Stunning loft style house 5 mins from the square
Sa Fabrica is a stunning house with a definite wow factor, it was once upon a time a textile factory, one of the largest in Soller. The garden and terraces offer ample space to enjoy or hide from the sun and the enormous bbq and seating space is ideal for scrumptious gatherings. The exceptionally tall ceilings make the house cool in the summer. The main living area is open plan, making it ideal for socialising, yet it is large enough to be able to find a quite spot to snooze or play in.

Your guide to Sóller

All About Sóller

Sóller is a picturesque town on the Balearic island of Mallorca, set in the Mediterranean Sea, which sparked into life thanks to its abundance of citrus groves. Located in the Orange Valley just 10 minutes from the sea, Sóller’s rich cultural and culinary history dates back more than 2,000 years, when the Romans arrived with grapevines and olive trees. During the French Revolution, French artisans, farmers, and winemakers moved to Sóller, adding to the mix. In the early 20th century, the Spanish brought Modernisme to the village, resulting in the unique blend of ornate Caribbean-type buildings along the main street and the Modernista-style Banco de Sóller.

In Sóller, you’ll find many restaurants and tapas bars serving Mediterranean dishes and Mallorcan specialities such as tumbet — an aubergine and pepper casserole made with local produce — that pair well with Mallorcan wines. The surrounding hillsides offer hiking and mountain biking opportunities, including the popular Dry Stone Route, one of the island’s best long-distance trails.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Sóller

Mallorca has a relatively mild climate most of the year, making it pleasantly convenient to secure a holiday villa in Sóller. The summer months have beautiful weather, with long sunny days that are great for exploring the nearby hiking and biking trails. Towards the end of the summer, the oranges in the valley give the entire area a soft orange hue, something you may want to consider when booking your Sóller rental. During the shoulder seasons of autumn and spring, it is generally quieter, while still warm enough to enjoy the scenery and array of outdoor activities. As the temperature drops in the winter, the crowds thin out. By February, the region’s almond trees begin to flower with vibrant red and white buds.

Top things to do in Sóller

Sóller Train

The Sóller Train is a narrow-gauge electric train connecting Sóller with Palma. Designed to create a faster route through the orange and olive groves between the cities, the railroad features 13 tunnels and a viaduct and offers gorgeous views of Mallorca’s mountains.

Dry Stone Route

Stretching more than 150 kilometres, the Dry Stone Route is an iconic long-distance hiking trail that takes trekkers up and over the rocky summits of the Tramuntana Mountains, through orange and olive groves, and past scenic Mallorcan towns.

Pueblo de Fornalutx

Just a 12-minute drive from Sóller, this tiny mountain town seems to be hidden away from both the big crowds and the passage of time. Brick and stone houses, cosy cafes, and a handful of shops line the narrow cobblestone streets and surround the town square. Rolling green hills provide a picturesque backdrop, and as you climb the village’s steep streets and staircases, you get a fantastic view of the surrounding hillsides.
