Point of Interest
“The park is beautiful in so many ways and a short walk can take you through a diverse marshy landscape that leads you right up to one of Savannah’s winding back rivers! Perfect place if you’re looking to go for a short walk or have a family picnic. ”

Museum
“The Pin Point Heritage Museum, located in the old A.S. Varn & Son Oyster and Crab Factory, offers a chance to experience the Gullah/Geechee culture first hand. For nearly 100 years, the community of Pin Point was quietly isolated on the banks of the Moon River just south of Savannah, but now the museum offers a chance to explore its history. ”

Lake
“Feed the ducks! In the neighborhood. Like so much of Savannah...you are welcomed to the park with a statue/public art. Great community park with gorgeous lake views. There is a walking path around the perimeter which gives you great views of the lake, park, etc. There are quite a few picnic shelters, including one large shelter for at least 50 people in center of park. Nice playground area for the little people. ”

Aquarium
“ Nestled on a gorgeous tract of land at the very end of Skidaway Island, the University of Georgia Marine Education Center and Aquarium is a small yet fascinating place of visitors to learn about the indigenous marine life. The aquarium features 16 exhibit tanks, showcasing a variety of Georgia's marine life. There are also fresh water tanks with 2 alligators and a touch tank that gives visitors a change to interact with snails, crabs and other invertebrates.”

Fish Market
“In the neighborhood. They will sell it to you fresh or cook it there for you to take home! Check out the lowcountry boil. A local favorite dish. Get the seasoning, but I usually pass on the garlic sauce. Ask for cocktail sauce. (be sure to place the shrimp shells outside, you don't want to leave them inside until the morning!)”
