Spacious private guest house with full kitchen is surrounded by gardens and incredible view on a small county lane 5 minutes from town. During the shelter in place order the cottage is available for medical professionals or work supporting essential businesses or services, as housing needing to ensure adequate social distancing such as to live separately from at-risk family members or roommates, to self-quarantine. Cleaned according to strict CDC guidelines.
High vaulted ceilings and the expansive views create a wonderful feeling of openness. At 725 square feet, the cottage is larger than the other guest houses available in this area. It's decorated and supplied with lots of thoughtful touches of style and luxury to enhance your visit. There is a queen size bed with a super comfortable mattress that many of my guests comment positively about plus a couch that folds into a very comfy full size mattress, comfortably fitting 1 and possibly 2 adults or 2 children. There is a dinning table, sink and counters, new high quality stainless steel fridge and gas range, microwave oven, toaster oven, and everything you need to enjoy food from local grocery stores and restaurants. You'll also find a desk, with super comfy desk chair and desk lamp. It's a nice spot to work since you can see the lovely view of the gardens and mountains out the front windows from the desk. There is a new 50 inch Smart 4K flat screen TV with many free channels, plus you can login to your Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Showtime, CBS All Access or any other streaming TV site account. When you arrive you will find fresh cut flowers, organic orange juice and some of my fresh baked banana bread waiting for you.
Location Near Town The cottage is just 5 minutes to the town of Sebastopol that has many great restaurants and shops.  It includes the Barlow Food, Art & Wine district that has places to eat, wine tasting shops and taprooms.  We are 25 minutes to the coast and the town of Bodega Bay and many different beaches and state parks along the coast.  We are 40 minutes from the popular Russian River resort area with river beaches, towns and state parks like the Armstrong Redwood State Park. It's about 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, the city center of Sonoma County wine country.  We are 35 minutes from the wine country town of Healdsburg with some of the best restaurants in Sonoma County and many wine tasting shops and stores around its town square park and downtown district.  It's 30 minutes to the beautiful Valley of the Moon area near the town of Kenwood with lots of top wineries.  About 10 minutes farther is the Sonoma Valley area with wineries and the lovely town of Sonoma with its historic town plaza featuring many tasting rooms, shops and restaurants.  Napa Valley including the town of Napa is a 45 minute drive. It's a 40 minute drive to Point Reyes National Monument one of my favorite places to hike and explore the beaches. The immediate neighborhood is very peaceful and semi-rural. It is a favorite with residents for walking and biking. There is a sheep ranch down the street with charming long-horn sheep and other properties in my area have everything from goats, pigs, horses and even a couple donkeys (my favorite). There are some properties with vineyards as well which reminds you that you are in the wine country.
  • Awesome place and awesome host. Supper close to everything we wanted to do.

  • One of our favorite Airbnb’s to date! If we ever come back to the area, we will be staying again. Highly recommend. Steve was a great host!

  • Came for a trip to wine country with a friend - great hot tub, beautiful views, kitchen perfect for breakfast & coffee in the morning to get the day started! Bed was very comfortable and Steve was great with answering questions and gave us great local tips for wineries and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend!

  • This was such a lovely space for a quick solo trip. It was cozy and relaxing and not too far from the downtown area! I’d love to stay here again especially when you have a host willing to leave such great tips!

  • Steve is an amazing host - with detailed steps for checking in, places to visit and timely responses. This Airbnb was absolutely gorgeous and located in the quaint town of Sebastopol. It is a perfect midpoint between Napa and Bodega Bay! ps - the homemade banana bread was a wonderful touch to the Airbnb experience.

A rustic, cozy cottage nestled in the majestic redwoods of Sonoma county makes the perfect weekend getaway or month retreat. Relax in 2 acres of landscaped garden or drive to convenient restaurants, the ocean, or San Francisco.
This is perfect for the person/persons who love nature. It is a cozy converted chicken coop with an added deck and outdoor shower. The fridge, microwave and hot plate make it easy to stay in although the adorable town of Occidental with its delicious restaurants are fun.
This is a no through road so it is very quiet. And even though the houses are far apart, the neighbors are close and watch out for each other. There is a beautiful walking path available to the neighborhood.
  • We had a great time at this beautiful bnb! Pictures dont do it justice. We felt like we had an entire redwood forest to ourselves. Josephine was a wonderful host too! Highly recommended

    Wes2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • There was a fat cat named Carl. He is the bestest boy. We let him in the cabin with us at night and he cuddled and purred with happiness. Best cabin greeter there ever was. Ziggy (the hosts dog) was also a great greeter at the fence gate when we arrived.

    Siarra2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the relaxing and quiet atmosphere at Jo's cabin. The hot tub was a nice touch that we definitely took advantage of. If you are looking for a get away from the busy every day life in the city this is the place to go!

    Kelsey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stepping onto Josephines property you can immediately feel how special it is. She greeted us with warmth and gave us a tour and history of the property. She has everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. The sauna and hot tub are such a sweet treat, especially in the morning as the sun comes up. The property is large with plenty of well kept trails and places to relax, so be sure to explore. The property is also close to great beaches, highly recommend. Another added bonus is that you are allowed to bring your dog! Our dog loved her property even more than us - she woke up early explored every inch possible & loved Josephine’s pup, Ziggy. Very thankful that Josephine has opened up her space to guests. If you are looking for a relaxing time in the woods, this is it.

    Ryan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet, cozy place is a gem. Tucked away into the most peaceful property. Josephine is a remarkable host. If you have the chance to stay here, take it!

    Jeremy2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was definitely beautiful. She has so much land to explore and discover. Everything was very clean for mostly being outside, and inside was very homey and warm. The compost toilet was easy to use. The sauna was definitely awesome to use. The hot tub was nice, even being attached to Josephine’s deck instead of the one you’re staying at, but was definitely a treat to be in. Peaceful and very relaxing!

    Sophia2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as described. Nestled in the middle of the tall redwood, you truly could unwind. I'd label this has glamping with more glamour than camping. The sauna/shower/hottub combination was better than any hotel could offer. The location was remote and quiet surrounded by beautiful views, there was a fireplace to keep you warm and it was accompanied by a compost toilet (true camping style ). We weren't too familiar with using the fireplace or the compost toilet but josephine stopped by and gave us all the information we needed! Check in check out was smooth. Highly recommend!

    Ruchira2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had SUCH a wonderful time here. We stayed for 2 nights, mid-Jan. There's an electric heater and wood-burning stove in the room, so we were nice n toasty. Shower, stove, microwave, toilet, dining table are all in a covered deck just outside the room, so plan accordingly -- it's definitely a glamping experience (with a TV and nice selection of DVDs). Everything was super clean. We hiked during the day, soaked in the hot tub after, and then explored the food/bar scene in Occidental at night (cabin is 10 min drive from the downtown). Will help to know that cell service is extremely spotty out there, so print directions to the place before you set out. We hope to come back in the summer!

Charming cabin right on the Creek: Have a dog? Please let us know! 2-bedrooms plus a loft (you have to climb a ladder to the loft), wood burning stove & windows everywhere! Well-equipped kitchen, TV, and trees all around. Huge deck overlooking the Creek: sit, sip, listen, relax - large table for alfresco dining. Nightly rates $95 to $300 depending on the dates. 12% Sonoma County Occupancy Tax will be added by AirBnB and remitted to the County.
Creekside pricing is for four guests. Each additional guest, up to seven total, is $25 per person each day. DOGS: We gladly consider accepting well-behaved dogs at Creekside. We ask for an additional cleaning fee of $50 per stay when dogs visit. Here are the house rules for dogs: no matter how tidy, dogs make for more work for our housekeeper so we pay her more when there's a dog staying with us. NOTE: there is a $75 ADDITIONAL pet cleaning fee if any of the following dog rules are not fully followed: 1. ***DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR ON/IN THE BEDS*** This is the biggest challenge we have and we don't have any exceptions to this rule. 2. if your dog barks when left alone, then do not leave the dog alone at the cabin. we have neighbors who can hear the barking and they sure let us know when they hear barking. 3. if your dog is totally chill when being left alone and does NOT bark, you must still always leave in his/her crate if you go out. 4. there are doggie gates on the deck so that you can secure the two deck staircases; then your dog may walk freely on the deck. 5. always pick-up after your dog and throw away the poop bags directly into the trash bin outside. even if the dog poops out-of-the-way, it must be picked up. 6. at the end of your stay, please thoroughly sweep the entire cabin with the broom & dustpan kept in the laundry room. please then dispose of all the fur/hair, etc. in the trash bin outside. thank you for helping to make it possible for us to continue hosting dogs up at Creekside. please remember, and so that there are no misunderstandings or surprises, if our housekeeper finds that all the fur is not swept up or if there is any fur on the beds or furniture, we will apply the ADDITIONAL $75 pet cleaning fee. I hate to be so blunt, but we have been having some real challenges with some guests ignoring the dog house rules. thank you for your understanding. Creekside has a wonderful open floor plan with the living room, dining area, and kitchen in a large L-shape; 832 sq. ft. total. There are doors and windows EVERYWHERE. You can head out to the deck from either the kitchen or the dining room. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full size bed, plus a loft above the living room that has a full size bed (you can see the ladder to the loft in the pictures; (PLEASE NOTE THAT IT ISN'T EASY FOR EVERYONE TO CLIMB THE LADDER TO THE LOFT). WE ARE ON A DELICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM. PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THE SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE INFO BOOK ON THE DESK IN THE LIVING ROOM. Dutch Bill Creek is a stone's throw away from the deck; you can hear the creek running from the bedrooms. The creek is seasonal, and, depending on the rainfall, goes dry from around June to October. There is a 40" HD television and we have cable-tv which includes ON-Demand programming as well as streaming Netflix, Spotify, and more. Wherever possible, we use high-efficiency florescent lights. These lights sometimes take a moment to illuminate. We do have back-up light bulbs on the top shelf of the closet in the small bedroom.
We are right on Dutch Bill Creek, a tributary of the famed Russian River. World Class Russian River Valley Wineries are within a short drive on Monte Rio, as are the towns of Occidental and Jenner, and the Pacific Coast. Monte Rio itself is a very quiet town four miles past Guerneville. There are a handful of shops and restaurants in Monte Rio, proper; including a movie theater in a barn - yes, a barn. Guerneville, just five minutes away, has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, markets (including a 24-hour Safeway), banks, gas stations, and more. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is right there as well. At certain times, such a holidays, long weekends, or Russian River event weeks, there may be a longer minimum stay. We will certainly tell you the options available upon receiving your request.
  • Peter was a fabulous host! The cabin is located in the middle of the woods with lots of beautiful trees on the property. Beds were very comfortable - our family occupied all three. We especially appreciated the excellent kitchen set up, well stocked with basic seasoning/condiments and fully equipped with small appliances, pots and pans, and baking dishes- it was more than adequate for preparing full meals for a family. The place feels secluded -a major plus if you are looking for a retreat- but the location also couldn’t be beat for its proximity to local gems - there are endless possibilities for both quick outings and day trips. The coast is less than 30 minutes away. Well groomed hiking trails are even closer, and there are lots of great local eateries where you can take a break. All in all a wonderful, cozy place to spend a week or two!

    Julie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking for seclusion and quiet and this place was wonderful! There is a neighbor right next door but I didn’t hear them once. The cabin is cozy and well-appointed. I like to cook for myself and the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, a blender, a full-size fridge and gas range so I was very happy cooking here! Peter was caring and attentive and responded quickly to my questions. The sound of the creek right outside is pure heaven and the big glass window allow the light to pour in in the morning. I wanted to have a place to have personal work retreat surrounded my nature and the wifi worked great. I also was able to do some drawing on the deck. I took a walk up the road in the morning and it was so quiet in 45 minutes only one car passed me. The place feels clean and open and unfussy and at the same time cozy and comfortable in the chilly nights with wall heater, bedroom baseboard, the wood stove and all. Although the comforter is so warm and cozy no heat is needed in the chili nights. ( if you’re coming from another part of the country, please know that even if it’s a really hot day nighttime can be quite cool.) I appreciated the homey touches like a soft throw blanket on the couch and cloth napkins and placemats for the dining table. I hope to come back soon! Oh, yes and it was CLEAN - that’s a big deal to me!

  • Beautiful, peaceful, well appointed, and the perfect location.

    Sean2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, lovely spot that had everything we needed! Nestled within the redwoods but still bright with lots of windows. Loved seeing and hearing the rushing creek literally steps from the back door. Peter was immediately available when we needed help getting around a road closure on our way up. Would love to come back!

    Sue2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cozy, and also plenty spacious for four adults. Great location to get to hiking trails and vineyards. We will definitely return.

    Mark2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is incredibly clean and comfortable. It is simply decorated but has everything you might need. There are enormous windows in the main spaces of the house which let you enjoy the beauty of the trees and creek even when you're inside. The cabin is also really conveniently located -- just minutes from Guerneville, the coast, and incredible state parks.

    Annie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, small, and cozy place. The backyard is great with nice view. It’s also very dog friendly.

Beautiful and large cabin on 50+ acres at the top of the mountain range that separates Sonoma & Napa valleys. Enjoy a loft bedroom, full bathroom, hiking trails, and an amazing deck (over 1000 sq feet) with mountain top views!
The cabin is a full size cabin with loft bedroom and private bathroom that offers a perfect getaway for two or even more. The cabin offers amazing views from the deck of Sonoma Valley and has amazing sunset views. Enjoy a glass of wine while walking through the orchard, picking fruit, or enjoying vegetables from one of our gardens. The cabin is well lit up with double sliding glass doors and a custom piece of redwood which provides a beautiful bar for drinks or a bite to eat. Enjoy the over sized deck which wraps around the cabin and offers beautiful views of Sonoma Valley & the sunset. The back deck is over-sized and just off the back deck there are 20+ fruit trees full of pears, nectarines, plums, and apples. Guests are welcome to take home as much fruit as they can when it is blossoming during the summer.
The neighborhood is very unique in that we don't have neighbors. The cabin is located at the top of a road full of curves (over 5 miles up Cavedale) and amazing views of the bay area. Be sure to drive safe and enjoy some of the beautiful views on your way to Rancho Relaxo.
  • Beautiful setting, charming cabin, incredibly peaceful, and a great value! I’d re-book for sure.

    Cory2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Minimalist interior and a perfect setting to relax and rest. You can enjoy the woods and also enjoy the coziness of a modern cabin life. The view is amazing.

  • Great stay! Highly recommend. Beautiful, cozy property with incredible views. Details regarding arrival were spot on. Sparkling clean. (The road is not bad at all!)

    Lisa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice private space on top of a mountain. Very peaceful and relaxing to come home too after a day of wine tasting.

    Albert2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great space tucked away. Relaxing with a great view. There are hiking trails and the cabin is super cute and cozy. The location is great if you want to see the area during the day and head home. I wouldn't reccommend driving there at night. The road in was difficult to manuever, but once you're there it's great! It was a fantastic stay to unplug read and relax. It also has all that you need to cook and a keurig. No freezer space though, just fyi. There is wifi too so you can play music to watch on your own device. Overall it's a bit of a drive from town/wineries but a relaxing nice place to stay!

  • We had a great stay here. It’s perfect for two couples to get away and unplug for a few days.

    Audrey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location but does not have direct river access , located on shady side of the mountain and is nestled in beautiful redwoods. Hot tub a plus! It was chilly at night but space heaters helped. Walking distance to convenience store.

    Calvin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night at the accommodation. The communication was great with lots of helpful info. The hot tub is amazing and a great way to relax our doors. This was a great find and we enjoyed our short stay. We were two couples and the layout worked really well. The only thing I would say is being big guys the beds are smaller than we are used to.

    Lee And Jo2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what we had hoped for. Something that is great to note, this place is like two perfect little one bedroom apartments. The setup is almost identical upstairs and downstairs with two high end bathrooms with super awesome showers and beds and fridges on separate floors for nice privacy, so for two couples it would be amazing. We just used the upstairs portion to conserve water and heat. The view was perfect, it had everything we needed to decompress, and we are already planning our next trip back. 5 stars across the board!!!

  • This is a perfect place to stay - just book it!

    Kirk2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic cabin in the woods. You can't really beat a place like this. We loved the knotty pine on the interior and rough-hewn on the exterior. Situated on a steep hill among giant redwoods overlooking a bridge and the river. Comfortable beds. Remodeled bathroom, kitchen, everything. Incredible hot-tub made of wood. I enjoyed waking up to the sight of fog blanketing the Russian River. Good price, too. JUST BOOK IT ALREADY.

    Brad2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming little spot for a wine-country (or in our case oyster-country) getaway. Cute, quiet treehouse w/ a wine barrel hot tub and owner who’s totally available and accommodating. Sign me up again ASAP!

We have ample elec. outlets, condiments, bottled water, hot beverage options, maps/guidebooks and more. We welcome friendly people of all backgrounds.
Our place is not a luxury property as some others are, rather, it's a relaxing "old time" camp feeling. Our family has cherished this property since before the turn of the century. The cabin is located in our backyard, 30 feet from our house, separated by a courtyard which is shared. You may see us in the backyard, gardening, dining, etc, but in our space or the shared area. ....You'll have a keyless code, tons of elec. outlets, Wi-fi, Roku for Netflix etc, Bose bluetooth/wired player for music. ....Phone service: ATT cell service works (other providers will have a weaker signal here) but we are out in the (Wine) country so make sure to check in our wi-fi for your texting, etc. ....Kitchen: It's a small but complete with: range, full size fridge, microwave, pots and pans, bake ware, blender, popcorn popper, knives, peelers, spices, condiments, napkins, paper towels, even "to go" coffee cups and bottled water. Lots of silverware and plates/bowls/glasses. Gas grill on deck is ready for your exclusive use. ....Spa: It's clean and hot and has instructions attached. ....Beds: a queen mattress, high count cotton sheets. 2nd bed is a (click-clack type) double futon sleeper sofa in the same room that can accommodate 2 more small or medium sized adults or children. If you have booked 3 or more people, I will have the sleeper sofa made up for sleeping when you arrive. If you have just 2 people and need both beds made up, please tell me in advance, otherwise I will assume you are sharing the bed and would like to retain the use of the couch as a couch. ....Heat and cooling: Gas free standing fireplace and a ceiling fan warm and cool you in our wine country climate. ....Bathroom: The outdoor (only) shower is 100% private, closed in, and accessed through the bathroom (not the yard). Its warm while you are showering. The original "bathroom" sink is located in the bedroom, as was common a hundred years ago. Luggage rack/freestanding closet with hangers is provided. ....Dining: Eat outside at the patio table on your deck or there is a small table inside the unit for dining inside. ....Outdoor Seating: There is the old fashioned padded swing seat adjacent to the spa, the outdoor dining table and chairs, and you may sit at our covered outdoor couch area if you feel like socializing as this is a shared area. ....Going hiking? We've got the maps and books to guide you! Free parking and tons of hiking at all state parks in the area with our parking pass plus borrow our backpack style picnic "basket". We've pre-loaded it with plates, napkins, small knife, cutting board, etc, everything you need to make a picnic out of yummy local food finds. We'd love to give you tips about where to go and trail maps/book are in the cabin. ....Night time: Our yard is well lit for night time enjoyment. Ping-pong table in shared portion of the back yard. Main overhead outdoor light switch is to the left of the cabin door cabin door. ....Summer only: Morton's Warm Springs is a pool and picnic grounds next door to us. You may hear a few swimmers and their picnicking during the day. Visit Mortons to cool off or just stroll the grounds along the creek, all with our included cabin pass at no charge. Hours: May and Sept: open weekends and holidays, June, July, August open Tuesday thru Sunday. 10 am to 6 pm.
We are located in the beautiful rural premium wine growing area of Sonoma Valley and are close to 4 state parks that are great for hikes and walks and we have a free parking pass for you: Jack London, Sugarloaf, Annadel and Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Preserve. We live in a wooded area near a creek on a country road that is popular for cycling and walks. Beautiful woods and wildlife are abundant. Deer, turkeys, hawks, squirrel, and more might be seen daily. In your room you will find a short list of great restaurants and wineries and breweries nearby. We have lived here for 30 years and are happy to give more suggestions too!
  • Beautiful, clean cabin overlooking the woods with great amenities. Diana makes the experience very personalized and has all the great local tips. Highly recommend!

  • This place is magical! From the minute you enter the space, you can definitely feel how much work went into making the whole place unique and cozy. The cabin is well-stocked, the amenities are perfect, and the hosts go out of their way to make sure your stay is special. Would love to stay here again.

    Alexander2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Diana and Charles's cabin went above and beyond our expectations. The hosts were incredibly friendly and easy to reach, and the space was adorable! Lots of little touches made the stay extra special. We definitely plan to come back!

    Bailey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! Such a peaceful airbnb and the perfect distance to every winery/good food. Diana was an incredible host!! So friendly and helpful. Would love to come back! PS. the kitchen has everything you’d ever need and the outdoor shower is amazing.

    Christiana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I were seeking a few days of quiet outside of the City and Diana and Charles's spot exceeded those needs. Fresh air, a beautiful creekside setting and all the comforts we needed to recharge our batteries. The family takes pride in their property and strive to make their guests feel comfortable. The cabin and hot tub were clean and the outdoor shower a nice tough to revive after a soak. We were new to exploring the area and appreciated the use of the park pass to visit Jack London park as well as Diana's guide to local shops and restaurants. We'd certainly recommend for anyone else looking for a quiet, relaxing recharge just a short drive from San Francisco.

  • This cabin provided us with the perfect little getaway. Not only was the cabin sparkling clean, but it was well stocked with everything a traveler could want. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into creating the best visitor experience. The cabin, the hot tub, the yard... we loved it all. We will be back!

Escape the summer heat at our cabin close to the coast. Winter time is perfect too, with the picture windows and wood stove, snuggle by the fire after a day of hiking in Armstrong Woods. Yes, we are 15 minutes from Guerneville, 10 minutes from the ocean. We are located in a quiet neighborhood just off River Road. About the place. It's small and has no separate rooms. Therefore we ask you keep your party size to two or three. Be prepared to build a fire. Wood stove is the primary heat source. We look forward to meeting you! Katrina & Larry
It's a quiet dead end road. There are houses close by but people keep to themselves.
  • What an awesome place to spend a week. The house itself is perfect and the location is ideal as both a getaway and a central location for exploring. We spent half our time driving up and down the coast (I would recommend the Crab Roll at Cafe Aquatica in Jenner for lunch and hiking the Kortum Trail at Goat Rock Park along the coast). The other half of our trip was in Napa visiting the wineries, which was just over an hour away. Armstrong National Park is nearby if you want to hike in the redwoods and Duncan Mills is just a few minutes away with a couple nice places to eat and a good bakery/coffee shop. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect vacation spot.

  • Quiet, clean, and stylish location. Lots of natural light and so nice to see the forest out the window. Visited Armstrong national forest and Sonoma coast state park, both 15 minutes away. No complaints, stay was perfect!

Antique Indonesian teakwood cottage, private deck, hot tub and very special, large artistic bathroom/sitting room. Beautifully rural, yet just 6 minutes from historic downtown Petaluma and fine restaurants and shops. A short trip to the Pacific coast and the fabulous Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Tomales and Bodega Bays and towns, excellent vineyards and breweries, and San Francisco!
The antique Indonesian cottage is made of beautifully carved and colored teak wood, and is quiet, cozy and romantic with lovely views. It abuts a large private deck and hot tub. Just a few steps across the deck is the very large, luxurious, art filled, centrally heated private bathroom and sitting area. The cottage itself is unheated although there is a premium electric mattress pad with separate controls on the king bed.
Completely rural on most beautiful road famous around the world for bicycle trips towards the Pacific coast . Vineyards and ranches for neighbors. 6 beautiful Arabian horses in pasture next door. 6 minutes to historic downtown Petaluma and its great restaurants and shops, and centrally located for short drives to excellent vineyards and breweries, the Pacific coast and the spectacular Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales and Bodega Bays and towns, and San Francisco!
  • The teak wood cabin was a magical little place to stay! We enjoyed crawling under the exquisite linen covers with the heated mattress pad during the chilly night. We also really enjoyed the extra side room / bathroom as it was filled with artistic wonder throughout!

  • This place is great. The property and surrounding area is extremely beautiful. The hot tub is excellent. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Although the accommodations and hot tub are private, they are adjacent to the main house, so it is not secluded. Overall, it was a unique and pleasant stay.

  • Michelle and Bill’s place was a great experience. Very simple and easy check in. So much unique art and touches in the space. The spa is perfectly located. Had a morning glass of champagne sitting the hot tub looking out at the cows doing their thing. It was great. And the location is great, very short drive into town. Would definitely stay again

  • The pictures are accurate but don't give you the amazingly curated feel of the property. It isn't fussy or kitchy or fancy. It is some divine combination of the three. It is absolutely charming, and the hosts made us feel both welcome and free to enjoy our space as we wanted. I recommend this place without reserve.

  • Peter has a charming and very comfortable place. Directions and home instructions were spot on, the home is spotless and cozy. The gas fire heats up the place very quickly even when on the lowest setting. We would definitely consider a return visit.

    Brian2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's house is clean, spacious and well-kept. All amenities were in great working order. Peter is very responsive, check-in process was smooth, we had a great relaxing time!

  • Stunning home with redwoods all around. Full kitchen with a gas stove and all the appliances and dishes - a real treat to get to cook well in an airbnb. A fireplace and a giant hot tub. Comfy beds we slept soundly. Even a laundry machine! We were stoked to be in such a cozy home so close to the coast.

    Jonas2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place is beautiful. We loved the location and how nice everything is inside. Very cozy at night when it was cold outside. Peter was also helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Highly recommend.

    El2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Peter’s place. The home was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large hot tub. Definitely very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Communication with the host was easy and great!

    Jean2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place is exactly as described - which is precisely what we all needed for a relaxation stay in a beautiful location, tucked away in the trees. Loved the the view while enjoying brunch on the deck, and the sight of the sky from the hot tub at night. Peter is very straight forward about husband expectations and what is provided as well.

    Keari2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time there, place has a good feel to it and a nice view of the Russian river. Clean and cozy and very accessible too.

    Johanna2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Peter's place. The kitchen served us well and we enjoyed time our time in the living room. The hot tub was also a real treat. As a note for others with a sensitive nose, just mentioning that the downstairs area (where bedrooms and full bathroom are located) had a musty sort of "basement smell" at the time of our visit.

Welcome to Velouria, our cabin in the redwoods of northern California. With a cosy loft bedroom in the main house, a romantic wood burning stove, a guest cabin located on the property and a new outdoor hot tub, surrounded by vaulted redwoods. It has everything to make your forrest retreat perfect. It's close to downtown Guerneville and many beautiful local attractions, nature trails and renown vineyards.
This special cabin has a very unique, treehouse feel to it. Sit with a good book on one of the sundecks or in the tree-hung hammock by day, then warm yourself in the cosy living-room with rustic log fire when it gets dark, then have a relaxing night time dip in the hot tub before trundling of to your bed.
Velouria is located in a secluded neighborhood of historic Guerneville in the wilds of West Sonoma. Located only 69 miles North of San Francisco, the A-frame cottage is situated at the end of a cul de sac atop a mountain ridge with beautiful views. Historic downtown Guerneville has recently been in the vacation spotlight as a intimate town that combines a rich experience of pioneer life with wine country luxury. Rent a canoe or kayak and sail the legendary Russian River. Visit renown wineries, sample the alternative local nightlife or go reclusive and wander amongst the lush Redwood forrest rife with wildlife such as wild turkeys, red wing hawks, deer families and colorful songbirds.
  • Shane & Craig’s cabin and grounds have a magical quality to them. The sun room was one of my favorite parts- plenty of natural light, peaceful silence, and lots of stars to gaze at from the hot tub. We’ll definitely be back!

    Michael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Truly magical. Relax in the lounge chairs under the immense tree canopy and enjoy the bluebirds, hawks, and stars. The house is literally surrounded by trees with huge windows and skylights to enjoy from all sides. There was plenty of firewood left behind to light a fire to warm the house. The bathroom is spa-like overlooking the garden. Definitely recommend and will be back.

    Jessica2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful! The area is absolutely peaceful and great to enjoy the outdoors. The garden is really special and absolutely beautiful! Shane + Craig were great hosts - very responsive. Would love to come back some day!

Welcome to The Cobb Haus! Find us on Instagram @thecobbhaus and online at www dot thecobbhaus dot com for more pictures and current updates! We are located in the quiet neighborhood of Whispering Pines in Cobb, CA. With lots of activities right outside the door, you'll have plenty to do but this is also the perfect retreat to stay in and relax!
The Cobb Haus is located at the end of a quiet dirt road of a rural neighborhood. (Please note: there are neighbors, however the cabin is situated in a way that it faces out into the forest making it feel private and secluded) It is nestled in the dogwood trees with a beautiful deck (and an outdoor shower!). It offers one large open common space as well as a bedroom and living room with amazing tree views - it feels like you're in a treehouse! The bedroom has a queen size bed with a memory foam topper as well as two twin size roll out beds (upon request) that can be put together to sleep like a double sized bed. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 people comfortably. Please make sure to specify if you need to use a roll out bed. Amenities include: - TV with Hulu, Amazon and Netflix - Wifi - Cooking utensils, spices, etc for basic cooking needs - Chemex pour over coffee maker - Electric milk frother - Coffee and tea - Spring water suitable for drinking straight from the tap - High quality linens, including Serena and Lily bedding - Outdoor shower - Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc - Hairdyer - Extra bedding, roll out beds, linens and blankets - Board games, cards and books - Record player with a selection of records - Bluetooth speaker - Phone chargers for iPhone and Android - Propane BBQ - Toys for kids of all ages, just let us know your child's age - Extra towels to take to the local pool - A list of things to do and places to see in the area will be provided ...and more! Healthy, home cooked meals specializing in vegan and vegetarian options are available upon request and can be delivered straight to your door. If interested, we can set this up for you at an additional cost.
The neighborhood is very rural with lots of dirt roads which can make driving here in the winter somewhat tricky. Occasionally it snows in the winter and may require a 4WD. Please plan accordingly. The cabin is at the end of a quiet dirt road, with only a few surrounding neighbors. Because our cabin is nestled in the mountains, it is important to remember that it can feel like quite a drive! So please make sure to map it out from your location so you are not surprised by this. It is also important to note that this is a rustic cabin on a dirt road and with that comes a little dust! ;)
  • Great hosts and clean, lovely cabin! If you're looking for a remote getaway with a partner or good handful of friends, solid spot. Definitely pack the cooler before heading up the mountain!

    Jose2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint, cozy & comfy with lots to do in the area. Loved the outdoor shower

    Jinhee2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a special little cabin! Communication was so quick and thorough and all the little thoughtful touches (flowers and a hand written welcome note!) made our stay so special. The space was very clean and designed so well. We can't wait to come back!

    Amanda2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wood! Wood! And more wood! This little gem is gorgeous and cozy. The style quotient is 10/10. I spent my time cooking, writing, tending to the amazing wood burning stove, and watching a little bit of Netflix. Sunlight dappled through trees. Bring warm clothes and some slippers, though when the fire is roaring the place gets very warm. Bluetooth speaker that looks like an oil lamp. Record player. Blankets and plants. Everything color-coordinated with a beautiful lack of clutter. So many stylish touches. And out the windows: nothing but TREES.

    Dan2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in the nice and quiet woods. Really enjoyed this place. A great place to get away and enjoy the quiet.

    Julie2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very quaint. It is located at the end of a dirt road and surrounded by trees. Don't hesitate to book this place if you want a nature getaway. There is no central heating so if it is cold, be prepared to use a wood burning stove, huddle around a space heater, or bring warm clothes.

    Gabriel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • When my friend and I were looking for a place to get away for our birthdays, we came across this amazing cabin. We booked it right away! Tom and Hope were so helpful with our questions and left an adorable touch of a handwritten note for our arrival. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and hope to use it again in the future.

  • What a beautiful place. It offers seclusion and was very peaceful. There are neighbors around, but it is very quiet. The house was fully stocked and even had nice variations of spices for me to cook with, which was probably left behind by other guests. The host was easy to get a hold of if I had questions. The first morning we had breakfast outside on the picnic table because the air was just so crisp. It was a fabulous and relaxing stay. I’d recommend this place to anyone. Also the directions were pretty easy to follow as far as check in and check out go. I’m so glad the house came with the essentials for the fireplace. It does get a little chilly at night. There is a space heater in the bedroom. I slept like a bear.

  • This was our second time at David’s cabin and we had a wonderful time. It is so peaceful and quiet, so cozy and well decorated. The bed is very comfortable and the place is very clean. We cooked every day and we had everything we needed, the cabin is our favorite place in Guernville since we spend our honeymoon there a few years ago. We will go back again!

This studio “tiny house” has one queen bed and a double convertible sofa. THe sofa is fine for children, but not very comfortable for an adult. Prefer 1-2 guests, but will consider 3 with discussion. Close to shopping, restaurants, theaters, parks, short drive to downtown. 30 minutes to the beach. 12% tourism and city taxes included in price, so you only pay the price you see!
This is a brand new 200 square foot "tiny house" and I am so excited about it! The queen bed is very comfortable and the sofa converts to a double bed. If 2 adults want to sleep separately in the house, please let me know. The conversion process is a little tricky - I will leave out the directions and also make the extra linens available. I would charge an extra $5 for use of the second bed - to help cover cost of laundry. This little house feels very light, airy, spacious, and also quiet and private. It sits across the yard from my house - it is near the chicken run and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the chickens do get up with the sun! I try to get out and give them their morning treat the minute I hear them. I hope you will enjoy their company as much as I do. PLEASE NOTE - THE PRICE QUOTED ON AIR BNB INCLUDES THE 12% TOURISM AND CITY TAX, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE PRICE YOU SEE!
The best thing about my neighborhood is that we are 1 block from Montgomery Village which has some great shopping and dining - various bands provide music in the mall all summer long. There are several really good dining places as well as causal restaurants and places to get "goodies" Even though we are close to all this, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parks, theaters, downtown restaurants and activities are a short car ride away and the little house is in the middle of wine country.
  • Inez's tiny house was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed for our vacation through Napa. At most an hour away from most wineries, it was in a great location and provided easy access across Napa and Santa Rosa. The house itself is relatively small, but not cramped. Everything was extremely clean and well located. Check-in and check-out were very simple. We would gladly stay here again!

  • Highly recommend. This tiny house is exceptionally clean. Inez goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent location. Napa and Sonoma Valley's within driving distance. If we return to the area, Inez will be our first choice for lodging.

  • A sparkling clean Sanctuary close to freeways and right across great shopping and restaurants .. lbed was amazing .. staying again in March.

  • Inez's spot is bright and clean. Less private than some other options purely based on proximity to her home. However, she does a good job at adding touches to the rental to make you feel secluded (i.e. separate walkway, blinds, etc). The home had everything you'd need for a quick stay! Her two small dogs were a wonderful little bonus :)

  • We loved our stay in Sea Ranch at this beautiful home tucked away in the redwoods. The house was an architectural gem and had everything we needed for two days of seclusion.

  • We loved this home! It was very peaceful and quiet. The living room was so cozy and we enjoyed the wood burning stove. This is a perfect spot to kick back, play some board games, drink some wine and hang out by the fire with friends. Would definitely come back.

  • Sea ranch is a great place to visit. We used the heated swimming pool and sauna which was at the recreation center near by.

    Stephan2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway. So many different places to relax. Loved how cozy the home was and how secluded we felt. Spent time relaxing in the hammock outside, hot tubbing, and curled up inside with a book in the bench windows all over the house. Also made use of the access to Sea Ranch’s facilities and went for a swim in one of the pools. Only complaint is that I don’t live in this house!

  • Our stay at Gracianna Winery was all we had hoped for and more! Absolutely stunning, spacious loft above the tasting room. Storybook setting with birds tweeting in the vineyard. Fantastic location - we biked to several wineries. A plus - the Gracianna wines are fantastic - our hosts invited us to the main house for a lovely glass and we greatly enjoyed getting to meet them. We will absolutely be back!

Enjoy the magic of the redwoods and the beauty of the Russian River in our rustic hilltop cabin. Come for fresh air, comfort, quiet, charm, simple and beautiful design, and river time.
“Camp Noon" was built over 100 years ago. We fell in love at first sight and have spent the last few years restoring it to preserve its historic features and renovating for some modern comforts and design. Unlike your typical Russian River getaway, our property is in a clearing so we have lots of sun overhead. We named it Camp Noon to evoke summer days when the sun is high and there's plenty of time. It's a gem! The cabin is a work in progress, with a blend of new features: a Scandinavian wood burning stove, skylights, Heath tile in the bathroom, brand new beds and bedding (as of May 2019), and older features like the raw redwood floors, board and batten paneling, 50s formica countertops and a huge claw foot tub. Please note that the cabin is very old — single-wall construction, gaps in the floorboards (which are creaky!), thin glass windows— our guests should expect a rustic experience. The front room of the house is a large, open space, with cathedral ceilings, and three skylights that illuminate the house during the day and allow for stargazing at night. The wood burning stove warms up the room in the winter time, and you'll find plenty of places to curl up and relax. We have a record player, records, books, and games to keep you entertained. The cabin has two bedrooms, each one with a brand new queen-size bed and frame, purchased in May 2019. There's room for more in the living room — we have a daybed couch and two twin beds. Each bedroom has soft linens and cozy blankets and we provide extra bedding for the living room when hosting more than 4 guests. The bathroom has a large beautiful claw foot tub and newly installed Heath tiles. The kitchen is a wonderful place for everyone to congregate, with three large picture windows that look out onto the redwoods. Enjoy lively meals at the large farm table. We have an electric stove, a brand new refrigerator, a coffee maker, and a toaster oven. We also stock all of the regular kitchen tools (pots, pans, knives, cutting board, spatulas, etc). The back yard is great for BBQ's. We have fairy lights set up in the back, perfect lighting for an evening outside. The front porch is the crown jewel. Swing on the hammock, sip morning coffee, read on the couch, and listen to the crickets on summer nights. The porch has a treehouse feel. We also have stacks of fluffy blankets to curl up with if it's cold out. The cabin is fully stocked with eco-friendly, good-smelling shampoo, soaps, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, spare light bulbs, q-tips, trash bags, and sponges. The bath towels are soft and new and 100% cotton. Please bring your own beach towels. WINTER In the winter, the neighborhood is very quiet. If you're seeking solitude in the redwoods, you'll find it here. The forest can be chilly, damp, and foggy but the cabin is equipped to keep you warm: ***WE HAVE HEAT***-- a brand new, high-efficiency furnace that warms the cabin. The cabin is very old, uninsulated and definitely drafty but we try to provide amenities to keep you cozy. SUMMER The summer days can range in temperature from 75-100 degrees, with nights much cooler, in the 50s and 60s. While the beach in Summerhome Park is exclusive (members-only), there are 3 public beaches within a mile of the cabin: Mother's Beach, Steelhead Beach, and Sunset Beach. We provide rafts, a beach umbrella, and a 1-person kayak for our guests. You are welcome to eat and drink at The Lodge on the river. FALL The Russian River is magical in the fall. The crowds thin and it's very peaceful. The morning fog is fresh and the forest is quiet. The river is still navigable by canoe through October and during the week you might have the whole stretch of it to yourselves. The nights are cooler — perfect for building a fire in the wood burning stove, with the firewood we provide. SPRING The forest air is fresh and rejuvenating, the neighborhood is quiet, and the river is still wild from winter. You probably won't be able to swim in the river until the early summer, but it can still be enjoyed from the shore. You are welcome to eat and drink at The Lodge on the river. The beach! Camp Noon is just a 5 minute drive to Mother's Beach, a bit further to Sunset Beach, and about 20 mins to Steelhead Disclaimer: The place is a hundred years old and the renovation is still a work-in-progress, so there are still some quirks and rough edges: The wood floors are raw and have been through a lot, some of the windows stick, and the kitchen floor has original laminate from the 40s. If things like that sound like "rustic charm," this house is for you, if they sound like offensive hazards, probably not. The cabin isn’t necessarily kid-friendly but many families have made it work by being vigilant with little ones.
Although Sonoma County has grown up around it, this neighborhood is tucked into the woods, with a nostalgic summer-camp feeling. The weekdays and the off season are very peaceful.
  • great place, and exactly and/or better than expected. would stay here again

  • Stayed here for a weekend getaway and we loved the space! Stylish and cozy and we loved the wood burning stove. Location is about 20 mins away from Healdsburg and close to the surrounding wine country. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

  • Beautiful setting to relax and enjoy nature!

  • Loved this place! Very cozy, cottage vibes. Sparkling clean. The location is great and close to several wineries and restaurants. Would love to stay here in the summer and take advantage of the cute backyard area and porch hammock :) Had a fantastic dinner in Sebastopol at Fern Bar and loved Claypool Cellars and Red Car Wine Co. for wine tasting.

  • Definitely one of the best places I’ve ever been to! I am so glad that I found this cabin! If you are looking for a place to create good memories and have a great time with friends you just found it!

    Ester2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • 3 of us stayed at camp noon for 2 nights in February. It was a cute escape in the redwoods. I’d highly recommend getting to the Airbnb while it’s still light out, it’s tucked away in the woods, lots of winding one lane roads with drop-offs for traffic going both ways. Also just getting to the parking spot would be difficult in the dark. If you’re renting a car choose a compact one! The location was a good base for us to explore... we drove to the coast, did some hiking at Armstrong, and went to a couple vineyards. Breakfast at both the backyard and willow wood market cafe were excellent! The experience of camp noon matched our expectations and we had a great time. It is a rustic cabin experience. I do wish the main room had a little bit more of a living room set-up. The seating situation is a bit awkward for groups. Other notes- the heat and WiFi worked great for us! Also the beds were comfortable.

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time back and the place was as cute and comfy as we remember. A close-by peaceful retreat for city dwellers. Thanks!

    Julie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin in the woods is definitely special and it was so nice to spend a few nights there. The owners clearly care for the place and make it as comfy as possible, regardless of it's age and few quirks. I visited mid-week in the off season (Feb) and from what I could tell only one other neighboring home was occupied. I was looking for serenity and mostly found it! I was solo for most of the time before my friend came up for one night. There aren't curtains on any windows besides the bedrooms, and the bathrooms have textured glass- but I was aware that at night with the lights on my movements in the common spaces could easily be watched from afar. Spooked me a little but that's part of going to a cabin by yourself I guess! The Summerhome community has many houses but is also private/off the beaten path. It's a mix of both worlds I guess. Overall the cabin had everything I needed, the tub was deep and awesome with plenty of hot water to fill it up. I would stay again gladly, probably with friends during river season! PS It was an easy, beautiful drive out to the coast (plenty of coastal walking you can do in nearby Jenner), Guerneville had it's off-season charm and I enjoyed an afternoon there, and Sebastopol was a great stop on my way back to inland Sonoma County, where I live. I loved exploring West County from this vantage point. Thank you to the hosts for sharing this piece of beautiful Sonoma County with the world! <3

Modern and spacious with glass enclosed porch, high ceilings and lots of French doors, skylights and windows. Close to the city , in the very nicest area of town within a mile of downtown, walkable, or bikeable with my cruiser bikes. You’ll love the views, the location, and animals, the mini horse, goats and delicious cafe next door.
Wake up to view the hills and little animals in a very peaceful quiet setting. Unique, modern and with a wine country, rustic feeling. Has a full kitchen with a barbecue also on the back deck. I only use all natural cleaners, soaps, shampoos, no harsh chemicals or sprays. I don't use any pesticides or herbicides outdoors, all organic, trying to save the bees, and people too!
Located in the nicest east side area of Sonoma, 2 doors down from a fabulous Deli Cafe wine tasting bar. Wonderful coffee and pastries in the morning, lunch, cheese, sandwiches dinner items. Biking and walking distance to great wineries, and downtown Sonoma, less then one mile away. There is also a bike path in back of my field you can take to town, a safe beautiful walk or ride past the vineyards.
  • Jeanne's place was ideal for a visit to Sonoma - which we would recommend after visiting some of the other towns in wine country as well. You get the best of both worlds at the Blossom Farm - trees, mountains and animals right outside your backdoor, but only a 20 minute walk to Sonoma Square, which hosted more fantastic tasting rooms than you could conquer in a weekend. Sonoma Square is also the pickup point for some great winery tours, so you're in a perfect location. Sonoma's Best, a coffee/sandwich shop next door, had everything we needed for breakfast or a quick snack before starting the day, and the ability to walk downtown and save on an Uber for at least one leg of the trip was very helpful, especially in such beautiful weather. The place was clean, had great amenities (a bottle of local wine was waiting for us when we arrived), and Jeanne was a responsive and helpful host. It was a perfect trip and this place played a big part in that.

  • This was the best homebase for our girls trip to Sonoma. Really thoughtful touches throughout the home to make it a very comfortable, fun stay in a great location. Place was spotless and as described. Will 100% come again

  • Incredible private enclave with wide open room and privacy - five star ⭐️ accommodation in the heart of the wine country - know need to look anywhere else unless I’m back in town 😜

  • Beautiful home in the heard of Sonoma. The pictures look exactly as the place was, charming, modern rustic, airy, spacious. It's only a 5 minute drive from Sonoma square (the nearby town). The home was lovely and had so many thoughtful touches, plenty of supplies and great for people who like to cook - we even trimmed some broccolini from the garden for dinner one night! Our toddler loved visiting the animals every day. We can't wait to go back!

    Jen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin conveniently located near the square. Thanks for the hospitality!

Looking to get away from it all? We have the perfect escape in the redwoods of Cazadero that has served as a personal retreat from city life. We adore its creekside setting but also its proximity to both river and ocean, Sonoma county's great wineries and organic farms. Simple living, perfect with its imperfections, this rustic cabin getaway features a great hot tub, outdoor shower, and fireplace to help you relax once the day's activities are over. Our charming little '50s cabin is nestled in the heart of Cazadero on Austin Creek and is a cozy blend of rustic + midcentury modern. Like many of the cabins along the creek, it was originally built as a simple summer retreat for city folk who traveled by train to spend their leisure summer days on the beaches of the Russian River. Like our predecessors, we find the location ideal as it has made it easy for us to shoot up from the East Bay for the day or to spend a week here and forget about it all! Take a walk in Armstrong Woods, rent a paddleboat or kayak at Johnson's Beach, satisfy your hunger from any of the restaurants that reach from Guerneville to Duncans Mills, thoroughly unwind with a long soak in the hot tub, and curl up with a good book and glass of wine in front of your fireplace at day's end. At Cazadero, you can fit in as much or as little as you like during your stay.
Locals and transplants alike mingle in Cazadero. With a population of 420 people, Cazadero is a one-block town consisting of one general store, one post office, and the volunteer fire department. For those who visit and those who stay, Cazadero is a retreat from the city. This unique microclimate which supports redwood forests also supports a myriad of native flora and fauna - if you stay long enough you may be lucky enough to spy frogs, herons, owls, and river otters, all of whom call Austin Creek home.
  • Julia was awesome host. Very responsive and thoughtful. The space is beautiful with unmentioned details that were a pleasing surprise. Super clean. WiFi worked great. Really liked the DVD collection and the curated books. The location is close to so much hiking! Minutes from the coast in one direction minutes from the redwoods in the other. Will definitely be back. We stayed 3 nights 4 days and it wasn’t enough time. Thanks Julia!

    Anthony2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This simple cabin in the woods is truly my favorite airbnb so far. The rustic creekside setting, cozy fireplace and towering redwoods are almost surreal. Add to this a wraparound deck leading to a hot tub and outdoor shower and you’ve got one dream of a tiny cabin in the woods. Reviewers are quite right - the photos simply do not capture how charming this place is. We loved our time here and honestly wish we had booked an extended stay. Half our time here was spent just relaxing on the deck and around the property, the other half, exploring the eclectic towns in the area, each with their own brand of local flavor. Checking in and out was a breeze. It really has everything that we could ever need..the game boards were a great touch. We highly recommend this place! My hubby and I can’t wait to return!

    Sari2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Photos do not do justice to this little piece of heaven. Fireplace, hot tubbing under the redwoods and being in the creek combined to make this stay unique. All the little touches - board games, guitar, books and movies - made our stay just as fun indoors as out. Although it is tucked away in the tiny town of Cazadero, it was the perfect home base for doing activities in the area and this hidden gem really is the center between river, ocean, and wineries. Housekeeping does a great job here to boot! This little cabin is clean and well- managed. Communication too was easy and prompt. Looking forward to coming back for a longer stay!

    Christo2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This wonderful cabin exceeded my expectations! It’s a beautiful, relaxing space overlooking a creek with a lovely hot tub. We enjoyed cozying up in front of the fireplace and there are so many extra touches like games, books, music, movies, extra blankets, fire wood etc. I felt taken care of. This is a fabulous place!

  • Julia's place is so sweet! We loved hearing the creek, birds, and meditating in the tea room each morning. A perfect place to get quiet and slow. Would return again!

  • This is a peaceful, quiet country location, which is what we wanted. There are french doors off the bedroom and the kitchen with nice garden areas. This is a great value for the area, close to the ocean, the redwoods, or local wineries.

Play golden oldies on an upright piano in a home filled with antique furniture, folk art, and gleaming hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathroom also retain their vintage vibe. Wander into the garden and have lunch in the dappled shade of a pergola.
The house has two bedrooms that look out on the gardens. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Water in the house is delicious, purified well water. A 55" tv is in one of the bedrooms (disguised by a pull-down map). It has Roku but no cable. Enjoy lots of games and books to read, a piano in the living room and access to high speed internet and WiFi.
The house is located in apple country, outside the small town of Sebastopol. It's very easy to find in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood across the street from a Christmas tree farm. Apple orchards and vineyards are within walking distance.

Vaulted ceilings make the Studio's 400 square feet feel even larger, as do the French doors opening onto lush gardens. The roomy sectional and Tempur-Pedic king bed are just right for sprawling, and guests find all that’s needed in the clean, modern bathroom. A small private patio offers shade for coffee or cocktails, and the quiet, residential neighborhood allows restive sleep. Studio 455 is located a few blocks from a world-famous spa, and just minutes from Sonoma's charming downtown.
Immaculate and uncluttered, our vibe is comfortably minimalist. Cleanliness is the core of the Studio's aesthetic. Luxe linens, soft towels, and cozy bathrobes await guests, who may nap, read, or screen a movie on the deep sectional.
Studio 455 is located in a residential neighborhood three miles from Sonoma's downtown square. We're near the hip, vibrant scene off the Highway 12 corridor where you can get pho, barbecue, fresh Mexi, or a great burger, all in an easy walk from our place.

Sit out by the fire pit after a meal from the Weber grill in this rustic home set on 4 acres. Exposed-wood ceilings soar above hardwood floors, with designer lighting and a fireplace to set the mood. End the day with a soak in the claw-foot tub.
Please note there is another Airbnb on the property within 100 feet of this one. Both are very private and completely separate from one another. Our cozy studio features stainless steel kitchen appliances, subway tiles, shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, recessed lights, fireplace heater, NEW Nectar mattress (so comfortable!) and storage shed with washer and dryer. It includes a spacious, rustic bathroom with beautiful claw foot tub and updated fixtures. You will find a nice lounge space in the backyard with firepit, table and chairs. A weber grill is available upon request.
The property is located off Petrified Forest Road, minutes from downtown Calistoga, but at the same time feels off the beaten path. Hans Fahden Winery and Triple S Ranch are close by, while Santa Rosa and St Helena are both just a short drive away. Please note there is another Airbnb on the property but it is a separate structure and you will have your own space and privacy.

We will definitely be back. (Take note the round wooden hot tub is not working. They have another more traditional hot tub on the deck to use instead).

  • Felt so cozy in the Gingerbread house with the morning light coming through the stained glass that it was hard to get out of bed! Really a peaceful space, and the distant noise of the traffic was no bother at all, and visiting with the exotic birds was fun!

  • Amazing place much better than expected the parrots in sanctuary are so cute and don't forget to say hi to them they will respond back 🥰🥰

    Umer2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very unique experience for us- one which we thoroughly enjoyed- an adventure! Both of the little adobe type houses- the gingerbread and the hobbit- were so adorable- we felt like we were in a fairy tale. We did not mind the short walk to the bathroom or the shower- both of which were stocked with everything one would need- including a flashlight which is definitely needed to get from point a to point b. Someone with mobility issues may want to ask host some specific questions before booking. The location is great if you are wanting to hang out in the Geyserville wine country area- being only a few steps away from 2 excellent (Zagat rated!) restaurants and an excellent coffee place. It was certainly a stay we will never forget. Quirky , interesting (temple devoted to worship of Isis is on the property) , kind of a "new agey" feel to it - I felt I was transported to the 60s. A film crew from Germany was apparently there documenting interesting sacred/holy places or retreats in California- we could see why- there was a lot to take in. A real treat for the photographer. A stand out was how quickly the host responded to questions and how friendly and kind everyone we met at this unique destination was.

  • A fantastic stay for those looking to disconnect from the modern world. This space is humble, yet beautiful. Carolyn was a great host and provided many great local tips. You'll enjoy waking up to wild turkey calls and walking around the property, exploring the waterfall and star gazing hut.

A hot tub overlooking the mountains, a bridge through the woods to a stargazing spot, a cozy cottage with a wood burning stove...we couldn’t have asked for more. This really was the perfect balance for how I wanted to be in nature and how my husband needed to have his "comforts" available. This place is magical and if you're looking to disconnect for a few days in a beautiful and thoughtful setting, this is it! "This is one of the most special places on Airbnb." - Beau, August 2017. "A most sublime space, location, feel, aroma. Spoil yourself and take advantage of one of the most peaceful and beautiful spaces I have been. More specifically, the comforts - beds, pillows, views, kitchen, etc. all are five star." - Tim, Oct 2015
Featured on the TV show “Tiny House Hunting," s02 e11. Contemporary, comfy home with hot tub overlooking the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Modern living amidst ancient redwoods. Said one guest: "I haven't been this at ease in years." See why "I am convinced Robert's place is the best airbnb ever." "PERFECT. I can't wait to come back." "MAJOR PROPS for the speaker system." “I've probably already taken 200 photos from your deck." “I haven't been this pleased and at ease in years." “You have the most lovely and righteous oasis in the woods." “Feeling so lucky to be here." "MAGICAL" This really special and lovely home is under 90 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge (without traffic...). Fabulous, tasteful, well-maintained, and totally modern, the house is built into a hill in the redwood forest and overlooks the Russian River Valley. The thoroughly contemporary "cabin" is located near the little town of Monte Rio, CA (about 3 miles west of Guerneville). There is nothing better than sitting in that hot tub overlooking the pristine beauty of the gorgeous russian river valley. The place is great for a couple or a solo traveler who just wants to chill out in a really beautiful and special place. About the place. The house is about 720 sq ft and thoroughly modern with an ingenious use of space. The "loft like" bedroom is atop a spiral staircase. From the bed are redwood trees framed by skylights. Linens are provided. There is a large deck with a table for outside meals, and there is a wonderful hot tub. The hot tub will take several hours to warm up after you arrive and will get up to 104 - the manufacturer does not let the tub get hotter than 104. The hot tub is treated between guests and fully serviced on Wednesdays so if your visit includes a Wednesday the hot tub people might show up and we can let you know ahead of time at what time to expect them. There are two couches outside as well. The speaker system for the excellent indoor/outdoor stereo system really enhances chilling out on the deck. The place has a very modern kitchen with an electric stove. There is a gas grill on the deck, and we try to provide enough propane for the grill. You will find the usual implements of cooking destruction. Some guests bring and leave spices and oils and some things accumulate (mustard, oregano) and others go quick (olive oil). Just to be safe, if you love to cook you can bring what you know you need, or check what's been left first and just replace what you use. You can walk down the hill to a lovely beach on the Russian River, and the walk takes about 10-15 minutes. If you are walker, you can walk about a mile to Monte Rio where there are a few restaurants, cafes, and bars (some only open in the Summer months). Guerneville, which has more restaurants and bars (including 2 gay bars) is about 3 miles away. In Guerneville and Monte Rio you can also rent canoes or kayaks for a day on the river. In the other direction, you drive along the river and in about 10 minutes come to Jenner and Goat Rock State Park, a spectacular park where river meets ocean. Bodega Bay is quite close as well. Charming Occidental, with great breakfast spots, is a short drive. You are also near the Northwood Golf Course, Armstrong Woods Park, and easily more than 50 world class wineries. Plus hiking all over the place in this overwhelming beauty. Unlike many local listings, you get the comfort of knowing we obtained a vacation rental permit that mandates the 2 guest limit. So no additional guests and unfortunately no children or pets either. Thanks in advance for understanding. Note that only Verizon and Sprint have a cell signal here. Also note that the "heater" option is not checked. There is no heating in this house! There is a wood burning stove, and we recommend buying wood if you would like a fire. There is kindling provided but if you might have trouble starting a fire in a fireplace, we recommend bringing Duraflame logs with you. You'll be glad you did. The house lets in abundant light. This is by design! This is noted because some guests may want to bring an eye mask. This place is a great opportunity to just chill out, go explore Sonoma county, taste wines - whatever you want. Many guests don't ever even want to leave the place at all. The house is gorgeous, and the area spectacular. You'll love it! Guests have access to the entire house and surrounding property, including the hot tub, outdoor gas grill, and speaker system. Plus it is an easy walk to the Russian River for sightseeing and summer swimming. The hosts are not present during the visits from guests. When booking is complete, we provide an access code to retrieve keys to the house and we email a "welcome letter" with house rules and suggested activities in the area. We are available 24/7 by phone and check email frequently, but try to leave guests alone. The "neighborhood" is a 5mph country road that winds through a redwood forest. There are not many neighbors and the folks you do see out walking are friendly. The best thing about the "neighborhood" is the scenic walks, the proximity to the Russian River and surrounding activities like hiking, swimming, biking, great restaurants, and, of course, wine tasting. Parking is included, and a car is required. Note that a large SUV will have trouble navigating the narrow country roads. SPECIAL NOTE: Friday and Saturday bookings must include a 3rd night, either Sunday or Thursday, unless the Thursday or Sunday is already booked. Last minute exceptions can be accommodated when possible.

  • This place is truly amazing. My only regret is that I didn't bring food with me so that I didn't have to leave at all during stay! I was considering spending the day wine tasting, but once I saw the incredible deck and realized that I could spend the whole day there, I completely changed my plans. I did leave to head down to Sonoma Coast State Park to watch the sunset, which I definitely recommend. Also, heed Robert's advice and do not drive to the house for the first time at night (if you can avoid it). The drive up is like nothing I have experienced, and I was very glad I wasn't doing it for the first time in the dark. Thanks, Robert! I look forward to coming back to this relaxing getaway!

  • House was super charming! Very relaxed vibe with amazing views.

    Katherine2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is adorable and the deck is breathtaking! We loved our stay! We are recommending it to all our friends.

    Shannon2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place is exactly as described by all the other reviews. It's important to note that the ONLY source of heat is the fire that you build when you arrive. Without fire you will not have a pleasant or comfortable stay in January when the temperatures reach the low 40s at night. That being said, we burned through 6 bundles of wood that we purchased at the Safeway in Guerneville. We supplemented with some of Robert's wood, but you will definitely need to bring your own.

    Lanette2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place was amazing! It's quiet and secluded, had everything we needed, and we loved the hot tub and the fireplace!

    David2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a magical stay. Was truly stunning, and such a memorable experience.

    Drew2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is insanely beautiful! Perfectly peaceful! The only bummer was leaving!!!

    Zack2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Heads up: Robert’s place is *spectacular* in a way that hits you as soon as you check in. The deck area with its view high up in the trees left me speechless. You’re really in a special spot there amongst the redwoods. All host descriptions are accurate & everything worked well. Bed was comfortable, the hot tub was perfect, and it was helpful to have a full kitchen. Robert was quick and friendly with replies when I had questions. I would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to several friends.

Located in the quiet and safe residential neighborhood of Graton. Graton is a small town filled with artists and environmentally minded people. We have very friendly neighbors. Some of our immediate neighbors are: metal sculpture artist, florist, pottery artist, textile artist and painter, photographer, animal activist, jewelry maker, montessori teacher, butterfly cultivator, art gallery manager, solar power business owner, shaman, backyard farmers and homesteaders, well you get the idea:)  Please note that the town of Graton is located in a rural setting, but the cottage itself is in a residential neighborhood with neighbors close by. Most of the time the neighborhood is very quiet and we live on a dead end street, but occasionally a neighbor may have a gathering during the day (extremely rare), or someone may be doing some construction or repair work on their house, kids may be playing, or someone may be doing landscaping, etc. In other words, there are direct close neighbors so if you are looking for a remote rural property that is silent with no neighbors this is not it.  Please be aware that we live in a rural area. You may hear crickets or even frogs at night. You may see squirrels jumping in trees next to the house. You may see wild turkeys, quail, deer, bats, hawks, or even an owl here and there either down on the nature trail or just walking down the street. You may see a beautiful red dragonfly drinking from the pool, ladybugs or even a spider or hummingbird on occasion in the backyard. In the spring, summer, or fall you may see some paper wasps (not aggressive unless they are attacked) or bees here and there on plants or flying around in the backyard and in the surrounding neighborhood. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone, we have never been stung the whole time we have lived here and a guest has never been stung either. If you are allergic though, you should stay elsewhere to be safe. We regularly check for paper wasp nests in the summer and get rid of them Immediately but if you are in this west county area you may still see some flying around here and there outside in the summer. They are a part of the natural environment here and serve a purpose, everyone we know in the area has some on their property and we have to learn to coexist with them to some extent in this natural environment. We hardly even notice them anymore, although we do go to great lengths to do everything we can to control them on our property but obviously we can never be totally in control of nature. You may see fake paper mache nests as a wasp deterrent or you may smell some slight peppermint or clove oil in an essential oil diffuser outside as a deterrent as well. If you are someone that needs a 100% controlled environment without any of these "nature" elements, then please find a different property that is more suitable to your needs. Also, please remember to look up and enjoy the stars at night, they are bigger and brighter here! The cottage is located in the heart of it all. Countless wineries / vineyards in the area to go wine tasting. Five minute walk to downtown Graton restaurants such as The Underwood, and Willowood. Five minute walk to the fabulous Bowman Cellars Wine Tasting Room which is three blocks away. Red Car and Dutton and many other great wineries are a quick five minute drive from the cottage. Five minute drive to the Barlow and the town of Sebastopol. Five minutes to Forestville. Ten minutes to Occidental.  Fifteen minute drive to Guerneville. Ten minutes to Russian River. 20 minute drive to the beach (Bodega Bay) 25 minutes to Healdsburg (take the back way, very pretty drive).
  • Beautiful home, great communication, thoughtful touches! Loved everything about our stay!

    Jack2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • WOW!! I’m pretty sure no other Airbnb will ever top this one. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Farmhouse Oasis for four nights and they were 4 of the best with amazing hosts. That attention to detail and all the extra special touches are what makes this B&B the best. It truly felt like we were staying at a luxury resort with the welcome gift, pillow bar, bathrobes, the essential oils and sprays, the tub and soaking salts, the coffee bar, etc etc. it was an experience that we will never forget and I can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

    Amy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing space. We wanted a quiet get away and this was just perfect. Close to several restaurants and wineries but not too busy. Just loved all the details and the private backyard and pool was better than I expected. Worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again.

    Lance2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a special special place! From the minute you walk in you immediately feel the clean and relaxing energy. I absolutely loved the furnishing and design. There are so many amenities you can’t find at most Airbnb’s. We had our dog Milo with us and he felt right at home. We are so grateful to Trinette and Chris for all of their recommendations and communicating quickly throughout our stay. We will definitely be back hopefully sooner than later.

    Brandi2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Farmhouse Oasis From the minute you walk in the front door be prepared to be treated to a tranquil and relaxing environment . Trinette & Chris have really put a lot of love into their place and the attention to detail really makes this a special destination. Sparkling clean and full of light with a fully loaded kitchen complete with French press and freshly ground coffee or lovely organic teas to begin your day. The pool area is reminiscent of your own private Palm Springs resort and the master suite upstairs with claw foot tub and extremely comfortable bed rivals the best resort. Graton is so charming you don’t even need to get back in your car till you leave. There are wine tasting rooms, restaurants, cafes and hiking trails just a block or two away. If you do go further afield the house manual has great recommendations.

    Jennifer2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • While the pictures will likely sell you on the property, it actually surpasses them in real life. Trinette and Chris's place is obviously a well designed one, but their attention to the details is what takes it from a great home, to a special one. Our New Year's escape from the city was made memorable thanks to all that this home (and the region) has to offer, and the hospitality provided to us. Both inside and out, this home is a real gem.

    Erik2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Booked this place with a friend and we had an amazing stay. So inspirational! Will be back soon with my husband.

    Sandra2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. Would highly recommend. The interior is among the most beautiful and thoughtfully created airbnbs I have ever stayed in (and I have stayed at about 20). It is spacious, comfortable and has everything you need. When we stayed it was too cold to enjoy the outdoor space but we enjoyed looking out to it from the living room and imagine it would be wonderful at other times of the year. We were underwhelmed by the immediate area around the cottage. There is a walking trail close that was nice but you can't go far without having to walk on streets and you pass by a mixture of things - vineyards, industrial containers, day labor center, farms, etc. All that said, it is driving distance to lots of wonderful places and the cottage itself more than makes up for the area around it.

If you love the modern, clean style of boutique hotels, but crave privacy, serenity and glorious natural beauty, this is the place for you. We're that way, too. So we designed and built our modern hilltop hideaway to create a best-of-both-worlds experience for our guests. Call it Zen luxury with a view... and every amenity, including breakfast! From the moment you set foot in VILLA CIEL to the moment you leave, you’ll experience a heightened feeling of inspiration, relaxation and reconnection.
The French word "CIEL" has two meanings: "SKY" and "HEAVEN." When you visit, you'll know why this was the obvious name for our very special vacation retreat. Located in the most scenic part of Western Sonoma County, with long views over the Mayacama mountains (which straddle Sonoma and Napa counties) and rolling hills studded with vineyards, orchards, and farms, VILLA CIEL was designed from the ground up for guests who seek a stylish, serene haven with virtually every amenity they could desire. That means modern architecture, design and furniture... a private hot tub... fresh flowers, delicious breakfast, French press, and chilled drinks... up-to-the-minute technology (ultra-fast internet, private EV charger, bluetooth speaker, 4K Smart TV)... private parking and entrance... your own washer and dryer, towel warmers, heated floors and air conditioning — all in a stunning rural setting, with MAJESTIC, amphitheater-like vistas. VILLA CIEL takes advantage of Sonoma County’s famously fabulous weather, with a classic, airy, indoor-outdoor design. Drift in and outside of your scenic wraparound deck. Stargaze. Watch the sun (or moon) rise from your private hot tub, suspended high above the rolling fields on our 8-acre property. Or gaze in awe as the fog rolls in, a glass of local Pinot in your hand. Our Mediterranean climate offers generous, dry, sunny days for much of the year, and always-cool nights... perfect for all-day fun adventures like sightseeing, hiking, wine-tasting, brewery-hopping, cycling, shopping, laughing, and dining... and deep, restful sleep at the end of the day. Speaking of sleep, you'll fall into a super-comfortable bed with new Leesa mattress and ultra-soft sheets and down comforter. You'll also relish a spa-like bathroom with oversized shower drenched in morning sunlight, heated floors, fluffy towels with towel warmer, robes and slippers, fully stocked with toiletries and bathroom necessities. You'll even find a few extras... like your own sparkling-clean washer and dryer, ironing board, and (yes!) even a clean yoga mat — everything you need to get comfortable and stay awhile. Enter your suite from a private redwood door onto a generous, sleek deck with a jaw-dropping view. The deck features a brand-new spa, all-weather seating, outdoor grill, outdoor heater, and large, modern Italian dining room table — the perfect setup for cocktails, wine-tasting and al-fresco dining. The deck also frames a lovely kitchenette and indoor bar with wraparound windows (it doubles as a laptop station should you be so inclined). You’ll find your kitchenette stocked with delicious, local, organic breakfast fare, as well as fresh fruit — and perhaps a few other seasonal goodies as well, courtesy of your chef-hostess. If you need to go online, you’ll definitely appreciate our hyper-fast internet service. VILLA CIEL also has a brand-new Ultra HD-4K Smart Roku TV with active Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Now, Sling and Acorn accounts — and many dozens of other services available — if you feel like nesting and binge-watching. We've tried to think of every luxurious amenity you could desire... but the truth is, the ultimate "amenity" is the stunning, year-round beauty of Sonoma County and our magic hilltop hideaway. At VILLA CIEL, you will feel the intensity of nature’s ever-changing beauty and the special bounty that is the gift of this gorgeous region, barely an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge, and 20 minutes from the stunning Pacific Ocean. So come join us. Rest. Recharge. Reconnect with what inspires you. Celebrate a special occasion. Enjoy a truly romantic sojourn. Stay for a long weekend or a blissful vacation. VILLA CIEL offers all that a boutique hotel offers... and plenty of what it can’t— privacy, peace, serenity and... most of all... glorious natural beauty.
Only an hour from the Golden Gate Bridge and 20 minutes from the ocean, you'll be forgiven if you think you might’ve taken a wrong turn and landed in Tuscany (or Scotland, if you're at the coast!). Such is the power, beauty and diversity of the weather and landscape that surrounds us here. VILLA CIEL is perfectly situated to take advantage of all that this special region offers. Located at the top of a quiet hill, we are secluded and serene, with breathtaking views all around. Yet we are only 10-15 minutes from some of the most incredible food — casual to elevated — available anywhere. And no more than 45 minutes away from numberless scenic towns, villages and hamlets... iconic tasting rooms... redwood groves and parks... pastures and prairies... and stunning Pacific Coast beaches. The vibrant small town of Sebastopol, with its world-class eateries, wineries, breweries, distillers, its bookstores, antiques, theater company and art-cinema cineplex — and the amazing Barlow artisanal complex — is a mere 12 minutes down the road. Healdsburg — world-famous for its plaza, restaurants and unique shops — is a gorgeous 30-minute drive away across the Russian River and along the vineyard-studded Dry Creek Valley. Enjoy an unforgettable massage, facial or Japanese cedar bath at the award-winning Osmosis (5 minutes away). Go on a wine trail, an art trail, a cheese trail, forage for mushrooms, visit the old-grove redwoods at the astonishing Armstrong Woods. If cycling’s your thing, you’ll soon see why Western Sonoma County is mecca for scenic biking — and a frequent stage of the Tour de California. You could come here a dozen times, and never run out of inspiring, exciting things to do. (In fact, that’s why we ended up moving here...) We are here to help you make the most of your time with us.
  • A charming, quiet and clean respite from the every day hustle and bustle of the world. Viviane and Marc are terrific hosts that genuinely care about the quality of their guest's stay. The view is spectacular and the peace that comes along with it...priceless.

    Erin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place!!! The view! The hot tub! The bed that feels like a cloud! The space is very nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches (robes, heated towel rack, bottle of champagne waiting on ice at arrival) made our stay very special.

  • My husband and I just spent 2 glorious nights at Villa Ciel. The setting is spectacular and Viviane’s attention to detail is pretty amazing. From breakfast including home made granola to luxurious robes for the delightful hot tub to so much more made it a perfect stay. However, what really impressed us both was the kindness and hospitality of Viviane and Marc. They both want out of their way to assure our stay was special and it most definitely was. We are already planning our return!

  • An amazing space. I wish I could live there. Literally did not want to leave. Everything is high quality, and well though out.

  • What a charming and relaxing place to stay. We especially enjoyed the views of the valley from the patio and Jacuzzi as well as the thoughtful touches left by the hosts, including local bread, eggs, and granola! We wished we could have stayed longer and would love to stay here again!

  • Viviane and Marc are incredible as is their Villa! Do not hesitate to stay here! This was my most favorite part of my trip. The Villa was clean with amazing views. The personal touches and goodies Viviane left made the trip so memorable. I cannot wait to stay here again!

  • San’s studio was the perfect getaway from SF. The soaking tub was amazing and the home had everything that I needed. Also love that Zan was very communicative and the place is dog friendly! It was so nice to wake up to the sunrise and enjoy my cup of coffee with a beautiful view of the trees. Will definitely be back.

  • Lovely space in Sonoma county! Perfectly located to visit all that the area has to offer. Bodega Bay, Russian River, wine country, cheese and food! The space is perfect for a couple. It was lovely to have coffee in the morning and look out to a spectacular view. The space has everything you need and Zan is wonderfully warm. We loved meeting her and her two pups! Thanks, Zan! We definitely would love to return!

  • This place is a total gem and the perfect home-base for anyone who wants to explore the West County of Sonoma. I highly recommend it! Zan is a marvelous host and was responsive to anything I needed while also giving me plenty of privacy. It was great to feel part of the Occidental community. The place had everything I needed—the mini kitchen was perfectly efficient and the fireplace made the nighttimes cozy—plus many luxury touches, like an incredibly comfortable bed and huge modern bathroom. I enjoyed the stunning hillside views, morning sunshine, and peaceful vibes. Thank you, Zan!

  • Zan's delightful studio is a quaint peaceful spot to land when you're exploring the coastal area. The tub in the bathroom is delicious and so relaxing. All was as described in the listing. Everything was clean and in fine working order. We brought our pekingese dog who got along fine with Zan's 2 pups. Lilah, the chihuahua mix, was very friendly and curious. Sochi, the other pup, greeted us upon our arrival but was less than interested in hanging around. If your pup is aggressive, be careful. This is essentially Lilah's house. The room overlooks Sebastopol to the east (you gotta check out Sebastopol, especially for Sunday market). Be sure to head to Freestone and bring cash to the Wildflour bakery there. DO NOT SKIP IT.

  • Our romantic weekend at Stace’s couldn’t have been better! The space was surprisingly spacious and sparkling clean. We really enjoyed the private hot tub as well as the heater close to the bed for those cold mornings.

  • I went up with my wife and dog, we had the best time just hanging out in the house and hot tub. It was cozy and cute. All the windows made it feel like a treehouse which was fun. We will definitely be returning for another weekend getaway. It’s was pure magic. Communication with Stace was effortless. Highly recommended for a romantic reset from city life. Super grateful.

  • Had such a lovely and relaxing time. Highly suggest getting out there before the sun goes down so it’s easier to find. Close enough to town but far out enough to be able to really disconnect.

  • Stace's studio was very clean and cozy. The hot tub was a great amenity for relaxing after a day of exploring. Stace was very responsive and kind. I would stay here again in the future. The road to the studio is a bit windy but we became accustomed to it after the first 2 drives.
