visit. Whitstable has very interesting maritime history. Cycle path takes you all away round the coast to Tankerton, Herne Bay and beyond. Or you cycle along take the Crab and Winkle railway line into Canterbury. Tankerton Slopes – well worth a walk. Clowes Wood for walks and cycle rides. Go crabbing by Harbour. The historic cathedral city of Canterbury is a 15 minute drive away. Things to do: Canterbury Cathedral Canterbury Guided Walking Tours with Ghost tours in the evenings: (URL HIDDEN) The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer. A nature trip along the river. A historical trip along the river. Gallery and museums: The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, The Heritage Museum, Roman Museum, Kent Museum of Freemasonry The Marlowe Theatre – book in advance. Curzon cinema – links to the Royal Opera House and streams live productions. Shopping – The Kings Mile which is the old town, and Whitefriars Parks: Howletts Wild Animal Park and Wildwood which are both fantastic for younger children. Cafes and Restaurants: From the house, walk 15 minutes along the beach on to Island Wall to one of our favouite cafes, Windy Corner Stores, where you can buy coffee, breakfast or a few basics. Walk a little further and enjoy the sunset or a band at the weekends with a glass of wine at the Old Neptune pub on the beach. Harbour Street Tapas is a must in Whitstable and so is JoJos on Tankerton Slopes. Try the pop-up curry nights at the Cafe Kitchen which is the best place in the area for a curry. Eat fish and oysters at the Oyster Company on the beach or book in advance at Wheelers for a real treat. Walk half an hour in the opposite direction from the house to the Michelin starred Sportsman but expect to book months in advance for weekend booking. If you have a car, stock up with the freshest produce at Macknade Fine Foods in Faversham. If you go into Canterbury do not miss The Goods Shed by Canterbury West train station for coffee, cocktails, small dishes, pastries, groceries, wine, the fish mongers or their restaurant. It's a quiet neighbourhood so please no parties.
  • Is it possible to give a higher start rating??? This place was AMAZING. Wayyyy better than what the pictures show. You can literally see the ocean from your bed. I was settling into uni and this house was only 10 minutes away and maybe 15 from Canterbury town. It was very clean, and Amy was extremely nice accommodating. She even stopped by when we weren't sure how to use the heater! Great location, beautiful home. 10/10 would recommend.

    Whitstable Sunset Chalet
    3 reviews
2 bedroom static caravan sleeping 4 comfortably or 6 at a squeeze. Situated on outer row of Alberta caravan park overlooking RSPB field. Beautiful views and sunsets.
Ensuite toilet to double bedroom. Second toilet is in shower room opposite twin bedroom. Clean bedding will be left on your beds for you to make up, all you need to bring is your own towels.
Seasalter is near Whitstable, famous for its oysters. My caravan is on the outer row of caravans next to a dyke. In summer, you are likely to have a swan and moorhens swimming past your window. If you are feeling energetic you can walk along the path to Whitstable, by the sea. If you are feeling less energetic you don't need to go all the way to Whitstable, it is still a lovely seaside walk. Whitstable is filled with pretty shops and cafes.
  • A lovely caravan in a great location - perfect for families,

    Steve2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. Lovely and quiet if you want that or lively in the public areas. There are some great places to eat nearby and lovely scenery.

    Maureen2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely modern accommodation with fantastic views from the veranda.

    Robin2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan is very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sun. We loved exploring Seasalter beach and nearby Whitstable. We also loved Canterbury. Jenny was a great host and her caravan is great. Many thanks!

    Joanna2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We used to live in Kent and needed somewhere to use as a base whilst visiting friends and family. Jenny gave us clear and concise instructions prior to our arrival which really did help. The caravan is on an outer row which is a bonus as the views over the fields are amazing, especially at dusk. Watching the swans and other birds swimming along the dyke below us was great and so relaxing. The caravan itself is very spacious with all the "mod-cons". An ensuite to the main bedroom was really benefial as the children could have their own bathroom. The site itself was very clean and tidy and was not noisy at all. Overall we had a fab stay and would certainly visit again.

    Paul2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's caravan is a delight to stay in, the location is great as it's a 5 min walk to the beach but feels secluded as it's located on the edge of the caravan park with beautiful views over the adjacent fields. It's has all the modcons to make it a very comfortable stay (we weren't expecting a dishwasher!), the Dvd player and collection of dvds were a great touch. Jenny was prompt in communications and the lady from who we collected the keys was understanding when we got stuck in traffic on the way there. Overall, we had a great stay, thanks very much!

  • Lovely caravan in a great location. We booked the caravan because we wanted to come to this area and this was good value compared to anything else available. We'd never stayed in a static caravan, or on a holiday park, before and weren't sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised and had a fantastic time. The children (2 and 5) absolutely loved staying in the caravan. They were very excited to be able to see the trains going across the other side of the field (although note that the railway is far enough away that you can't hear it with the windows closed and even with all windows open it wasn't loud enough to be intrusive). The interior is fairly new and nicely done with pretty much everything you might want. It is a good sized space for four people. The patio doors opening onto the decking and overlooking the fields are a great feature. A lovely spot to relax and watch the beautiful sunsets or let the kids out into a secure outside space (the decking is gated). We were there in July in a heat wave and were a bit worried we would roast in a caravan, but this actually wasn't a problem. It did get warm while we were out and had all the windows closed but there was always a bit of breeze off the sea and once all the windows were open it cooled down pretty quickly. Although there are quite a lot of other caravans on the site, we didn't feel crowded in at all (it has a good position on the outside row). The neighbours on the site were friendly. We had fun in the on-site swimming pool and playground. The beach is short walk away and there are sandy beaches within easy driving distance. It is a lovely area and the nearby towns (Whitstable, Canterbury and Faversham) are all worth visiting.

  • Wonderful place to stay for a relaxing weekend, the views are great, so close to the sea and amazing sunsets. Jenny's caravan is smart, modern, bright and airy with a well equipped kitchen. Excellent selection of board games.

Spacious loft double bedroom. 100m from the sea on a private estate with private beach. Well behaved medium sized dogs welcome (max 2 dogs). Ideal location for access to the Michelin starred Sportsman pub. 25 minute walk to Whitstable along the beach. Perfect getaway for relaxing, walking or cycling. Currently there is building work next door on weekdays 8am - 5pm. This will not affect weekend bookings but guests who are booking for weekdays should be aware. Hopefully the impact will be minimal!
Large airy loft conversion. Double room with seating area including chaise long and armchair. Skylights offering views out across the garden and railway line to distant hills. Black out blinds so you can enjoy a nice lie in. Train noise audible but not offensive. TV and DVD player available with a selection of DVDs. Coffee and tea making facilities included in room. Small fridge hold 4 small bottles or 6 cans. Shared family bathroom downstairs with spacious shower using softened water. Towels provided.
We are located on a private estate in Seasalter about 100m from the beachfront. It is beautiful spot on the North Kent coastline with access to its own private beach. The views from the beach are out to the Isle of Sheppy on your left and Whitstable to your right and on a clear day you see out over to the Essex coast. Great sunsets. Whitstable is the nearest historic town with fabulous shops and restaurants, a castle, boating, paddle boarding clubs. And loads to do. Delightful restaurants in the area - The Sportsman of Seasalter (requires advanced booking as Michelin starred), The Oyster Pearl (at the end of the estate), Whitstable Oyster Fishery Co., Samphire, Pearsons, Jo Jo's and many others, however you will need to book in advance for a weekend. Getting a meal on a Sunday evening will mean a trip into Whitstable as there is nothing available after 5pm locally. Seasalter is great for walking, cycling and a great base for visiting Faversham, Canterbury and Margate.
  • Very comfortable bed, powerful shower, home baked bread for breakfast and shortbread with tea - lovely. Susan is a great host, and her dog TJ is friendly.

  • Room was even better than it looked in photos with tea, coffee and homemade shortbread available in the room. Lovely stay with the beach just round the corner, Susan was easy to communicate with and to arrange check in. And it got even better when we realised that breakfast is also served in the morning!

Also in the house lives TJ which is such a well behaved and loveable dog which I enjoyed spending time with him Without doubt I will be back again. Thank you Sue , you are a great host

  • Susan is such a generous and welcoming hostess. Her house is in a perfect location, so close to the sea and walking distance from Whitstable. She was very relaxed and gave us a delicious breakfast. We were very sad to leave.

    Celia2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice, relaxing time staying at Susan's house. The location is a two minute walk to the beach yet so peaceful as it's on a private road. Susan is an excellent host, always cheerful and full of local tips. The homemade bread in the morning for breakfast was a treat and the shortbread was simply the best. The room is snug, spacious and was everything we wanted it to be. I really can recommend staying here if you want some quality relaxation close to the beach. I'm planning to go back in the winter for sure.

Situated right on the beach in Seasalter, this property is ideal for those who love walking, bird-watching, reading, painting or just chilling on the large deck with a glass of wine admiring the glorious sunsets. A 15 minute walk takes you to the popular Sportsman restaurant. The house is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Whitstable with its delightful Harbour Street boutiques and many restaurants. Canterbury is 20 minutes by car with its famous Cathedral and the Marlowe Theatre
The Beach House is literally on the beach and has panoramic views. The property is small but cosy! There is a double bedroom, a shower room with shower, basin & loo and an open-plan living/kitchen. There is a large deck with a small table and chairs ideal for cocktails. All linen and towels are provided and parking is at the front of the house. The nearest shop is a 10 minute walk away so if you're arriving by taxi it's a good idea to bring supplies with you. Please note that the beach here is very quiet and my neighbours value the peace and tranquility. The property is therefore not suitable for more than two guests, nor for babies & young children or those wishing to hold parties. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Hi Stella, thanks for our stay in your beach house. We loved how it felt like a home away from home. It was great to be able to find everything we needed in the kitchen. Recommend booking the Sportsman Restaurant in advance because we missed out there. Peaceful and relaxing views. Thanks again.

  • Perfect location. Clean, cosy and well equipped.

    Caroline2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful long weekend at Stella's place. It was peaceful and relaxing, we definitely enjoyed being just out of Whitstable for added peace and quiet. The house was totally comfortable. We enjoyed walking to witstable every day along the coast (no car needed : ) Would come back as soon as we can.

  • We've just returned from a glorious two nights stay at the beach house. The house is fantastically located a stone throw away from the sea front in SeaSalter near Whitstable. We enjoyed morning strolls on the beach and lovey dinners on the patio, watching the sunset at night. Both days we walked into Whitstable (50 mins) to enjoy the local seafood and the busier beaches. The house is perfect for a weekend break away from London - just an hour and a half drive to a little piece of heaven. Thank you for having us Stella, we hope to visit again soon!

    Carlie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is ideally overlooking the beach in Seasalter, a few minutes drive from Whitstable beach and the city centre. The amenities are exactly as described and everything is good. The wooden deck is great to relax outside and the living room and 2 bedrooms are cosy and nicely equipped. Ideal for a romantic and relaxing getaway as a couple. The beaches around the house are very nice and scenic, and there are plenty of things to see and do in the area. The White Cliffs of Dover, the castle and the Cathedral of Canterbury are at driving distance and worth a visit. Stella was very responsive and helpful from start to finish. Would definitely recommend The Beach House

    Elise2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little beach house with a gorgeous view of the sea. The sunsets were spectacular

    Rory2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • As a busy working couple we wanted to get away - and this venue certainly ticked all our boxes. Easy access from London - comfort - kitchen facilities - an outside space - solitude and a view to die for!!! We went into Whitstable each evening for dinner - didn't book a table and took pot luck on restaurants and able to get a table easily each night - even on a Saturday evening. Wi-Fi and TV were available in the accommodation, but spent most of the time outside on the beach which was at the bottom of the garden. Even warm enough to swim in the water!! Loathed to recommend this venue to you all - as we want to keep it as a secret location to use again and again !!!

    Louise2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Beach House is one of the best Air BnB's I've ever stayed in. The location is amazing, a large deck just a few feet from a stretch of very quiet pebbled beach. The view is really beautiful and you are totally spoiled for lovely spots to read, relax and enjoy the surroundings. The house itself is perfect, comfortable, really nicely appointed and has everything you need to feel immediately at home. With the doors open to the sea view really life doesn't get much better! Stella was a great host and the check in was no problem at all. Would recommend to all and will definitely be back. A gem. Thank you!

Our three bedroomed, spacious house is in Seasalter, on the Kent coast near Whitstable. It is a spacious "upside down" house, the lounge and kitchen are on the first floor to take advantage of the sea views to the front and protected wetland at the back. We enjoy both sunrise and sunset at the house. Ideal for walkers and birdwatchers, with the Saxon Shore Way and Oare Marshes Reserve close by. The cathedral city of Canterbury is just a short drive away.
The spacious lounge area leads to the front balcony with sea views, and the well equipped kitchen and rear balcony that has unbroken views of the protected wetland. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor. There are 2 bedrooms with Kingsize (5ft) Beds and one room with 3 single beds. There is a large hallway leading to the rear deck area which has a dining area and swing seat. There is one bathroom with a bath, shower, sink and toilet. There is an additional toilet too.
Seasalter is a small friendly community, close to Whitstable, Canterbury and Faversham. There are bus links available from the nearby shops. It's great for peace and quiet, yet close enough to more activity if you want it.

Dough Cottage is a traditional weatherboard cottage, conveniently centrally located just off the High Street; minutes from the beach and all Whitstable's amenities. It has recently been renovated throughout to a high specification. There is no private parking on the property but there is a public car park seconds away.

  • We've been going to Whistable over 10 years but have never stopped over until now. Got child care and booked dough cottage for a bit of reconnecting. Dough cottage was lovely and right behind the main shops but amazingly private. Great modern feel without being pretentious. Definitely will visiting again and again!

  • What a fabulous welcome from Alison. A quick message to let her know of arrival and she appeared promptly with the keys :) We had another fabulous stay in Whitstable. This was our first time at Dough Cottage and would highly recommend. The house was absolutely stunning and beautifully restored. It was well equipped and we had pretty much everything we needed. The welcome food extras were much appreciated and were a really nice touch. The house couldn't have been in a better location and it really felt like home from home. We were fortunate enough to have great weather so whilst at the house, spent a large proportion in the fabulous garden. The house is minutes away from some fabulous bars and restaurants, as well as some fantastic boutiques and of course the sea! Really well located. A really great stay... Thank you to you both x

  • This is the perfect location for a stay in Whitstable! Perfect for a family or couple. The cottage comes equipped with everything you need and the extras left by the host made our stay even more enjoyable. We only booked for one night but I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone wanting to explore Whitstable. It's a minute walk to the high street and less than 10 minutes to the seafront. Perfect!

Our holiday cottage situated directly on the sea front is a light, calm retreat. It is located on the beachfront in the heart of Whitstable close to local pubs, restaurants and cafes. The house offers a fluid living / sleeping space full of rustic charm and simple pleasures. Furnished with natural antiques and quality linens this is the perfect place to unwind with a book whilst watching one of the amazing sunsets.
From the front the garden is crammed with romantic old English planting and overspilling lavender bushes. A bench under the front window allows for sitting and watching the world go by. The cottage interior is crammed full of original features and is wood floored throughout with salvaged doors / a kitchen made from reclaimed shop fittings and parquet. There are two cosy living rooms with working fires and a curtained reading bed with feather mattress, a large light kitchen with a Rayburn, blender, coffee maker and breakfast table. There is also a large dining conservatory with old encaustic tiles and a table seating 8. Attention has been paid to small extras such as dimmable lighting and black out blinds. Mattresses have thick toppers and fluffy feather duvets and pillows. The house is full of books, a record player and radios; there is no dishwasher and no television, we do have WIFI. The quirky cobbled garden is planted with lavender and herbs and also has a table that seats eight. Please Note! Being a small cottage the stairs are steep- there is no stairgate but doors can be shut to stop children reaching these if necessary. One of the bedrooms is also a mezzanine above the master bedroom and the bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom. This is why the property is only really suitable for one family or very good friends! We have lived in the cottage as a family with 3 small boys but some people may find the combination of steep cottage style stairs and a mezzanine worrying for them. As we are a seafront property there is no road access directly in front or behind us. Cars can be unloaded in side lanes a 2 minute walk from us either side. The nearest parking is on Nelson Road. There are instructions on how to use the Rayburn but there is also a convection oven in the microwave and a little portable mini hob. There is a selection of paper, wooden toys, brio trains and dressing up bits for young children in the chest in the conservatory/dining room. There are board games, art books, general literature and magazines throughout the house.
The cottage is in the pretty conservation area in Whitstable. It is very close to the famous Neptune pub on the beach. There is a local shop and cafe that is useful for supplies called 'windy stores' around the corner which also serves the best breakfasts and roasts in town, also freshly baked bread. Coop /Sainsbury's/spar and Eat 17 are all within 5 minutes walk. Turn right out of the cottage and you can walk to the bustling harbour, the castle with playgrounds and then tankerton slopes and on. Stop for oysters and Bloody Mary's on the way! Turn left and walk towards the more rugged seasalter- if you walk for an hour you'll reach the Michelin starred 'Sportsman' pub. Water is great for swimming and the groynes make the beaches nice and sheltered. The beach is perfect for children and provides hours of entertainment for the little ones. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. There are tennis courts by the beach, countless water sports, drop in art, dance, sport and yoga classes..... let us know your interests in advance and we can let you know what's on while you are visiting. Details of all other events / restaurants and cafes etc will be left in the cottage.
  • We had such a fabulous stay here. Gorgeous house right on the seafront. Stayed with our girls aged 8 and 5 - they loved simply stepping out the front door and running on to the beach. A great antidote to the craziness of London life. Jo was a very friendly, welcoming host and even picked up some goods for us from the local store. We very much hope to be back! Thanks.

The accommodation was perfectly located for sightseeing and restaurants. Sandwich the dog was lovely too. Would definitely stay again or recommend others to stay.

The most hospitable and generous hosts, my room was warm and comfortable. Teas, soaps, bathrobes and towels are all thoughtfully laid out. Breakfast was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend highly to others, and look forward to returning next time I am in Whitstable.

Our neighborhood Seasalter, is a small shanty neighborhood just down the beach from Whitstable town. Its very wild, being situated between marshland and the Swale estuary and has a charm all of its own, with lots of quirky beach chalets along the shoreline. There are two local pubs, The Sportsman, a Michelin starred gastro pub and the oyster Pearl. Seasalter has a protected nature reserve, and is great for bird watchers and wild life enthusiasts. From our window we see kestrels, owls, herons pheasants and many sea birds. If you want to take in all Whitstable has to offer, its a 5 minute drive or a 40 minute leisurely walk along the beach. There is also a bus stop just round the corner. Whitstable boasts lots of great restaurants, cafes pubs and shops, it has a small theater and a great cultural center The Horsbridge, where you can see great art exhibitions, films, comedy, and a host of other shows. There are also numerous great festivals too, from the Oyster fest (July 21st - 28th) WhitLit - Whitstable literary festival (11 - 15th May) and Biennale film festival (4th - 12th June) plus many more.
  • We enjoyed a perfect stay in this beautifully crafted space, hosted by the wonderful Jez and Michelle, who were so kind and thoughtful. The hot tub was a dream, the breakfast delicious and so generous, and the bed super comfy. Many small touches added so much. And in such a gorgeous location between the meadows and the beach. It was the perfect weekend break for us, can't wait to visit again!

  • Very easy-going hosts, loved the vibe. Nice room, stunning bathroom and lovely terrace. Would recommend it

    Inés2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay and Jez and Michelle were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. When we booked we weren't sure whether we would use the hot tub, but it was so nice we used it four times in two days. The village of Seasalter has a quirky charm and we enjoyed being so close to the sea.

    Steven2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jez and Michelle were brilliant hosts! They made us feel welcome before we'd even stepped through the gate. The house is in a great location, just a £7 cab ride from Whitstable Town centre and a two minute walk from the beach. The bed was very comfy and there are some great films to chose from on the TV. The hot tub was amazing! We didn't want to get out. We will definitely be back!

  • Really lovely room with gorgeous bathroom and hot tub. The room is beautifully presented with lots of lovely detail in the decor. A great place to stay

  • Lovely room and location. Bathroom and garden both stunning! Very private with its own entrance, doesn't feel like you are sharing a house! Jez and Michelle are both really friendly and helpful! Overall a very nice and relaxing weekend! We would definitely go back!

Our self built house is light, airy and open plan, with a feature staircase built around a 200 yr old ships mast. Semi rural, 2 miles from sea. Country buses to Whitstable, Canterbury and Faversham. Fabulous views and walks over hills, fields, and coast. Day trips to London and France.
Downstairs is an open plan kitchen/ dining/ sitting room/ garden room with lots of oak beams and full length windows. Also a cloakroom and toilet. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with en suite, a guest bathroom, a 2nd double room, and a children's room with twin or bunk beds. Outside there is a large parking area, and a garden with lawn, flowers and veg. Our house is all (solar) electric, no gas, with underfloor heating downstairs and a log burner in the main room. (Wood provided)
Yorkletts is a small village (no shops now, but a useful supermarket at the filling station about 0.5 miles) about 2.5 miles away from the popular seaside town of Whitstable with its atmospheric shops, beach and harbour. Our nearest beach is Seasalter about 1.75 miles, which is less sophisticated, with beach huts, caravans, a nature reserve and wonderful sunsets. Also walks on the Saxon Shore Way. There are basic shops and takeaways and pubs there, and an award winning Michelin starred restaurant. Faversham (5miles) is an historic creekside market town with classic Thames sailing barges moored alongside the heritage quay. There are antique shops, good restaurants and an excellent museum. The Cathedral city of Canterbury is 7 miles away. London is an hour by train, and Dover, for day trips across the Channel to France, is about 40 minutes by road or train. There are so many lovely country pubs nearby that it's hard to list them, but we leave details here for you. Our "local" is a mile down the lane, and has a lovely garden, good food, and is very dog and child friendly.
  • We had an amazing time at Sally and Jim's house. It was perfect for us. Plenty of toys for our 2 year old to play with and plenty of space for us all. The garden was lovely with a slide and some swings. Very easy to get to from London and then once there easy travelling distance to Whitstable and Margate. We will definitely be back for more family getaways.

    Tania2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with very friendly and amendable hosts - great location to explore Canterbury and Whitstable with the advantage of being able to escape the crowds at the end of a busy day. A fabulous example of Airbnb at its best.

    Sarah & Tim2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, light, warm house with a huge open-plan downstairs. Great for families with children as there are lots of toys, indoor and outdoor, as well as a dressing up box (big hit with my 3 kids) and a piano! Hosts were lovely and easy to communicate with. We had fab days out in nearby Whitstable (10mins drive) and Canterbury (20mins) as well as gorgeous beaches at Broadstairs (35mins) and Diggerland (30mins). Only reason I can't give the house 5 stars is because it's a bit closer to the dual carriageway than I'd been expecting - the noise doesn't penetrate the double glazing luckily but it does when you open the front windows. Overall though I'd say this is a fantastic place to stay if you want to explore north Kent.

    Mary2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • A really interesting and comfortable bolthole a stones throw from (and with dramatic seaviews over) Whitstable. The combination of a thoughtful and quirky building (featured on the front cover of a home building magazine the month we stayed!), coupled with the equally thoughtful and attentive hospitality of the host made us feel at home almost immediately. A good find.

    Tim2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sally and Jim were excellent hosts, greeted us upon arrival and were there when we handed the keys back so were very accommodating during check in and check out times. House is lovely, spacious and homely! Great for kids, plenty of toys and a cot was provided. We got a lovely sunset view over the houses despite the weather. had to drive to whitstable town centre but that was fine as it was only a 5 minuite drive to town and harbour. All in all great house and great hosts!

    Ben2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bravo! Lovely house and location with welcoming accommodating laissez-faire hosts . We came for a few days and felt instantly relaxed in their charming and spacious home.

    Stefano2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Sally's. The house is even better than what you see on the pictures, it is a very bright, comfortable and a cosy place. From the living room your can enjoy a great view over the bay, and there is a nice little garden surrounded by lands. Very close and easy access from London, and with a great countryside charm. We stayed for a long week-end with friends and our respective two years old kids. The house was perfect, lots of space and very child friendly, with an immense collection or toys. We loved cooking is Sally's big kitchen and even had some fresh kale from her garden. But more importantly Sally and Jim are great hosts, they helped us a lot on preparing the stay, equipping the house with cots and accessories for the kids. They are very kind and very helpful and accomodating hosts. We enjoyed our stay so much, we will certainly come back.

This self contained Log Cabin is seconds from the High Street and is tucked away in its own little plot, less than 400 yards from the beach. It offers a private entrance, a double room with a sofa, TV and facilities to make teas and coffee. A shower room, toilet and sink. The Cabin also has a small courtyard garden with seating for two and a BBQ. It is a great base for anyone looking for a quiet weekend away by the beautiful Kent coast with no reason to use your car once you've arrived.
A cosy, intimate get away perfectly located in the heart of Whitstable. A mere stones throw from the High Street and just a few hundred yards from the beach... the cabin is self contained with its own entrance so no need to tip toe in late at night!
We love that we're just a few minutes from the beach and all the wonderful independent shops, pubs, and restaurants that Whitstable has to offer. Our favourite thing to do, no matter what time of year is to sit on the beach with a bottle of wine and watch the sun set over the sea.
  • Close to the beach, restaurants and town centre. Bed was very comfy - would definitely stay again.

  • Absolutely enjoyed our stay, the little cottage is so cosy and quiet. Yet so close to the shops and wonderful restaurants. Hannah was very helpful with recommendations about restaurants which made my life much easier , since we were celebrating anniversary and I wanted to go somewhere nice to eat.

  • Truly a brilliant place to stay. Easily accessible, perfect location, beautifully designed and very clean and comfortable. Couldn't recommend more and we'll certainly be back. Thanks again!

  • Lovely cosy place, right off the high street but feels very private. Smells pleasantly of pine logs, and comes with an impressive collection of classic and cult films on DVD for a rainy day.

    Mandy2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Just back from a great weekend staying in Hannah's cosy cabin. The weather wasn't particularly kind but the cabin was cosy and warm, it has a heater which is more than sufficient to keep you warm and if it wasn't Hannah left hot water bottles which was a nice touch. The cabin is tucked away behind the high street so has great access to the many bars and restaurants (on arrival I initially thought it might be to close but it was surprisingly quiet) and a short walk to beach. Overall a lovely cabin in a lovely seaside location.

    Meagan2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin. Everything has been well thought out and lots of little touches which make a huge difference. Great base to explore!

  • Hannah was such a great host, her email replies were so helpful and very quick to respond which made planning the trip so easy! The cabin is so great! Loved the wood and the little touches (esp the cereal!) definitely recommend and will go back! It's a great cycle from whitstable to broad stairs and Canterbury!

Whitstable is a charming, creative seaside town. We have great food, live music and arts events which we are happy to give you tips on when you visit.
  • We visited Whitstable for five nights during quite a blustery week. This was such a comfortable, warm and welcoming accommodation. The property is beautifully decorated and even has a little garden to catch the afternoon sun. A super location at the top of the high street surrounded by independent coffee shops, a couple of bookshops, a yarn store with wonderful selection, art galleries, a museum and the Umbrella Centre and Cafe (during our stay we attended their Film Festival, live music event, an Antiques Fair and a Vinyl & CD Fair.) and five minutes walk to the Margo Selby Shop & Design Studio (lush). The property is an easy walk or bus ride from the station (though the car park is located at the back of the Umbrella Cafe Garden). When we were not out on numerous walks with cameras and sketchbooks it was fascinating to relax and sit watching the world go by the living room window. While we're sure Whitstable is full of lots of little accommodation gems this is definitely one that we would return to again and again.

  • Idyllic place in an idyllic seaside town. It was a lovely place for us runners, who were in town to run a race that came through Whitstable, to base our first night. We found everything so close by. And it looks like everything has been redone inside. We wish we could have used the outdoor space, but we'll have to save that for another time. Thanks!

  • Beautiful apartment in the middle of Whitstable; a short walk to the seafront and convenient for shops and restaurants. We spent a lovely couple of days BBQing fresh fish, walking and cycling around the district l, and of course relaxing. Bunk beds a plus for two excited kids. Highly recommended.

    Martin2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful apartment, clean, spacious and with the added benefit of a garden for the grandchildren, it was exactly what we hoped for. The only downside was parking but there were spaces to be found throughout the day in the little lanes at the rear of the property.

Whitstable is a foodie's paradise but reserve that table well in advance as all the best places get booked up. The Sportsman requires 3 months notice at weekends! Amazing low prices. Watch the sun set with a glass in your hand at The Neptune pub. Sit on the sea wall while eating fish and chips. Visit during the winter. Less crowded but still charming.
  • Great place loved Whitstable

    Jane2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Judith was very welcoming. Left us a lovely breakfast each morning. Stable was cute and clean. Great location next to a foot path that leads to the beach. The only thing I would suggest is some more hooks for hanging clothes as there is no closet. An iron and board and a full length mirror on a wall would be nice to have. Other than that it was a lovely quiet retreat for a couple days

    Victoria2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • The stables was a great location for an amazing weekend in Whitstable! Judith was a great host. She met us on arrival, showed us around the accommodation, shared tide times and directed us into town - a short 10 min, scenic walk. The breakfast was delicious - croissants and jam, homemade cake, granola and yoghurt, fresh orange juice and fresh fruit each day left outside the front door so we could enjoy it sitting in the sunshine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the stables had everthing you would need for a weekend away from a hairdryer to mini fridge, fresh milk and tea and coffee to contact details for local taxi firms and soft towels!

    Fay2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Judith's place and couldn't recommend it enough. Judith is a very welcoming, friendly and kind host. We had fantastic homemade breakfasts brought to the door, lovely recommendations and lots of info on hand about Whitstable. The stable and garden are beautifully presented. Thank you Judith, and hope to see you again soon.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed 1 night in Judith's beautifully converted stable. Judith was very welcoming and hospitable. The stable was even better than as described. It was very cosy and warm and helped us to forget about the icy cold winds outside. Everything was clean and beautifully presented. Breakfast in the morning was left outside (at exactly the time we had asked) and far exceeded expectations. A hamper full of raspberries, croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice and muesli. Location wise it was great. Just a short walk to the beach and to our new favourite pub Old Neptune. We couldn't have wished for a better stay in Whitstable. Thanks Judith!

    Hannah2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Judith's place is amazing! Clean and cosy in the most charming of towns. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast hamper in the morning was delicious. Wish we could've stayed longer!

  • Jack was very helpful and prompt with our initial enquiry which was great as this was a last minute decision to book. Excellent value and the flat itself was better than expected, spacious and light with everything we needed. Location was great as closer to town and beach than expected, having the Co-op underneath was very helpful (especially if you have kids) and with 2 restaurants on the doorstep we didn't even need to cook! It was perfect, so much so we will definitely book again and have already recommended it to family and friends. Claire

  • The flat was perfect. It's quiet, comfortable, well-appointed, and only a few minutes walk from all the shops, pubs, and restaurants in Whitstable....and it's directly over the Co-Op, so grocery shopping couldn't be easier. Jack was super easy to work with and communicated everything we needed to know. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to continue me back again soon!

  • Seasalt is a lovely flat in a great location. It had everything we needed for our trip to Whitstable for a friends wedding, including a fully equipped kitchen, and was decorated to a very high standard. Hannah and Kate were always very quick to reply to any questions we had before and during our stay. The only thing to note is that if you're 6ft like me you do have to crouch in the upstairs bedroom, but the very comfy bed more than made up for this! Hopefully we can stay there again soon.

  • Wonderful little flat a short walk from the centre of Whitstable. Coffee shop across the road and a lovely bakery nearby. Furnished beautifully and very spacious and comfortable.

  • Amazing flat. Everything is brand new and it is very tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Hannah was super-helpful even before we arrived with directions, advice and tips, and we could not have wished for a nicer place to stay. No complaints whatsoever; a very convenient, central place to stay with everything you could need there for you to use. Highly recommended!!

  • This apartment is in a great location just by the high street. It's a short walk to the harbour and by loads of shops, restaurants and takeaways. The apartment is newly decorated, contemporary and comfortable. We would happily use it again.

  • This is a little gem of a place, especially for those who love eating out as it's right in the heart of Whitstable town and a short walk from the harbour. The apartment is stylish but comfy and homely, and immaculately clean.

  • We had a lovely stay at Seasalt. Hannah and Kate were excellent hosts, very welcoming and the apartment was very well located and beautifully decorated. We will definitely look to see if this place is available for future visits.

A two floor maisonette, which is a ten minute walk to the beach, tennis courts, shops, pubs, lovely restaurants, bike hire, watersports. Also 10 minutes from train station direct to St Pancras, historic Rochester, Margate and Broadstairs, and minutes from a bus service to Canterbury and Herne Bay . Newly decorated with a modern kitchen and spacious lounge.
Whitstable is a charming sea side town. Everything you need is on foot, from restaurants, pubs to tennis court, indoor swimming and bowling, and watersports. It is also well served for London and there are pleasant towns to visit such as Canterbury and Rochester, and Broadstairs and Margate.
  • What a top find - such a great space, freshly decorated, super clean, well kitted out and a short walk to the waterfront and cute shops on the high street. Living room's a really comfortable size for relaxing and we found the sleeping arrangements worked great for us with our 3 young kids. Nice collection of child-friendly boards games, books and puzzles. Definitely grab dinner at Novelist - a fab new joint down the block. Rebecca from (URL HIDDEN) looked after the kids. They've already asked when they can see her again. Looks like a return visit's on the cards. Thanks Georgina!

  • A really lovely place, beautifully decorated, super close to the town and beach. Georgina was very efficient in communications and everything about the stay worked very smoothly. Whitstable is a great place and this is a great base to explore it from.

  • Lovely, spacious, bright and airy maisonette flat within walking distance of the seafront and town centre. There are some stairs to climb, but this is mentioned in the ad. There is plenty of room for a family holiday - and the flat is very well equipped. I only wish I'd been staying longer - and if I'm ever in Whitstable again, I would definitely stay here!

    Marie2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant location, lovely home away from home. Thoughtful bits and bobs for the kids, such as books and dvd's. A nice walk down to the harbour and sea, with stunning little shops along the way. Highly recommend and would definitely be back again.

  • Georgina's property is perfectly located a short walk from all the shops, coffee houses, restaurants and beach. It's homely and comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

  • The location was at the far end of town, it gave us a chance to explore a different part of Whitstable. The property was ok, the second TV was useful, good shower and seating area, though could've been a bit cleaner and better equipped with more glassses.

  • It was such a great stay and we were sad that it was only one night. We will definitely be back and will book a much longer stay. For people with kids this place is perfect (minus the spiral staircase but a baby gate is available). Elaine, the host, made sure there was a baby cot, many toys and beach equipment available for use. It took my eldest a day before realizing there was Sky TV. The view is amazing and drinks while staring at sunset over the sea was so peaceful. Thank you Elaine for letting us stay. It was amazing.

  • I'm a musician and get to stay in some awful places and some amazing places. The last hotel I stayed in was Chewton Glen in the new forest (check it out online) Seashells out does any top end hotel easily. It's a beautiful house filled with wonderful decor and design. Each room has it's own feel. I love the garden and the balcony from the bedroom looking onto the sea. The bathroom also has a wonderful feel and look to it. I highly recommend this house which makes you feel like a rock star even with kids in tow :)

If you're looking for a Whitstable holiday cottage, then our beach house at Seasalter may be perfect for you. One of just a handful of beach front properties in Whitstable bay, its captivating sea views make it a great place to stay summer or winter. Living literally right on the beach is something quite special, so if your passion is fishing, bird watching or sailing, if you just want to relax, or if you need a base to explore Kent from, you'll love our beach cottage.
If you're looking for a Whitstable holiday cottage, then our beach house at Seasalter may be perfect for you. One of just a handful of beach front properties in Whitstable bay, its captivating sea views make it a great place to stay summer or winter. You'll see by our photo's that this is a pretty unique space with great sea views both from inside and from our deck. The sea is literally at the bottom of the garden and Whitstable is within walking or cycling distance. It's perfect if you enjoy bird watching as there are plenty of waders and seabirds and right opposite the house we have the Seasalter levels, an RSPB preserve. It's also great for fishermen as you can both fish off the beach or jetty and you have freshwater fishing on the levels literally on your doorstep. If you're into sailing or windsurfing or kite surfing, you'll find that the bay with a southerly wind and flat seas is one of the best places there is for water sports and it's never crowded. The whole house is yours to enjoy. We like to help wherever we can, if you have any questions before you book whether that's needing some guidance on the best walks or where to eat out, or you want to know anything about our facilities, then we're more than happy to help. Local Information - Seasalter & Whitstable Seasalter is steeped in history and dates back to the Iron Age when salt evaporation made the area wealthy. In the 18th Century it was a notable smuggling centre. Being a quiet and isolated hamlet (just far enough away from the Customs officers in Whitstable), goods were often landed along the beach near the Blue Anchor Pub (now the Oyster Pearl), it became the home of the infamous "Seasalter Company" which was active for over a century and became one of the most profitable smuggling organisations of the time, one of its 'members' leaving over £20 million pounds in 1812, a fortune of over £200 million today. Today Seasalter's beachside is still not too far removed from that quiet hamlet, with just 40 odd homes on the seward side of Faversham Road, they are a mixture of residential and holiday homes with several well known celebrities having homes locally. Famous for its sea views and sunsets, Seasalter provides open sea views with easy access to the beach and is popular with both locals and tourists alike, it's also popular with fishermen and bird watchers and is the home of the Seasalter Sailing Club, the bays flat water providing perfect conditions for catamaran racing. The Seasalter Levels run along the landward side of Faversham Road and are a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Local Nature Reserve. Partly managed by the RSPB, it provides a haven for migratory birds and waterfowl and forms part of the North Kent Freshwater Grazing Marsh. To the east our Local Pub is the Oyster Pearl, which provides good food and local beers. A little further away and to the west there's also the Michelin Starred Sportsman Restaurant, which continues to serve excellent food in a traditional pub setting. Seasalter has a local Co-Operative food store that's well stocked and also keeps local produce, plus there's a post office and general store and Waldens store, which is open during the holiday sesson. Whitstable town is just 10 minutes away by car, or about an hour's stroll along the beach. These days Whitstable is a thriving town with an active harbour, traditional high street with all the usual brands, plus a collection of eclectiic and interesting shops and galleries and a great selection of pubs and restaurants, so if you prefer to eat out you'll be spoilt for choice. Whitstable is justifiably famous for its oysters. The extremely popular Whitstable Oyster festival this year runs from the 24th - 29th July. To the east Faversham is also well worth a visit and again is steeped in history, both nautical and more famously for brewing, Shepherd Neame still have their main brewery in the town and make some excellent local beers. Six miles to the South is Canterbury, with its Cathedral, beautiful old buildings and extensive shopping it's a magnet for visitors from home and abroad. Further afield the towns of Thanet provide many more places to visit, Herne Bay, Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate and Sandwich are all in easy reach, so there's no shortage of places to go. If you don't have a car, there is an irregular bus service that passes the house, but the area is great for cycling and the Faversham Road is a popular Sunday Cycle Route for locals and cycling clubs. If you are coming by train to Whitstable and cycling to the house it's a very comfortable 20 minute ride to the house from Whitstable Station
  • loved the attention to detail on every aspect of the beautiful home, great location, great views over Whitstable bay, entertaining watching the dynamics of the sparrow families that live on the fence in their little boxes, quiet, with great sunsets, crab fishing and pottering about with he kids just a short step over the garden wall.

  • This is a beautiful house, furnished and decorated to a very high standard, everything is spotless. The location is every bit as good as it looks, with the sea at the end of the garden. It was wonderful every morning to wake up and have a cup of tea looking at the ever changing view. I went with my three children (10+ years) and they loved the freedom to roam on the beach or play with a bat and ball in the wild part of the garden. Evenings were very enjoyable too with a super tv, and Whitstable's many restaurants a short drive (or longer walk as we did one day) away. We also visited Herne Bay and Margate, but loved coming back to Seasalter best of all.

  • A lovely beachside cottage perfect for anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway. Very clean and comfortable with great views across the Estuary and had everything we needed. Communication with James and Jakki was easy and they were very responsive when we needed them. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others wanting the same.

  • We had such a great time at the Cottage. It is indeed a home away from home and the perfect place to scape from de busy city! The house is beautiful inside with every detail very well thought and the view is relaxing and beautiful. We had the best luck with the weather so it was a perfect sunny weekend by the beach with some friends. Jakki even has great movies to watch at night ! Will definitely come back.

  • We were very happy with our stay at Seasalter! The house was very clean, well designed with thoughtful touches. We felt right at home! Jakki was quick at communication and provided a great guide on things to do locally and useful information. We had a mixture of warm and cold days and the house was well suited to either. Cosy when cold and lovely and cool when warmer, especially on the deck overlooking the sea! I would highly recommend staying at Seasalter!

    Spencer2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • From start to finish everything was perfect with help from Jakki. The communication leading up to our visit was excellent. The cottage is spotless and we love the way it has been laid out and the attention to detail for all those little things that can come in handy. The location is fantastic right on the coast and the walks, cycling, and generic relaxation is available is equal measures. A treat and will return in the future if possible.

  • Beautiful weekend with family. Chris was really helpful. Beach in the back garden amazing place. Would definitely go back again.

    Nancy2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Chris's lovely place which was spotlessly clean and very organised. Everything has been thought of from freshly baked bread and milk to a basket full of chopped wood ready for lighting the fire. It was very cosy at night and wonderful to wake up to the sea view in the morning. We will stay here again!

  • Another gorgeous stay in Seasalter. Delighted to return for a couple of days of sea air. See you again soon, no doubt!

    Shiv2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A magical place enjoyed by our whole family. Our children were begging to go back before we even left!

    Lisa2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • In one word: wow! Chris was very welcoming. Inside her gorgeous beachhouse we found a loaf of bread, delicious green asparagus and local beers as a welcome on the table and eggs, butter and milk in the fridge which was suuuupernice and saved us a trip to the supermarket the first night. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures and even better! The garden is a lovely place to hang out, while the children play and have the time of their lives. The beach is beautiful and you have an excellent view of the seaforts! We went searching for oysters, collected beautiful stones, built a sandcastle/ volcano, fished,... The pub, which is only a short walk by the beach is very nice and the town Whitstable, only 5 minutes by car, is supercosy and has nice shops with a vintage feel. We would highly recommend a stay at Chris' Airbnb!

    Siel2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband spent a couple of days in Chris's beatiful chalet and I can't recommend it enough. It is as pretty as in the photos and the sea right outside the fence. A wonderful spot for a relaxing vacation.

    Diana2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay at Chris's Beach Chalet, the place was even better than the photo's, spacious, spotlessly clean, artfully decorated, beds and bedding more comfy than at home, and all the little things that are annoying to pack for a few days away Chris had provided (salt, pepper, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, loo rolls, etc), plus extra's like a fresh loaf, butter and milk were very welcome. Bathroom towels were supplied, and even beach towels. The binoculars came in very handy, we became quite good at identifying the various sea birds on a low tide! When the weather turned bad we didn't mind as it was such a lovely place to be - we just sat and watched the sea and enjoyed the space. Chris was easy to contact and when we arrived earlier than expected, she was able to accommodate us. We walked the short distance to enjoy fish and chips and a decent glass of wine at the nearby Oyster Pearl and found the locals in there friendly. Also walked along the front into Whitstable and went in the Windy Corner Cafe and the Umbrella Cafe, both cosy and good food/drink. Visited Faversham for the food market. Lovely area, feels a million miles from the M25. Thank you for a fab break.

    Lyn2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic, relaxing place. We loved the chalet which was perfect for a mini break and it would be even better to stay for longer. The view from the garden is wonderful and the walk along the coast to Whitstable was awesome. The chalet is lovely, well equipped and clean. Thanks so much for the prosecco and fresh food.

  • The Hideaway was great for our quick weekend in Whistable, and we especially appreciated that it is dog friendly. The house was well presented and accurately reflected the website description. Instructions were straightforward and comprehensive. It's also very well located and has a lovely traditional pub across the street. The newly renovated bedroom and ensuite is particularly lovely with fantastic sea views through a floor to ceiling window, and there’s a small back garden idea that’s ideal for a morning coffee or tea. We also appreciated the responsiveness of the owner, who was always available to answer any questions.

Our house "Bounty" is right on the shingle beach of Seasalter/Kent near the famous Oyster town Whitstable. The views from the balcony over to the isle of Sheppey are breathtaking. Our guests rave about the sunsets they enjoy from Bounty.
Bounty is a scandinavian style house with maritime flair. our aim is to present it cosy and comfortable. guests who prefer designer style or hotel like houses should book somewhere else. the location right on the beach is simply unbeatable. colour of the water and the clouds changes all the time, we love to watch the tide go in and out accompanied by a cup of tea and a good book, heaven!
the private estate where you find our Bounty is very unique as it is one of the 2 spots in England where the residents actually own the beach in front their houses! very quiet and relaxing , no noisy neighbours, very private a real beauty spot! house prices rocketing!
  • Great host , great location, great place for both families or couples to stay and relax , we all loved the football table ! Very homely !

I have spent 2 years lovingly restoring my special house situated in Sydenham street which is 30 seconds from the heart of Harbour Street where you will find all the very best of Whitstable including boutique stores, thriving art scene, restaurants and so much more! The Beach is less then a 5 minute walk & the beautiful catherdral city of Canterbury is a 15 minute drive away. **Weekday Special £120 per night (Mon-Thurs)**. **Weekends £170.00 per night (Fri-Sun)**.
The house is in a perfect spot to be in the hub off it all, literally open your front door turn right and your on Harbour street. Watch the oyster festival from the front door. Turn right into harbour street and the working harbour is a 5 min walk from the house. Bicycle hire is next door but two from the house.
Whitstable is a quaint old seaside town with its working harbour. Famous for its Whitstable oysters and home brewed Whitstable beer. Wonderful timeless shops and boutiques. Interesting places to eat and sample the fresh fish on offer.
  • Great place and location. Handy for all the shops, beaches, restaurants and pubs. Lovely secluded garden. Very pleasant and well-decorated. Would recommend.

  • A wonderful immaculate house close to all the shops, restaurants needed to make this a great place to stay. You can tell that Lindz has taken so much care and love and attention to detai. I took my two grandchildren and they loved the house the small garden and tv area. Lindz was very helpful both before check-in and after check-in. A great place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Lindz.

  • A lovely stay, very clean and every Was easy to use. Kitchen equipment quite basic, but grest otherwise. Perfect location for access into the town centre.

    Caroline2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in Whitstable, the house was beautifully clean and ideally located to explore the town and beach. The information provided by Lindz was detailed and very useful. The only comment I would have to make is that the shower is not very powerful but we loved nit.

    Lorna2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house is great - only a few steps to Harbour Street so a brilliant location. Really nicely refurbished and a lovely garden which was a fantastic sun trap. Lindz replied really quickly to all of my queries so all in all a perfect stay. Thank you Lindz!

  • Perfect location to everything in Whitstable and an absolutely spotless and beautiful place. I stayed with my family and we had an amazing few nights, felt extremely at home!

  • We had an amazing weekend in Whitstable. Lindz's place is beautifully refurbished and comfortable, with plenty of space for two couples to stretch out and relax. The patio is particularly special on a beautiful summer's evening. The location couldn't be more perfect, with a 3 minute walk to the beach and Harbour Street. While being very central, the house is on a quiet street so you won't be disturbed by late night walkers. We couldn't recommend it more and will definitely be back.

The house is on the most desirable road in Whitstable. The beach is 2 minutes walk away. What is really great about this space is that we have 2 separate living areas and 2 bathrooms so 2 couples can spend time together but also have time apart.
This is a light and airy, spacious, semi detached house. There are two reception rooms and two bedrooms. The downstairs reception room has a sofa bed in it. The house has just been renovated including a new kitchen and bathroom. There is a lovely mature garden, with a sun patio at the far end. Access to washing machine. Kitchen self contained with fridge, hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Hairdryer and iron also available.
Whitstable is famous for its oysters and beautiful coastline. It is an ideal place to go walking, relaxing, eating and drinking as there are great restaurants and pubs nearby. At the sea side end of the street is 'Windy Corner', a fabulous place for breakfast and lunch. The main shopping street is one minute from the house and the beach is 2 minutes away in the other direction
  • Lovely house. Close to all amenities and just a short walk from the beach. Peter was a great host providing us with lots of information and friendly advice. Recommended.

    Gareth2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was a bit disappointing as on arrival at 7pm, there were no keys in the lock box and the house had not been cleaned, but after calling Peter, a neighbor bought round keys & the cleaner then arrived whilst we went out. Peter was very apologetic & sent a bottle of wine & agreed to credit £50. Peter had mentioned the day before the one shower was temperamental, but it did not then run any hot water at all, and we really only booked the property because it had 2 separate bathrooms. It was a shame, as Peter was a nice guy but it was not really what we had planned.

  • We found the house easily. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Wifi was fast and efficient. Very little street noise. Nice pub 2 minutes from property.

  • Excellent location. Really nice house. Very roomy but cosy. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you

    Rebecca2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great house for our group of two couples - plenty of space (in fact too much as we were out almost all of the weekend, so only really slept there!). All clean and tidy and comfortable, with everything you might need provided. The house is in a great position, close to everything in the town centre of Whitstable and also the beach. Would recommend and would stay again at the drop of a hat. It was also very reasonably priced for the position and size compared to other properties available. Peter is very swift at responding to contact and provided great info by emails and in the packs in the house. Thank you, Peter - it was a pleasure staying in your house.

  • Stayed for a 3 night break in August 2016 and could not have asked for more. The house was very clean and comfortable and met all out needs, especially the large kitchen and upstairs lounge along with 2 bathrooms which came in handy for 2 families. Peter was a fantastic host that dealt with all questions and queries quickly and I felt nothing would be too much trouble. Fantastic house in a great location, would not hesitate to stay in this property again.

    Paul2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This house is in a great location, suitable for two couples, it is well equipped and comfortable. I hope to go again soon. Very easy to get to the sea, shops and restaurants but in a quiet road, perfect.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Peters house. It was immaculately kept and truly felt like a home from home. I had my parents stay with us and the cosy lounge room upstairs gave us a place to relax in the evening. Having the garden meant that we could enjoy the sunshine and just relax for the mornings which really made the four day break feel like a holiday. Thank you Peter, we would definitely book again.

Breathtaking views of the Estuary and Whitstable’s world famous sunsets. Courtyard garden with patio seating area. Private parking for 2 cars. Pets accepted.
  • A great spot to enjoy Whitstable from. Communication was good, we even got made aware via a neighbour when our pooch was a little unsettled when we'd popped out for some food and left her at the house. The living space is a little on the small side and the top floor bedroom have limited ceiling height. However, a very comfortable and pleasant stay and a great kitchen and garden for entertaining as a group of 6 for my 30th birthday. Perfect location on the beach front for walks and exploring. Thank you!

  • Beautiful location, near everything.

  • Old Vines is in the perfect location to explore Whitstable. Sunset suppers on the beach; oysters for breakfast; fabulous little foodie pop-ups and cafes which are delightful. The house is nicely furnished, beds are super comfy, fluffy towels and well equipped. I'd add a bbq and a couple of deck chairs for the beach and you'd never leave!

The Old Grain Store is a beautifully converted, 2 storey warehouse. Set in a quiet turning off main high street, this family friendly house is a short stroll from the beach. Huge rooms / + 2 extra beds if needed / sleeps 4-6 / dogs welcome / Wifi.
If you're looking for something a bit unique, The Old Grain Store is the perfect seaside retreat, located just off the main high street in a quiet residential turning. Converted around 20 years ago, it offers the ideal balance of industrial character, with modern comforts. Beautifully styled throughout with great attention to detail, it feels spacious yet cosy and is ideal for anyone wanting to feel a sense of privacy. The house is arranged with a large open-plan kitchen/reception on the ground floor. The kitchen sits to one side of the room and has integrated appliances (no microwave) and a practical granite worktop. An eclectic mix of vintage crockery lines the open shelves and all the basic utensils are provided. The dining area can seat up to 10 guests - if you're feeling sociable - and there is enough seating in the living room for everyone to stretch out. With white-washed brick walls, exposed beams and navy painted floorboards, it is a timeless space that's incredibly easy to enjoy. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The house sleeps 4, but should you wish to double up with the kids, we can provide 2 substantial 'camp' beds. The master is probably large enough to be 2 rooms, but features a lovely reading area. There is a king size antique French bed, upholstered in Russian linen and a large double wardrobe if you're staying for a longer trip. The second bedroom has a lovely oak double bed and small chest of drawers. Smaller than the master, but by no means inferior, it has a very peaceful ambiance. Both rooms have white-washed floorboards and white-washed brickwork which add to the sense of peacefulness of the spaces. The bathroom has lovely reclaimed gymnasium wood floorboards, wood panelling and has a bathtub with overhead shower. There is also a separate guest wc. Towels and bedlinen are provided.
Whitstable is the perfect weekend tonic. A creative seaside community that has some of the best restaurants on the Kent coast. It's easily accessible by car from London and approx 1hr20mins on the train. Or for those cyclists out there it's a 70 mile trip that takes in some pretty Kent villages. The home of 'the oyster', this coastline offers some beautiful walks either East toward Seasalter (and the Michelin * pub The Sportsman) or West towards Broadstairs and Margate - past a fabulous array of weatherboard cottages, fishermens' huts and of course beach huts. Winter or summer, it makes no difference, you still feel like you've had a 2 week holiday within hours of arriving. A list of recommendations is in the house for you to pick and chose from.

  • Such an amazingly stylish pad so close to absolutely everything. Tanya was incredibly responsive and gave us tips on local spot which was great. We will definitely be back!

  • A wonderful property and excellent host, we'll definitely look to stay here again.

    Susie2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tanya's place was fantastic! It's just as stunning as it looks in the pictures, a really well designed and unique space. Tanya had thought of everything; board games, reading books and a care package on arrival with much needed snacks & wine! The location is great too. Right at the end of the High street or a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. We found there was lots to see and do in Whitstable and it was all made easier by the notes and recommendations that Tanya had written down for us. The one slight difficulty I should mention is parking. The streets are narrow and busy (it didn't help we were there during the oyster festival!) We were able to find a park right outside but it was so busy we dare not move it! It didn't affect our holiday though because we spent most days wandering around Whistable and then decided to catch the train to Canterbury (the station is about a 10 minute walk away). So yes it's not impossible to park but it is quite challenging! All in all though we would highly recommend this place!

    Ashleigh 2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We all absolutely loved our weekend stay. The house absolutely lived up to the amazing pictures online and our own high expectations. It was brilliantly cosy, warm and for somewhere so new, Tanya had thought of everything you might need. Without a doubt we'll be going back in a few months time - Neil

    Neil2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic, beautifully decorated warehouse. Lots of space for two adults and two little kids, everything had been thought of - I took a cool bag with milk, butter etc, but needn't have as Tanya had provided for us, including some nice wine and nibbles! Great location, quiet but very short walk to buzz of beach and highstreet. We had a great time, thank you.

    Rachel2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya's place was perfect! Loved the location, the decor, and communicating with Tanya was super easy. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. There was also a lovely welcome basket with some food essentials when we arrived and a great little write up of things to do in Whitstable.

  • Great place to base a Whitstable visit and very helpful and pleasant hosts. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

  • We really loved staying here, our host Christina was so thoughtful, bringing us a fan during a big heat wave and also providing extra children's books and DVDs for our daughter who is 18 months old. She thought of everything ahead of time meaning we didn't have to ask for anything. On top of this, the studio apartment was beautifully decorated and the courtyard garden was the perfect place to spend a peaceful summer evening! We loved it and will definitely return next time we visit Whitstable.

  • Outstanding host! Christina went over and above your usual Airbnb'er. With a current broken ankle and a few mins walk from town, i found the first day getting around a little difficult. Christina sourced us one that day and the rest of the weekend was a dream. Great recommendations when asked for local food joints and great constant communication if needed anything. Would defo come back to stay. Bed was lovely and comfortable and had two great nights sleep in The Pearl. Thanks
