  • This place is “wow”. Nicely decorated and very warm. You have a full kitchen with a shop about 10 minutes walk so no need to lug food around. You have private entrance, off road parking, WiFi, TV with sky, and the view when waking up is amazing! Very close to Snowdon so great for three peaks challenge. You need to stay for more then a day to appreciate the place.

    Abbas2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, beautifully decorated apartment located at the lower level of the host's home. The area round is spectacular and the little kitty is super friendly. There are plenty amenities- towels, coffee, sugar a well stocked kitchen with utensils. We had a wonderful stay here

  • Sue and Mark have a splice of paradise within the national park; it is lovely of them to share their space with others, and we cannot recommend it enough! Some of the quietest and darkest nights' sleep I have ever had, and a pleasure to wake up to the vista of wide open space and wildlife. A treat for any outdoorsy human-- I would certainly return :)

    Stevie2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. Everything you might want for a perfect, quiet, deep countryside relaxing stay. Sue and Mark are the perfect hosts and the beds and the breakfasts are absolutely 6 stars!!

  • Isabel's is a great stay for a family weekend get-away. It's central to Snowdonia's wide open spaces, adrenaline activities at Zip World, various places to eat within 20mins drive. If it hadn't beed for the great guide books we wouldn't have ended up at Portmerion on a glorious Autumn weekend. The cottage is comfortable, warm and cosy. Isabel is helpful and patient at communicating to get the stay off to an easy start.

Situated in the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia Nation Park, the log cabin was cosy, warm and beautifully presented with the fireplace turned on especially for our arrival time. Carol was an outstanding host, answering questions about the area before the stay and giving us thoughtful touches (as we were visiting for a birthday) and a care package upon arrival. We are already planning our return!

  • This is a lovely cabin situated in an outstanding area of natural beauty. Carol was an excellent host, fabulous communication and incredibly thoughtful. The cabin is very cosy with a lovely fire. Lovely, cosy little Log Cabin in the centre of Snowdonia. Perfect for 2, can sleep 3… (plus room for a travel cot if needed) with a fully equipped kitchen/ dining/ living area & shower room. Ideal for active getaways, romantic breaks or a family holiday the cabin is close to forests & mountains & just 20 mins drive to the seaside. 2 night min booking. At Xmas/ New Year this extends to 3 nights. Please see Calendar.
Please Note - We don't provide any linens, including bed sheets, pillows, duvets and towels. Guests will need to take their own. Our self catering cabin was fully refurbished in 2016 and has a fully equipped kitchen & living area with TV & Freesat, 2 bedrooms - 1 double & 1 single (note this is a fold out chair bed - not regular bed) and a shower room. We are very fond of our little cabin and have aimed to create somewhere that is well equipped, welcoming and, as many of our guests say, a Home from Home. We certainly love spending time there as an escape from everyday life and we hope you’ll love it as much as we do! The kitchen should be fully equipped with all you need to make a 3 course dinner or just a nice bacon sarnie in the morning. We try to keep the cupboards stocked with a few basics – coffee, tea, Tomato Ketchup, Salt & Pepper etc – just in case! There is a small shop on site if you need any basic supplies too. At the start of 2017 the cabin had a new, fully insulated external cladding added to it which should be keeping everyone warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer. However, please remember that cabin is a simple wood construction so it most likely won't be as warm in Winter as your home is so we do ask people to pack some warmer clothes (& definitely some Slippers!) and maybe use it as an excuse to get cosy under a blanket with someone! *Please note that following the extreme storm of Feb 2018 ('The Beast from the East') we would not recommend that anyone stays at the cabin in such extreme low temperatures. In the event of such a storm happening again we would suggest that guests contact us directly to reschedule their stay. Having stayed during the storm ourselves in temperatures of minus 15 we can confirm it is too cold for guests to stay under these conditions. Thank you. We have a large stock of DVDs and books in the cabin for cold or wet days that you might not want to go out - so stay in and curl up on our big sofas!
Located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, halfway between Barmouth & Porthmadog off the A470, the cabin is close to many tourist attractions: Mount Snowdon is just over 20 miles away, Coed Y Brenin is only 3 miles down the road and Portmeirion is a 20 minute drive away. It’s perfect territory for Walkers, Mountain Bikers and Adventure Seekers (Zip World & Go Below are great for Adreneline junkies!) or if you just want to relax and get away from it all there are many beaches, steam trains, castles and country pubs all within easy reach. The scenery in Snowdonia is absolutely stunning and very varied (check out our Instagram to get a feel for this - @love.snowdonia) with very little effort you can be in the middle of nowhere with nothing to bother you but the occasional sheep! If you love the outdoors this is definitely the area for you!
  • Lovely little cabin in a great location. Equipped with everything you could possibly need during the stay, hosts provide a packing list of things to bring with you! Complete privacy with great access routes to local towns and days out. Will be returning for a second stay!

  • Lovely cozy cabin to stay away from the busy city. Easy to describe as your home away from home. We made all our meals with what’s provided in their kitchen. It was cold during the first few hours, but additional heaters were provided. We will definitely book this place again if going back to Wales.

  • Absolutely brilliant. Booked very late! Was a rush weekend away with the misses and we had a wonderful time. Place was easy to find and let our selves in. The cabin is very nicely sorted with everything you need and it plenty warm enough. Great little book inside with lots of local attractions. Coming from a City, this was a nice relaxing get away!

  • The cabin is a perfect place to stay at in Snowdonia. Communication with the host was quick and clear, Andy has answered all my questions promptly and sent additional information by email with all details we needed for our stay. The cabin is well equipped, has a good size bathroom and spacious main room with the kitchen. We had to take our own bed linen and towels, but Andy has informed us about this in advance, so it was absolutely fine. I definitely recommend this place if you are planning to visit North Wales!

  • A beautiful location, with incredible views that stretch on for miles and miles. Despite being in a holiday village you feel right in the middle of nature, I think the local birds and other wildlife help with that. The log cabin has everything you need and the owners have kindly supplied a pretty varied selection of dvds in case you want to spend some time relaxing inside. For my partner and I, this log cabin facilitated the perfect getaway and I would thoroughly recommend this place.

  • Perfect cosy cabin in the heart of Snowdonia, just what we were looking for! Short driving distance to small villages with nice pubs. Close by to various places of interest. We visited Portmeirion, walking trails, and Mount Snowdon during our 2 night stay. The cabin is equipped with pretty much everything you need and more! Communication with the hosts was great beforehand. We loved our stay!

Our log cabin in Wales, set in the picturesque heart of Snowdonia’s National Park, is perfect for your self catering family holiday. The Norwegian pine log cabin has PVC windows, is well insulated, and it offers to you a warm, welcome change from the usual holiday cottage, bed and breakfast, caravan or camping trip.
Heated throughout the year and offering full self catering facilities, our Snowdonia log cabin gives you the freedom of a camping style holiday combined with cottage and bed and breakfast comforts.
The holiday village is adjacent to the north/south running A470 road. The log cabins are situated far enough back from the road to avoid noise pollution. There is a bus stop at the far end of the holiday village access road which offers opportunities for those who like to travel on foot. The closest airport is Liverpool John Lennon, and there is a connecting train service to the seaside town of Barmouth, followed by a 20 minute connecting bus service to our log cabin holiday village. Visitors from Ireland can drive from Holyhead ferry terminal to Bronaber in approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours, and 2 hours by bus.

  • Me and my family stayed at this cabin for school break and we absolutely loved it. Located in the quiet lodge park with everything you need for a peaceful break. The house was clean and so cozy. We were very lucky with the weather, it was sunny all three days in a row, and kids played in the huge playground one minute walk from our cabin. Really enjoyed spending evenings on the sofa and watch TV or read books with the glass of wine. We would definitely recommend it to others. The scenery of the mountains nearby is stunning! Could not get my eyes off them while driving through them. Also, there is a nearby town (Dolgellau) which has Huge Co-Op supermarket, nice restaurants and bars. It’s only 17 minutes drive from the lodge park. I will definitely come back there again one day!

A cosy terraced cottage in the quiet Welsh village of Trawsfynydd, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. There is a lawned garden to the rear, whilst the open-plan ground floor features a warming multi-fuel burner to relax by. We are not far from Zipworld where you can enjoy the longest zipwires in Europe, wander in the treetops or trampoline in underground caverns.
The views around the village are breathtaking and can be enjoyed even more along the various walks signposted in the area. Beach is only 9 miles away in the shadow of Harlech Castle and the unique village of Portmeirion is only 7 miles.
the village is reasonably quiet, and the people are friendly and helpful.

  • Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Snowdonia. There was plenty of coal to keep the fire going! Easy driving distance for all of Snowdonia. There are no pubs in the village (some about 15 mins by car) but there is a local shop which is fairly well stocked! One thing was that we were only given one towel - apparently standard practice for the cottage.

    Sophie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, perfectly placed to explore the area. We had a very cosy stay, making the most of the fire in the evenings - it is great that fuel is included.

    Kerryn2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage. Was in a good location for us as a base to travel around Snowdonia’s National park. The cottage itself is small and quaint and very suitable for couples.

    Mark2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, cosy cottage in a great location close to Portmeirion village, Portmadog and tonnes of spectacular scenery all around. We had awful weather during the days were were staying, but that just added to the atmosphere as the owners had provided free fuel for the stove, which we lit every evening and we enjoyed such a cosy time - modern day parlance would call it HYGGE! We met the owners on arrival and they showed us around the property. There was milk and a treat on arrival which was a nice touch. Downstairs is a sitting room and kitchen -fully equipped with everything including a cafetiere (essential fir us) and clingfilm. Upstairs is our bedroom (double bed) and bathroom with electric shower including some liquid soap and some shower gel that was available to use if we had forgotten ours. We were able to park right outside the front door. Out the back there is a yard that we could have relaxed in (had it not been raining most of the time during our stay). It is a great location from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park (did the train to the top [in fog!]) and we went first class on the Portmadog to Ffestiniog railway - both train journeys totally well worth doing (and we are NOT rail enthusiasts) as the scenery you visit is amazing.

Beautiful log cabin in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Perfect for walking, climbing, cycling and close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers and families. Porthmadog, Harlech and Barmouth all close by with beautiful beaches, castles and vibrant towns. Cabin is very homely with a well equipped kitchen and great outdoor space. Lots to do if you want to get out and about but if you want to get cosy there are lots of books, DVDs and Board Games for all ages
Guests can use the whole cabin, the verandah and garden area.
If you like walking there are so many walks to be done in the area and a comprehensive set of walking guides for you to use in the cabin. Please return once you have used them. A great starter walk would be The Precipice Walk at Dolgellau. Superb views. For cycling Coed Y Brenin is about 2 miles down the road and has multiple routes and cycle hire. Great for both the younger family members and for the more daredevil amongst the party Beaches are superb on Cardigan Bay and I would recommend Black Rock Sands at Porthmadog..... great drive on beach with lovely walking and views. Borth Y Gest is a beautiful cove with a lovely coastal walk from the harbour. Barmouth is great with kids as it is easy access from the car park and has all the expected facilities for a family day out. Harlech is utterly gorgeous with excellent sand dunes for hide and seek! My personal favourite is Llandanwg (south of Harlech) which has very clean and well looked after toilets and a lovely beach shack cafe run by lovely people. It's good for body boarding (boards are kept in storage under the cabin- feel free to use) If you are into surfing then it is certainly worth a trip to Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula - fabulous! Nearest supermarkets are at: Dolgellau - Eurostar Barmouth- Co-op Porthmadog - Tesco, Aldi, Lidl
  • Great place to stay and explore, found a lovely pub for food on the road towards portmadog , the bryn arms

  • What an incredible weekend away and we're delighted that we chose this cabin... It's clean, quirky, had games and DVD's, and all the amenities we needed.
