“Snowbird is an unincorporated community in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains near Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S. It is most famous for Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, an alpine skiing and snowboarding area, which opened in December 1971.”

“As a skier who loves big mountains, this is a great resort! It's great for anyone who wants to get off the groomers and ride the trees and deep and steeps. ”

Apres Ski Bar
“There is no view at this bar located at the bottom of the Snowbird Cliff Lodge but it's a good place to go drown your sorrows on an icy, windy, crappy ski day. Ask them if they still have their beer-and-a shot for $5 special. They have TV's, pool tables, and local ski bums. ”

Corner Shop
“General Gritts, located in the Snowbird Center, is convenient for forgotten food items if you can't make it down the canyon, but not recommended for your entire grocery run (your wallet will thank us). Inside General Gritts is a State Run Liquor Store, which is priced the same as Liquor Stores in the Salt Lake Valley, but it is a more limited selection.”

Theme Park
“World Class skiing and snowboarding. Steep runs, less grooming than most resorts (read: powder). Summer - biking, hiking, climbing wall, trampolines, cart rides, zip line. cooler weather and beautiful views. (This is my favorite, so I am completely biased. You will find something to love at all of the resorts. Utah offers truly unique light snow, a lot of sunshine and close proximity to a city and airport. Not many places in the world can boast this)”
